MM Classification view problem

Hi Experts,
I have a query regrading material master classification view which i 'm describing below.please suggest a solution for this.
We have inserted three custom fields in the materail master BASIC DATA view,but when we are trying to save a material with these custom fields from Classification view,fields are not getting updated into the respective database tables.
Please let us know the problem for this....

try this FM
UPDATE_MATERIAL_CLASSIFICATION
and also you can try with the Enhancement MGA00001
this user exit is trgger when the you are creating/Changing the material from MM01/MM03
you can also look into the FM EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001

Problem in MM02 for classification view

Dear All,
I am facing some problem in MM02 for extending classification view. It is behaving strangely in SHDB while recording, some of the screens are not dispalying properly. Anyway I have recorded and it is working fine,but the values are not updating in mm02 . Can any body tell me why it is behaving differently in SHDB and what is the solution for it??

Thanks for the reply. But why not succeded with BDC? I am so curious to know why the tcode is behaving differently in recording and in normal process? and even though there is no error message why it is not updating the values??

Problem in material master LSMW - Classification view

Hello all,
I have created LSMW for material master upload with standard input method. Material is getting created thr's this, but 'classification view' is not getting created only for some material groups. Functional consultant is saying that there is no such configuration exists in system regarding material groups.
Plz advice how to resolve this?.

Merging Basic data View and Classification View in Material Master

Hi,
There is a requirement to append Classification View under Basic Data View and then finally to delete Classification View.
As per my understanding, it is not possible. Please let me know if it is possible, if so, please let me know how is it possible.

No Material classification view in material master.

Hello all,
I have created LSMW for material master upload . Material is getting created through this, but 'classification view' is not getting created.
But i can see the material- class assignment in CL20N.
This problem is for specific material group.
Is there any relation between material group & classification view?
Plz advice how to resolve this?.

I found more information:
Batch Input for CL20N is no longer supported.
But you can continue to use batch input with the old transaction cl20.
Please have a look at note 943559, point 2. It would be even better to
use BAPI's instead. Please consult the notes 213120 and 373824 about the
possibilities you've got.
You can find information about the relevant Bapi's in transaction BAPI via:
- Cross-Application Components
- Classification
- ObjectClassification

Bdc for MM01 with classification view

Hi all,
I need to create materials using mm01 with classification view. since there is no bapi supporting this view, i am ding by bdc.
The problem is in classification view once i give the class type and name a screen pops with caption
characteristic value assignment, but theere are no charateristics displayed - wat values do i have to enter here >
once i leave this screen the characteristics show up one after the other and i can load the details. but then while tryin to save error comes staing incnsisitent value assigned. wat do i ener in the intermediate screen t avoid this error.

hi when you are creating a classification view with characteristics.. you need to do all at once... you cannot modify..
all you can do is delete the whole view and create with all the changed again.. I dont memorize the BAPI .. but you have BAPIdelete.. BAPIadd..

How to create the classification view to the customer ?

Hi All ,
I need to create a classification view (Xd03->extras->classification) to the customer in the customer master programmatically. I.e. for an existing customer , I need to assign the class and corresponding characteristic values based on a condition .
1) Is there a BAPI or FM that assigns the class and characteristics to the customer ?.
2)When there is no classification data for a customer , Xd03-extras-> classifications will give a message that Class is not assigned . How SAP Is reading this data?
3)What is the table that I can see the link B/w Customer and class ?
It is urgent , Please help Me .

i've got the same problem.
On my search through DDIC I found table KSSK with key: CLINT and OBJEK (customer number).
Perhaps it helps
I solved the prob with the FMs BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.

Material master classification view mandatory

Hi All,
Can we make classification view required for any material creation using MM01.
We want the user to maintain a value in the classification view before the user is allowed to save and create a new material.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi SAP friends,
I found a solution to this problem.
Use the user exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001. Call the function module MAIN_PARAMETER_GET to get the PSTAT (maintenance status) during material master creation. If PSTAT does not have a 'C' value, then it means the classification view was not maintained.
To check further if a class type and a class was maintained in the view itself, call the function module CLAP_DDB_ALLOCATION_FR_BUFFER. Pass the value 'MARA' to the PTABLE parameter and the corresponding CLASSTYPE (could be '022', as is my case) and the I_CLASS ('FIFO_BATCH' in my case). This function module will return the T_ALLOCATIONS table. If the table is blank, it means no class type and class were maintained.
Then you can just display the appropriate error message.

CLASSIFICATION VIEW / MATERIAL MASTER

HI EXPERTS,
I am facing a problem regarding classification view of a material master.
In my organisation for a perticular material type I have to maintain CLASSIFICATION view. But by mistake I forgot to maintain classification view of some material.
There are more than 1000 material , so it is not possible to check each material individually and if classification view is not maintained that I have to maintain it.
Kindly reply me with some standrad method, so that I will check for which material classification view is maintained or not. According to that I will proceed.

MM50 is the way.
If you didn't add the classification for a material then you have to extend the material with the classification view. If you enter Maintenance Status C and your material type, it will lsit all materials that DO NOT have a classification view created.
If however, you created the classification view, but didn't enter one of classification values, this will not help. You could try the tools in Classification System --> Environment -->Reporting.

To Create a Classification View by using Bapi

Dear All,
I want to create Classification view in Material Master using Bapi. I am using the bapi called BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE.
In that I am getting the valid output. But the problem is, the view is not created in the material master for the particular material.
Is it any authorization object is required to create the classification view in material master using this bapi.Please help me on that.
Let me know any other bapi is creating Classification view for the given material.

After the calling of BAPI BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE, read the RETURN table field TYPE = 'S'
Then call the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
This BAPI will update the records in Tables
Syntax
READ TABLE it_return INTO wa_return WITH KEY type = 'S'.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
    CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'.
    LOOP AT it_return INTO wa_return WHERE type <> 'S'.
      WRITE :/ wa_return-message_id,wa_return-type,wa_return-message.
    ENDLOOP.
ENDIF.

Remote Control and Remote View Problem

Hi,
I work at a High School running Netware 6.0 SP5 and Zen works 4.01 ir7.
Remote Control and Remote View works great but I noticed one problem.
We have a logo of the school that is forced down on to the desktop when a
user logs in through group policies. This logo works perfect for the
desktop wall paper and loads every time a user logs in.
When I Remote Control or Remote View a computer the users desktop wall
paper turns from the logo being forced down through group policies to the
desktop to a blue desktop wall paper.
I would prefer the desktop wall paper staying the schools logo when I
Remote Control or Remote View because if the desktop wall paper changes to
the blue color I mentioned above when I Remote Control or Remote View the
users computer, they will know that someone is taking over their computer
which sometimes we dont want them knowing.
We have Windows 98SE computer running Novell Client 3.4 and we have some
computers running Windows XP Professional SP1 and Windows XP Professional
SP2 both running Novell Client 4.91 SP2.
The Remote Control and Remote View problem of the desktop wall paper
changing on the users computer occurs on all operating systems mentioned
above.
Is there a solution to my above problem? When Remote Controlling and
Remote Viewing someone's computer I don't want the desktop wall paper to
change.

I need to create Classification View for a Material. The user would provide the data in the file, example

Class type TCLA-KLART
Class Type description TCLAT-ARTXT
Class Group TCLG-KLAGR
Class Group Description TCLGT-KTEXT
Class M_CLASB-CLASS
Class Description M_CLASB-CSCHG

Characteristics RCTAV-ATNAM
Characteristics Description CABNT-ATBEZ
I read in the posts there is BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE. But I am not able to Map the above fields to pass to this BAPI.
Can someone please suggest me how to do this..

Thanks for the suggestion. But i want to do this through a program. There is a selection screen with 6 radio buttons based o view to be created and an input field for the filename.

How to get the values inputted by the user in Classification view of MM02

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the inputted values in Classification view of MM02/MM01? I tried to use CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS but this gets the values that is currently saved in the tables and not the values that the user recently inputted in the screen.
