MRP Requirements Schedulling

Hello,
I need some help in finding a standard solution or a turn-around to schedule the delivery of the requirements calculated in MRP.
The logic implemented already is something like this:
1) MRP runs in background everyday in the morning and calculates the requirements.
2) The purchase requisitions of those requirements are automatically generated.
3) A second background job converts the purchase requisitions into purchase orders.
But the requirements must have two deliveries ( [x%] in the morning of the next delivery date n1 and [1-x%] in the afternoon of that same day n1). How can i split the requirements into two different requisitions or purchase orders, based on a defined split percentage?
Thank you for any help,
VMF

Hi,
The only standard feature that I can think of that has the potential to split planning is qouta arrangement.
You can set it up in such a way that planning is split in a certain predefined percentage, but the catch is that normally it is split between different vendors. So you need to work a bit around to see if you can manage.
Alternatively, you can change the batch job that is converting requisition into orders in such a way that each requisition is split into 2 orders by the predefined percentage.

Mario

  • How to check whether stock cover MRP requirements

    Hi Everybody,
Could you please tell me how to check whether stock cover MRP requirements?
My user hope to block GR for PO. Because before GR, customer decrease their order qty. However, it is difficult if buyer decrease the PO qty manually. So, they hope SAP can calculate and block GR.
I know we can add the control in user exit of MIGO. However, I dont know how to check the stock whether cover MRP requirements. anybody can tell me what is the standard function? of course, it is okay if you have other solution such as via standard configurations.
    Thank you in advanced.
    Regards
    Henry

    Hello Ravi,
    Thank you for your reminder.
We have double confirmed with our client. It is very difficult to using Scheduling Agreements instead of PO. because lots of job have to be changed such as
    1. Share our Scheduling Agreements with suppliers on a new system such as Internet.
    2. PO release strategy will be put into Scheduling Agreements. I dont know how to to reach this.
Customer may random decrease their order Qty even if they have sent formal order to us. So, we have to block GR for our supplier even if sent PO already. In OEM industry, it is truth already.
    Hello BK,
I know in MD04, we can manually list. But, please tell me which function (SE37) can identify. We hope can call the function in user exit of MIGO.

  • Showing non-MRP relevant Schedule Line category in MD04

We have a business requirement to show Quotations of non-MRP relevant schedule line category in MD04. We are at an initial stage of design. Is it possible to use any of the user-exits (during MD04 opening) that we can use to display such elements ? We were unable to find any workaround with the Select Filter option.

    Hi,
You might need to use program: SDRQCR21 to delete those faulty SO which appear in MD04. You may go to tcode:SA38 to run the program.
You may refer to my printscreen below for better understanding if you wish to.
    Thanks.

  • Project MRP - Requirement Grouping in PR

    Dear Experts,
Please note that I am attaching two finished goods (Material Type - FERT) in the project through network activity, on two different activity. The delivery time for the two items are different. Requirement date is one month different for the two finished goods.
Requirement Grouping is done through automatic grouping.
Now when I am running MRP system generates seperate planned order for two finished goods for the same raw material as the requirement date is different. If I am keeping the requirement date is same even though it is planned on different network activity system is making only one planned order for the total number of raw material required.
    Just one doubt..
Is there any work around to club the requirements of raw material for two finished goods, whose requirement date is different, in one planned order / purchase requisition.
    Thanking you.
    Best Regards,
    Abdul.

  • Remaining capacity requirements scheduled for operation in Planned Order

    Hi all,
I'm workig with planned orders, and I need the "Remaining capacity requirements scheduled for operation" data to list it in a Z Report, but I don't know how to get it.
You can see the info in the "Detail Scheduling" of the planned order in MD13.
Anyone knows how to get the info? Any table or any FM to get it?
Points will be given for helping
    Thanks in advance!

Did you ever find out where the planned order capacity information lives?  I can find the production capacity information in table KBEZ, but it appears that there is no planned order info there.
    Thanks,

  • MRP - Problem in scheduling of MRP created schedule lines

    Hi,
I am working with single level BOM of FG and trying to generate Schedule lines for RM as per requirement coming from FG - BOM explosion during MRP run -
Material master setting of RM is  as below -
    MRP type - PD,
    Lot Size - Ex,
    Procurement type - F,
Planned dlv time - 14 days
i am getting dependent requirement as below -
    06.07.2009 - 2000 EA
    13.07.2009 - 1500 EA
    01.08.2008 - 1000 EA
And schedule lines are generated as below -
    06.07.2009 - 2000 EA
    13.07.2009 - 1500 EA
    01.08.2008 - 1000 EA
The date of schedule line should be after taking calculation of planned del time of the RM, which is not happening. I can't understand why?
The planned dlv time is same in all 1) Material Master 2) Scheduling agreement and 3) Pur info record
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Amol

    Dear Amol,
the date shown is the ultimate reciet date and not start date.
Since you have already converted PR into schedule lines you will not be able to see the actual start date.
If it was still a PR you can see the release date as planed delivery time days early.
If the requirements date was say 31/05/2009 and you were taking planning run today then the recieved date would come as 05/06/2009.that is 14 days from today.
if requirement well beyond planned delivery time then the planned delivery time will not reflect in recipt date.

  • MRP- Forward Scheduling

    Hi Team,
I have requirement that during MRP run (MD02), planned order to be created for my FERT item with "Forward schedjuling". I understand that MRP always performed with "Backward Scheduling" by default. But i have below clarifications.
Q1: If i set the scheduling type as 'Forward Scheduling" in OPU5 for my plant & order type (LA), still MRP run in MD02 performs "Backward scheduling"?
Q2: How the basic start date & basic end date for my planned orders are calculated during MRP using "Forward Scheduling" with the below assumptions.
    Assumptions:
    1. In OPU5, for my plant & order type "LA" "Forwad scheduling" is set
    2. I do not have routing for my FERT item & i have default operation set in OPJG for my order type & plant
    3. In house production time is maintained as 2 days in my FERT material master
    4. I have BOM for my FERT item which has only one ROH item.
    5. For the ROH item, in my material master, i have set the planned delivery time as 3 days.
    6. For the ROH item, the current stock in the plant is ZERO.
    7. GR Processing time for both the FERT & ROH item is ZERO.
    8. All the days are working day in my plant except saturday & Sunday
    9. In MD04, i do not have any entries for my FERT item except the below PIR quantity of 5
    10. In MD04, i do not have any entries for my ROH item
    11. I did not maintain any schedule margin key for my FERT & ROH item in my material master.
With the above assumptions, i have created the PIR for my FERT item on 01.08.2014 for the quantity 5.
Q3: With this condition, if run MRP for my FERT item, what will be the "basic start date" & "basic end date" for my FERT planned order & what will be the "basic start date" & "basic end date" for my ROH planned order?
Your valuable guidance will be very much needed. Currently i do not have test system to test this case. hence need your valuable comments
    Thanks

    Hi Caetano,
I have read the document provided by you. Still i can not clear on some points.
    The document says that:
For a planned order created by MRP, you observe the following symptoms:
MRP considers the requirement date as basic finish date and calculates the basis start date using backward scheduling
The planned order basic finish date is equal to the requirement date and it is not adjusted according to the production finish date.
As per the above statement after running MRP in MD02 with "Scheduling" type as "Lead Time Scheduling & Capacity Planning", the basic dates are determined with "BACKWARD SCHEDULING" (even though  in OPU5 i have mentioned the scheduling type as "FORWARD") as below screen shot & also the "Basic dates" are NOT adjusted even though in OPU5, i have mentioned as "Adjust basic dates & adjust dep.req date to operation date" which is right as per the system design which can not be changed.
Note: I have kept the in house production time as 5 days for my FERT item in material master.
My question is "How the Production dates" are derived during MRP run (refer in the above screen shot). In the routing, i have maintained the labour time as "42.5 hours" for 1 base quantity.
Note: I have maintained the in house production time as 5 days in material master & in routing the labour hours as 42.5 hours (equal to 5days considering 8.5 hours as working hours per day). So the data maintained in material master & in routing are synchronized (CA97)
    Thanks

  • Subcontracting - Direct delivery with MRP and Scheduling agreements

    Hi All,
can anyone suggest where I am going wrong.
I have a sub con assembly A that is made up from parts B and C.
    The source of supply is:
    A by VENDA
    B by VENDB
    C by VENDC
I do not want part B arriving on site as it is situated next door to the sub con plant. (however I might want to stock it for spare purposes later)
So I would like to send Part B directly to VENDA
I have set up a scheduling agreement for part B for VENDB and I have changed the delivery tab to VENDA and ticked the SC vendor option.
My problem is that when I run MRP I get a planned order for Part B and not a schedule line. If I remove the tick then I do indeed get a schedule line.
I have read a few posts that indicate that this can only be done via MRP areas (which we dont have).....is this really true??
    Kind regards
    Ben

    Hi Peter,
I have looked at the possibility of converting over to MRP areas and the migration was a technical iceberg   We have a lot of custom code which works along side MRP at plant level and I suspect this would require changing.
However you have triggered my curiosity again so I will have another play in my sandpit!
    Take care
    Ben

  • MRP-Delivery Schedule for Sales order is not updating in Production order

    Dear Experts,
I have created Sales order and maintained delivery scheduling, Then Run MRP through MD50,
We received Planned order then through this we have converted to Prodcution order.
When we observe the delivery schedule for sales order under assignment Tab in Produciton order which is showing zero instead showing line item of Delivery schedule.
I am able to see Sales order and Line item but i am not abel to get any delivery schedule line item.
Please suggest where settings are missing.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Don

    Dear Experts,
    Please provide me solution.
after Running MD50 transaction against Sales order.
If I maintained different Scheduling Line Item for First Line item of Sales order.
The Respective Scheduling Lines should update against Each Production order which has converted from Planned order.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Grouping of MRP requirements with source of supply

    Hi,
We are using SRM5.0 ECS, with direct procurement. So MRP generated req's will flow in to SRM for sourcing, and if there is source of supply, the PO is created automatically, all is working fine. But if there are ten req's per day coming from MRP for the same material, vendor and contract, still the system is creating 10 PO's.
Is there any way, we can group them for the same contract release and create one PO. I am aware of the sourcing config, but the grouping is only available for unsourced items.
I want to group all these ten req's in to one PO with the same contract reference.
Please share your comments on this.
    Thanks,
    CS

Hence it is in ECS all PO will be created in SRM itself.
what above delivery dates of different purchase request.
delivery address  , organisational data.you must consider all po split criteria too..
i believe if al the data are same from sourcing select all 10 external requirement it can create one PO.
i have seen one PO for eg (one is from PR pdp (external request) + one is from sc ) if all the data are similar.

  • MRP requirements

    Hi all,
I am facing a really hard problem and I don't know how to solve it. Starting from a purchase order, I need to get the list of production order requirements for STOCK MATERIALS  that generated the purchase request. So for example if I have a purchase order for 30 nails generated by MRP where 5 nails, are for produciton order po_1, 10 are for order po_2 and 15 are for po_3, how can I retrieve initial requirements for each order ?
    thank you
    Gabriel

you are asking something which is against all fundas of MRP (SCM)
but i can suggest u, which is trouble and funny for you.
do one thing, dont assing material X in material T bom.
and when you create a prod order for Material Y, maitain material X in that manually,
then as u said will work.  this is somewhat funny...but easy way if mangable to you.
now i explored something. this should work.
    now you create 2 BOM,
    1. BOM of Y with no X as component X, for usage 3 universal
    2. BOM of Y with X as component X, for usage 1 production.
    create 2 different selection ID 01 and 02.  (OS31)
02 is for usage 1 adn 01 for usage 3.
    Define application -  (OS30)
BEST is there as standard with usage 01
you make PP01 with usage 02
and then define alternate determiantion in prod (Bill of Material>Alternative Determination>Alternative Determination in Related Application Areas..>Define Alternative Determination for Production)
assing you PP01 application to your order type.
so i think, it should solve your issue.
since while MRP you have different BOM and while prod you have different BOM
so material X will be exploded when only prod order is there for Y and it will not consider the PIR of Y.
i hope this should solve the issue,

  • Different Document Type For MRP Requirement

    Hi  All,
Can any one help me for this issue...
MRP run creates PRu2019s for externally procured materials with document type NB, is it possible to have different PR document types for MRP generated Std PRu2019s and Sub contracting PRu2019s without nay enhancement.
    Thanks
    Praveen
Edited by: Praveen Kumar Shukla on Sep 9, 2009 1:19 PM

    Hi
You can set different MRP doc.type:  purchase requisitions for standard purchase order /  purchase requisition for subcontracting / purchase requisition for subcontracting  at MRP group level
Using transaction OPPR u2013 Select plant u2013 Select/create MRP group  under External procurement screen click on Scheduling/doc type.
And make sure that in material master u2013MRP1 view you are maintaining this MRP grp.
    with regards,

  • PIR -MRP Requirement

    Hi
I have a Req , i  Will get a Forcast req from 2 plant 1000 and 1100 to 5000,  with special procurement Key Production In plant 5000, but req will be directly enter in the 5000 req plant VSE req type, later the req plant will rice SO through STO , it will take out the material from 5000, plant ,
So my req is when ever i will enter req qty in PIR in the same date for DIff plant 1000 and 1100 in PIR with diff version, when i will run MRP , it is creating a single req for eg(1000 req 10 qty and 1100 req 20 on 20/02/2010, when i will run MRP it is creating single req , so my req is it should create diff req with like 10 and 20 ,
I used lot size lot for lot order qty,
    Please suggest,
    Reg
    Madhu

If I follow your example it sounds like you're getting one requirement for 30 and you want two requirements (one for 10 and another for 20).  If that's the case, try setting the individual/collective requirments indicator in MRP 4 view to 1 (individual requirements).

  • MRP without scheduling

We have a scenario where the delivery dates in MRP Purchase requisitions are changed manually and frequently for individual items before release of PO. When MRP runs for the material code again, it matches the required date and delivery date and creates new purchase requisition resulting in duplicate coverage. The required date cannot be changed every time to match the delivery date as there are too many demands. Can MRP be configured to match qty alone without looking at dates ? We are using project scenario.

Thanks a lot vivek ! I changed the horizon to 700. No new PR even if I extend the delivery date for 2 years. It seems to add a planned delivery time of 120 days to this horizon which I have maintained in the matl master. My problem seems to have been completely settled. But can you pl tell me, whether increasing the horizon to 700 will increase the overhead on the system ? Before moving this config change to production server, are there any critical list which I should check ? Will it affect any existing scenario as this parameter is at plant level? Once again thanks a Lot !

  • MRP Requirements due to sales order rejected

    Hi,
I am using the strategy Assembly to order in an environment Make to Order.
When the sales department fill out the field reason for rejection with any value the system deleted the production order even it has the status release or has notification.
Does any one knows how to avoid this behavior in the system?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Regards,
    Isaias

How did you handle the requirements. Because if you do not type a rejection reason the system generate another production order for the sales order after you run the MRP.

    Isaias
