MSI MPower Max Command Center Error ver. 1.0.0.59

Hi everyone! I apologise in advance for my poor English.
I was very pleased with my new PC (and also with the motherboard!) until command center made me upgrade to ver. 1.0.0.59. Every time I open it I get this error message and sometimes (1 on 4 sessions) it significantly lowers CPU's clock.
The part in Italian says: " It's impossible to find part of the directory ...... \LU5_LMU.xml"
How would you fix it? Should I reinstall the previous version and, in that case, where can I download it from?
Thanks for your help,
Gilberto

  • Z87 MPower Max Command Center Hang on Start

Yes, yet another thread on this issue.  My situation is slightly different than the other threads.
    System
    MSI MPower Max Z87 motherboard
    i7-4770k
    32GB G Skill 2400 RAM
    Intel 335 Series 180GB SSD
2X BFG 260 GTX graphics cards in SLI
    Windows 7 Professional x64
    BIOS V1.3
    Background
I assembled my system this past Saturday.  I installed the latest drivers from the MSI web site and ran the auto update application which updated a few drivers that appear to not be available for download directly from the site.  I also installed all the 250+ latest updates for Windows 7.
After installing and updating the drivers, OS and MSI applications Command Center worked.  I even used the OC Genie in Command Center just to give it a try.  I turned the OC Genie off, restarted then decided to play around with the RAM disk.  This is when things started to go wrong.
At first, the RAM disk worked great.  I got incredible performance using a 16 GB RAM disk when I loaded games on it.  I set a backup file for the RAM disk and for it to backup during shutdown and every 30 minutes.  The next time I restarted I noticed that the software that I set to auto-load to the RAM disk was not there.  Command Center failed to start so I could not change any of the settings.  I rebooted a couple times to try to get into Command Center and could not get back in.  The RAM disk was still being set at boot so half of my RAM was used by the RAM disk whether I wanted it or not.  I uninstalled Command Center to get rid of the RAM disk.  That worked as the RAM disk was gone when I rebooted.  I reinstalled Command Center but it still fails to start.
I am guessing that there must be some registry entries that are causing Command Center to hang.  It does not make any sense that a new installation of Command Center should hang when the previous version was working.
Are there any registry changes that I need to find to "fix" this problem?

No luck with the reinstall.  Looks like it might be .NET related.  I have a feeling that a recent .NET patch might have broken something.

  • [SOLVED] Configuring SPDIF for MSI Mpower MAX

    Hi people of the Arch,
I would like to play music over SPDIF, while I get no errors, I also get no sound.
I have read the Wiki here Advanced_Linux_Sound_Architecture
Also, I've been Googling and searching here on the forum, I've followed some steps but none seem to 'sound' right.
What I have not done is creating an asoundrc file with my setup, I believe that I can test if it works first, before I create such a file. Like to hear if this is right.
And I should note that I also use regular stereo out and USB headphones.

Usually an indicator a voltage isn't high enough. OC settings don't sound stable. Might open a thread in the OC and Undervolt forum section for help with that. I've stayed away from the DRAM Training (left it as is) and reached 2800 without any trouble. Not all IMC's are going to handle that speed though from what I've been reading. All my benchmarks so far are showing RAM speed above 1600 adds little performance value.

  • MSI Mpower Max 4770k Help tweek it

    Hi there,
this is my first seriouse MSI board in last 3years and i have encountered few problems with overclock
    My Pc Specs are:
    Intel 4770k
    Corsair H70 with 2xNoctua 14FLX p/p
    MSI Mpower Max
    Kinston Hyper X DDR3 1600mhz 9-9-9-27 2x4GB
    Corsair AX860
    Intel SSD 510 250GB
    Seagate Barracuda 3TB
    Samsung F4 2TB
    Corsair 650D
all day passed and i am a bit tired of seeing bios and bsods
i think i got the lazy chip help me understand it better and learn things on the way.
this is most stable i got.
    Bios E7815IMS.133
    CPU ratio: x44
    Ratio: Fixed
    Ring: x39
    Vcore 1.25v Offset 0.015V
    Svid comm. Enabled
from digitall i changed only CPU Vdrop to 100%
Ram set on xmp and manualy entered timings and voltage and speed 1600
With this i pass AIDA 64 stress test for 30min no problem
    cinebench pass
when i open Prime95 Blend test 15min pass and bsod..
Temps were 80-85c with room 25c
Everything else in bios is set to default (auto)
Any tips how to tweek it more?
i tried x45 with settings as above i boot into windows pass cinebench but crash on aida64.
i also tryed just x46 with voltage bump up to 1.28v with offset 0.015
I will be deliding as soon as my h220 arrives and CLU.
Also is there some special USB so i can take the screenshots?
i tried all the ports different flashes also formated to FAT32 and NTFS same its saying no usb dongle..
When i put my WD 2TB HDD it recognize it but when i want to save the Screenshot it gives this message
    "allocate file system resource fail"
I would post Screanshots but as i mentioned above its annoying problem..
    Thanks in advance guys.
    Edit:
just to see if i have lazy chip i tryed 1.3v with settings above and x47-48 wont even post.... :(
    found flash that is working

    ok i tryed this also
Internal VR efficiency management - disabled in screanshots its enabled
with this i am able to make 30mind aida with no crash temps a bit high but can be managed, i boot into windows with this vcore and x45 but unstable during aida 10min bsod
i boosted the voltage to 1.275 with offset 0.015v and got me 20min aida then bsod. any way i can tweek it more?

  • Z97 MPOWER and Command Center Lite

    Hi everyone

searched in the SUPPORT PAGE under the Utility and Drivers there is nothing to download under that name
tried to search for it on google...you'll find it mentioned in the pages but you can't get it
any help finding the software would be appreciated

    Hi,
The actual software is either on the support page or disc your motherboard came with. Otherwise i don't think so.

I've checked Live Update 6 and MSI's official Website for a solution or update and I haven't seen anything. Since they updated the UI, I constantly see this message and it's very buggy and sometimes unresponsive!
Does anyone have a solution or experienced this issue?

I came upon an odd resolution:
Disable Windows Media Player via Turn Windows features on, or off; then turn it back on.
Who knows what wizardry goes on inside this contraption.
That's odd. I wish it would work that way for me too, but thing is Windows Media player doesn't even show up on that list for me.

For the System/XML bug error, you have no need to update your Command center anymore as it seems to be liveupdate related issue,
so in short just try to open your command center and you should not see this error message anymore.
    To greenreaper and Zenttox
For other error message, are you guys using Windows 7 64 bit sp1 or windows 8.1??
Do you need to do anything to be able to see the error message???
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. Uninstalling/Manually deleting the file didn't help either. I have the latest Command Center installed, got it right from the MSI website. I don't need to do anything for the message to appear. All you do is open up Command Center, and you get that message. Every time.

I have a msi z87-g45 with a i7 4770k and in the command center program it shows the 4 cores along with the ratio of x39 and speed of 100mhz. But why is the default setting showing only core0 with a check mark. What does that mean?

As for the default setting the only ones that can answer about that is MSI.

Is the program working fine, the only issue concerning you is the default behavior?
Are you overclocking the system? What type of overclock are you doing?

I'm looking to run a few non PWM fans off the mobo to save using a fan controller and use software for adjusting fan curves. (power from 4-pin molex->psu)
I'm fairly certain if i connect them to the CPU_FAN they'll run at full pelt permanently. Will i have have voltage control on the sys_fan and be able to control them using the command centre?
Slightly o/t, in command centre if i save a profile for the cpu_fan's and try loading it on start up it always fails to load. Any idea why? Sys_fan i need to load every time i open command center which works but is starting to get annoying.

Oh well got a answer back from msi not what i wanted to here.lol
    Dear sir/madam
Thanks for contacting MSI technical support.

  • MSI MPower Max problem

    Hello
I recently purchased an Z87 MPower Max and it came present with BIOS v1.1. According to the CPU sheet on the website it wasn't recommended to use that with a 4770K so I flashed 1.0 back on since 1.1 only boots with stock settings. Now I have this annoying problem of getting a BSOD every time I boot the computer for the first time.
What happens is that it will make it past the start orbs and I see the mouse with a black background and then it BSODs. The computer restarts again and then boots properly.
    These are my settings:
    CPU Ratio Mode - Dynamic
    Adjust CPU Ratio - 42
    EIST and Turbo boost -enabled
Adjusted Ring ratio - auto (39x)
    Adjusted Ring Frequency - 3900Mhz
    DRAM Reference Clock - Auto
    DRAM Frequency - Auto
    XMP - profile 2 (2400Mhz)
    DRAM Timing Mode - Auto
    Memory Fast boot - auto
    VCCIN Voltags - 1.900V
CPU Core Voltage Mode - Adaptive
    CPU Core Voltage - 1.165
CPU Core Offset mode is -
CPU Core Voltage Offset - 0.005
Is it something to do with this DRAM training? I was told to disable it but I'm not sure how to. Can someone help me?
I have verified 4.2Ghz stable with 2400Mhz RAM with AIDA64 and Prime95 when using fixed 1.15V and used AIDA64 CPU only for adaptive checking.
    I have this RAM: F3-2400C10D-8GTX - its Gskill 2400Mhz DDR3 Trident X ram

On each 1st boot-up (after I powered down) the harddisk (UDMA 100, 80GB Western Digital) is not detected. This results in a boot failure.
After this 1st failure I reset and from then on booting is OK, harrdisk is succesfully detected (although it always takes about 10-15 seconds before detecting).
Anyone else experiencing the same problems?
    This is my config:
    - MSI 845PE Max Lan
    - 2,4GHz P4
    - Western Digital 80GB 7200rpm (set as master, only device on its cable)
    - ATI Radeon 9700
    - 512 MB DDR (pc2700)
    Hope anyone can help out.

Note: FSB533 CPU is required in order to choose DDR333 selection in the BIOS setup

  • MSI MPOWER MAX Z87 - RAID failure after BIOS update (settings reset)

I use the integrated intel RAID controller to create a 2 disk RAID-0 6TB (2x3TB), but everytime I update the BIOS, there is a RAID failure.
It does not matter if I use Live Update or the Update BIOS+ME option of the BIOS menu. All settings are lost, and after the boot the RAID controller is deactivated due to that. I go to BIOS right after the auto-reboot and re-enter my settings (RAID instead of AHCI), but the intel controller only sees 1 disk as a RAID member. Recovery option is not active when I enter the controller options (control+I). I always need to delete and recreate the RAID, which of course loses all data.
    Very frustrating!
Am I doing the update wrong? I know I did it once and settings were not reset, my RAID was kept intact, but I believe it was only 1 time of 4 or 5 updates I did to my MPOWER MAX.

Hi, thanks for trying to help!
    - I use Windows 8.1.
    - My vga does not support UEFI so I use... legacy mode? (I'm not that familiar with BIOS->UEFI yet, sorry.)
    - According to Intel RST, the RAID HDDs are on ports 2 and 3.
    - This time the update was from 1.80 to 1.90.
1.70 to 1.80 also resulted in the same problem, but I used LiveUpdate.
For previous updates, I don't remember but I sometimes I used LiveUpdate, sometimes the BIOS feature.
I'm pretty sure that only once the RAID was kept intact, and I don't remember the versions or method I used, but I believe I used the BIOS method (don't know if needed BIOS+ME or not), not LiveUpdate.

What is the S/N of the 760?
We will need to update the Vbios for GOP support most likely.
