MSS - PCR-Pdf error at workflow approve

Hello,
When I try to show a form pdf based in UWL for approve process, an error occurs :

I am using SPPM mss/pcr scenario.

Hi Renato,
When you are using PCRs/ISRs the form data is read from the XML data attached to the R/3 Notification object.
ISRFormApprove in particular expects that this XML dat already exists and is correctly attached to the R/3 Notification object.
So:
1) Check your UWL is connecting ok to your SAP system - which I presume it is otherwise you wouldn't be getting the work item.
2) Check the system alias from the system landscape used for your UWL system connection - make sure that its the right one and has the webdynpro host/port/path details defined. Use the Connection Test options in the Portal Content Directory to check it.
3) Check you have passed in a valid R/3 notification number - i.e. you should be able to display the notification in transaction IQS3 in the backend SAP system.
4) Check the XML data is correctly linked to the form. The easiest way is probably to use transaction SE37 test option against function module ISR_SPECIAL_DATA_GET.
It should return a list of all your PCR characterstics and their values.
If all that's working and its still not happening for you, check you have the latest fixes as per SAP notes, and then raise an SAP message.

MSS PCR --- PDF forms probmlem

   We are in the process implmenting ESS and MSS on EP NW04 SP11. We have installed Xss 7.0, ESS/MSS business package   and ADS on Portal J2EE engine.
   After PCR configuration we got following error message while accessing forms.

I checked the message with our Q team. This is probably not only related to Adobe document services, but involves the Portal or one of the other components of MSS PCR. Please create a customer message on the MSS PCR component to speed up resolution.

Error with workflow approval BADI- BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI

Hi All,
We are running SRM 5.5 Classic Scenario.
We have activated "BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI" for n-step approval process of shopping carts. From a certain period of time I am facing the following problem: when a user, with defined output limit in the extended attributes, creates shopping cart below this limit, the shopping cart instead to be ordered immediately stays in status u201CIn your inboxu201D and there is a message in the field "notes for approval" that the user WF-BATCH is not assigned in the organizational structure, and the item status is u201Cawaiting approvalu201D. Although, if you go to approval preview, the message is that no approval is required, the shopping cat is sent for approving to the manager.
It is very strange, because workflow user has never been assigned to the organizational structure and the other strange thing is that this problem exists in all SRM systems (development, quality and training).
We tried to debug the BADI, and we couldn't find any problem. The BADI first checks the spent limit of the user (which is the set output limit in the extended attributes of that user) and because the validation is ok (the value of the shopping cart is below the spent limit) the process stops. But at the same time the shopping cart is sent for approving to the first manager.
Has anybody of you faced this problem?

Hi Masa,
Yes, this is my issue, that the shopping cart is sent to the manager for approving! And at the same time when the user is checking the status of the shopping cart -the status is"In your inbox" and the status of the item is "awaiting approval". When you go to item details-> to additional specification tab(field), a system message is generated in the field "notes for approval" and the message is "Cannot find org unit for user WF-BATCH". In my opinion that means that the system is searching for WF-batch as approver. Let me briefly tell you how the BADi works, first validates the spent limit of the user if the value of the shopping cart is below then the shopping cart should be sent directly to r/3 system and a PO should be created. If the value is above, the system start checking to which organizational unit the users belongs, and after that determines the first approver!

ISR template error in MSS PCR

i am implementing MSS PCR on EP 60... MSS 100
when i user any of the scenarios in PCR, it gives me an error "Error in try-catch block - Template could not be retrieved"

MSS PCR Notification/Workflow

Hi,
We have been trying to use the MSS PCR for Separation. We are able to successfully submit the PCR however, there are no workflows triggered.
Appreciate if you can advise on how to setup to trigger workflow. Alternatively, appreciate advise on how to know where the notifications are sent.

PCR Workflow can be activated using the Tcode PCRWF. You can know the status of the workflow by checking the workflow overview for the Notification using Tcode IQS22.

Sorry, Rohit...yes, I understood you are on PCRs and not HCM P&F, but I wanted to mention that functionatlity is in fact there for HCM P&F since it was a big missing part for PCRs. And if you are actually on ECC6, you might want to look into it versus PCRs since PCRs are going the way of the dinosaur.

Is their some reporting off of workflow that could be done as well? I would think that could show who processes a request as well as where they are "held up". Reporting is a big missing part of PCRS, agreed.

MSS PCR ( Change In position)

Hi all
i am using a one-step approval workflow process in MSS PCR (Request for Position Change).1st time when i am trying to initiate the position change for a particular employee its taking fine.but after the completion of approval process for that employee,whenever i am trying to initiate again the position change process for that employee then its giving me a message as "An organizational reassignment is already planned for this employee" & i am not able to process again for that employee.
but already for the 1st process the approver have run the action through iqs22 tcode.but still its not allowing me to process again for that same employee 2nd time.

As per your issue you are not able to overwrite the feature SCHKZ in IT0007. But i think that default feature of SCHKZ allow you to overwrite and change the workschedule in IT0007.
Can you check for the user exit because of which you are not able to change it.

Adobe form MSS PCR senarios not working with Portal SSL

we have implemented MSS PCR senarios Nw04 with ERP2004 system.
every thing is working fine when use http protocal for portal acess.
Now we try to implement ssl for portal. so started implemnation and done in portal side, after that when try access any senario forms , The adobe form is not opening for editing, its throwing error

Hello Gopal,
You would only need an https connecion between the browser and the portal server if you are only concerned with the MSS applications. You need to have SSL configured from the portal to ADS server had you implemented some custom scenarios like certification, digital signature etc. But, considering your MSS issue, you do not need to worry about it untill and otherwise your landscape demands you to do so for any security reason.

How to call workflow approve service in loop for multiple documents.

i have created a serviceHandler for approving the document and i post the comma separated dIDs as a string from workflow approval template(custom template). And in serviceHandler program i pass the did for approving and only first document is approved and for other document its throwing error, Its showing error document revision is not a latest revision but document is having only one revision.

I guess it is caused by the fact that some of variables in the binder refer to the first workflow item. My bet would be dDocName.
Try to find out what's in the binder if you approve the second item from GUI and what's there when you do it from your program. That should give you enough info what you need to change.

Submitting a Signed PDF form in Workflow

Hello,
Is there anyone experienced submitting signed PDF form in workflow?
We have tried to use a PDF form designed using AFD 5.0 along with AWS 6.2 to automate the approval process. But when the initiator signs the document, using the signature object, and then submit it, the next participant will get the form with empty signature filed.
Additionally, when you sign the form, you get the green check mark, then when you submit the form, it seems that the submit will change the data in the form and the green check mark will convert into gray question mark.
You help is highly appreciated.
PS: anyone there used Biometric Signature tools (such as CyberSIGN, CIC, or SoftPro) to digitally authenticate signers/signatures in PDF forms/document and used it in a workflow or web applications?

If you have access to Acrobat, it would be possible to set up the form so that an automatically generated unique identifier is include in a (hidden) field so you could identify multiple submissions from a particular instance of a form. You could remove all but the most recent record from the response table to keep the summary reports current. If you'd like more info, post again.

In MSS PCR Send button not working

Hi,
We are trying to implement ESS/MSS 1.0 SP 8 on EP 7.0 SP 11 and ECC 6.0. We are using the application on https. SSL has been configured and is working fine. We are using PCR under MSS, which also runs on https. SSL for ADS has been configured and we are able to see the PCR pdf forms. Now when we try to edit the form, and click Send button (Review Form and Save phase) its going on to the Completed page, rather remains in an un ending state. The Completed page is not showing up. We tried to use the application on http and everything is working fine.
Please help.

Solution:
When you configure HTTPS make sure you dont get a popup window of the certificate and even if you get all the three items (like trusted name, expiry etc) should be green and no warning.

Some Users cannot Open Workflow Approval Task

We have a SPD workflow published to our production site and it includes a 'Start Approval Process' task which involves a number of users (determined by a lookup to another list) this worked brilliantly until we republished the workflow with some minor changes,
none of which were to this particular approval task. Now we are seeing some strange behaviours. When some users click the task to approve they are seeing 'This from cannot be opened in a browser, To open this form use Microsoft Infopath'. Now strangely it's
only certain users, if you're a site collection admin you never have this error. So if a user previously had the error and i then add them to the site collection administrators list the error goes away and they can complete the task.
Obviously not a solution! giving users full control permissions on the task list or task item doesnt fix the error either. The same workflow on our UAT works without any issues. The task forms in SPD have not been customised either. Its a SP2010 Standard
farm with no infopath services obviously. Bizarrely there are some users with only Contribute rights to the task list who can open approve tasks, so it's looking like a permissions issue to me but I'm at a loss to find a fix. I've tried totally removing
the worklows and republishing, regenerating the .xsn task forms in SPD by deleting them and republishing, removing and re-adding the task related content types to site, Changing the Approval Task settings 'only allow users to edit their tasks...' to false
and then back to true, the works, but to no avail.
Anybody any ideas?

According to your post, my understanding is that Some Users cannot Open Workflow Approval Task.
I recommend that you can create a new list and workflow to check whether it works.
Then use the user who get the error to open task.
If he can open the task in the brower, the issue is related to the older list.
Then you can use the new created list and assgin the task.
