Multi message to Proxy ABAP without BPM possible?

Hi Experts,
I am designing a scenario where my source is a flat file and the target SAP.
According to the content of the file, we would like to group the data per company and then send the grouped data.
The question is, is it possible to send data in a proxy per company? which means that we would have as many proxies as there are companies? without using BPM
Thanks a lots,
regards

Hi Now i have the same requirement. As you said group the data by company code in the internal table and handle it, does not feasible to my requirement.
I am doing material movements using proxies. Here for every loop i will call BAPI to do the material movements. Suppose there are 10 rows which are coming from XI and needs to do 10 material movements.
First 5 loops successfully processed, but some functional error comes while executing the 6th loop. My proxy will throw the exception comes out of the process.
By seeing the error record data in the exception, i have rectified the error. Now if i restart the proxy, the proxy will again try to execute from 1st row. But, first 5 th rows are already successfully processed.
This shouldn't be the case in real time. How can i overcome this?
If i get the proxy data row by row, then it would be more beneficial to me to handle.
How can we the message split possible using enhanced interface determination in the Proxies.
Could you post the solution, if anyone has?
Thanking you,
Regards,
Krishnaraju.

  • How to send big message one bye one without bpm in PI 7.0

    Hi frnds,
    I have to send a big messages one by one to the CRM, without using BPM.
    Can you please suggest us some way around, the data is going to CRM via proxy and at the sender side we are using file content conversion which we don't want to change.
    Please let me know some better idea and if possible some related example as well.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi,
    You have two options
    1)Split the message and then send
    2)Use Record set per message option in File Sender adapter,there give value 20 or any number..then it takes 20 records at a time will send to receiver.
    BPM is not option,even if you use BPM ,its not going to solve your problem..

  • Multi-Message-split with ABAP mapping and adapter specific attributes

    Hi all,
    With <b>ABAP-Mapping I split 1 message to n messages</b>.
    So many files are generated in <b>file-Adapter</b>.
    Everything fine.
    But now I want the file names different using adapter specific attributes.
    It is not possible to use variable substitution and write the file name in payload because of receiver restrictions.
    I tried this with following similar coding in ABAP-Mapping:
    data: lt_records TYPE MPP_DYNAMIC_TAB.
          Loop.
          l_file_name = "payload-Inbound"-information
          ls_record-namespace = 'http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File'.
          ls_record-name = 'FileName'.
          ls_record-value = l_file_name.  "l_file_name comes from inbound-payload
          append ls_record to lt_records.
         Endloop.
      CALL METHOD dynamic_configuration->set_all_records
        EXPORTING
          records = lt_records.
    If I start the interface I see in the monitoring the dynamic configuration with many entries for file-name in the the SOAP-Header mapping of the request message (following extract):
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Mapping der Request-Message
      -->
    - <SAP:DynamicConfiguration xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPAADDRESS.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPABROKERROLE.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPACOMPANYSEGMENT.XML</SAP:Record>
      <SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">BPACUSTOMERROLE.XML</SAP:Record>
    The result is that <b>all files have the same file name</b> (last entry in dynamic configuration).
    Is it possible to write the adapter specific configuration in ABAP-mapping <u>for every single result message</u>??
    Thank you for your help,
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
    I've a different idea...I dont think its a "right solution" but just another work around..it involves a BPM...
    In your ABAP mapping..set the dynamic config with as many variables as number of different messages...i.e. use the variables like 'FileName1', 'FileName2'...'FileName6' instead of 'FileName'. But use the same namespace 'http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File'
    Call the above mapping in a BPM and capture the individual messages and set the attribute 'FileName' from the values of 'FileName1' to 'FileName6' accordingly using Message Mapping and then send the message using the 'Send' step.
    before you try this, try using the variable names 'FileName1' ...'FileName6' in the receiver adapters...enable the ASMS. <b>I know we need to select which variables from the dynamic config to be used by the adapter by specifically selecting 'FileName', 'Directory' etc...but just give it a try and see if it works..</b>
    Or..instead of using a BPM..you can combine Henrique's idea...use Adapter module to set the value for 'FileName' from variables 'FileName1'...'FileName6' accordingly.
    hope I'm clear..lemme know if you have any questions..
    cheers

  • Solution without BPM possible..?

    Hi,

            Is the above scenario possible without using BPM..need help in resolving it..
           Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
             The scenario in PI is that Iam using a multimapping for sales order creation and purchase order creation.
            Once the scenario is executed is it possible to create sales order and then purchase order in ECC.
            The sequence should be first Sales Order and then Purchase Order ..Is it possible without using BPM.,?

  • Message splitting 1:n without BPM error : 404   Not Found

    hi,
    is u r server is updated with sps14
    please once check this.. may be this is the problem
    Thanks,
    Madhav.
    Note:points if useful

    hi,
    please go through the limitation of this bolg
    A mapping-based message split will ultimately produce n individual messages, but not until it reaches the Adapter Engine (AE). Inside the Integration Engine (IE), the messages are grouped together and persisted as one bulk message. The bulk message is sent to the AE where it splits the bulk message into individual messages and persists them.
    Restrictions
    u2022  Messages that result from the split in a mapping-based message split are sent using one AE. So only adapters running on the AE are supported. In particular, this means that target IDOC/HTTPmassagee splits are not supported since the IDOC/HTTP adapter is not part of the AE.
    u2022  The target system of the message splits cannot be an integration process.
    u2022  Attachments from the original message are not appended to the messages resulting from the message split.
    now i think u wont be able to send the the 2 diffrent file in diffrent location.both the file cab be sent to be togethre.because when u configure the receiver determination in ID u need to include both receiver service as a receiver.and thus u need to configuer 4 interface determinatio as well as 4 receiver aggrement. this is because you r using the only one IM which containg both the interface.

  • Duplicate Message ID issue in case of Multi mapping (without BPM)

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing one sample Example for my requirement of converting the single source message data into the multiple Target messages.
    for example, when sender system is sending the 5 sale order details into a single message in PI then my Inbound proxy class of ECC R/3 receiver system must get this sale orders separately, that means inbound proxy class method must be triggered separately for 5 sale orders from sender system. for achieving this, I have used the Multi mapping concept in ESR (without BPM).
    This scenario is in Asynchronous mode.
    The below screen shots give the details on what I have configures so far.
    IN ESR
    IN ID
    IN SXMB_MONI of PI
    IN SXMB_MONI of ECC R/3 Receiver system (Error in Processing)
    due to this error, inbound Proxy class method is not being triggered for the single Sale order details as well,
    please let me know how to tackle this duplicate message ID issue when we have multiple payloads to process in a single message.
    please also let me know if is there any other workaround to fulfil this requirement.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Jagesh

    Hi Nunu,
    Check the below blog for restrictions.
    Multi-Mapping without BPM - Yes, it’s possible!
    Restrictions
    Messages that result from the split in a mapping-based message split are sent using one AE. So only adapters running on the AE are supported. In particular, this means that target IDOC message splits are not supported since the IDOC adapter is not part of the AE.

  • Multi-Message Mapping based on value of field - (Without BPM)

    Hi.
    I am having a bit of difficulty with multi-message mapping without BPM. I want to map to message1 & message2 based on a field in the rows of the source structure.
    e.g.
    row1-Source-Field1=> (if equal 0)   => <b>Message1</b>-field1.
    row2-Source-Field1=> (if equal 10) => <b>Message2</b>-field1.
    To attempt to do this, I use the conditions in the graphical mapper:
    if row-Source-Field1 = 0   => Map "Row to MessageType1".
    if row-Source-Field1 = 10 => Map "Row to MessageType2".
    However when I test this the mapping only seems to consider the first row value in row-Source-Field1 and ignores the fact that row two has a value of 10. I think this has something to do with contexts etc..
    I would appreciate any help please.
    Regards.
    Mick.

    in that case try this out
    row1-source-field1 (remove context) -- UDF -splitbyvalue-target
    UDF1(for message 1)
    for(int i=0;i<field1.length;i++)
    if(field1<i>.equals("0"))
    result.addValue(<field to be mapped><i>);
    UDF2(for message 2)
    for(int i=0;i<field1.length;i++)
    if(field1<i>.equals("10"))
    result.addValue(<field to be mapped><i>);

  • File to Proxy ABAP - Split message possible?

    Hi experts,
    I am facing a slight problem with my scenario, I designed flat file to proxy Abap, it works fine, the problem is that my flat file tend to be a bit too large in term of volume (about 15Mo) and I would like to divide the file in multiple messages.
    I managed to do that by putting in the recordset structure : NAME, 500.
    It divides the file content in several messages in XI, the problem is that each Proxy call processes a program that deletes and replaces a table. Hence, it only takes in account the last message.
    Is there a way to deal with that? maybe to precise that all the messages sent are part of the same source.
    Kind regards,
    Jamal

    From your description, this program of yours is executed within a transactional context. Each execution of the program will be independent of each other.
    If you need your messages to be executed within the same transaction, then you need to reunite the separate messages into a unique transaction again, meaning, you need to merge the messages back into one, or correlate them somehow.
    Anyway, 15 MB is hard but not unfeasible. With proper sizing/tunning, you should be able to run it in a single execution.
    But if split at XI is indeed necessary and you don't want to merge again in XI (wouldn't make much sense, would it?), you need to develop something on the receiver side (Z ABAP) to hold the entries and only when the file is finished, call the initial program.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • Multi Message Mapping without BPM: Limitaions

    Hi Crew,
    I have done this one(without BPM)

    I understood that there cannot be multiple receiver services.
    This message splitting can be done only with one sender and one receiver business services (with many communication channels) without BPM.
    Am I right?
    Are there anymore limitations than this?
    Regards,
    Karthik kaveriselvan.

    <i>select multiple receivers using the + button.</i>
    one sender service.
    two receiver service referring to one target interface each with one communicaiton channel each.
    Two interface determination for two business services and they both are refering to the same enhanced interface mapping.
    Created receiver determination and added the two receiver service to it, but when looking at the configuration overview for receiver determinaiton, for each service, both the target interfaces used in interface mapping are listed and the reciever determination shows "Does not exist".
    When I run the scenario, I get "No receiver agreement found" error.
    Please calrify how many receiver agreements have to be configured and how?

  • Error in Multi-mapping without BPM

    Hi frnds,
    I am doing a scenario File-XI-File. I am using the multi-splitting thing in the Message mapping. I have taken care of all the occurance's and "enhanced" thing in the IR and ID resp. I m using SP16. I want to avoid BPM.
    But therez sme error cming up. When I check the MONI, its shwing "No messages created from split mapping" and when I test my interface using the Test Configuration in the ID, its shwing error in the Receiver Determination -- "HTTP connection to ABAP Runtime failed. Error: 403 Forbidden"
    I have checked most of the blogs and forum suggestions. I have checked the ICF activations as well ...
    So, do come back to me with your valuable suggestions, and I will award them points, if they really help me out.
    Thanks and regards.
    Neetesh

    Hi Neetesh,
    <i>
    When I check the MONI, its shwing "No messages created from split mapping"</i>
    For this, Can you check the source XML. Does it contain Tags like <messages> .. If yes, you need to remove them from your source XML.
    If i am right, you have copied the XML from the TEST tab of the message mapping and pasted it in a notepad and saved it without making any changes at all..... Just do as i have mentioned above and i am sure you will no more get that error message in your MONI....

  • Sync/Async JMS without BPM - No receiver specified in message object

    Hi All,
    My scenario is Proxy - JMS - Proxy.  I have chosen to do this without BPM and had followed closely to the instructions given in various help documents/blog/forum threads.  During testing, the proxy returns a system fault 'No receiver specified in message object'.  In RWB it indicates that the correlation is correct and the JMS Receiver adapter is getting the response, below is part of the audit log:

    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information The message status was set to DLVD.
    When I check SXMB_MONI in XI-ABAP, I see 2 messages with status 'System Error - Restart not possible' and 1 with status 'Log Version'.  The message with status 'Log Version' is the respond.  The other 2 messages has the following error:

    It seem to me that the system does not know where to go/what to do next after returning to the JMS Receiver adapter.  I am at a lost what could have gone wrong.  Here is how I've done my configuration.

    - Sync Receiver Interface for MQ

    - 1 CC for Proxy Sender
    - 1 Interface Determination
    - 1 Receiver Determination
    - 1 Receiver Agreement for JMS Receiver
    - 1 Sender Agreement for the reply
    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi Prateek,
    This is what was tried in my first case. I did exactly what was given in that link.But since the Message id being 32 bytes and length of correlation id is 24 bytes id is getting truncated.
    So its not working fine.

  • Async Sync Bridge without BPM (Proxy-Soap-Idoc)

    Hi,
    I have read some blogs how to do the Async Sync Bridge without BPM for JMS adapters. I have a requirement that I am getting a Async Proxy message to PI and then PI makes Sync Soap call then the result need to send through the Idoc adapter.
    Proxy - Soap- Idoc
    Here Proxy is a sender so no adapter required in the Config and also Soap is java based adapter and Idoc adapter is a ABAP based so I am not sure this is possible but I just wanted to check with you.
    Please let know if this is possible or not?

    The mapping programm can be defined as a user defined function. As sample of mine is "getGoogle()", which is doing some kind of address validation. The input parameter URL[0] contains source address. For that you need to import:
    org.apache.commons.logging.*;
    org.w3c.dom.*;
    javax.xml.parsers.*;
    org.xml.sax.SAXException;
    org.apache.commons.httpclient.*;
    org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.*;
    org.apache.commons.codec.*;
    org.apache.log4j.*;
    Example code for UDF "getGoogle()" is:
    String sUrl = "http://maps.google.de/maps/api/geocode/xml?address=" + URL[0] + "&sensor=false";
    HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
    GetMethod method = new GetMethod(sUrl);
    byte[] responseBody = null;
        try {
    //      int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
    //      byte[] responseBody = method.getResponseBody();
    //     result.addValue(new String(responseBody));
    String sResponse = "initial";
    int statusCode = client.executeMethod(method);
    responseBody = method.getResponseBody();
    ByteArrayInputStream bis = new ByteArrayInputStream(responseBody);
    DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    DocumentBuilder db = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    Document doc = db.parse(bis);
    doc.getDocumentElement().normalize();
    NodeList nodeLst = doc.getElementsByTagName("formatted_address");
    Node formAdr = nodeLst.item(0);
    NodeList nlFormAdr = formAdr.getChildNodes();
    sResponse = ((Node) nlFormAdr.item(0)).getNodeValue();
          // Deal with the response.
        result.addValue(sResponse);
        } catch (Exception e) {
          result.addValue(e.toString() + "######## exhrenda - googleResponse:############### URL=" + sUrl+"###########"+new String(responseBody));
        } finally {
          // Release the connection.
          method.releaseConnection();

  • Collect Asynchronous XI messages without BPM

    Hi,
    we are sending asynchronous Xi messages from ERP to PI and then sending a file through FTP for each message.
    We would like to group (collect) the messages in XI or ERP and send them all as 1 file at a specific time.
    Is this possible without BPM (I've seen the classic BPM way to do this but try to avoid BPM) What are the options ? Can this just be done by configuration ?
    We are using PI 7.1
    Thank you.

    Hi guys,
    I`m facing a similar issue in a project, where several e.g. 7 large messages, normal msg size 10-15mb, but one normally is about 100mb,  are transfered to PI via ABAP proxy and have to be merged in one single file using the file adapter.
    QoS at the moment is EO.
    Because of the performance issues I want to avoid ccBPM.
    I think the append mode could be a way to solve this issue. But how could you determine that all messages have been processed and added to the file, so that the receiver could fetch the complete file and process it?
    Is it useful to build up an unique filename like "XYZ_DATE.txt" so that all messages of one day are collected in the same file, but there is still the issue to recognize when the last message is added to the file and the file is completed.
    QoS EOIO is needed to achieve that?
    Any suggestions welcomed, thanks in advance.

    Jochen

  • Message Split -- File to Idoc Scenario  -  ( Without BPM )

    I have multiple records coming to XI in a File and I have to create Multiple Idocs to R/3.
    Due to Complexity of mapping I'm splitting Maaping step into 2 message Mappings.
    A-->B
    B-->C
    In the 2nd Mapping step  I'm doing message Split meaning for each Source record I'm creating multiple Idocs ( To be precise each record on the source becomes 4 idocs in the Target.
    2nd Mapping step is as follows
    Source 1..1
      Sourcerecord 0.. Unbounded
        field1  0..1
        field2  0..1
        filed3  0..1
    Target
    Message 1
        Idoc   1.. Unbounded
          Idoc Structure..
    Message 2
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 3
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 4
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    So based on some criteria each record of Source will be mapped to 4 Messages (  1 each under each Message )
    Is it possible to do this without BPM?. Iam sending all these Idocs to same R/3 System.
    Thanks for any help..RK

    Hi,
    See the blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
    <i>Basicly we have 2 ways of handling such scenarios:
    - we can use a block step and send multiple IDOCs from our BPM
    - we can also do a little trick and send multiple IDOCs from the XI without a BPM
    The first approach is a standard XI approach. It involves the use of a BPM
    so the speed of this transfer many not be very good in case you'd like to send
    hundreds or thousands of IDOCs in just one call.
    The second approach uses a little trick that was mentioned several times
    on the XI Froum by a number of XI developers but is still not very clear to the XI newbies.
    It allows us to send multiple IDOCs without the use of a BPM. Most probably this will be your choice
    if you'd like to use such 1:N (IDOCs) scenarios effectively.</i>
