My daughter's Ipod 7th generation -- which she just got for Christmas -- has no sound when playing back her music and also has no radio reception. Tried different headphones and resetting the Ipod -- no difference. I was working fine Christmas and the day after. HELP!

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. I can hear any sound when i play movies, music and for any alerts. what can be the cause?
I've finished watching a movie on my computer last friday and shut down it. All has been so well. Yesterday nigh, I started it but I didn't hear the starting alert submitted by window 7. I tried hear a music but I was also unable to hear any sound both in media player, itunes and VLC that I use like media reader.
I maked a test, all speackers are running and are not muted.
How can I solve this problem please. Any help

Defective ipod just got it for Christmas
The screen on my ipod has suddenly become discolored and it has weird technicolor lines across it. No matter how many times I turn it off and on it won't go back to looking normal. Is there anyway to fix this?
Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.
Try all three of these.

Hold the home button and the Sleep/Wake button ignoring the slide to power off message until the phone turns off then you can repower it by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button for a few seconds until the apple logo appears.

I just got an iphone 4 yesterday. I got everything all set up and working great. When I woke up last this morning, my ipod has no sound and the albums covers are all mixed up. I've checked all my settings and volume control. My text sound won't work either. However, my ringtone works just fine.

Check carefully. Perhaps you are trying to copy 9 GB plus 1.3 GB for a total of 10.3 GB. That would give you the message you see.

My Nano has no sound when I connect it to my car stereo USB. The display works though
Why don't you try changing the input on the car stereo? I have a '13 Honda Odyssey and whenever I plug in my 7th gen nano I have to press a button labeled "USB/Aux" to switch to the Nano. I would also make sure to check that it is nano compatible, that the volume is up and that the stereo is on. Not to make you sound dumb, but you honestly might feel that way if you had the stereo off, I know I would (and have!)

My macbook has no sound when i go to system preferences there is a tick on mute and i cant take it off and it also says there is no input device do you know what to do.

Type or copy paste the following;

Click Go the move both .plist files from the Audio folder to the Trash.

my N80 handset has no sound when answering calls... but when i turn to my loudspeakers and plug in my earpiece, it function normally when i answer the calls...i cant hear any thing from handset when i keep near my ear, but when i on speaker i can hear the other party voice...
a few days ago, it was fine... i didnt drop the phone or what...
my warranty has expired... i wish that someone can help me to solve it by DIY.. haha..
thanks...Sounds like it can only be one of two things.
1. The speaker is broken.
2. The ribbon cable connecting the two halfs of the slide is starting to go. The ribbon does give problems after a while. Sometimes when the cable starts to go, it still works when the slide is closed but not when extended. try it and see.
Both the speaker and the ribbon cable can be replaced at your local Nokia care centre. -
Iphone 3GS Screen goes blank with full battery and ipod has no sound
Since 10th Feb my Iphone 3GS has had no sound on the ipod, although I can see the track is playing, and more importantly the battery just goes every few mintues regardless of the amount of battery left.
I'm assuming this has been caused by the 6.1 update. However, the 6.1.1 fix seems aimed at iphone 4S and it does not show up on my itunes.
Prior to 10th Feb phone worked perfectly.
Any advice?First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
What about free space? Do you have enough free space on your iPad? With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free. For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
