My Experience With Nokia Customer Care

Hi Everybody,
I was looking to update my Nokia 6275 phone software, I needed to know "how can i?" after i exhausted every available option such as posts in forum, visited NOkia Web Site, etc finally i contacted Nokia CC two times. Firstly I was told to download updated latest version of PC Suit through which i can update my phone software(firmware). I tried that but it didn't work. Today for the second time i contacted again and upon asking them clearly that if there was any update for my Nokia?? i was put on hold for almost 4 to 5 mins and to my surprise NOkia CC executive told me honestly that they (Nokia CC guys) themselves doesn't know what is current version and they do not know if there was any new update released. How Ridiculous??? I questioned him why is it so? Answer is "Nokia stopped manufacturing this model" with this pathetic situation You will get to hear with iVRS upon connecting -- to take short survey about customer's satisfaction moreover Nokia CC guys will also remind you to take Customer's satifaction survey at the end of the call.
Thanks for taking the time to read

what is your your phone model???

  • Terrible experience with Verizon customer care. Need update on security deposit.

    Hi,
I disconnected my FIOS internet service about two months back. When I took the connection last year, I was asked to pay a security deposit of $400 and I paid this. After disconnecting FIOS, I am trying to get the status of the refund of my security deposit.
I have called close to ten times to the customer care and all the times, I have been given either false information or I was told they would call me back and that would not happen.
At this point, I am extremely disappointed and surprised about how an organization like Verizon could be so unprofessional.
I need to know the status of my security deposit. Has anyone else faced this kind of a problem? How was this resolved?
    Regards,
    Sathish

  • Horrible customer support experience with Nokia

I have just had an extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory experience with Nokia's support / repair operation. Unless I can resolve this, I will put my 820 on Ebay and forget all about Nokia and Windows Phone 8.
I initially called Nokia because my 820 would very occasionally freeze when I tried to unlock it to answer an incoming call. The CSR told me to send it in for repair but refused to answer the question "what happens if you cannot duplicate this intermittent issue?".  After asking the question many times, being put on hold and then being told over and over again that Nokia's technicians are "very skilled and can repair it" I was put on with a "supervisor" who told me that Nokia has seen this before and can repair it. She said it was a settings issue but would not tell me WHAT settings.
Even though I was pretty sure this was a software issue (and had called primarily to make Nokia aware of it) I sent it in for repair since it is still under warranty.
After it had been in Nokia's hands for a week, I called to see what was happening. The CSR told me over and over that "it was in our facility for repair". After pressing him many times and being put on hold for a supervisor (at my request) he finally told me (I never reached a supervisor) that Nokia was "deciding whether to repair it or replace it" and that it would be returned shortly.
An equally frustrating and lengthy call the next day revealed after MUCH pressing that Nokia had repaired a "mechanical issue" and would be sending it back.
Just now I got an Email with a tracking number and a copy of the repair paperwork. The paperwork states that it was updated (GDR2 I assume) and tested and found to be working. No mention whatsoever of any repair efforts.
In other words, I was lied to TWICE. Once when I was told that the freezing was a known issue and could be repaired. And then again when I was told that a mechanical issue had been repaired.
Is this truly the kind of customer experience Nokia is comfortable with? Really? This was my first experience with Nokia and with Windows Phone and I am here to say without a shadow of a doubt that it will be my LAST unless Nokia can show me that this was an anomaly.
I am writing this here because I don't see any other way into Nokia other than the "support" phone number...... and that didn't work out very well.

guys, please just persist with your local Nokia Care outlet and have your phones repaired to your satisfaction, there is no point taking out your frustration here as it does not get anyone anywhere.
Where do I find a "local Nokia Care outlet"?  The only entry to Nokia support I find is the phone number on their web site.  If you read my original post, you will see why I found calling that number that a less than stellar experience..... many times.  I / we take our frustration out here because there is NO other place to do it.... Nokia is very well insulated from its customers.  Maybe I should open a Facebook account?
Since writing my original post, the phone has arrived and I find I was lied to yet again.... although that "lie" kinda cancels out an earlier one.  Contrary to the paperwork which states that the ONLY thing they did to the phone was test it, I find that upon close examination they actually seem to have replaced the screen.  I can tell because there were a couple near microscopic nicks in the screen that are now absent.
As for whether that actually resolved my original issue, I cannot tell yet.  That may take some time since I am in essence trying to prove a negative.
The repair paperwork includes the statement "Passed, software update".  Not sure what that means.... the phone as it came back to me was NOT updated to GDR2 / Amber although those updates were available prior to their receiving the phone.  The phone came back to me with the same firmware that was in it when I shipped it and I had to do the GDR2 update myself.
Yes, I needed to vent.  Yes, I feel (a little) better.  But based on my experience this time around, I will go buy an iPhone before I EVER deal with Nokia "support" again.  And I am DEFINITELY not an Apple fan, so take that as an indication of my level of frustration.  I actually LIKE the 820 and the concept of Windows Phone.

My iphone plus is bending, what does Apple offer regarding this issue?
I am trying to get to contact with Apple Customer Care, but not clear to me how to do it beside this channel of communication. I bought the phone from kosovar carrier which is under Slovenian ownership. This means that the original warranty comes from Slovenia, bit complicated but still I would like to get an urgent answer how to proceed with this issue, thanks

Maybe i should have only asked if anyone is aware on apple's policy
regarding bending. I took the point that this seems not a proper forum to
pose Q's to apple thanks to both

  • E72 talk with the nokia customer care

i tried to talk to them with all the problems we E72 users are facing, but seems somehow that they either keep avoiding the question, or don't answer the question, but give answers that slightly have something to do with the question. either way their replies don't help whatsoever.
I tried to ask them to send a software engineer to look at our problems, I asked twice and they didn't answer both times.
    [Sent:  06/09/2010 03:06:25 PM]
Hi, I read that there is a new release for the E72, v51.018. From current posts in Nokia's discussion page, many of the problems that existed in v22.007 and v31.023 were not resolved in v51.018.
Furthermore, i read that program versions such as for Adobe Reader, the program did not update as v51.018 suggested.
Is it possible to release the full firmware fixes? Many people are confused as to what the 450 fixes were, since a lot of current problems have yet to be resolved.
    "Altogether 450+ errors are fixed"
Would you also be able to request an engineer to the Nokia Discussion forum in order to clear up any misunderstandings that current E72 owners have? that would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Thank you for emailing the Nokia Care Contact Center.
We apologize for the confusion that we may have caused you. In response to your inquiry about the availability of the latest software update for your Nokia E72, please be informed that update availability is based on many things, including existing Nokia device software version, country, and operator. It may be due to one of these variables that your Nokia device is not eligible for updates.
Please note that your mobile service provider, operator, or carrier may not have approved the latest Nokia device software available.
Nokia produces many different variants of each product (for different countries and languages) and not all variants have the latest Nokia device software. It is our priority to update all variants as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any delay.
New software may become available at a later date and to get a notification when new software is available for your device, register with My Nokia and subscribe to email or SMS notifications.
New Nokia device software is released on a regular basis, but please note that not all countries and operators support the latest version.

So, each E72 that has a v51.018 update are all completely different updates depending on the various E72 (singapore, North America, etc)? FOr the E72 that already have the v51.018 update available, many people have said that they are still experiencing problems that have been present since earlier firmwares.
Is there a location where we can see what changes are made on the varient E72 updates? Currently I have an E72-2 (North America) and I saw that the update is not out yet for the North American version.

On that website you provided, I did not see any message updates regarding software updates, merely whether my E72 model is eligible for a firmware update. Can you provide me the link with Nokia message updates regarding current firmwares? Also, there hasn't been much support on the nokia discussion forum about the current problems that the new firmware is experiencing. What is the update on that?
Is there any way of downgrading? many people have said that the out-of-the-box firmware version was the most stable and that the v31.022 and v51.018 were very unstable compared to the original.
    Thanks.

I just went to the web link you provided, and it said that my warranty is still valid, however it has given me 10 days to mail in my device, otherwise i need to provide proof of purchase. Did i accidentally activate something? I merely input my serial number to see what my options are.
At this time, my phone has no problems, as i have not upgraded the firmware, BUT i am stresing that other owners of E72 are experiencing firmware issues, and I am asking if there is any way for a software engineer to investigate these issues so that future firmwares will have many issues solved that customers have found?
    Nokia Reply [11/09/2010]
Thank you for emailing the Nokia Care Contact Center.
We apologize for any inconvenience that we may have caused you. In response to your queries, we would like to inform you that you did not activate anything when you verify the warranty of your Nokia E72. No need to worry about the online warranty verification.
In regard to the firmware update, updating the software of the handset will fix minor and major software issues that is causing and can cause issues. It is not our intention to provide more problem with the update that we are releasing. The main goal of the updates is to improve the device’s general performance.
basically the conversation went in a full circle.. its obvious the firmware is to IMPROVE the performance of the E72, but it would be very helpful if a software engineer can SEE the problems that we are facing. Basically we are the guinea pigs who are testing the software stability, and they are the ones programming.. If they are not going to look at the problems we have exploited, there will be no solutions for this phone.
    Questionz, E72

  • Really Disappointed with the Customer Care Services

    Hi,
I had purchased a new Lenovo laptop G500(S) on 8.Nov.2013.
Just after 10 days it stopped working and didn’t start at all with or without battery.
I thought it’s a charging problem, so called customer care and they sent a technician for diagnosing the issue.
He gave a report and mentioned to replace the adapter, I got the new adapter within 3 days but the problem was still there.
Surprisingly, I did not get any call after delivery of adapter from Lenovo whether the issue is resolved or not L.
Finally I called the customer care again and explained everything, they concluded that they are sending new motherboard.
I requested them to replace the laptop itself as it’s not even a month and if there is a problem in motherboard that means the laptop is defective.
They gave me a new number saying that they don’t handle such requests and I have to call lencare.
I called at new number, my call was kept on hold for almost an hour and suddenly the phone got disconnected.
I also use another laptop of different brand and it happens with them too, but in such cases they arrange a call back for me if their customer executives are so busy.
Surprisingly, I waited for 2 days an didn’t  get any call back from Lenovo.
I tried lencare number again and again but same thing happened that they put me on hold for 1 hour and phone got disconnected.
Finally I called the earlier customer care number, and they gave the same reply that your laptop will be replace without any problem but we can’t take this request.
This time they gave me an email address [email protected], but again no reply from them even after sending the reminder email.
Let me know if you can help.

First this is a technical base forum and we are users just like your self here. With that said your post is agaisnt the terms and use you just agreed to. if you have feed back for apple go to apple.com/feedback. Thank you

  • N8 with Nokia 616 car kit

Advice anyone? I'm pretty sold on getting an N8, due to the fact that Nokia seem to build a robust phone that gets better reception than most others when used as a phone. The only real issue at the moment seems to be that it will not be compatible with my nokia 616 car kit (possibly the best car kit ever made, and still being sold today). Does anybody know if there will be an upgrade to get around this issue or, any other solution? I gather that it's possible to get other makes of 'smartphones' with BT3 to connect and work with the 616... so why can't the N8, especially seeing as they both have NOKIA stamped on them??

I do not have N8, i have N97mini... but i have that carkit.
My findings are that with E71 and N97mini there was trouble involved. You can pair, you need a special software on E71 to get the contacts downloaded, and both do loose connection after a while.
Sometimes there is no connection at all, and then you have to switch off and on the bluetooth on the phone to get it working again.
E71 then was obviously fixed with new firmware. Bluetooth was stable after the update. On N97mini i am still waiting for some improvement.
Did also monitor car-bluetooth topics in this board. There are several users complaining, that their devices did work with very old mobiles, but not with the newer ones.

  • I just wanted to say I am sorry and clarify the situation as it was clarified for me yesterday... Great experience with Palm Customer Support.

I called Sprint yesterday and was treated terribly by tech support because I didn't want to switch devices.  They as much as called me outright stupid for wanting to stay with my Palm Pre.  Even though they agreed that all four phones were broken out of the box and that I was not at fault.  They refused to help on the basis that Palm Pre's were being recalled and no longer would be available at Sprint.  I was so upset that I called Palm immediately and found that to be untrue.  Thankfully.  Despite all the issues I had, I don't believe it was Palm's fault.  I believe the Authorized Retailers were selling refurbished phones as new.  Especially after finding out that my husbands' Samsung Moment had over 400 hours of talk time a week after he bought the phone.  So, after being lied to by Sprint, I called Palm and the Tech's were very helpful and very empathetic and are sending me a replacement phone.  They waived the fee since this is to be my 5th replacement and I was extremely surprised at how helpful they were.
Further, this morning I got a phone call from an unknown number... which I almost didn't answer but I did and it turned out to be a Palm Corporate Customer Service Rep who had read some of my "rants" on here.   He apologized and we talked for a while about the problems I had with R**** $&*** and Sprint.  He then offered to replace the Touchstone I had purchased earlier this month and offered to call me after I receive the replacement and the TS kit to make sure there was no problems... which I believe he will.  SO, I am a person who is very happy with Palm. If I am wrong, I will say I am wrong... especially if my experiences could had given people pause about buying this phone.  I am sorry.  It is truly a great company, who does care about their customers and their opinions.
So, if you do end up being one of the few people who have an issue.  Try Sprint once and if they don't fix the problem... call Palm and they will take care of you.  I got caught up in a cycle of reading other people examples (and who knows how much a situation is exaggerated) and expected to receive horrible service from Palm.  But I didn't and I am glad that I stuck with them.
If anyone reading had a similiar experience from Palm where they went above and beyond the call of duty to restore your faith in the company... please post if you have the time. Thanks again

I am sorry if I didn't explain clearly but Radioshack is the first place I bought my phone from... as an authorized retailer I assumed that if it was new, it wouldn't be broken... but after the first two, I got online and found another story where Radioshack got caught selling a refurb Palm Pre as new.  The guy bought it took it home and it had some defect (that I can't remember) and when he went to Pandora App, he found that the previous owner had signed in and it hadn't been cleared out.  So.... I don't know... but I agree with you because you still see the problem clearly.  Sprint acts as though they are supportive of Palm, but if you have the slightest issue, they throw Palm under the bus and won't back a far superior product.  I do agree that there are some issues with the Palm build, but I think that it has more to do with the owner than anything.  If you have the time and ability to take care with your Pre, then it will probably last longer than someone who just jams the charger in the port or anyone who doesn't baby the phone 97% of the time.  I am sure some people are going to say that you shouldn't have to take sure care with a phone and I agree, but unfortunately that is just the case for now. I have faith that the next webOS device is going to be of a spectacular and solid build quality.  And the rep that called me about the charger kit said some about a future device, I don't know if he was just talking in general or if there is actually a device in the makings but I hope so!
    http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pre/240804-still-my-1st-pre-proud.html#post2368881
I know there was a post on precentral that talked about who was on their first Palm Pre's and the number was surprising high.  I just know that I am still waiting on my replacement from Pre and they could have very easily just grabbed a refurb and threw it in a box to be shipped.  But I was assured that a tech was going to inspect the device before it was sent to me and it was shipped two days after my order.  So, hopefully dealing with Palm rather than Sprint will be the deciding factor that allows me to finally have a great model of the Pre with no prior issues out of the box.  I just hope that there is a new Palm webOS device when I able to upgrade in a year or so.  Above is the link for the forums regarding owners who are still on number one, alot of them launch day Pre's.  Thanks for your response.  Can't wait till Monday

First my Lumia 920 developed infamouse batterry drain and overheat (while charged wiresly) problems and few weeks later camera died - you press camera button and nothing happens.
Resets and multple chats with Noka care did not helped so this Monday I had to mail it back to Nokia care center in Texas, they got it on WEdnesday and as of Friday it is still showing this:
    Your repair status
    IMEI xxxxxxxxxxxxx9463 Status In repair
Your product is currently being analysed or repaired.
What are they trying to repair for 3 full day is beyond me understanding!
Not have a phone for a week is pain and now it looks like I will not get it till midlle of the next week.
Not sure how Nokia planing to copmeate with Apple.
Apple really make these things simple and treat customer with respect - 99% of defecticve products will be replaced right at the spot, no questions asked.

    Hello,
we had a strange issue here.
There was a transport related to customizing for classification moved to consolidation system.
Next day we mentioned that the content of table INOB was lost.
We found a OSS with explained that our transport could generate data loss in INOB table.
    Now we have a question.
Is there any chance to regenerate the content of this table?
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hi,
If transport is compulsory ,please have a back up of data present IN INOB table or else load that data ina Z table so that when u require it u can reload it again.
Please have a look at these notes.

  • Iphone 4 cdma: bad experience with verizon customer service/store

I have been paying around $140 for my shared plan with Verizon. One phone in this line is an iphone4. I am travelling outside the country for the next couple of months and I wanted a solution from Verizon.
    1. Online chat: I asked this question to the chat reps and they told me to go to a store.
    2. Store: At the store I met a folks who did not understand the technical details of a cdma phone. He asked me if I could unlock it and use it. I explained why it is their responsibility to ensure that such a phone is unlocked. He then deferred to the store manager, who kind of seemed nonchalant about the whole situation said that he cannot do anything to help. When I asked what am I supposed to do with this phone after my contract he said that I could do what ever I want with it, he added that I could trade it in for 40 bucks ( while my friends make a couple ah 100 bucks on ebay after selling an unlocked iphone4). He told me to talk to verizon customer support.
    3. Customer support: I dialed in. I asked him a questions about why the company does not offer iphone 4's as a gsm while other service providers do and what value am I getting from paying for a device that I would never use post the contract. He said that verizon was late to provide unlocked phones and they started with the 4s.  I spoke to global support about the rental program that they offer for just 20 days. When I asked if they would make this an exception, they said they cant and the system (made by verizon) will track inventory and will not allow rentals over 20days. The final option was buying another phone for retail price.
Overall I wanted to express that I am completely disappointed in the way Verizon treats their customer. They talk about policies and how they cannot bend it to meet a customers requirement. I would have been the happiest person if they gave me a replacement phone and  not ask me to buy a new unlocked phone. Why am I paying for a service that does not help me during such situations?
    Thank you
    A sad customer...

I'm not sure that I understand what your complaint is.  Verizon Wireless does not offer GSM iPhones 4 because Verizon Wireless does not operate a GSM network.

I am appalled with the recent service from Sky.  I wanted to cancel my subsrciption due to Sky charging extortionate amounts for crap TV.   I  was intially told when re-contracting  that if I wanted to terminate my contract that I would be charged.  Today I spoke to Sky to cancel and was told that I am NOT allowed to cancel.  I feel trapped in my contract.  Sky constantly rip customers off and I have had enough.  After today's experience I would never recommend Sky to anyone as they treat their LOYAL customers (I have been with Sky for 8 years) like S**T.  They are only interested in tapping up new customers and once they have TRAPPED them, bleed them for all the money they have!!!!!!

Well thats funny as i am in contract with Sky( just under 6 months left) and had to cancel a just over a week ago and had zero issues doing so,i just called up explained why i had to cancel and that was that the whole process took me around 15 minutes and that included being on hold and going over the early termination fee's. Your free to cancel whenever you want to but you will be expected to pay early termination fee's if your within a minimum term.

  • Toshiba has a real problem with overheating & customer care across the board

So, my perpetually overheating X505-Q896 finally got sent in for repairs...the price to replace the video card which probably finally died because of the poor heat dissipation? 800.    800 for a 4 year old replacement PC graphics card including labor and parts surcharges (they're asking another 150 to replace another plastic piece which they're reporting "broken"... no clue what that is) you've got to be kidding me. not only do they pop out a poorly designed original machine, but when it's in half runnable state they let the secondary repair middlemen (the toshiba after warr repair guys) RAKE YOU OVER THE COALS.  so, do I bend over and spend 800 on a 4 year old machine? or pony up a grand for another gaming laptop? neither are great options.   You can bet one thing, if I buy a new machine you can bet your bottom dollar it WILL NOT be a toshiba. They discontinued the Qosmio for a reason.  And if you plunked 1.5k or whatever into it I hope you get good use out of it.  when I get it back it MIGHT Be able to play videos for my kids. 800!!!!!!!!!

I think I solved the wifi connection problem, just by switching off completely the router! sounds trivial, but in this case it worked!!!
the funny behaviour of the trackpad/cursor still persists. any suggestion???
    thanks again
