My iphone 5 is not accessible in itunes in win xp.

The iphone is shown in in itunes but it stays at the stage where the iphone tab is shown in the top left of the itunes program but it keeps on loading (where the small loaging ring loads)  
.please help ??
BELOW IS A SCREENSHOT OF THE PROBLEM (i have highlighted the problem  with the small oval ring)......It stays like that for hours 
i tried replacin the cable but still no hope please HELP ME ???
