My iPhone recently updated and since then it is unable to start up. I have tried restoring it, and each time it tells me it is unable to be restored. I have only had it for 8 months.
Like I've said, I've done everything to get it to work again and the screen just shows white lines, or it starts up and the screen fades away to black. It's not water damage, or anything like that. I haven't dropped it. It's since the last update, last night. (for me I did it late)
Will apple replace this for me or is it not covered?
The iPhone includes a one year warranty.
If this is determined to be a hardware failure that is covered under the warranty, it will be exchanged under warranty.

I'm having trouble with my macbook pro, I have only had it for three months, when I plugged a camera sd card into the sd slot it isn't appearing anywhere on the computer and i can not access my photographs. can somebody please help me?
Shootist007 wrote:
Clifton I must disagree with you on the above statement. It is my opinion and experience that you should never connect the camera directly to any computer, Mac Windows Whatever.
It is always best to Remove the memory card from the camera and put it in a card reader, whether an external reader or one built into the computer, to copy images from the card.
Hi Shootist. I would be interested in hearing some reasoning on this. I almost always use a USB cable to connect my camera to the MBP for transferring pictures, and have moved about 30,000 this way over the last 6 years since my photography went digital. Recently, on the rare occassions when I have only a few to transfer and I was too lazy to go for the cable, I have used the card reader; about half those times I have difficulty getting the MBP to recognise the card. I find I have to press the card very hard into the slot for it to be recognised.
My rationale is quite possibly wrong, but I feel that the USB connectors are more robust and hard-wearing than the flimsy connectors on an SD card. Also, I haven't measured it, but I think the data transfer is faster with the cable. (I just came across this test, which reports noticeably faster transfer for cable than built-in card reader, but the computer was a PC)

My phone just stoped working, what do i do??
Did you managed to solve this issue? Performing a hard reset usually helps.
Press and hold both the Lock button and Home button simultaneously until screen fades.
Continue to hold until the Apple logo lights up. -
FPC wont let me render! I'm a video editor and have over 70 gb worth of videos on the imac which all need to be kept for various clients/backup/original versons but now beloved imac is full, only had it for 5 months! Will Ineed external hard drive every 5 months?? This can't be I've already resorted to getting rid of unsed applications such as garage band, iTunes, address book ect. I've trashed everything I could. what next ???
My video files are massive, converting them to a different format doesn't reduce the size of them it just turns them into mp4 or apple pro res ect
This iMac is for work only so there's no pictures, no music, no conacts, no messenger, no games, nonothing but videos!!Have a look at this: http://grandperspectiv.sourceforge.net/
It will show you exactly what is taking up all of your space.
You also may want to consider some kind of external storage just for your video projects. -
why is my mac so slow i have cleansed and cleaned it is a 2010 mac mini i5 but it runs like a 20 year old pc i have only had it for a few months and it was straight out of the box
I'm thinking that you have a > Mac mini (Mid 2011) - Technical Specifications because the 2010 model's only have Core 2 Duo processors and the 2011 had the first i5 processor.
2 GB of RAM is the minimum requirement for Mountain Lion, but it's hardly enough to really enjoy doing anything else.
see > Memory and Free Installation Guides for Apple Mac Mini
Plus I don't have any problems running Mountain Lion and a load of App's on my 2010 Mac Mini with 8GB of RAM. -
Can i return my new ipad that i upgraded i have only had it for 11 days and i still have its box and all it came with
You have 14 days from date of purchase. You need all the packaging plus your receipt.

If not successful, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My iPhone 6 has a clicking sound coming from the top left of the device as if its no aligned properly with the frame.
Ive only had it for about 2 months, the iphone its self is in pristine condition no bumps or scrapes, in fact i treat it
like a new born baby. Will the apple store give me a new replacement or i am wasting my time i have got a clue
never had this or any problem before with iPhone's before. Its not something you want having paid £620 i live
in the UK.If they determine the sound to be a manufacturing defect, then yes, they will replace your iPhone with a refurbished unit of identical specs. The replacement will have the same warranty as your original iPhone, for as long a time as what is left on your iPhone's warranty at the time of exchange.

Apple will replace your iPod with an identical refurbished one for a fee; $99 (8gb) $149 (32gb) or $199 (64gb). The warranty does not cover accidental damage.

Hi,
I can't figure out why my computer completely slows down as soon as I open more than one program, or if I have multiple windows in safari open. I keep getting the wheel and it takes forever for things to load. Even if I'm typing an email or in Word, if I write more than a sentence, it freezes for a few moments. I've cleared the Safari cache and I've run the activity monitor. Nothing is taking more than 15% of the CPU. What should I do next?
I would include a printscreen of the activity monitor, but I don't know how to do that on a mac.
I think I'm on the mac OS X version 10.6.8, but not a 100% sure. I bought my mac in Dec 2010 and I never upgraded to the Lion OS.
thx.How full is the hard drive?
To get more information about your computer, go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present). -

I got in an argument with my ****** girlfriend and I was absolutely wasted. Changed all my passwords during the argument so she wouldn't sabotage my laptop but was way too wasted to remember them. 10,000 tries later, I'm here. Please help??!! Thanks... oh and btw, can I link my stupid prepaid verizon cellphone to the laptop so I can download the pictures on it?? Thanks whoever replies.... JH
<Edited by Host>You can reset the master password and go from there:
For Snow Leopard and earlier:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
For Lion and later:
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4101
On your phone, if you connect it to the computer with a USB cable, it should show up as an external drive in Finder. From there you should be able to navigate to your pictures folder and copy your stuff. -
How do I get my ipad charger working when i've only had it for 3 months
I plugged my ipad in when it said low battery. Then it got very hot and said unable to support this device. Then i thought it might be the outlet, so i plugged it in somewhere else. When I left in alone for about, 5 minutes and came back to check on it, The ipad was dead plugged in. I got this ipad in November and the charger came with it, the ipad was brand new and not used! So i have no idea why it is not working! and if anyone has any idea please help. Also I am unable to go to a store to see what the problem is, because of the current snow storm!
Thank you,
LOLAJEAN7Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.htmlhttp://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night.
