My iphone screen randomly went blank and I can't turn it back on, my top button is broken so I can't turn it off without using the little dot thing on the screen... I don't know what to do.. can I restore it using my charger with my itunes??

Take it to an Apple store genius bar to have the techs see what your options are for repair/replacement. An out-of-warranty replacement is $149 in the US for the iPhone 4.

I've been having the same problem every 3-4 months: the calendar app seems to hang up, I either reset the app/phone or wait it out, then presto! all internal calendar entries have been deleted. Unlike others in this thread and elsewhere, I am not using iCloud.
Interesting fact: while following the suggestion to hide all calendars, then show all calendars, I noticed that the internal calendar option is MISSING. It's like it just doesn't identify that there ever WAS an internal calendar. Really? Argh.
Apple Support: are you guys monitoring this? I've seen a few similar postings, so I don't think we're alone...
Granted, I have more than a few entries - years of calendar/appointment history have been imported from my old Palm Treo. Thanks to slow performance and odd calendar app crashes, I am very well aware that the iPhone's calendar isn't nearly up to the task of handling this many entries, and have been working to get the quantity of entries down. I must be up near some threshold, as response time seems to have improved with several deleted entries, though it was just before the crash+data loss.
Fortunately, I try to sync with my Outlook calendar nightly, so I do have a backup. However, this type of data loss and instability re VERY painful for those that actually USE and practically LIVE by their calendars. Here's hoping I can remember today's entry modifications...
One additional complaint: WHY can't I edit a recurring appointment WITHOUT it creating a NEW one? Crazy... For all the things this smartphone does well, it does several things VERY stupidly.

You know, I don't know much of computers and of technology but when I bought that ipod back when they came out 2005 I was able to download music from my CDs and from Youtube to itunes then transfer to my ipod and back and forth to itunes . Then if I had changed of computer I was able to transfer to that new computer.Why I'm not able to do it ? There is a program(Sharepod) that allow to do that but it cost $35.00 but I thought that was free or it is because that now I have to buy from itunes only?

What if my ipod touch 4th generation can't update and now the only option is to restore it.

If you see this symbol in the status bar, it means that TTY is on. Choose Settings > Phone to turn TTY on or off.

You will need to put the phone in recovery mode, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808, you shouldn't loose any data the program will backup your iPhone first before the restore.

If your iPhone wont power on, I recommend going through these steps first:

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

My iphone 4 is completely blank. I can't do a hard reset on it. It is charged and when I plug it into the charger, nothing happens. Before the screen went blank the apple symbol appeared with lines through it, then the phone stopped working.
if it does not work the first time, try it 3 or 4 times :
try holding the top sleep button and the round home button for 10 seconds or so, until you see the apple logo. This should force it to restart. Make sure that your SIM is in place before you try this.
If there's something wrong with the OS software, it will prompt you to plug it into a mac or pc running the latest iTunes to restore or reload the software. hope this helps. -

HELP!!!!It is likely that the device has unrepairable harm done to it having it washed in the washing machine. However, one thing that could be tried would be to have the device placed in a glad bag full of un-cooked rice and leave it there for 72 hours to see if this will absorb residual moisture showing up on the display glass. It could be assumed that if there is that much moisture showing it's unlikely attempting to draw out moisture will be sucessful.

I can;t understand the apple terminology - what is a keychain and how is it different to password? When I set a new password it keeps asking me for the login keychain. None of my passwords work for it and I don't know when it would have been created.
A "keychain" is a secure database in which passwords are stored in an encrypted format to prevent unauthorized discovery of your passwords. Think of it like a bank safe deposit box in which you can safely store your passwords.
If you have a problem with your keychain then perhaps you have not changed the passwords correctly or need to repair your keychain. You might try:
Assuming that you are using a recent build of OS X, go to /Applications/Utilities and launch the app called Keychain Access. Go to the Window pulldown menu and select "Keychain First Aid". Enter your password, set the radio button to "Repair", and click "Start". -
