My ipod 4th generation says its charging but when i take it off the charger it says it has low battery what do i do can i fix it?or do i go to the apple store and ask?

i tryed charging it on like 3 diffrent chargers so its not the charger and well i tryed reseting the ipod and it works for alittle while then it starts doing it again i just got my ipod in decemberr and well i dnt think it has insurancee what do i do ?do i buy a new one or can they fix it?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

The battery is possibly unable to take as much power as a normal battery. It may need a replacement battery.

Yes. The battery appears to be shot and in need of a replacement. This can either be done by Apple or a third party repair company.

They can fix it at the Apple Store. I wish you could get it fixed for free, but the warranty doesn't cover accidents like this . It sounds like you understand this, I just want to make sure you know.

My iPod has two small dots on it. The first one is red and the other is white. The red one came first and a few weeks later the white one showed up. Can I take it to the Apple store and have it exchanged?

I've had it for less than a year and noticed a few weeks ago that it had a red dot on the center of the screen. About a week ago I noticed another dot, a white one, right next to it. I've never dropped it and even went out of my way to buy a decent case to keep it safe. I spent over 200$ on my 4Gen iPod Touch it and I'm very concerned that these dots will spread across my screen. Having resent my iPad using the Settings route, the Apple logo appeared onscreen and a line below it filled from left to right. When full, the device did nothing. I was able to switch it off and back on, only to see the same Apple logo and filled line. Even pressing the ON botton for a few seconds did nothing. The device is now inert, and I cannot access it. Unfortunately this doesn't work - also I can't seem to reset my ipod - I've pressed the Menu and Play button together - and it does appear with the apple logo - but then it comes back with the songs and same settings.

Hi, umm so anyways my ipod is about 2 years old now and i think the reason why it started to malfunction in the first place was because i had too much stuff on my ipod, apps, movies, and junk. But now i took it to the apple store and they were able to restore my ipod but when i go home it goes bad again and i try ot restore it on my laptop and it says it can't restore it. You can always go to the Apple Store and ask and sometimes people get lucky. Most of the time Apple requires that you pay the repair price listed here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/prices/
The least expensive way to repair (although it will void your warranty) is to go to ebay and search ipod touch 4th glass service and there are people who do it for as low as $60.

I'd take it in and see if they will cover the damage or not.
