perhaps some of you can help me with this problem:
since I connect my iPod 5G with the Firewire-Cord of my son´s iPod mini, my iPod isn´t recognized any longer on every Computer i connect him via USB!
The notice on my iPod after the Connection via Firewire, that there is no sync over Firewire, looks ok for me. But after replacing it with my USB-Cord, it only lights on, but no "Do not disconnect" is shown on the Display, nor the System Profiler find it on the USB-Bus. Even on a PC at work, it will be recognized as "New Hardware".
Any ideas?

karstenI have just had the same thing happen to me...no solution, I tried resetting etc...nothing. My connection now gives warning that "ipod is connected to a low-speed USB 1.1 port....you should connect it to a high-speed USB 2.0 port"... Trouble is all of my macs have usb 2.0 and since using the firewire (as a charger) it now thinks they are all USB 1.1 ports.

At least once a day, I find the Firefox is not opening. This happens after I have closed another web site. I will click on a shortcut and nothing happens. The only thing that works is to reinstall Firefox. Can you give me some idea why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it. I am using Firefox 19.0 running on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 with flash player and Java enabled.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.

#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

TS2755 I cannot send in iMessage. The send button doesn't do anything. Any ideas?
My iMessage send function has suddenly stopped. I can compose a message, but cannot send it. The send button is blue, but does not seem to be working. I can receive messages, however.
When I first started using Messages I tried typing the message on the first line. That line is marked Subject but I didn't notice that. Without any text on the second line, which is marked Message I think, the Send button was not available. As soon as I typed the Message on the second line, Send became available. Could this simple solution ble your problem?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If necessary:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I'm having trouble transferring the songs on my ipod to my HP computer. Everytime i authorize the computer to allow the songs to go on, it doesn't do anything. Then I authorize it again and still nothing has changed. Any suggestions?
Was the content purchased from iTunes? If not, it will not transfer.

Windows XP ProI just had the same exact problem. It's like the Nano was forwarding thru the songs by itself..nothing would play!
So I went and looked at the manual, which suggested I try resetting it first. I did, and it worked! Here's what I did:
The manual instructed me to turn the "hold" switch on & off. Then it said to hold down the Menu and center button at the same time, until the Apple logo appeared. Then in a few moments the main screen came back on...and I was able to play songs again.

How do you have your iPod configured to sync with your iTunes library? Automatically or do you manually manage its contents by dragging what you would like from your library to the iPod.
If you have it set to automatically sync all checked songs and videos, make sure each track you wish to sync to your iPod is checked within your iTunes library.
Under the Summary tab for your iPod, is there any space taken of by the "Other" category (orange)?

My iPod touch screen says it is disabled. Connect to iTunes. When I connect the device to the computer a window pops up and said that the iPod is locked and I need to enter the passcode on the iPod..... I can't get it to do anything. Any ideas?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I have an iPad 3rd gen. A carrier settings update notification has appeared on my screen, and it doesn't do anything when I press either 'update' or 'not now' . Because the notification is still there, I am unable to use any apps or shut it down. What should I do?
Have you tried a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

I'm trying to downgrade my storage on my ipod but when I chose my new storage i'm not able to complete the choice because the 'done' button doesn't do anything. can someone please give me some advice?
Are you choosing a different plan before tapping Done?
To downgrade, you should be doing the following:
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
Tap Change Storage Plan.
Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
Tap Done.
