My iPod says it needs to be connected to iTunes to restore it but when I try to restore it, it will not work! I can't even get my iPod to turn on!
How do I fix this problem?
- What happens when you connect the iPod to a computer with iTunes and try to restore the iPod?
- I am confused. First you say the screen says to connect to itunes and then you say the the iPod does not turn on. Does the iPod screen still show the connect to iTunes?
- Try placing the iPiod in Recovery mode and then restore.
- Next try DFU mode and restore.

My IPOD Nono 2nd Gen showes up in ITunes but when I clike on it it just disapears and the only way to get IPOD Icon back is to disconnect it from PC then reconnect it when agin the icon apperas but when selected just disapears. Try one or more of the following:
> Restart Your Computer
> Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
> Reset iPod (nothing will get deleted)

In some cases (and this happened to me before) plug your iPod in and out your computer a few times. It should get it going. If not, then I strongly recommend starting your computer. -
On the wifi settings it shows that my ipod is connected to a network, but when I try to open safari it does not open it, because it says its not connected to wifi
You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -
ipod is in restore mode (dropped) but when i try to restore i get the message- ipod server could not be contacted. any ideas?

hi, my daughter wrote wrong paswords in my ipod touch and it is blocked. It says it needs to be connected to itunes, but once its there it says the ipod is blocked with a passcode..the ipod is just blocked. what can I do?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

try to exit out of the youtube app with the multitasking feature. if this doesnt work then try to do a manual restart by holding down the home and power/sleep button all the way past the "slide to unlock" screen until the ipod will power off and the apple symbol will appear when the ipod tuens back on

Hi, I have connected my iPhone 5 to iTunes, backed it up and then started the update but there was a problem, now my phone will not work, it asks to restore factory settings which I have tried 3 times, each time it says the device has an unknown error and the phone switches off. Please help.
Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! what I did was this: just when I will finish the process, when the status bar is at the end in the firmware, only put the sim card and go back to take out, I do this like 4 or 5 times and the process restoration ends so well. This method I tried it 2 times and 2 times worked. I spent like 10 hours trying to restore iphone without results, until I started watching the logs and the key is when you are upgrading the firmware sends a command to answer yes. And I hope this helps.
