The lock button on my iphone is jammed, and i need to send it in to get it fixed. Can someone explain the process to me of sending in your phone to apple? and even if i have apple care, will i still have to pay for my phone to be fixed? if so, around how much do you think this would cost? im not familiar with apple, so any help would be great! thanks!

If your phone was damaged by you or in accidental damage, then you would be liable to pay for the repairs. Apple does not offer "loaner" phones, but if you have a credit card, they will "advance ship" a replacement to you so you can get it, then return your damaged one to them and as long as they get it back within a resonable time and it is warranty covered damage, they do not charge you for the replacement iPhone, but they do charge you a fee for the advanced replacement option (about $40-80 USD IIRC).
You can eliminate all the at by making an appointment at a local AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) and they should be able to check your iPhone on the spot. It it is covered under the warranty, they shoud replace it for free right there, and if not, they would let you know and you have the choice to make the repairs or not.

It has nothing to do with AppleCare and they will not upgrade you through AppleCare. You would need to get your iPhone repaired then have them inspect the repaired phone, make you an offer and give you a gift card. You also must use the gift card towards an iPhone and sign a contract when you get the new iPhone.

It's a good idea to check the terms of your insurance first. Some companies will raise your rates as soon as you make any kind of claim, no matter how small, and the deductible may be so high that making a claim is not worthwhile.

Why do I have grey 'Mac' window bars when a document is floating, and how do I get rid of them?

This is really annoying, as I'm used to working with the new black 'tabbed' look, but I find my PS now looks like this screen grab. How do I switch back to the black tabbed look for floating windows, rather than the Mac traffic lights?

I have Photoshop CC 2014 in Yosemite as well.
If your Interface Preferences have "Open Documents in Tabbed Windows" checkmarked, it should do that without fail unless you uncheck the Application Frame ((under Window menu in PS) in which case documents open in Windows.
Floating document windows will always have the gray bar, no matter the Color Theme you choose in Photoshop unlike Windows 7.
However if you go in Mac System Preference > General and choose "Graphite" under appearance, it will turn off the "traffic light" look and leave you with gray/white window control buttons.
If you minimize Photoshop in Windows, both PS and the Document Window will minimize, but in the Mac version, you can independently minimize the document window and the PS app. As far as I can see, there is nothing malfunctioning. Each OS has its' own way.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6. You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

Sounds that you previously had the about:newtab page when you opened Firefox and this now has changed to a Facebook page.
You can check the startup setting:

The lock button on the iphone 4 isnt working.

It looks ok , but you cant push it in, Vodafone say i must have damaged it by hitting it on something. but I know I havent, it just stopped working. Surely if you damage it then it would be stuck in or there would be marks on the top of the phone if you hit it hard. Very confused as the phone is only 6 months old . They have replaced it but want £150 off me to pay for the replacement as they say the returns report says it was damaged.

VF state I have put too much pressure on it but I dont think I have , it isnt as if I have been banging it on the table. Sounds like there's actually an issue with your Home button. Screenshots happen when you press both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons simultaneously.
