My network adapter has exclamation point

I have a problem with our computer, its network adapter has exclamation mark and I tried to fix it from reading forums in the internet, and I saw one, run the cmd as administrator and  I have notification that saying there logon failure:user account
restriction.possible reasons are blank password not allowed(I put password already),logon hour restrictions(I reset my time and date and my CMOS working) or a policy restriction has been enforced. But still I went to cmd and type netsh winsock reset and after
I restart our computer and it didnt work..
Please help me.It so rush for me to solve. My network adapter is Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC,my motherboard EMXIH61LT. I hope you have answers for that..Please help me..Thank you...

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

Hi in my device manager the Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter ? the Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter has a yellow !
Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi
Firsly try to run Windows updates and see if it can be detected by Windows update and install apprpriate driver ..
Secondly if that did not work try to RIGHT click the  Microsoft Virtual Machine Bus Network Adapter and click update driver and choose let Windows look for driver .
                  Post me your findings

  • Network adapter has to be reset after waking from sleep

Short version: When waking a T440s from sleep, there is no network connection, and the adapter must be reset in order to connect to our local network.
Long version: We're preparing to deploy Lenovo T440s's to our laptop users. After a WDS installation, the local network adapter works, as long as the computer has just booted, or doesn't go to sleep. Once the laptop goes to sleep, the network connection
is lost. I have to "diagnose" the issue to get the laptop to connect to the network again. During diagnosis, the only step that the troubleshooter reports doing is resetting the "local area connection" adapter.
Question: What is the actual process that is taking place when the adapter is reset? I would guess uninstall the device (like I would from device manager) and reinstall the device using the current drivers. While it's not an ideal solution, I could script
the process to run when the system wakes from sleep if we decide to use these laptops. At least, until I can find a better solution/driver.

  • Wireless network adapter - yellow exclamation mark triangle

Hello, My wireless internet button is orange and isn't and doesn't change colour when I press it so wifi isn't working. In network adapters, my wireless adapter shows up and is: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter  It has a yellow exclamation mark triangle on it. It says it is enabled, but in device status it says: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code 39){Unable to load device driver}%hs device driver could not be loaded.Error status was 0x%x When I try to update driver software, it says the best driver software is already installed and up to date. Please help me get my wifi back -  I have a HP pavilion g6 2210sa, Product number C6S45EA#ABU and running Windows 8. Best wishes and thank you in advance.

I have HP 15-r264dx windows 8.1 64 bit laptop with Realtek wireless adapter RTL8188ee 802.11 bgn. There is an exclamation mark with the wireless signal which is white. Sometimes my wireless cannot connect. My wired LAN is OK. I unchecked the option to make adapters power off to save power I think in power management. I have a 2015 driver for the wireless adapter. HP diagnosis would reset the adapter and everything is fine but still the white exclamation mark. I think a setting is not correct, any ideas what it may be and how do I go to it? I am connected with the wireless lan right now to my Verizon DSL router and it is unsecured.

  • Just purchased a new album on my iPhone.  Now in iTunes it shows under purchased but won't play due to exclamation points.  How do i get rid of them?

Just purchased a new album on my iphone.  The album shows up in my itunes account but has exclamation points after it and I'm not able to play those songs.  How do I fix this?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library and then download again using the Purchased link in the right-hand column of the iTunes Store home page, or transfer them from the iPhone again.

  • Locate music with exclamation points

my computer crashed before i could back up any music, when starting my new computer i redownloaded itunes and it automatically found all my music but about 80% of my music has exclamation points and it cant locate where the music is on this new hard drive. i have tried organizing the library and it wont fix anything i have tried copying my old library into a new one to start over and it still can not locate this music. i need help as to how to restore all of this music to where it is playable again.

Assuming the tracks are on the disc and iTunes is just confused as to where to look for them you might find that my FindTracks script will help out. Download it and test it out on a few tracks first. Use the No option first time around to manually confirm each path that it wants to fix so you can see how it works. When you're happy it does what you want select a larger group of tracks to process automatically.

  • All of my music that wasn't purchased from the itunes store has been faded out on my ipod, despite me being able to play them in itunes. half my songs have exclamation points but only in the 'on this ipod' section, and when i double-click no window appear

I'm freaking out because almost all my music except for those songs purchased directly from the iTunes store has been deleted from my iPod - about 35 gigs. The songs show up, but they're all faded out and unplayable from my device (I have the newest version). Exclamation points appear beside all my songs in the "On this iPod" section, and yet I can't double-click to locate the files as nothing pops up. Some of my music has a weird circle next to it and is even more faded out when I'm in the "On this iPod" section - that's been happening for a couple of days. Yesterday I tried to set my settings to sync with my library only, and it worked, but this morning everything got even worse with the rest of my songs disappearing. What's happening???? Help??

The syncing of music is one way, computer to phone. See this helpful document from a fellow user. Credit goes to the author.

  • When looking at my Itunes songs that I have purchased and imported from CD, every song has an exclamation point next to it and says it can't be found. Why? and how do i fix it?

all of my songs in itunes have exclamation points next to them - why?

    Hi Paula!
The exclamation points are due to iTunes not being able to find your music. This can be caused from either music being deleted from the computer or if the music folder has changed locations.
iTunes does not actually store the music in the program. All music is saved on the hard drive of your PC. iTunes just creates a link to their location and if that link is broken the exclamation points appear.
I see you're using a windows computer, the best way to locate these songs and add them back in to iTunes is to search for them.
You can click on your start menu, then in the search field type either the title of a particular song or .M4P
This should locate the music for you. Once you locate all the music or the one in particular you can right click on it and select properties. In properties you will be able to see the location.
An example of a location is, C:User Name/Documents and Settings/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media
Once you have that location you can go back to iTunes, click on a song with an exclamation, it will ask you if you would like to locate the file. Say yes and then direct the path to that song and after you select the appropriate song for that 1 file iTunes will ask you if you would like it to locate the other songs that are missing. Just say yes and your library will be back!

  • HT203175 I don't know whether these articles apply or not.  Here's what I seeing in my iTunes program.  When I open iTunes, I see little exclamation points next to EVERY song that has been downloaded.  Therefore, I can't play them from my computer or dwnl

Can somebody help me get rid of these exclamation points so that I can download all my songs to my iPod?  Please?  I don't know why they appeared, as I did have the songs working before and they were on my iPod.  But, I didn't want ALL of them on there and I didn't know I could "select" which songs to send to the iPod.  However, it's been a few months since I messed with it.  But, yesterday, when I went to select my songs, I noticed all these excalamation points on everything that was there.  Help, please!  Again, I can't play them from my computer AND they won't download to my iPod!
    Thanks,

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

  • My ipod will not stay connected to my computer.  When first plugged into the usb port, I can see it as a drive.  Within seconds it disappears.  If I look in the devices area, I can see it but it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point beside it.

When I connect my ipod to a usb port on my computer, I can see it in my computer as a drive for a few seconds and then it disappears.  It can be seen under devices but as a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it.  If I run trouble shoot, it states windows is disconnecting this device.
I can see it in itunes as a device.  However, this is a brand new computer, running windows 7.  My last one bit the dust in mid use.  I want to save the songs on my ipod and to do that I believe I need to be able to see the files on the ipod.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great Troubleshooting on your own so far!. (If you got 2 PC and 2 iPod would be much easier, some of the people in this community has more than 2 of each.)
Hope you did not connect it to a USB Hub, the sync cable must be plug in directly to a USB2 port at the back of the Desktop Computer.
If you have a spare Notebook, with iTunes, connect it to the Notebook, to check if the iPod is working or hung.
Can you iPod run and play songs, when disconnected from the PC? (Sorry, for just asking the obvious)
Anyway, just hard reset your iPod, so that we can start from scratch
    1. if your iPod is hung, reset it by pressing Menu and Center button for at least 10 secs till the Apple logo, comes on. (this won't delete your songs in the iPod, if they are not corrupted))
    2. Connect it back to your Notebook or Desktop.
if your iPod screen is dead, try charging the battery by connecting it to another computer. if it doesn't connect to successfully to another computer, it may need servicing.
    Good luck!

  • HT203167 most of my music has the exclamation point and won't allow me to place songs in a playlist on a new ipod...why?                                     ?

Most of the songs in my iTunes library has been tagged with the exclamation point and will not allow me to place those songs on a new Nano iPod I bought...why?  This is music I have purchased in the past.

See here: iTunes displays a -69 error when syncing iPod
You can use the disk diagnostic tool built into the iPod's firmware to test the health of it's Hard Drive.  See this post from another forum member turingtest2 on how to do this as well as what the resulting numbers mean.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop on Mavericks logs out and has a red exclamation point.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro with OS Mavericks on it. Since then, I can log into Creative Cloud desktop with no issues and use the app. But once my laptop goes to sleep and I wake it up, I will have a red exclamation point on the icon in the menu bar. If I click on the icon in the menu bar it will tell me the problem is with apps and if I click on apps it will eventually update and the red exclamation point will go away. But sometimes, when I click on the creative cloud icon in the menu bar it will say there is a problem with the connection and allows me to retry which will eventually get me back in or sometimes it will have just logged me out and I have to log back in.
It never did this before, I was able to just log in once and it would always be logged in and no network problems.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

I had similiar problem and i just stopped using Creative Cloud desktop. There's lot of other issues with that application that cannot be fixed since July.
I doubt that this application was created by some who ever worked on Mac. That's why i would recommend patience and disabling launching at start.

  • Has anyone encountered an "exclamation  point" in a white circle centered on a black screen when trying to edit a photo?

Has anyone encountered an "exclamation point symbol" in a gray circle surrounded by a black screen when editing in iphoto?

    Yes.
The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

I can't access one of the four songs I just purchased. It has an exclamation point between the list number and the check mark.

The usual reason for missing files is that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter.
