Necessary to see green check-mark (Update Successful) during Airport Firmware Update?

I had just taken the leap of faith and decided to update my current workhorse Airport Extreme to 7.6.1 fro 7.6.
It downloaded and ran successfully all the way to the rebooting of the router. However, the computer I was running my Airport Utility on did not seem to find and connect back to the rebooted router fast enough and the Utility said "No Airport Detected" - so it did not show me the "green check-mark" update succesful page that I was normally used to.
But I was able to restart the Utility again, and connect to it to see if running on 7.6.1. All seems to be well...
However - being the completionist that I am, it bothered me I never got to see this "green check-mark" page. I was wondering if not seeing that confirmation page really mattered in this firmware upgrade - whether I saw it or not in the first place, and whether not seeing it could corrupt or mess up my update process that I did not know about? As long as I see my router showing 7.6.1 after the reboot - I should be fine right?

I have recently upgraded to the 4.0.1 on my iPhone 4 where I lost everything from pictures to calendars. Unfortunately I have still not been able to get them back. I have noticed that some of my successfully sent messages are a light green shade where as others are the normal darker green but have a small green check mark by it. Clear/Open Item Symbol Green Check Mark

I am running report FBL3N, for a clearing account, under clear/open item symbols instead of seeing a red dot or green dot, i see a check a mark. Does anyone knows what this green check mark means, and how can I clear the items?

Right now client has the accounts set-up as Line Item Display ( ALL OF TEH G/L ACCOUNTS), if I check open line item, when I save I get an error, saying there are errors. When I pull the long text to see the message of the error, it tells me,the message below. It apepars I have to create new accounts and then transfer the items to the new account is that true? or is there another way to fix this. I thought that by just checking the open item management option was sufficient.

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

Check marks don't display after security update

I installed the most recent Security Update (2006-001) via Software Update, after which I noticed an odd behavior in iCal where my calendars and my To Dos both failed to display their check marks. I have repaired permissions, but that has not fixed the problem.
In fact, I'm a bit confused because it seems that iCal shouldn't have been affected by the update. It is possible that this is a result of the 10.4.5 update and I simply didn't notice earlier.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or have an idea about how to solve it?

what has most likely happend is that LDAP is unable to access the open directory password key. The either can't be read,found, or accessed.
Since the update the old LDAP passwords can't be verified but can be reset.
There is most likely some mis-configuration mostly likely some how dns or permissions.

Default a check mark in MARC_XCHPF during Create Material Master

We are changing the field setting for MARC_XCHPF to be mandatory for Material Type HAWA. Is
there a way in configuration that the check mark for MARC_XCHPF can be defaulted in during the
Material Master Creation (example: MM01, MMH1). Is it configurable in IMG or does it require an
user-exit.

if you want to make this field default and mandatory for only one material type then you need to choose this field and make it mandatory for this particular type. if you set this one for MM01 then it will be defaulted for all material types. to do this you need to select the field selection and then find the field and make it mandatory for this material type.
to achieve this use following path
img>>>logistics general>>material master>>field selection>>>Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens

No updatable devices found after firmware update

Unfortunately I didn't check here before doing the latest updates. I dl'd the following on the night of July 1:
2007-07-01 01:49:08 -0400: Installed "SuperDrive Firmware Update" (2.1)
2007-07-01 01:49:31 -0400: Installed "iTunes" (7.3)
2007-07-01 01:49:35 -0400: Installed "Safari 3 Beta Update" (3.0.2)
2007-07-01 01:53:02 -0400: Installed "Mac OS X Update (Intel)" (10.4.10)
2007-07-03 00:30:01 -0400: Installed "Audio Update 2007-001" (1.0)
Since then each time I restart the computer the SuperDrive Update launches and tells me no updatable devices have been found. But this machine has a SD, unless I'm very much mistaken. Why won't the update take? Is it related to the ex HD issues I've been reading about here with 10.4.10?
I also just looked at my sys log and it could be its own novel since these updates. I was going to post it in hopes it would help the Mac guys smarter than I, but I think it would flood out this post.
I am also having the internet drop issue, again only when I'm on battery power, but I understand that's a bigger issue than just my machine. My Safari windows seem to be hanging and giving me the spinning beach-ball a lot when I try to scroll.
I ran disk repair on permissions, that's all sorted out. I don't know what else to do to resolve the firmware update. Please help. Thanks!

And if I have a SuperDrive, which I do, why wouldn't the update apply to me and why would Software Updater have prompted me to download it in the first place?

Applying all update\patches during 'install software update' step

I have created software update group (around 10 updates\patches) and deploy it to 'unknown computers' collection. Ts 'Install software update' step scans through and only installs 2 updates out of 10. I have kept deploy property as 'required' while publishing
on 'unknown computers' and 'install software update' has 'All Software update' selected (other option is mandatory update'). I want to have all the 10 required update to be installed . any idea what should be the settings on 'deploy' prperty for software group
that install all the updates in the group during 'install software update' step? Any pointers will be appreciated

Yes , they need a reboot and reboot is happening automatically. I believe, once reboot is done, other patches should take over with installation. I don't see any information for another updates that are part of same software group. For these 2 succefully
installed updates log has below that indicates they reboot and finish.

Excisie duty updation problem during RG1 register update

Dear All,
During updation od RG1 register, excise duty has not been updated in Rg1 register. Transactional entry updated but Exice duty/ ecs/ CEss is showing zero value.
It happened with two materials only. all excise master data has been maintained for that material.
What will be reason ?

I hope you are using the std transaction J1I5 for RG1 Register update.
Normally we update the RG1 Register using the material documents.
So check whether for the material documents which you updated whether an excise invoice has been created or not ? because std - J1I5 transaction doesnt check the same.
If you have updated the RG1 register after creating the excise invoice for the above materials doc's then excise value will be updated in the same.
IF its not happening then check if any SAP notes are available.

Not Able To Print w/ Lexmark X2600 After Recent Airport Firmware Update

So, after the recent firmware update for the Airport Extreme (802.11n), I can no longer print to my printer share. The device is recognized in Bonjour, and I use the correct driver as I did before, but when I send something to the printer, it just reads:
"Connecting to MyNetwork.local...
There is a problem communicating with the printer. Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer. Delete or hold the job and try again."
Now, if I connect the printer directly to my computer and set it up with the same drivers over USB, it works just fine. Can I get some support on this?

Have you tried this?
To change the printer’s network settings:
1. Open the printer's embedded Web server.
2. Click the Networking tab. For wireless settings, click Wireless. For IP settings, click IP
Configuration.
3. Change the printer's settings to match the settings of the network, then click Finish.
4. Close the printer's EWS, then disconnect the Ethernet cable from the printer.
5. The control panel lights will cycle.
The previous procedure is from the Wireless Printer User Guide for your printer.

G4 700 freeze after 1 gig ram update, does it need firmware update?

Greetings Mac Users,
Mainly a PC user here so I will break it down as best as I can. I bought this iMac G4 700mhz with a hard drive failure for 15 bucks. I put in a Seagate 120gig-7200rpm-8meg cash, a new PRam battery, and OSX 10.4.11 Tiger (formerly OSX 10.1.5 stock). I was very surprised with how well the little thing ran. So I decided to upgrade the ram to 1 gig (2X512 sticks) from 384 megs. I went to a place called We Love Macs .com. They guaranteed their ram to work in my machine . . . which it does . . . in a way.
The computer recognizes the full 1 gig of ram in OSX 10.4.11. It even works for like three to five minutes . . . then it freezes. When I say it freezes . . . it windows 95 style freezes. Everything stops . . . the machine is not attempting to do anything.
With that being said I know the issue is the Ram. But since We Love Macs are mac people and I know the ram works, I find it hard to believe it is a compatibility issue (if it is the ram goes back). I feel this is probably a firmware thing. I am sure the Mac OSX 10.4.11 software updates do not update firmware (although I may be wrong, remember PC person here).
So . . . if it is firmware . . . where do I get it? The only firmware I can find on this site or on Google is for slot loading iMacs (which as I am sure you all know the iMac G4 700 is not). It seems like the internet is devoid of all iMac G4 700/800 firmware updates.
*Bottom Line:*
Are there firmware updates that will fix this problem and if so where are they OR do I need to send this ram back to the nice people at We Love Macs .com because of a compatibility issue?
Any assistance you Mac users can give me in this situation is most adequately appreciated. Please do not hold it against me that I am a PC user . . . if this iMac pans out one way or another with a full 1 gig of ram . . . I will be giving it to my elderly mother (she loves the thing). *BUT I PROMISE* that I will be purchasing one of the new Mac Minis and mount it on TOP of my PC Rig as my full time productivity machine. This G4 700mhz has shown me the light.

There is no firmware update involved, or available.
So, that should not be a cause of the issue faced here.
In those I've owned (well, only 5) that hasn't come up
as a user-upgrade issue or concern. And friends who
bought them when new, still own them, and upgraded
the OS X from original to Leopard 10.5 when possible,
have never needed (nor was it available) new firmware.
So, maybe it is the RAM configuration.

Software Update Failed - MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.4

Superdrive Firmware Update 3.0 fails each time, /Applications/Utilities/SuperDrive Update.app asks me to quit all apps and try again which I did but of no help. I also retried with a reboot. Help!

What are we talking about: EFI firmware update or superdrive firmware update? What generation of MB do you have? Was any update detected by Software Update? How does it fail? is there any message? hos do you proceed?

Airport Firmware update

I can't get my laptop connected to the internet. My airport password isn't even working now after the update. Do I have to reset the base station as it won't even show up (I tried to find it thru the airport utility)? Is this going to screw up my desktop computer so that it won't connect if the base station is reset?

If you can't use it, what choice do you have? If you reset it you should be able to reconfigure it using Airport Utility.
