Need ALV output in vietnamese language

i need to display an ALV output using vietnamese language, without accent.
can u tell me how to do this?

Hi,
I assume you want to display your data along with the column names & header in vietnamese. For this you have to translate the data if you have developed it in other language. You need to use text elements for the column names & header so that translation is possible. Please check if your SAP s/m provides Vietnamese language capability.

Hi expert,
Can you please let me know how can I see the output of a smartform in different languages. I'm seeing the output of a sales order. I have three output types . ZZAC,ZZ00, ZZ01. The smarform is developed with the language attributes of Translate into all languages. Is it required to convert the forms in SE63? or there are other ways we can see it.
I need the output in all the languages like FR,EN,DE,IT,ES ,EN etc.

HI,
Try This... hope it will solve your problem....
To maintain the translations:
1. Go to transaction SE63 in R/3. Go to menu Translation->R/3 Enterprise->Other Long Texts.
2. Select the object type in the pop up. Smartform (SSF) object type is found under Forms and Styles(FS).
3. Enter the name of the Smart form and choose the source and target language(Let the Source Language be 'EN'). Now Click on 'EDIT'.
4. This would open a screen with the Smartform code in Source language on the top and an editor with the same code in the bottom. Find the text for which you need to maintain the translation and insert the translation in that place.
As usual after required texts are maintained Save and Activate.
To see the translated Smartform create an output type and assign the smartform and the driver program to this output type. In the transaction that sends output to this smartform, select the output type and select the language in which the smartform has to be displayed (translations have to be maintained in this language).This will give the smartform in the required language.

I think it's not possible to show all field values in another Language (Eg Thai) But it's possible if it's short Text, Long Text etc

For that also you have to maintain it first in SE63..

hi,
you are passing the value to ALv using an internal table.
so store the format YYYYMMDD date in the internal table and pass it to ALV.
use the below FM
DD/MM/YYYY -> YYYYMMDD

Hi,
For sending the ALV output as PDF attachment, you can create a spool (proper page size in print parameters) and convert the spool to PDF using the FM CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF and then send the same as attachment in mail.
For send the data as HTML attachment, try the below FMs
WWW_ITAB_TO_HTML_HEADERS & WWW_ITAB_TO_HTML_LAYOUT to create the HTML layout
WWW_ITAB_TO_HTML to create the HTML for the actual data.

Vietnamese language PDF issue

Hi All,
I have developed a script for Vietnam in Vietnamese language.In print preview its displaying properly but if i download it as PDF that script displaying some strange text.
I translated the text in SE76 but that was not useful
Do we need to install respective adobe readers to see vietnamese language?
In the server VI language fonts are uploaded that i could see in the tcode I18N.

If yes, please upload the font as note 1433470:
The first prerequisite for proper PDF conversion to Vietnamese is the
installation of suitable TrueType fonts with report RSTXPDF2UC which support
special characters from the following Unicode ranges used in
Vietnamese:
LATIN EXTENDED-A
LATIN EXTENDED-B
LATIN EXTENDED
ADDITIONAL
The standard Windows XP fonts CourierNew, Arial, TimesNewRoman do not support
LATIN EXTENDED-B and LATIN EXTENDED ADDITIONAL and PDFs converted using these
Windows fonts will show boxes instead of some Vietnamese characters.
Most (but not all) required Vietnamese characters are contained in Windows XP font
Tahoma (it has no support for LATIN EXTENDED-B).
The standard Windows Vista and Windows 7 fonts Courier New, Arial and Times New
Roman contain all required Unicode ranges. So it is possible to use these fonts.
About the correction in this note, please see below:
Note: Below code correction is only necessary if you do not implement the
SAPscript/Smart Forms correction from note 1428440. If you have the correction
from 1428440 implemented, you do not need the correction from this note
described below for correct PDF output of Vietnamese.
Then please create the spool by PDFUC or SWINCF and take a test.
If the issue persists, please check whether you need to apply note "1645944 - PDF conversion: Font change not required".

The newly added field is not getting populated in the lv_fieldcat table. Tried running programs BALVBUFDEL,

Fieldcat is buffered - so use
I_BYPASSING_BUFFER = 'X'
Since a while CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is available which does NOT need any fieldcat (is determined internally using RTTI). It is worth playing around whith this class if you have some time. This class is recommended for ALV Output by SAP (but no edit is possible - was never supported officially).
A simple use would be:
data: gt_output type standard table of (adjust!).
*simple ALV output
data go_alv type ref to cl_salv_table.
data go_functions type ref to cl_salv_functions_list.
data go_columns type ref to cl_salv_columns_table.
data go_column type ref to cl_salv_column_table.

Negative sign for DMBTR field in ALV output

Hi Experts,
Before posting I have searched for more than 3 hours in the forums to get a solution for this.
I did not get any solution so I am posting this problem which I need to resolve.
I have to display the DMBTR field in ALV output for which a grand total will have to be displayed.
Here for all the values in DMBTR which are negative are getting displayed as '- 6673.56','- 289956.23' as I am using the edit mask 'V_____________.__'.
I have to get the value shown as '-6673.56', '-289956.23'.
I tried to use convert this DMBTR to String and have successfully displayed the negative sign correctly in front of the value but I am not getting the totals which I need to have
PLease check and suggest for a solution.

Hi,
If this is the case, then you can use character field to display the sign on the left. Sum up the total and use the event end of list to display the same. Remember to set the TECH and NO_OUT in the field catalog.

Strange behaviour in alv output display for a date column!

hi friends,
my alv output list display contains a column for budat (posting date), if this field has no value, then it displays a blank cell (space) in the output in my user login...but when the same report is run in another user login, even though the value of the column is null, it displays 00000000 (8 zeroes) rather than displaying a blank cell...i have set the field catalog property NO_ZERO = 'X'; is this property has anything to do with authorization to achieve its funcionality? am not sure...this is strange, as it is the same report, same field catalog that is being used..need some inputs on this

There are 2 solutions for an adhoc solution you can change the field to a char10 field, this will solve your immediate problem of the 0 display. For a permanent solution you can check the user profile setting for the date for you as well as the concerned user.

Runtime Error while summing a column in ALV output

Dear All,
I have developed an ALV Report and the report is giving output without any flaws.
I have defined proper field catalog and displaying the results using REUSE_ALV_GRID function module.
Now the report is generating Runtime Error while the user selects a column and click the SUM icon.
The fields like Qty, or amounts are also theowing runtime error while summing up their column in the ALV output.
What might be the reason and how to resolve this issu?

Downloading of ALV output to excel by asking the password

I need to down load the ALV output into the excel sheet. But the thing is that before going to download the output into excel sheet, the system has to prompt for password.once it happens then the user will enter the password and it should validate. if the validation is successful then the output should download to the excel sheet. This is the requirement, can anybody help me out regarding this.Please provide the function module names and sample code.

U can do it by feeling another internal table from the final internal table which u displayed...
suppose u want the record 5 to 12 then
LOOP AT itab FROM 5 TO 12.
Append itab to itab2.
ENDLOOP.
So now Itab2 contains record 5 to 12...
Logic:
Create one Custom Button ... Now For Sy-ucomm of that button... provide popup window with FROM and TO parameters...
Then using Loop... Endloop... select that much records form internal table to another internal table say itab2...
Now using GUI_DOWNLOAD or WS_DOWNLOAD or any other FMs and pass the internal table to this FM...

Notes
The logical expression specified after WHERE is analyzed once at entry into the loop. Possible changes of the second operand during loop processing are not taken into account.
While with standard tables all rows of the internal table are checked for the logical expression of the WHERE- addition, with sorted tables and hash tables (as of Release 7.0) you can achieve optimized access by checking that at least the beginning part of the table key in sorted tables and the entire table key in hash tables is equal in the logical expression through queries linked with AND. Optimization also takes effect if the logical expression contains other queries linked with AND with arbitrary operators.
