Need help with SELECT

Question

I have a table with two columns viz., ID and PRODUCT.
ID PRODUCT
1 LOANS
2 LOANS
3 MORTGAGES
4 MORTGAGES
5 BANK
6 CURRENT
I want to write a SELECT query which will fetch records with PRODUCT LOANS and MORTGAGES when the parameter passed is 'ASSETS' and fetch records with PRODUCT BANK and CURRENT when the parameter passed is 'ISAGO'

What is the problem you are facing with OR?
You can also use UNION
SELECT   *
  FROM   product_table
WHERE   product IN (DECODE (:param, 'ASSETS', 'LOANS',
                                     'ISAGO', 'BANK'))
UNION
SELECT   *
  FROM   product_table
WHERE   product IN (DECODE (:param, 'ASSETS', 'MORTGAGES',
                                        'ISAGO', 'CURRENT'))Instead of giving sample data and asking for a query, tell us your actual requirement. Is this the entire set of conditions? Do you want it in a single query? Can you do it in procedure or PL/SQL block?
