Need to create a REPORT

I need to create a kind of report, just like the one you can create in MSAccess, with data taken from a Jtable and also labels and text fields. I know nothing about how to make it. Can you give me some tips? Just know that I'm using Forte for Java.

I was thinking of a JTextArea, in which I should try to write all the informations I have, using it just like a Word page. Will it be easy, then, to print what's inside this JTextArea?

You may need to activate some additional business content if not already installed but there are a lot BI statistics you can report on. Have a look at this:

Yes, but it only has one generic Date column, no start date and end date. I can't use that twice in the prompt. Although I can specify it to be 'between', but I'm not sure I can pass values to both variables like that.
Currently I have used Campaign Start Date and Campaign End Date to enter values in calender format to the variables.

Need to create a report to show values for a particular date range

I have to create a report, out of which I need two columns : << Customer Value Variance and Churn Score Variance >> to show values only for a custom date range, which will be entered via a dashboard prompt.
These generic date columns are not present and cannot be added. I have to make use of Pres variables
What I have currently done is:
1) Created a prompt with 2 different date columns and passing those values into variables vStartDate and vEndDate. (I don't actually need those 2 column which I have selelcted, but I have taken those so that I can prompt the values in calendar format and pass onto the variables)
2) Created report with necessary columns, with 2 extra columns (hidden) as vStart Date Column and vEnd Date Column which take the values from the presentation variables defined in the prompt. I have created these columns as then I can reference these in the two required columns if necessary.
I am already facing error in report after doing this and I am confused how to proceed. Any suggestions?

Need to create a report with drop down option

Hi,
I have created a report with a simple query. Its a real time report.
select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
where target_type = 'oracle_database';
It gives me a tabular report. It works fine. But it is a huge report about 1000 rows. We can see a particular number of rows per page. Thats fine.
I need something else. I will select a particular target name from a drop down and the report will give me the result for the respective target only. Is that possible ? How to do that ?

Hello,
When you create your report, in the "general" tab, under Targets click on the first radio button named "A target will be selected by the report viewer when viewing the report" and under that choose target type="Database Instance".
Then in your report query, use the predefined variable ??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? to identify the target the report user will select at execution time; for instance:
select host_name, target_name, instance_name from MGMT$DB_DBNINSTANCEINFO
where target_type = 'oracle_database' and target_guid=??EMIP_BIND_TARGET_GUID?? ;

Need to create a report having 40 columns using XML Publisher

Hi XML Report Gurus,
I have a weird requirement. I need to create a XML Publisher Report having 40 columns. This report would be a CSV Report.
How can i create a RTF(Template) in MS-Word having 40 columns ?? I just cannot accomodate the columns, they start wrapping down.
Can i create a template in Excel and map the data columns to the Excel columns?
I can create a Oracle PL/SQL package and generate the output, but I want to know if I can achieve the same thing using BI Reports.

What I did, I had the column titles in the XML file as data, like
<COL01>Employee Name</COL01>
<COL02>Employee Number</COL02>
etc.
I did it this way because columns were variable, and up to the user to pick. If you have fixed set of columns, you still can include their names in the XML file, this way you will be able to display then as fields on the template.

There is an column of last sale date in OITM but that doesnt gives any data when you run a query. Basicaly client need to generate a report of Items with last sale date, is this possible SAP Business One?

you could use the stock posting list report with a suitable date range & select only AR invoices in the 'Expanded' options, then sort by posting date in descending order
This report can then be exported to Excel & all irrelevant transactions can be deleted, keeping only the first & second row for each item (Row 1 = Itemcode, Row 2 = last stock posting from AR invoice showing in the 'Price after discount' column).
Alternatively, you might explore whether an SDK solution may be created that runs the last prices report for all items.

I need to create a report using only one record

I have all this records in my database but i would like to create a layout where it will automatically fill it up with the information of a record i would chose.
example:
i got a list of over 200 hundred products and i would like to see in a personalized layout the complete report and characteristics of only the record selected.

assuming each record has a unique identifier (like an item number) you can use the function vlookup() to "pull" data out of the database table.
Beyond that it would be most efficient if you provided the firlds of your database and the layout of the report.

We're living in spread sheet you know what here! I'm trying to help out in the interim by rewriting some of these in Crystal Reports (I've never used it before). Can someone please give me some basic steps? Right now I'm using the version of CR that ships with Visual Basic 6. I can bring up a spread sheet in CR but CR does not find any tables to select from.

When I start up VB, I click on Project, and click add CR XI, (I have CR XI on this same machine) Right Click in one of the sections (Report header) select database, database expert, create new connection, database files, browse to your spreadsheet and select.

As you are using standard business content cubes, standard queries also available on that particular cube. Try to activate queries also and use.

It is within the table I believe (I'm not a DBA or a developer) since I created a BLOB column and then used the file browse feature to allow users to attach a resume to the table in order to be able to perform a search of the attached documents.
I'm just having a hard time pointing the link in the search results report to the document in the blob column.
The information on that page is great if you're trying to create a link to the document on the initial report.
But I created a query using Oracle Text to run a report that does a boolean search of the attached word documents in the table.
When it displays the search results, it doesn't create a link to the document and I can't figure out how to do it.
Here's a link the the instructions I used to create the initial search report with Oracle Text, mind you I only created the index and query, I didn't add in all the link data since they're using documents on websites and I'm using documents in a table.

Creating A Report need PHP MYSQl HElP

I have a table "officers" table two with 4 fields all with
variable char which will end up just being names. However, I need
to create a report that counts each the occurance of each name and
ouputs the name with the count next to it. The names in table
"officers" are concatinated from a first name field and last name
field in a separate table "persons";

I need to create a report that shows all the history of an employee's job title, date changed, etc., what Subject Area provided this detail?

Table needed to create report showing assigned changes

I need to create a report that will show me how many CRQ a user currently has assigned to him/herself. Is there a MDG table that can provide me with this info?
Any hints are highly appreciated!

If you go to your MDG inbox, you can see all the CR's that are "Created by Me", "To Be Processed by Me", "Processed by Me", and "All." Look at the logic behind this application "My Change Requests" and you should be able to figure out how to extract this data. One thing for sure, you don't need to re-invent the wheel as all the information is available; you just need to format it differently.
