Need to create mpeg4 simple profile 720X480

Hi,
I recently got a Sony head unit for my car. I see it has the capability of playing .mp4 video off of USB thumbdrives, but the settings for the videos are hard to achieve. I have tried After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, Quicktime, and Handbrake, and couldn't get it. For After Effects, everytime I set it to an mp4 simple profile, it would down rez the aspect ratio. (the aspect ratio wouldn't get altered if it was the H264 mp4, but it needs to be simple profile). For Handbrake, I set the right settings, but upon playback in the car, the audio would trail off within the first minute.
The exact specs I need are:
• Profile: MPEG-4 Simple profile*
• Bit rate: Max. 7 Mbps on USB FS, 10 Mbps on
DVD, 7 Mbps on CD
• Frame rate: Max. 30 fps
• Image size: Max. 720 × 480 pixels
• Audio: Max. 320 kbps (AAC-LC)
• File extension: .mp4
Can someone please help me out with this? I'm comfortable with the render que with After Effects, but I've never used Compressor before. My main goal is to be able to have the video at a decent bit rate to where it's completly clear and not pixelated / be able to skim through to half way through the movie and the audio is still entact and not off timing. Oh, and if a movie could be roughly around 1GB that would be an extra plus.

Toast allows MPEG-1 export. It is the format of VCD's (CD's that play in DVD players).
I have an export to Toast option in my QuickTime Pro dialogs that will export any of my QT file formats to .mpg
You can also use it to create a VCD (no need to burn the disc) and drag the blah.DAT file out to the Desktop. Renaming the file to blah.mpg is all you need to do.

Help needed in creating a simple paint application

I want to create a simple paint application using swings in java, i am able to draw different shapes using mouse but the problem is when i select some other shape it simply replaces the already drawn object with the new one but i want the already drawn object also, like appending, what should be done for this, any logic missing here or i should use some other approach?

I need to create a default profile that would install a home page and bookmarks for newly created users. It needs to be the same for Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.

Running a mix of Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) and Ubuntu 12.04 (32-bit). When a new user is created and logs in on either platform, I need that user to get a profile with a standard, predefined home page and set of bookmarks.

Use a .cfg lock file and the Client Customisation Kit addon.

I'm trying to create a form in Dreamweaver CS3, and while I have the form built I'm confused as to how to make it actually function. What I'm trying to do is create a form that when the visitor clicks submit, the data is emailed to me. Can someone help me figure out how to accomplish this?

Ute's answer is spot on - you need a FormMail script to process the form. Check with your host (or via the control panel) and see if they supply such a form for free.
If not, google for "formail script' and you'll find quite a few available - all free to use.
You just need to add a couple of lines to your html code, change a few things in the formmail script and the form will process. Sounds complicated but most scripts come with a help file to help you get off the ground.

That was what I was suggesting. If you are no familiar with secure web sites (and I am not), it is best to have that part handled by pros in that area. They also get to accept the liability in such cases (read any contract carefully). You may want to be sure that the page returned opens in a browser and not in Acrobat. The latter is probably not the best way to link to a secure site.

Help needed in creating a Simple Service

Hi, I'm a student studying java and would like to set up a simple SOAP service using J2EE and Apache Tomcat, but have fallen at the first hurdle it seems.
Here's my problem:
Whenever I try to use the SOAP admin tool to deploy a service, and I try to click on the "List" button, I get a compiler error when the browser is trying to compile "list.jsp".
It says:

The "my tasks" page or "my timesheet" are automatically filtered on the user currently connected. Unless you are using workarounds such as status manager or delegation, I see no way to bypass this.

Need Help for a simple Keypress to advance to next frame

Hi all,
I am pretty weak at Action script. I need to create a simple presentation that displays a bunch of photos. I want to be able to hit the space bar to advance to next picture. I am able to stop the playhead at the picture, but i want to advance to next labelled frame by hitting the space bar. Some help would be great.

Thanks for the quick response, I have a 4 pictures on 4 seperate layers. The starting keyframe for each picture is labeled "Slide 01"," Slide 02" etc. When i test movie, it automatically plays the first picture labeled "Slide 01". At the end that slides frames I have a stop action. When I hit the space bar, i want the playhead to jump to the next slide which it's start keyframe is labeled "Slide 02". It has a few frames to allow for fadeing in, and then a stop action on the last keyframe. And so on.
I entered your code and placed the goto and play event handler to jump to the next slide's keyframe which i labeled "Slide 02". I did get the following error:

ok, what you're learning right now is 101 unix, which is good. Unix is a good thing
now: the way unix works, and macos (which uses unix underneath) the files and folders work like a hierarchy.
the start of that tree is /
so, if you were to do:
cd /
(cd means change directory)
it will bring you at the highest branch of the file system.
cd /Users
will bring you to where all the users are.
to see whats in /Users you can use your friend ls command
ls means list files/directories
so:
cd /Users
ls -la
(the -la here means show all (even hidden) and long format (very verbose)) this flag is very optional.
you will see
fred
user2
for example.
if you want to see the desktop of user2 you would change directory to it then list the files.
for example:
cd /Users/user2/Desktop
Note that the files and directory are case sensitive, so, desktop is NOT the same as Desktop, or DESKTOP
ls -la
you should then be able to see everything in users2 desktop
you could have done as well the same thing in smaller steps, for example:
cd /
cd Users
cd user2
cd Desktop
this is the equivalent of cd /Users/user2/Desktop
So, for your file, i don't know where it was, but know that if you log in as user2, it will directly put you in
/Users/user2
which most likely the file you had created from the other user was in /Users/user1
if you copied all the files from /Users/original_user to /Users/secondUser
most likely yes, all your mail, bookmarks etc would be copied over.
so in your case.
sudo chown -R seconduser:staff /Users/secondUser
should work
Remember that if you start a path with the character / it means start from the root of the file system, at the highest top you can ever get.
so
cd /Users/fred
is not the same as
cd Users/fred
unless you were in / already
i know it may be confusing at first but it's actually very logical if you play with it.
to simplify, think of it that / means C:\ on windows
you can't go any higher than C:\ (in a way)
if you're unsure which directory you're currently in, you can always type:
pwd
it will tell you where you are.
for example:
cd /
pwd
this shows /
cd Users
pwd
this now shows /Users
cd /System/Library
pwd will show /System/Library
cd /
cd /Users
cd fred
cd Library
pwd will show /Users/fred/Library
unix can look very scary but it's actually vital and very necessary to do tasks sometimes that would take for ever to do via the windows. This is good learning.
so for the myfile you had created, i can't tell you where it is, at the time you created, if you can do a pwd command you'll know the path,
ls -la (this shows all the files where you are)
if you see myfile in the list
do a pwd
whatever is return, the real location of the file would be:
whatever pwd returned / myfile

- Define default values to certain metadata
- Make metadata editable, hidden, info only etc
- Allow the user to see only relevant metadata, for example you could have 50 metadata defined, but all you need for the user to input is 10 for say HR documents, you can show only these 10 metadata for the user to contribute
