NetworkManager: "association took too long"
I have been running arch linux on this laptop for a year now, with the broadcom-wl driver for my card. As of yesterday, WPA encryption stopped working.
Regular, non-encrypted wireless works fine - but WPA2 Enterprise encryption won't work, and the only message that I could see was 'Activation (eth0/wireless): association took too long.'

I did upgrade some packages yesterday, but I can't figure out what it could have been. My wireless was working on 9/23, and I restarted at least once that day. I tried downgrading 'python-mako', 'openconnect', 'python2-pyopenssl' and 'glib-networking' and restarting, but that didn't help.

Same here broadcom card and used brcmsmac driver. Fuck networkmanager, use wicd and wicd-gtk = flawless victory.

HP LaserJet 1536dnf MFP - Install operation took too long to execute.
I am running Windows XP. When attempting to install the full driver (print, scan, fax), the setup gets to 99% and then hangs. Eventually I receive the error message "An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use." There are no error codes. I have looked through various postings and searched the internet for resolutions. Have spent hours trying different ways but all have the same result.

Are you installing the printer USB, wireless, or Ethernet?
What method are you using to install (download or software disc)?
If download, which driver are you having problems with?
If the previous document didn't help, then it may be a startup-service preventing the installation from going through. Turn off your anti-virus software temporarily and follow the instructions in the link below on how do turn those services off and how to update the installer just during the installation process, and then let me know how it goes.

On a few occations I have observed the following warning the
the history files:
TRANS BEWARE Jul 7 12:29:40 Last flush took too long (314 msecs)
What does this mean? Is it an indication of something serious wrong

An install operation took too long to execute - wireless install of new printer
New printer, out of the box.
Every time I try and install the printer wirelssly using the CD Rom, it stalls at 99% install and returns message
"an install operation took too long to execute. this is a fatal error preventing product use." I have tried the following (in this order) with no success:
- Downloading latest driver (even though CD Rom install said I had the latst driver)
- Turning HP Smart Install off on the printer, removing the printer from Device Manager, rebooting and reinstalling
- Temporarily disabling firewall and virus protection software, removiremoving the printer from Device Manager, rebooting and reinstalling

I see by your post that the installation is stalling at 99%. Thank you for provided all the steps you have already taken.
I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
Disconnect the USB cable first.
Remove the drivers first from the Print Server Properties if you have a printer icon listed in the Devices and Printers window. Highlight the printer, across the top of the window, click on Printer Server Properties, on the Driver tab, highlight and remove the printer, LaserJetPro 200 clr MFP M276nw and any Universal PCL drivers.
Uninstall the software from the CD. Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Then start the installation again, immediately follow the steps in this document after connecting the USB cable please.
A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation.
Disregard the printer model. This should allow the software to fully install properly.
Test the printer.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

Unable to deploy apps to SharePoint: "Operation took too long"
Hi, I am currently developing a SharePoint application. Until recently I was able to deploy my application without any issues. However, I have been unable to deploy any custom application to SharePoint over the last couple of days. Installation of custom
applications now seems to hang for about 15 minutes before the server responds with an error message "The operation took too long." I am perplexed, as the deployment process has been working fine made I have made no major changes to my application.

This loop runs for around 5 times i.e. 5000 * 4 = 20000 and then errors out after that.
If size of my image is below 23000, it works fine.
Still do you think it is related to BFILE. Actually BFILE operation works successfully for around 4 times. -

Formulas in this table took too long to calculate so we cannot show you the results
Hello, I've been getting this message when I load the responses.
I do have calculations in the responses form, but they are relatively simple 'sum', a few 'if' statements and so on.
Also there are only 500 lines in the current response form, so I would not expect this level of calculation to prevent form loading.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
BR, PeteI think I have found a work around to my own problem and thpught I'd post in in case it either helps someone (or hopefully Adobe might fix the bug or advise me some other detail I had missed).
I made a duplicate copy of my form and responses and deleted formulae one-by-one (a painful process as each time it was taking several minute to respond to each deletion and refresh the screen).
The problem formula seemed to be a '=sum(D:G)' function that summed 4 columns. When I deleted that specific function the form suddenly started responding normally again.
I've now replaced the formula with a simple addition statement: '=D+E+F+G' and all seems well. -
File Path browse take too long time

I am new one and I just start learning and implementing labview program. Now I am develping data convertion program. My program purpose is
(1) reading data from input text file
(2) do data calculation and convertion as the required format.
(3) formatted data write to text file or Excel file.
(a) I use' file path ' from control palette. When I click on " browse folder" icon to choose the path of my input file or output file,it took too long to get there. I already tested and tested again . but I can't find the solution.
(b) when I write calculated data to text file or excel, for a big amount of data, text file is ok. excel sheet show error if data is over 65536 rows. I want to know how to create and add data to new excel sheet if current sheet is full

test3.txt 7 KBYour code needs a good cleanup. I suspect the reason that your File Path browse button doesn't respond quickly is because you don't have any wait inside your while loop. That means the loop is running as fast as it possibly can, even though you don't even have a file open to process, which keeps the processor busy and prevents it from doing anything else (like opening the file selection dialog). Try adding a 100ms wait somewhere in the big while loop.
It's good practice to keep your LabVIEW diagrams smaller than the size of your screen. You have a lot of bends in your wires, which makes them hard to follow. You don't need an enormous sequence structure outside of everything since it only has one frame, and in fact you probably don't need any sequence structures at all. In your for loop, use a shift register instead of reading from and writing to a local variable. Use the "Spreadsheet String to Array" function to separate your tab-delimited data; it will be much easier than the way you're doing it.
The 65536 row limit is in Excel. The easiest thing for you to do is to keep track of the number of rows you have written to the file, and whenever it reaches 65536, create a new file. Since you're writing to a text file there's no way to create a new sheet. To create a real Excel workbook with multiple sheets, you will need to look at the examples of how to use ActiveX to control Excel. -
OK, I have a huge problem with both FCPX and Compressor both taking too long to export a 2 min itunes.
I created a motion graphic project using Motion 5.0.7 - The project was 26 seconds long.
I opened the project in FCPX 10.0.8 and lengthened the clip to 2 minutes, thus slowing the project down. I then changed text and added some video clips to the generator / project into the drop zones.
There were 2 video clips, both no longer than 30 seconds.
I allowed FCPX to complete the render process, which took 10 hours.
I then exported / sent the project to Compressor 4.0.7 - to export to Apple TV3 in HD format.
I am using a rMBP 15" 2.3GHz i7 with 8GB RAM and running OSX 10.8.3
The video in total is 2minutes long, however Compressor estimates the encoding process to complete in 6hrs
I find this ridiculous to say the least - 10 hours for rendering and another 6hrs to encode before I can view the resulting 2 minute video clip ? Is this normal ?
I have all applications closed only compressor running.
I even tried sharing from within FCPX to export to iTunes 1080p - and it only ran to 15% after 5 hours . (at this point rendering and exporting was taking place at the same time) So I then allowed rendering to complete (10 hrs) , and now Compressor says 6hrs.

Within FCPX I was using H.264 Better Quality - and changed that to H264.Faster Encoding. Both however took too long to encode the final video.
In Compressor I used "Apple Device 1080p 10Mbps" - this also gave a long delivery time.
It has only been with this one project. To give more info, I was trying to create a 3D Motion Graphics template that I could use to promote a companies products. So the template would be usable in FCPX where I can edit just the text and add images customised for any company.
I tried doing all the editing in Motion - but Motion has too many keyboard shortcuts - so when I am editing the text boxes in motion, if I accidently forget to click on the text section within the inspector, and start typing, all sorts of shortcuts are pressed and I can't undo them. I have to close the project without saving, and start again. That's why I prefer to edit the text in FCPX - becuase I am "safer" with the shortcuts.
I'll try working on the template within motion, at a slower pace - to avoid "accidently" hitting short cuts, and see if it helps.
I only started using Motion about a month ago, so still getting used to how effects work.
I still don't understand why FCPX takes so long to render and export. With normal video footage, and adding simple transitions, I have no problems.
I'll also try doing a simpler template in Motion and see if it performs the same.

Program now takes too long to load...
When I launch the program now there's a LOT of disk activity (assuming it's looking for associated files) then after that there's the normal load time for the project I'm opening. Any ideas? Does the program have an optimization scheme? Thanks
It just now took 3 minutes 55 seconds to load a 1.40 MB ses file. All files probably total 5-600 MBs. A whole lot of effects. I have an AMD Athlon 4200 64 X2 Dual Core. 4 GB ram.
Waaaaaay too long. I hate to close the ses file when I'm through for the day cause I have to load it back in.
I have pk files turned off. I guess I'll have to turn them back on. I hate all those little files cluttering up my drive. I guess it's a trade off, though. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Thanks for the replies. -

I was expeting to get a larger value in LENGTHB(FIELD), but the values are equal. I can only insert 2000 characters from the application, so, I was expecting a LENGTHB 2x greater than LENGTH(FIELD). -

From time to time during the term of this Agreement, MDCH may modify supported transaction sets/formats. In submitting Transactions to MDCH, the Trading Partner agrees to conform to MDCH-issued provider publications and MDCH Companion Guides as amended from time to time. The MDCH Companion Guides, incorporated by reference herein, contain specific instructions for conducting each Transaction and as such supplement Implementation Guides issued under the Standards for Electronic Transactions mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as amended. The MDCH Companion Guides are not intended to be complete billing instructions and do not alter or replace applicable physician guides or other healthcare provider billing publications issued by MDCH or by other third party payers. The Trading Partner agrees to comply with the requirements set forth in the applicable MDCH Companion Guides. The Trading Partner, or its vendor, or other authorized technical representative responsible for EDI software will document Trading Partner Information, data formats and related versions, trading partner identifiers, and other information MDCH requires to receive and transmit specific Transactions supported by MDCH.</td>

<td class="LabelValue" align="left" height="32">Support.<br>
As to software, equipment, and services associated with each party's performance under this Agreement, the parties agree to provide support services sufficient for Transactions to be exchanged. Each party will assist the other in establishing and/or maintaining support procedures, and will complete appropriate problem determination procedures prior to contacting the other with a support related matter. The parties agree to use all commercially reasonable efforts to avoid and resolve performance and unavailability issues. Each party will perform remedial action, as requested by the other, to assist in problem resolution. Each party, at its own expense, shall provide and maintain the equipment, software, services, and testing necessary to effectively and reliably transmit and receive transactions.</td>

MDCH will log all Transactions for the purpose of problem investigation, resolution, and servicing. The Trading Partner is responsible for maintaining and retaining its own records of data submitted to MDCH. Trading Partners who are healthcare providers will ensure that electronic healthcare claims submitted to MDCH can be readily associated and identified with the correct patient medical and business office records, and that these records are maintained in a manner that permits review, and for the time period as may be required by MDCH or other third party payer responsible for claim payment.</td>

<td class="LabelValue" align="left" height="32">Proper Receipt and Verification for Transactions.<br>
Upon proper receipt of any ANSI ASC X12N Standard Transaction, the receiving party shall promptly and properly transmit a functional acknowledgement in return, unless otherwise specified. The functional and interchange acknowledgements must be accepted and reviewed, when applicable, to confirm the receipt of a Transaction. The ability to send or receive functional acknowledgements is applicable only to ANSI ASC X12N Standard Transactions. Additionally, MDCH originated outbound Transactions must be accepted and reviewed, when appropriate, to obtain MDCH's response to specific inbound Transactions. The acknowledging party does not attest to the accuracy of the data contained in the transmission; rather, it only confirms receipt of the transmission.</td>

Difficult to know where to start as I am self taught and do not know enough to really get around all the Navigating/Options/Downloads/ Updates and sublties.
I have several issues, most of which I was going to question at a later date but maybe this is a good time to do so as they may be inter-linked.
Mozilla Firefox has been very helpful - I am impressed by its good intentions - tells me that various things need to be done, updated ( which I have done to try to clear this slowness of this laptop ) M.F. keeps me informed and on my toes.
1. I changed to M.F. because I was being harassed to Download Internet Explorer 9 which I do not like - Internet Explorer 8 was becoming very too slow/kept crashing/hanging.
2. This affected Micrsoft word which also kept crashing/hanging.
3. Shortly after Downloading M.F. I also Downloaded "Trusteer Rapport" which also has some "hanging" issues.
4. I double click on the M.F. "shortcut" either on the Desktop or the Taskbar (bottom of my screen) then I wait - 60 secs is too long.
When I first downloaded M.F. it appeared within 5 to 10 seconds.
5. M.F. has started to "Hang", and occassionally dodge about from one window to another without my instructing it.....this never happened when originally Downloaded ( this also is happening to some of the websites I go to )
6. I'm now up S.Creek without a paddle - I've checked all the Hardware for Updates/ had diagnostics from Dell and Microsoft (all passed - working correctly) / removed several items from the Notification Area on the Taskbar.
7. With all these Downloads is there a connection here - could it Compatibilty?
8. M.F. has informed me of one Compatibilty issue with Kaspersky PURE internet protection - i.e. Kaspersky URL Advisor 9.1.0.124 is not Compatible with Firefox 5.0.1.
9. My laptop was new in 2008 - not exactly old - but maybe it is something in the computer.....?
I should be most obliged if you would advise.Firefox is comparable to other browsers in terms of time except in startup. It took 60 seconds before I saw Firefox reappear and another 12 seconds to see this tab among my 12 tabs that were open. I used "[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/restartless-restart/ Restartless Restart]" extension to close and restart Firefox. My laptop is a single core machine purchased Jan 2010.
I know I could improve the my startup time by changing the options on one of my extensions, Infolister, or more if I [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/infolister_listing_fx4.htm#extensions disabled all 78] of my enabled extensions then it would be a faster browser but wouldn't do much for me.
One of the things that was found was that all of those fonts that we have available slows down the start-up of Firefox. I don't know if we see any improvements in Firefox 4 or 5 based on that yet though.
If you install really large extensions on your machine, and it is difficult to see how large an extension is if it is not at addons, then you are going to have lots of problems. You always want to be aware of what is listed in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions Problematic extensions] and why it was listed to know if it applies to you.
At least your time seems comparable to mine. Often when I see someone "complaining" about their time, it looks more like bragging about how fast their machine is. -
I have been blocked from my own ITunes songs because my apple ID associated with too many devices
I cannot access songs from my own iTunes Apple ID because it says my iPhone has been associated with too many devices. I have to wait 90 days to access my own songs on my iPhone. Here is what happend:
1-Our family moved. So, with the address change, the credit cards on all of the apple ID's would no longer work because the other users had our old address. (I have 4 users in the family).
2-My family started calling me while I was out of town complaining that purchases were rejected. This was because our address had changed and it no longer matched.
3-I tried to walk them thru the process of changing the home address on the credit card, but they couldn't do it. They assured me that they were doing it correctly and were still rejected.
4-So, being the techie of the family, I simply logged into each of their iTunes accounts from my iPhone while I was out of town and made the address change. While I was in their accounts, I noticed they didn't have automatic downloads and iTunes match and stuff. So, I changed it so it would work for them when they logged back in.
5-I go back to log into my own account on my iphone and I cannot access my own songs on the iTunes cloud for 90 days!!!! This is quite disappointing.
How can I get this corrected? I tried to reset user settings (not a erase and reset). I figure it's not my phone, but my iTunes account thinks I'm doing something sharing-wise.
So, in summary, when I am on my iPhone and I go to my iTunes library and click on a song (that I have paid for) with the cloud and down arrow beside it, it's rejected. It says that I have too many apple id's associated with this device and I must wait 90 days. It counts down each day.
I just want access to the music I paid FOR!!Thank you-I will contact support.

I have to listen to never ending McDonald's latte commercials and progressive insurance. I have now banned both of those annoying businesses and will not make purchases there.
In summary, I have given apple my minded, and have zero to show for it.
Ps-you get to hear the McDonald's "love hate commercial" every 2 songs on iTunes Radio. I have substituted the words where I hate McDonald's and love when the commercial is over.
