Unable to deploy apps to SharePoint: "Operation took too long"

Hi, I am currently developing a SharePoint application. Until recently I was able to deploy my application without any issues. However, I have been unable to deploy any custom application to SharePoint over the last couple of days. Installation of custom
applications now seems to hang for about 15 minutes before the server responds with an error message "The operation took too long." I am perplexed, as the deployment process has been working fine made I have made no major changes to my application.

I am getting error at this line...
p_clob := p_clob || UTL_RAW.cast_to_varchar2 (UTL_ENCODE.base64_encode (DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR (l_bfile, ncurrent_pointer, l_step)));
This loop runs for around 5 times i.e. 5000 * 4 = 20000 and then errors out after that.
If size of my image is below 23000, it works fine.
Still do you think it is related to BFILE. Actually BFILE operation works successfully for around 4 times.

I am running Windows XP. When attempting to install the full driver (print, scan, fax), the setup gets to 99% and then hangs. Eventually I receive the error message "An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use." There are no error codes. If you cannot get the installation to install, did you try some of the steps in the link Shane_R offered in the previous post?
Are you installing the printer USB, wireless, or Ethernet?
What method are you using to install (download or software disc)?
If download, which driver are you having problems with?
If the previous document didn't help, then it may be a startup-service preventing the installation from going through. Turn off your anti-virus software temporarily and follow the instructions in the link below on how do turn those services off and how to update the installer just during the installation process, and then let me know how it goes.

I know you said your problem is different than the one mentioned above but I think these steps will be the same and hopefully get your printer installed. If it doesn't help, answer my questions above please so I can determine the next step to take.

An install operation took too long to execute - wireless install of new printer

New printer, out of the box.
Every time I try and install the printer wirelssly using the CD Rom, it stalls at 99% install and returns message
"an install operation took too long to execute. this is a fatal error preventing product use." I have tried the following (in this order) with no success:
- Downloading latest driver (even though CD Rom install said I had the latst driver)
- Turning HP Smart Install off on the printer, removing the printer from Device Manager, rebooting and reinstalling
- Temporarily disabling firewall and virus protection software, removiremoving the printer from Device Manager, rebooting and reinstalling

I see by your post that the installation is stalling at 99%. Thank you for provided all the steps you have already taken.
I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
Disconnect the USB cable first.
Remove the drivers first from the Print Server Properties if you have a printer icon listed in the Devices and Printers window. Highlight the printer, across the top of the window, click on Printer Server Properties, on the Driver tab, highlight and remove the printer, LaserJetPro 200 clr MFP M276nw and any Universal PCL drivers.
Uninstall the software from the CD. Touch the Windows key and the E key to access the computer window. Right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.
Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Then start the installation again, immediately follow the steps in this document after connecting the USB cable please.
A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation.
Disregard the printer model. This should allow the software to fully install properly.
Test the printer.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

What does this mean? Is it an indication of something serious wrong
with the HADB server?

NetworkManager: "association took too long"

I have been running arch linux on this laptop for a year now, with the broadcom-wl driver for my card. As of yesterday, WPA encryption stopped working.
Regular, non-encrypted wireless works fine - but WPA2 Enterprise encryption won't work, and the only message that I could see was 'Activation (eth0/wireless): association took too long.'

I did upgrade some packages yesterday, but I can't figure out what it could have been. My wireless was working on 9/23, and I restarted at least once that day. I tried downgrading 'python-mako', 'openconnect', 'python2-pyopenssl' and 'glib-networking' and restarting, but that didn't help.

Got error when deploying app to sharepoint online dev site

'Install app for SharePoint': Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
The App seems to be working just fine, just got this error whatever app i tried to deploy, even a simple sample app

Make sure you openmed Visual Studio as "Run as administrator". And you are deploying to SharePoint 2013 developer site and having full rights on it.

App store, second hand ipod - too long for title

Hi guys, sorry for the noob post!
I bought an ipod touch around this time last year, worked perfectly, no problems, got a bit bored and was scared to break it when doing sports so i sold it on and went back to my nano
Recently one of my friends offered me his old one for cheap, since he now has an ipad and an iphone. he just gave me it with all his apps on it and stuff.
I had previously purchased a couple of the games on the ipod, and played them quite a bit (namely angry birds) and just today tried to sync to my itunes library.
Is there any way I can sync this ipod, with all my app data for the apps I own, with my current itunes library? I dont fancy going back and 3 starring everything again.
basically, I want to add all my new music and keep my app data.

To get back you app data you need to restore your "new" iPod from the backup of your old iPod. This will erase it and replace the iPod contents with those in the iTunes library on your computer. Therefore, make sure that you have the app in the iTunes library too. You can redownload the apps at no additional cost as long as yur are signed into the iTunes account that originally purchased the apps. See:

The apps that came with the "new" iPod still belong to original owner. The license to use them did not transfer with the iPod.

Windows security always check failure when open new deployed app on Sharepoint site

Each time when I click new app which is deployed by VS2013, it will popup an windows security check form.When I using administrator account to login , it can't take affect.The check form will always be here because the account is not avaliable to this
app I think. I can use the account to do any operation in this sharepoint site, but just can't open this new developed app. Anybody know the root cause?

Did you use the same account with the App creator(the account which deployed the app)? You can use the app creator to check whether it works.
Could the other accounts access the apps? You can use the other accounts to check whether it works.
To quickly and accurately find the issue, you can check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS

Unable to Deploy App

Running 11.1.2.0
Getting the following error deploying a Planning app
ORA-03114: not connected to Oracle
Error Code: com.hyperion.awb.web.common.DimensionServiceException
I restarted all the webservices with no luck. I also restarted the server itself with all the webapp stuff on it with no luck
Note: I can connect to the aplication through Navigate/Planning/App and it opens and makes a connection with Essbase
EPMA is also running as I can open the Application Library and Dimension Library.
I just can't deploy or validate an existing app and I can't create a new app either
One other telling thing is that in Essbase I can't create a app there either. It gives me a error
Error: 1051419 Essbase Application [TEST] Registration Fails against the Shared Services Server with Error [Saving file to Registry failed]
I got to believe that some service isn't function or functioning properly but I can't find it.

Here is a way to solve your problem.
try to use
Runtime.getRuntime().load(absolute_library_path);
However, make a copy of the library you tried to load and name it uniquely such
as
append the current miliseconds.
After completed loading the library into the Runtime, new File(new_library_path).delete();
or you can try to use deleteOnExit() (createdTempFile instead).

What I have to do is stop the server, start back up and then redeploy.
This is
a very exhausing ordeal during development, and also leads to a not-very-flexible
situation for production.
Does anyone know if there a way to terminate this other classloader instance
while
the server is running?

HT4854 Unable to download Mountain Lion because it takes too long....

So far am unable to download Mountain Lion because it's taking so long that my computer goes to sleep then it stops downloading and I have to start all over. Says it takes 9 hours to download. This makes it almost impossible to get the product downloaded. I'm very frustrated and would like to either be able to get it done or get my money back.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to go to Energy Preferences and set computer to
never sleep until you finish your download. Then you can
re-enable it.
BTW, since it takes that much time to download, when the
download completes and the install dialog comes up, cancel
the install and save the installer app to a safe place (USP memory
stick, external drive, etc.) so you don't need to download again
in the future.
After you have save it, then you can run the installer by just
double clicking the app in Applications.

Sharepoint webpage take too long to request

see the network record by browser:
wait =< 1, start = 16, request = 61.667, response = < 1, gap = 2.12, this is for sharepoint 2010 public page with pagelayout on windows server 2012, but same page on windows 2008 server is faster, takes 5 secs, but here takes 61 secs.
any suggestions?

Formulas in this table took too long to calculate so we cannot show you the results

Hello, I've been getting this message when I load the responses.
I do have calculations in the responses form, but they are relatively simple 'sum', a few 'if' statements and so on.
Also there are only 500 lines in the current response form, so I would not expect this level of calculation to prevent form loading.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think I have found a work around to my own problem and thpught I'd post in in case it either helps someone (or hopefully Adobe might fix the bug or advise me some other detail I had missed).
I made a duplicate copy of my form and responses and deleted formulae one-by-one (a painful process as each time it was taking several minute to respond to each deletion and refresh the screen).
The problem formula seemed to be a '=sum(D:G)' function that summed 4 columns. When I deleted that specific function the form suddenly started responding normally again.
I've now replaced the formula with a simple addition statement: '=D+E+F+G' and all seems well.
