New PO type - IMG settings

Hello All,
I need  to create a new PO type (purchase order type) in SAP.i need to know the steps to register the same in IMG settings.
Please can anyone let me know which all configurations i need to do and how?
As of now i have just created the entries in IMG at following places,
1) Materials Management->Purchasing->Define Number Ranges.
2) Materials Management->Purchasing->Define Document Types.
I am sure there are few places to be configured.Please suggest.

Go to SPRO -- MM --Purchasing -- PO -- Define document type (copy from any std)
then Go to SPRO  SPRO -- MM --Purchasing -- PO -- Define Number Ranges (define no range)
and assing to
Go to SPRO -- MM --Purchasing -- PO -- Define document type (copy from any std) at Number range in the case of internal number assignment
for creen sttings check in document type what you have enterended in feild selection you can create of your own also
then Go to SPRO  SPRO -- MM --Purchasing -- PO --Define Screen Layout at Document Level and make ur required settings

    Do I need to make changes in IMG after creating a new output type in NACE for a purchase order smartform?
    I have customized a purchase order smartform according to the requirements and copied an existing output type and assigned the custom form name.
    When I am trying to create a purchase order to test it, I am going to the message tab for assigning the output type and if I press F4 on the output type field or if I give the copied output type there, it says output type is not defined.
    Do I need to make any changes in SPRO?

    Yes. You have to add the new output type to the proper message determination schema.
    Go to the IMG and select Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Messages -> Output control -> Message determination schemas -> Define message schema for purchase order -> Maintain Message Determination Schema: Purchase Order.
    Select the proper schema, then Control Data and insert your new output type into the schema (eventually with any requirement that may be necessary... you probably want to use 101 like in case of the regular NEU message).
    This should do it.

  • Where should we define Stock type in IMG Settings ....

    In  Mi03 transaction, if you go and edit the transaction displays material, material description followed by Stock Type,  where should I define stock type in IMG settings so that the list will display in the scroll bar. Will anyone guide me.

  • Pricing: New condition type not getting listed in options in product master

    Hi,
    I have created a new pricing procedure and also created a new condition type for it. I am trying to create a condition record in the product master for this  condition type but the condition is not there in the list of conditions. How can I inlcude it in the condition list?
    Even the new condition type I have created by copying 0PR0 is not getting listed in the options, whereas 0PR0 is getting listed.

    you need to enhance the condition maintenance group in the customizing, which is assigned to the product master. Please check: IMG: Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Products -> Special Settings for Sales Operations -> Assign Condition Group to Application CRM and IMG: Customer Relationship Management -> Master Data -> Conditions and Condition Technique -> Condition Technique: Basics -> Create Maintenance Group.

  • Creation of new Print Program & Variant for new Correspondence Type created

    Dear Friends,
    I have created 2 new Correspondence Types in SAP as SAP61 (Vendor Debit Note) & SAP62 (Vendor Credit Note) by copying SAP09 (Internal Document) properties like itu2019s Name of the print program - RFKORD30 & Name of variant - SAP09.
    We are facing problem when we execute print program in F.64 for SAP09 it is coming same like SAP61 or SAP62. Actual script & print values of SAP09 are replaced by SAP61 or SAP62.
    Please suggest us how we can differentiate both SAP09 & SAP61/62. Because we use these correspondences for different purposes like SAP09 gives the information for the Line items in the Document whereas SAP61/62 gives the information of vendor line item weather it is debit or credit entry.

    Check 'Form ID' field in this IMG transaction against the program and form that you have created.
    I am assuming there are 2 lines with same entries but different form IDs.
    Or there are 2 lines with the same entries but different CoCodes (seem to remember that the CoCode is not taken into account as a key in certain programs - not logical i know but remembered a previous issue I had many moons ago - could be to do with the blank entry for CoCode field if there is one being picked up by the program before the entry that has your CoCode).
    Now check the variant attached and Form ID in step 'Created new program variants in SA38'
    Ensure the correct program and variant are attached in step OB78.
    My assumption is Form ID is the key.

    Hello SAP Folks,
    I have one issue related to pricing. See the case is i have to produce an extra cost in the Sales Order which is actually depended
    upon the net price. This condition type is percentage based and calculation works in the following way:
    Let the new condition type be Z123 and Net price be PR00.
    So for year variation 1-2 year, the condition type Z123 will be 1.5 times of PR00
                                      2-3 year, the condition type Z123 will be 2.0 times of PR00
                                      3-5 year, the condition type Z123 will be 3.0 times of PR00
    Can anyone throw light on how to configure this condition type ???

    For Z123 Condition type make (V/06)
    Cond. class A Discount or surcharge
    Calculat.type A Percentage
    Plus/minus A Positive
    and all other settings are same as Discount condition Type
    For making Z123 customize an Discont Condition Type (EX:K004,)
    Then while creating the condition record give the percentage as 150% 1-2 yearin valid from and to date,
    give the percentage as 200% 2-3 yearin valid from and to date, give the percentage as 300% 3-4 yearin valid from and to date, and save the record. (VK11)
    In the pricing procedure For step z123 condition type from which you want the % that is step of PR00 should be mentioned in the FROM and TO column.(V/08)
    This will result as per your requirement

    Is it possible to create a new movement type same as 101 (goods receipt)?  We need to create a separate movement type of 101 for the purpose of separating G/L account to be used for local and importation purchases.  Or is there any other way to separate the G/L account for GR of local and importation purchases without creating a new movement type?

    You can create new Mvt type by copying Mvt type in OMJJ trxn ..
    Please follow the following steps
    Check whether you can use the preset movement types.
    If not, define new movement types as follows:
    1.  Once you have carried out the activity, the system displays a dialog
        box for field selection. In this, you can restrict the movement
        types you work with to various fields. To copy a movement type,
        select the field  Movement type and choose Continue. The dialog box
        Define work area appears.
    2.  In the dialog box Define work area, enter the movement type you want
        to copy in the From: field. In the To: field, enter the name of the
        new movement type you want to create. To go to the overview of the
        selected movement types, choose Continue.
    3.  Select the movement type you want to copy, and choose Edit -> Copy
        as.
        Overwrite the selected movement type with the new movement type
        (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z) and copy all dependent entries.
        The system copies all control indicators from the reference movement
        type to the new movement type.
    4.  Check all views for the new movement type and, if necessary, change
        the control indicators. Please note that some views have a detail
        screen.
    5.  Copy the reversal movement type and enter it in the view
        Reversal/follow-on movement types.
    6.  Save your settings.

    You can create a new output type using the path
    IMG->SALES AND DISTRIBTION->BASIC FUNCTIONS->OUTPUT CONTROL->OUTPUT DETERMINATION->OUTPUT DETERMINATION USING CONDITION TECHNIQUE->MAINTAIN OUTPUT FOR SALES DOCUMENTS--->
    There you can define the condition types and the access sequence
    Or else directly goto the transaction code NACE where you can define all at once , even the condition records.

    Hi Kovela,
    I haven't come across any IMG activity which allows to create a new product type in CRM. Why do you want to have a separate product type. It is not so easy to create a product type because you also need to create additional attributes and set types. In general all existing product types are stored to table COMC_PR_TYPE. Also you need to maintain a separate structure (COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API) for each product type.
    Why don;t you enhance the existing product type by creating new attributes and set types as per your requirement.

    To copy a standard WT and assign a new name with the same attributes and characterstics:
    IMG > Personnel Management> Personnel Administration> Payroll data> Recurring Payments and Deductions. Copy any standard Wage Type.
    Check assignment of WT to a Symbolic Account :
    (The WT will inherit the Symbolic account from the copeid standard WT)
    Go through SM30 to Table V_T52EL_NOFM. Make neccessary changes to the Symbolic account, if needed.
    To create a new Symbolic Account and assign it to the WT:
    Payroll --> Payroll (country) --> Posting to Financial Accounting --> Activities in the HR-System --> Employee grouping and symbolic accounts --> Define symbolic accounts
    To assign the WT to the new symbolic account (same as table V_T52EL_NOFM):
    Payroll --> Payroll (country) --> Posting to Financial Accounting --> Activities in the HR-System --> Wage Type Maintenance --> Define WT posting attributes
    To assign a symbolic account to a G/L or Check the assignment of Sym Acc to G/L:
    Payroll --> Payroll (country) --> Posting to Financial Accounting --> Activities in the AC-System -->Account Assignment --> Assign expense accounts.

    You can create Movement Type  with numbers starting with digit 9 or beginning with Z or  X or  Y alphabet  folllowd by number ( for example: Z01,Z02,Z09 etc)which you can differentiate  standard Movement Type   with customised Movement Type  .

  • How to activate New Correspondence Type

    Hi,
    I have created a new correspondence type in the following manner:
    1)Define Correspondence Types
    2)Create Report Variants for Correspondence
    3) Assigned programs to correspondence types
    4) Defined Forms for Correspondence Print.
    I have posted a document through FB70.
    When I go to FB03 and display the document so posted and select Environment and Correspondence I am unable to see the New Correspondence that I created.
    Please let me know if I am missing any configuration.

    There is requirement where in I need to generate an invoice through FB70 as we won't be using SD billing.
    In this process I am trying to activate the Correspondence. I have a particular format of the invoice. These are the steps I followed.
    1) IMG-Financial Accounting-****-Correspondence-Define Correspondence Types
    Here I checked the the Doc.necessary option. Should I also select the Acct required?
    Please let me know what other fields do I have to select here.
    2) IMG-Financial Accounting-****-Correspondence-Create Report Variants for Correspondence Types
    Not sure what Config needs to be done here.
    3) IMG-Financial Accounting-****-Correspondence-Assign Programs for Correspondence Types.
    I have assigned the Print Program name here.(Driver program as my Abaper calls it or is it different?)
    4) IMG-Financial Accounting-****-Correspondence-SAPscript-Based Forms
    I have assigned the Print Program name/Drive Program name and the Form to my company code.
    After this I posted FB70 Invoice. Went to FB03 display and selected Correspondence from the Environment. But I cannot see the correspondence that I have created.
    Please let me know what else needs to be done.
    Immediate help is very much appreciated.

    Hi,
    Movement type determines the treatment of any Stock in terms of Qty & Value. SAP has provided the standard MVt type for use in  different business scenario.
    How a Mvt Type Works  is important to understand the requirement of new Mvt type -
    a. in material master we are assigning the Val. Class, We are assigning the GL a/c  with Valuation class in combination with General account modifier in OBYC like GBB >> VBR>> ValClass>> GL A/c.
    b. Each valuation class is linked to multiple General account modifier Key and GL a/c (as per our business requirement).
    c. Each movement type is assigned with Account modifier key in IMG Customising.
    So when ever we enter a material & Mvt type in any transaction system determine the GL A/c to be for Automatic posting through Account modifer Key (From OMJJ & OBYC).
    So you can see, there is limitation of GL assignment for automatic posting in OBYCfor each business scenario.
    if requirement of diff. accounting arises for a material with same valuation class, we need to Create new Mvt type & Account modifier key. This new Account modifier key will be linked to New GL in combination with Val. Class.

    I have arequirement where the PO's and PR's are mapped from APO to R3. The requiremtn is the PO mapped should not trigger release strategy. But our release strategy is defined on Doc type/POrg/Value.
    So, we suggested for creation of new document type. This document type will not have release stragegy.
    Now, the PO coming form APO will be ampped to STO in R3. What all configuration needs to be maintained?

    Your understanding to exclude document types from release strategy is correct.
    For STO Configuration, go to the following:
    If the document type created in for Intra Company then in Doc type config against your doc type put T in the Control Colum, if its inter company then this is not required.
    Next go to - Materials Management à Purchasing à Purchase Order à Set Up Stock Transport Order à Define Shipping Data for Plants
    Here you assign the Sales Area Data for the Plant.
    Next go to Materials Management u2192 Purchasing u2192 Purchase Order u2192 Set Up Stock Transport Order u2192 Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule
    Assign Delivery type NL for Intra Company STO and NLCC for Inter Company STO to your Doc Type.
