No deactivation choice

Hi,
I'm moving Creative Suite 3 Design Premium to a new iMac. Installation went fine but when I go back to the old computer to deactivate CS3 there is no such choice under the help menu. It's an academic volume license if that matters. We're using all of our licenses so I need to deactivate.
Suggestions?

The existence of activation/de-activation depends upon the license. Some
of the volume licenses do not require activation, hence no de-activation.

In BI 7, how to reload a red request into a DSO without deactivating delta?
I have a red request in DSO A. I have corrected the Transfer rules and want to reload the request from PSA to DSO A. I have active delta from DSO A to DSO B.
The only way I have found to reload the red request into DSO A, is to delete it first (like in BW 3.5). The problem then is that the system then gives me no other option than deactivating the delta from DSO A to DSO B. I then have to re-initialize delta from DSO A to DSO B with data transfer. Of course I first have to delete the data content in DSO B. I cannot do this because DSO B is very large. A reload would take several days.
I have tried to reload the request from PSA without first deleting it from DSO A, but DSO A is not a valid target in the scheduler unless I delete it from DSO A first.
This scenario must be very common and there must be a very simple solution, I just cannot find it.
Any one who can help me?

Regarding your questions,
Have you already tried to delete the red request and reconstruct it ??
If the system gives you no choice beside delete delta ODS A to B, how about if you keep deleting the delta from ODS A to B, but after that you re-initilize with the option : no data transfer.

Now, when I launch Lightroom, my choices are to enter a serial number to continue the trial. On the adobe website, it says "You can convert your trial to a Creative Cloud complete or single-app membership by purchasing on the Creative Cloud website. After you purchase your membership, your desktop product trial will automatically be licensed upon relaunch." But this is not the case. I do not want to risk losing my catalog and the work I have already done in Lightroom, so what should I do?

Deactivating devices?

Is there any way to make sure a built-in device is deactivated? Let me explain: in my netbook (Samsung NC10) if I run powertop one of the causes of wakeups is the builtin webcam, which 99% of the time I'm not using (and the module is not loaded). In another laptop (Lenovo T500) I have two built-in graphic cards, one intel on-board which is the one I use in linux and one discrete ATI which I use for the occasional gaming in windows. If I activate both graphic cards in the bios the battery life of the laptop is reduced roughly to one half, although I am only using the on-board card. Is there any way to deactivate these devices so that they do not consume any power?

I have too a thinkpad T500 and for the graphic card I disable it in the BIOS.
In many places (forums and wiki) I read that to disable a hardware, the choice was not loading the driver. I think that figure is wrong (would be good to correct this concept in the corresponding articles in the wiki).

I think the best way to solve this is by telling the driver to activate the energy saving. Or turn off the hardware in the BIOS

IMessage is not working when camera is deactivated with parental lock, this makes no sense, does it?

Hello, when you deactivate the camera with the parental lock, it will deactivate iMessage imediately.
It seems that the deactivation of Facetime, witch is deactivated automaticly after the deactivation of the camera, leeds to the problem.
Because I have to turn off the camera due security restrictions of my working place, my camera is always deactivated.
So it was impossible to activate iMessage after installing iOS 5 on my iPhone.
After reactivation of the camera iMessage activation was possible.

I would definitely recommend you contact eBay about the issue and let them know! As an eBay seller myself, I attempt to make sure all the products I'm selling are in good condition and will be able to be used by someone else. It is awful and rude to sell a product such as a smartphone that is gravely important and have it not work. The reason it's not working with your account is because the phone was previously activated on the seller's account. (One phone at a time rule*). In order for you to start fresh and new you need to get in touch with someone from eBay and have this seller reprimanded for causing you so much trouble. I myself have considered purchasing tech items from eBay and Amazon and as good as the seller's ratings may be, that does not qualify them to be able to sell to just anybody. Unfortunately you received a "lemon" phone - AKA it doesn't work like they promised. Once the seller has been contacted by eBay customer support, your next step will be to go to Verizon and tell them exactly what happened.
I bought the phone I have now from Wal-Mart and I promise you I will never do that again. Within 3 months, the phone was completely dead. It may be cheaper and it may sound great but 3rd party sellers are NOT recommended by me personally. It's nothing personal against you I'm not trying to discourage your spending choices but trust me, you do get your money's worth if you buy direct. Plus, if something is wrong with the phone Verizon can't really help you out because they have no clue what software you're running on or how up to date it is. Just some friendly advice from someone who has done it before. Hopefully this will not happen to you again. I know first hand it can be quite frustrating and I empathize with you. Getting Photoshop CS3 deactivated to re-install

We've had Photoshop CS3 running on two machines successfully for several years, one of the PCs was updated to Windows 7 yesterday but we couldn't find a 'Deactivation' option either. Support today claim the serial number is not valid and will do nothing further to assist us without proof of purchase which to no avail we can not find, the member of staff who made the purchase no longer works for us so we're not even 100% where we purchased it from but as far as I can tell from the packaging it's a Genuine Retail version which we had no problems installing when first done or in a subsequent install following a previous machine upgrade.
Unable to find the invoice I was looking into the monthly Photoshop CC subscription and noticed the two prices for existing customers and new and to my suprise when I enter our serial number to verify as an existing customer up pops 'Congratulations, your eligible' or words to that effect. So how can customer support claim the serial is invalid if its eligible as an existing customer?

If you really need that deactivation. Insert your DVD-rom and you should have a repair option. Repair it and the Deactivate should be visible. I've tried that on Acrobat Pro when "deactivate" was dimmed out, it should also work on Photoshop'
Uninstall/reinstall from Software and Programs in the Control Panel should do the same thing on your old setup if you do not see repair.
I'm not sure since it's been awhile, but the uninstall from the Control Panel might have a repair choice.

What specific disc menu theme or themes are associated with this program failure? What is the exact place where the problem hit..
a. just clicking on Disc Menu header
b. dragging Disc Menu from the display of themes into the Disc Menu area customization screen
c. selecting your menu in the display of choices and then hitting Apply

Are you running Premiere Elements 10 from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?
Is this a "it worked before but not now" or "it never worked before" type issue.
On the Windows side of things, application of Run As Administrator as well as the User Account with Administrative Privileges has been know
to resolve some of these issues. I am strictly an Elements Windows user. What is the Mac side of the story for Run As Administrator? At any
rate, are your computer permissions in order?
Just to cover all bases, do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 10?

I have DeActivated my Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and wanted to verify last night .... but chat Tech seemed to misUnderstand and Activated it. Now, I am giving to a friend to use since I do NOT use it anymore. I have also Uninstalled it from my Mac.....and I do NOT want to re-install just to DeActivate again. Question: I do not want the friend to have major issues inStalling it. Will there be a problem? It is a LEGAL PURCHASED COPY licensed to me under me. The chat tech did not seem to understand that I was just verying suspend Activation. Please Help! Thank You!

This is a user-to-user forum, so no one here would be able to do anything about the issue, but logically, it seems you have two choices: 1) install and deactivate which seems much easier than calling Adobe if you still have the serial number, or 2) call adobe and tell them you can’t deactivate and you need them to because you need to transfer it to a new computer. It is a common problem to have a computer crash and not be able to deactivate through the software, itself. You’re allowed to activate it on two computers at once, as long as only you use it and not at the same time. I wouldn’t call Adobe just to VERIFY it has been deactivated.
If you’ve used the PSE9 serial number to install an upgrade-priced PSE10/PSE11, then you can’t legally give it to someone else because you’re still getting the benefits of that version, yourself. If you’ve paid full price for each version then it probably doesn’t matter although you might want to check the terms-of-service and licensing agreement to be sure.

CS3 deactivation missing

How can I move CS3 Design Standard license to another computer? There should be choice for deactivation in the help menu but it is missing.

Interesting that the ghosted version thinks it's legal!

No WPA2 choice on tiger?

I just restored my old PowerBook G4 from Leopard down to Tiger. However, when i try to connect to my WPA2 encrypted network, the only choices are:
WEP Password
WEP 40/128 bit-hex
WEP 40/128 bit-ASCII
LEAP
What gives? In Leopard I could easily select WPA2 and connect, so it's obviously not my wireless card or any other hardware. Does Tiger just not support WPA2? Thanks.

You need to upgrade to 10.4.11 for WPA security.
If you have an Airport Extreme/Time Capsule you can active the guest network temporarily to upgrade to 10.4.11 then switch to your normal WPA2 network and deactive the guest.
With other routers you will have to temporarily turn OFF security whilstcyou upgrade'

I forgot to transfer pictures to my computer from my Tour 9630 before deactivating it. Now, my computer doesn't recognize the phone when I hook up the cable to my computer's USB port.
Is this normal, or should I still be able to transfer pictures?

Looking at the pc to your My Computer folder you should see the device media memory as a connected or removable drive.
If not then disconnect and on your BlackBerry go to Options > Memory and enable the choice for Mass storage on the media memory.

How can I delete an iTunes account that has been deactivated?

I deleted an old Apple ID with the help of a call to Apple Support. However, my iphone is still trying to use the old ID. How do I log out of the old ID and into the new? Or, how can I delete the old ID when it has already been deactivated? (Cannot delete with phone)

Have erased hard disk and when I went to fresh instal Mavericks OSX 10.6 (it gives me no other choice in the disk utility program) It says in the Apple Store, it is unavailable. But because this is done from disk utility there is no operating system or access to choose another OS eg Yosemite. I cannot download anything using my iMac as that came ready loaded with Yosemite, so it does not show as a purchase. I do not want to use the Time Machine backup as that has all my details, apps etc. in it. Would the best way be to purchase a disk containing Mavericks the OS that was on it most recently. You need to re-install the OS the computer shipped with using the disks that were supplied with the computer. Contact Apple Support and have the serial number of your computer available. They will send you new disks for a small fee.
