No Maintenance Cycle is open for current system

Hi Experts,
We are facing a peculiar problem in ChaRM implementation.
We have successfully created the maintenance cycle .But when we try to create change transaction & get it approved then it is showing an error : " No Maintenance cycle is open for current system".
We have checked all the configuration like STMS & system landscape too. All are working fine.
Any help will be appreciated.
Pooja Mittal.

Hi,
you might have different reasons why it is not working
1 check the status of the tasklist (or cycle) and of your project (service desk document) (via SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN)
2. check your authorisation for project
3. check the subject code of the change request (Implementation or Maintenance project ?) check
CRMD_ORDER on your change request
4. check the type of project you have activated (should match the above subject code) via SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
5. check the target system of your change request : it should be a  productive environment
I hope it helps

  • No maintenance cycle is open for the current system

    Hello!
I have problems to use CharM functionality due to following error:
<b>No maintenance cycle is open for the current system</b>
The error arises when I try to set a urgent correction in status "In Development" I get the following error, menwhile I have an valid maintenance cycle active.
I use CharM functionality for the solution consisting of an single system with two clients:
SRM:000 (as DEV-system) (system role: source system)
SRM:100 (as PRD-system) (system role: target system)
    - No maintenance cycle is open for the current system (meanwhile I have a valid maintenance cycle created and activated).
Futhermore I get the additional warning:
IBase component is not a productive system in system lanscape
Can some help me with this issue?
    Thank you very much!
    regards
    Thom

    Hello Kriti,
thank you very much for your response.
Unfortunately I also thought about it.
Basically my CharM procedure looks as follows.
I send the message from productive client (I have only one system with client 000 and 100)  to Service Desk in SOLMAN.
There I can see the IBase of the productive client.
Then I create a urgent correction by assigning IBase to this IBase of productive client. It is also possible to change the IBase in change mode, so I have tried all the possible values of IBase and get the same error.
My problem also is that I have multiple values of IBase assigmenets, it means one system has multiple assigments to IBase components.
I do not know how to delete/cut these settings....
Thank you for your further help!
    regards

  • Charm implementation: No maintenance cycle is open for the current system

    Gurus,
I'm in implementation project to use charm.
I've created SDCR using charm_create, and choose transaction type subject "Development (implementation)"
After approving the change request, so that the status become "Approved", I re-open the request to set into "in development", but there's error:
"No maintenance cycle is open for the current system"
I've checked notes and search the forum but not relevant to my subject.
    Please help.
    Regards,

    Hi Cesar,
I'm facing this issue now. I have followed Dolores blog
    - The IBase is wrong: The IBase/component must represent the production system in the project landscape. RP1 is my production
    - Lack of authorizations: Assign role "SAP_SOCM_ADMIN" or "SAP_CM_ADMINISTRATOR_COMP" (or equivalent) to the user who would like to approve the change request. I have updated all roles and given the users SAP_ALL
    - Project is locked in table /TMWFLOW/PROJMAP: If an error is detected during the processing, then the project might be locked in this table. The customer can unlock it by pressing the refresh button under tab "System Landscape" -> "Change Requests". If there are other error messages shown during the refresh process, the customer must fix those errors beforehand. Refreshed it many times without errors
I'm on the latest level of Solman 7.1 SP8, I have implemented all the new notes as well.
    I have attached a screenshot
To me it seems like a bug, but haven't found anything on marketplace. Any help is much appreciated.
    Cheers

  • ChaRM Error - "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system"

    Hello All,
I am setting up ChaRM in development system after EGI session with SAP support. I have copied standard transactions to custom ones and created Maintenance and Implementation project to run test of all scenarios.
I now come across error of "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system" after I create a change request and in the change document, I cannot see it link with task list and the error message is displayed. I tried it with custom transaction as well as standard SAP transaction (SDCR) and get the same error.
What links a document to a maintenance cycle? Where can I see the config of this setup? I am trying to see where it is broken. I am using the correct IBASE number (production client in logical component), I tried to create a new logical component, new projects with correct settings but it still gives this error message. Please advice.
    Thanks and regards,
    Nischal

  • Error "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system"

    Hi,
I'm setting up the ChaRM for test purposes.
I have done everything according to SAP Expert Guided session requirements (like Basic configuration, Landscape and TSMS set-up) and also was reading and checking the following Blog " Change Request Management scenario: Working examples"
    /people/dolores.correa/blog/2009/07/23/change-request-management-scenario-working-examples
    Everything seems to be ok:
    1) Landscape ok, IBase created and active, Partners assigned to each component
    2) Maintenance project created and Maintenance cycle set to "Development with release"
    3) I can easily create Change request (I tried Normal correction), approve it.
    4) When I open Change Document for approved change reques - it gives error "No maintenance cycle is open for the current system" and I can't proceed with setting Change document status to "In development".
In Change Request I indicate the only IBase (1) and as Component - SolMan clent 803, whish is set-up like PRD.
    What could be wrong?
I tried reading all threads but did not get solution - there were suggestions to activate maintenance cycle (in my case it active), to check if business partners are assigned to IBase components (in my case done),
    What else?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Tushar,
Have you already checked this SAP Note with hints for trouble shooting?
[SAP Note 1280664 - Distribution of maintenance certificates: Troubleshooting|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1280664]
    General information: http://www.service.sap.com/maintenancecertificate
Report RAGS_MK_DISPLAY_FILE and SAP Support Portal does not show any entries
==> That means, SolMan has not requested successfully Maintenance Certificates.
    Hints for trouble shooting:
    - check log of job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT
    - check whether these SAP Note have been already applied. Both SAP Notes are linked in troubleshooting note.
1293657 - Error in distribution of Maintenance Certificates via SDCCN
1251060 - Error in requirement process of maintenance certificate

  • Assigment maintenance cycle -- system (IBASE) in CharM

    Hello!
I have the problem to establish CharM functionality.
When I try to set a urgent correction in status "In Development" I get the following error:
No maintenance cycle is open for the current system
    My question are:
    - How do this assignment maintenance cycle <--> system (IBASE) work?
    - Is it perhaps possible to execute this assignment manually?
    - Is there some log files that can be analysed for this problem?
    Thanks & regards
    Thom

    Hi,
About this issue, there is a detail information about this in blog point 6  u201CChanges in the logical components of a project where Charm is already activatedu201D.
    This is the link:  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/15116
So, you have to change the transport route accordingly and then close current maintenance cycle and generate a new one.
    Following is the steps.
1: please import all the transport requests which were associated in the current maintenance cycle task list by STMS manually import.
1: change transport route from DEV > PREPROD >PROD to DEV > USER > PROD on the domain controller system.
    2: close current maintenance cycle.
3: change the system landscape to DEV > USER > PROD in solar_project_admin.
4: generate a new maintenance cycle.
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Vikram

  • ChaRM: new challenge with maintenance cycle

    Dear colleagues,
I have got the following messages for transaction 8157 SDMJ (created from 8156 SDCR):
Header Data     No maintenance cycle is open for the current system
Item 1     The item category 'SRVP' is not permitted for product 'SUPPORT_HOTLINE'.
    My questions are:
    1) Is the product maintenance obligatory for ChaRM?
    2) how to detour these errors?
    Regards,
    Artem Ivashkin

Mainly this errors occurs due to locked maintenance cycle so goto solar_project_admin and then unlock by right click on the top or it may be due to wrong ibase other ,possible reasons are
    - The IBase is wrong: The IBase/component must represent the production system in the project landscape.
    - Lack of authorizations: Assign role "SAP_SOCM_ADMIN" or "SAP_CM_ADMINISTRATOR_COMP" (or equivalent) to the user who would like to approve the change request.
P.S. The 'Check' button under tab 'Change Requests' (the same as transaction /TMWFLOW/CHARMCHK) will only do the checking. On the other hand, the 'Refresh' button will do the checking and update the relevant database entries.

  • Set Change to 'Development' : ERROR: No maintenance cycle

    Hello,
i have customized the change management scenario in SolMan 4. Now that I have approved a change request I want to set the change to 'development'. But the error No Maintenance Cycle appears.
I have assigned a maintenance project to my Solution. I have actived the change management in the maintenance project, but as i wanted to push on the create task list button the message appears that my project ist not released yet, cycle can not be created.
Please could you explain me how to create a maintenance cycle, what are exactly the necessary steps and why I need a maintenance cycle, for example for creation of a new user??
    Thank you in advance!!
    Regards
    Marcus

  • Unable to Activate Maintenance cycle /TMWFLOW/TASKLIST050

    Hi!
I am about to work with ChaRM. When I go to maintenance cycle and try to activate them, I go the error /TMWFLOW/TASKLIST050.
The following errors are also there:
    /TMWFLOW/PHCNTRL 54
    /TMWFLOW/PHCNTRL 56
I closed this maintenance cycle and opened a new one, but still have the same error.
Can some one help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    Regards
    Thom

I've got the same problem - except that the business partner looks OK to me. So actually it should work (created as a person incl. role employee, tab identification contains the user name etc.). Nevertheless I still get the message that it's not valid constantly. I'd really appreciate any idea.
    Thanks!
    Cheers,
    Andy

Business partner was double --> no clear determination possible that way - that couldn't work, of course ))

  • Multiple system maintenance cycles are not shown in pop up for selection

    Hi,
In change manager, when we create a change document from a change request, we dont get a pop up for selection of maintenance cycles with multiple systems in it.
The change document is getting created by taking the only available maintenance cycle with only that system.
Is there any configuration for this?
    Regards,
    Dipti Sawarkar.

    Hi Christian,
    Thanks for your reply.
I know the pop up will come only when there is more than one maintenance cycles for that production system.
I have done configuration for Normal correction.( SDMJ) and customized it (ZDMJ).
When I try to create a CD* from CR* for a particular production system ( CCP) , it just takes up a maintenance cycle for CCP system and doesnt show up any pop for selection of maint cycles whereas I have created 5 maintenance cycles for this system CCP.
The other 4 maintenance cycles have multiple landscapes (CCP and EAP )in it whereas this one (which gets selected by default) just has CCP landscape in it.
The strange part is that when I try to create a stand alone CD ( without CR ) , it will give that pop up showing all 5 maint cycles. But this is not happening when I create a CD from a CR.
I have never done/ seen configuration for the pop up of selecting maint cycles in ChaRM.
    Looking forward to ur help,
( *CD - Change Document  and * CR - Change Request)
    Regards,
    Dipti Sawarkar.

  • How do I change the keyboard shortcut for Cycle through open documents in PS CC for Mac?

Sorry to bug the community with such a seemingly inconsequential task, but I am seriously tired of using the awkward default keyboard shortcut for cycling through open docs in PS.  I'd like to change it to what I am used in in Chrome, which is Cmd+Option+[left] or {right} arrow keys.  I noticed this is not a command listed in the in keyboard shortcuts, for whatever reason.  Where on Earth can I change this?
If it is not possible to do it by default, is there a plug-in or a change to the code that will allow this basic functionality?
    Thanks again guys and gals!

As far as I know, you can't. It's "hard wired" in.  Not even Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts is allowed  to change it.
However I did find this tip:
Anyway i never found tabs in Adobe application useful, instead i prefer the old school method: simply switch off tabs feature via illustrator/ preferences/ user interface/ open documents as tabs. Then in Mac preferences panel, under keyboard, just search for the “focus on next application window” field (under menu, keyboard and text) and assign a shortcut if the default option doesn't fit you. And there is now you can easily switch between open documents!.
The best part of this is that it can be used in all mac applications, not only Adobe ones. And remember, if you want this working on Indesign, Photoshop, etc be aware of first switch off the tab features so that the system could “see” multiple documents opened not only one single tabbed document.

  • Current System Date is not an open or authorised accounting period

    Hi
Has anyone come across this system error message when running a Manual Internal Recon for a Supplier from Business Partners Module:
"Current System Date is not an open or authorised accounting period"
I couldn't find a post on it in the forum.
    The scenario:
December 2010 Posting Period is Unlocked
November 2010 & January 2011 Posting Period are Locked
Suppliers transactions to be reconciled average between August 2010 to December 2010, the Suppliers Currency is USD, the Recon Date is 25/01/2011 (todays date), the database LC = ZAR, SC = ZAR therefore making the USD = FC, Recon total = zero (after ticking relevant postings) > Reconcile > Gives above error message
    I tested x3 scenarios:
    - Change Recon Date to 31/12/2010 (as December 2010 period is Unlocked) = Recon reconciles
    - Open the January 2011 Posting Period = Recon Reconciles
    - Reconcile any Local supplier = LC (ZAR) Supplier with the same Recon Date (25/01/2011) = Recon Reconciles
With the above mentioned it looks like something to do with Exchange Rates based off Recon Date trying to pull from January 2011 but can't because Jan 2011 Posting Period is Locked.
Any ideas on the error message or why this may happen.
    Regards
    Kurt Walters

    Hi Rakesh
Thanks very much for the reply, your answer has agreed to what I have said so I will consider this message closed now, thanks for the help much appreciated.
Gordon - I am aware of this as per my post, just wanted to check as LC can post fine with the Period being closed but the FC will not based on the Recon Date, as per Rakesh agreement due to the FC looking at the Recon Date as well as Exchange Rate for that recon date and Period not open it will gives an error message.
Thanks both for your replies, much appreciated.

  • Problem with differetn phases for one maintenance cycle

    Dear Solman Gurus.
It has happened several times, tha while working with maintenance cycle from 2 different places - from activity Maintenance cycle and form Task list, that system shows different phases. For example in task list is phase TEST in activity Maintenance cycle is phase Development wit release. And you are not able to correct it. Or at least we do not know how to do it. So we can only close the whole maitenance and start all over again.
Please help us how to prevent this situation or how to correct it.
    Regards,
    Petr

    Hi Petr,
You should have a look to SAP Note 933705 that helps with your problem.
    Best regards,
    Stéphane.

  • BW system open for config for RSA1 display

    Hi
Our developers have been told by another company that there is a bug in BW3.5 (fixed in 7) whereby the system needs to be open for config in SCC4 to be able to view certain data.
This is in RSA1 - under InfoProvider they have a Holiday Entitlement - Quote Transactions item which when double clicked brings up a screen showing Update Rules information - Status, Data Fields, Type, Srce Fields. There is also a 'Create Start Routine' button, or, if one is already created, a 'Start Routine' display, and other information they require - more detailed information on the characteristics, Process Chain maintenance and InfoPackage maintenance.
With the system closed - they cannot see any of this. Update Rules and the 'Start Routine' buttons are not present.
We are not comfortable having the Live system open and have asked why they cannot do this in Development, as they insist they are not making any changes - they just need to display this information. They say it is required for debugging, and they have to debug in this system, as the debugging depends on the data - which is different in Prod than it is in Dev.
Does this stand up? Are there other ways they can access this information?
We tried Note 337950 - Queries (and other objects) cannot be edited - but this hasn't helped.
If there is a SAP note that does confirm this is a 'bug' and the system does indeed need to be open then please could someone point me in it's direction??
    Many thanks
    Ross

Sorry for not replying for so long... this one kinda went off the radar whilst there were some more important issues.
Thanks for the responses... Eric, our SCC4 settings were the same - i.e. system pretty much closed - and they couldn't see anything. Only by changing in SCC4 did they then get the warning message about changing obecjts - which you can bypass - and then you're in and can see everything.
    We're on support package 17; BI_CONT is on 12.
The roles the users have been developed by their authorisations team... do you think it could be an auths issue? Surely it wouldn't make any difference though if you opened the system in SCC4?
EmJay - thanks, but this only pops up as per above when the system is open for config. Else you don't get the message at all.
    Cheers
    Ross
