Nokia 5800 Call Forwarding settings

Just wondering if there is any way to customise the call forwarding settings on my Nokia 5800.  I would like to set the forward to voicemail if not answered setting, but the longest I can get the phone to ring before forwarding is 30 seconds.  This is often not long enough for me to answer the phone, for example if I can't find it, it's in a bag or I've left it upstairs. I had the same problem on my old 6300.
How can I set this to forward to voicemail after say a minute?  If this is not possible, where can I submit a feature request?

this is a network setting not a phone setting
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Nokia 5800 calling problem

im new to this so sorry if this is in the wrong place and otherthings, anyway, i have a nokia 5800, which has been pretty much plain sailing apart from recently the speaker hasnt been working for calls. when i make calls i have to put it on loudspeaker, which as you can imagine is arkward to have everyone listening to your conversation. Sometimes it works, but more often than not i have to use loudspeaker. I have insurance but i was just wondering if there is any easier way to fix this?

Unfortunately I have to mention that also my 5800 is having this problem. Furthermore a collegue is experiencing the same.
So, it looks that there is a kind of weakness in the system. I sent the mobile phone back and they returned it just with a "software update". Obviously, after my first phone call, I found again that the speaker volume goes down during the conversation and I cannot hear anything...
Now, since this is the second problem after the break of the vibration, I'm disappointed...

  • Nokia 5800 Call Records

Is it possible you can delete a call from the call log without having to remove them all?
    Thanks.

You have to delete it from the recent calls > received calls section to make it disappear from the full log.
On the N97 which has the same OS as the 5800 you go into the received calls, select the number you want rid of then press options > delete.

  • Nokia 5800 call waiting

I have turned on call waiting. When I'm in a call and someone else calles me, I don't hear the normal beep sound like in other phones. It appears on the screen that someone is calling but I have to actually look at the screen while I'm talking with the first person to know that someone else is also calling me. It's difficult to start a coference call because of this problem. Thank you.

Under the Profile personalization  set 'Warning Tone' to 'On' and also 'Alert For' to 'All Calls' and see if that makes it work..

  • Call forward to unity connection call handler

    have  the following setup:
    cucm 8.6
    cuc 8.6
a cti route point (DN 1000 )with forward all to unity connection call handler.
phone users who choose to have some quiet time can forward all their calls to the cti rp.
    1. i need to allow only specfic DNs the ability to forward to the cti rp.
    2. at times that  the allowed DNs didnt choose to forward to cti rp then normal behaviour should occur - busy or unanswerd calls should go to DNs personal voice mail.
    thanks

You can assign a specific partition to cti-rp and assign it to a CSS and this CSS should be assigned to those users (at call forward settings in line) only to whom you are trying to give this facility and for other users you can
or you can create a TP for it with specific partition and set the called number as per voice mail.

  • Support Line - Call Forward All through Hunt Pilot to cell phone

I know I may be beating a dead horse, but I've found so much help in these forums that I figured I'd give it a shot.
We have a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition and we are running into a configuration issue. What we would like to do is to create an emergency support line for our IT staff. The way we would like this to function is that a caller dials a number, CM accepts the call and dials out to our IT staff's cell phone numbers in a round-robin fashion. To avoid the caller getting dumped into the IT staff's voice mail on their cells, we would like the staff member to have to dial a number to accept the call. If there is no answer, the call rolls to the next cell number. If no one is available, the caller should be directed to Unity Connection to leave a message. Unity then will send out text and email messages to the support staff.
I know that we can use Unity to perform an assisted transfer, which will require the user to press "1" to accept the call, and we are able to get Unity to send out the notifications (text and email) when a voice message is left. The issue is with Call Manager making the outbound calls to the cell phones.
What we have attempted is to setup DNs that call forward all to the users cell numbers. These DNs have been added to a Line Group, which has a Hunt Pilot attached to it. Any time this pilot is called, we get a reorder. Using the DNA, we see that "no device is associated with the DN", which is under the DN for the first users cell forward. If we add that DN as a second line to that users IP Phone (7940), then the call into the Hunt Pilot rings that line on the IP phone, not the CFA to the cell phone.
After weeks of digging around, it seems as though CFA in a Hunt is just not possible. My boss wants official word from Cisco about this, but TAC doesn't seem to want to help due to service contract issues (which blows my mind, as we have opened several cases in the past two months for configuration related issues). Our Business Edition came with Contact Center Xpress, although we do not have the resources available to install it. If CCX will carry out this task, that might be enough to push management into getting another server to support this, but without being able to play around with it, I don't know.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this work, I would GREATLY appreciate the help!
    Thanks in advance,
    -Geoff

    Hi Geoff,
    Always interesting isn't it :)
    Call Forward settings on individual Hunt member phones are ignored when presented a call via the Hunt feature. Here is a clip;
The concept of hunting differs from that of call forwarding. Hunting allows Cisco CallManager to extend a call to one or more lists of numbers, where each such list can specify a hunting order that is chosen from a fixed set of algorithms. When a call extends to a hunt party from these lists and the party fails to answer or is busy, hunting resumes with the next hunt party. (The next hunt party varies depending on the current hunt algorithm.) Hunting thus ignores the Call Forward No Answer (CFNA) or Call Forward Busy (CFB) settings for the attempted party. This also applies to CFWD ALL settings.
    From this doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803edabe.html#wp107892
    So, any Forwarding settings have to be done on the Hunt Pilot itself. These Destination settings (on the Hunt Pilot) need to be configured to go to the Unity Voicemail Pilot # or perhaps this is where you Forward out to the Cell #;
    Hunt Forward Settings
Forward Hunt No Answer - When the call that is distributed through the hunt list is not answered in a specific time, this field specifies how to forward the call.
Destination This setting indicates the directory number to which calls are forwarded. (This can be the Directory Number of the Unity VM Pilot)
Forward Hunt Busy - When the call that is distributed through the hunt list is busy in a specific time, this field specifies how to forward the call.
Destination This setting indicates the directory number to which calls are forwarded. (This can be the Directory Number of the Unity VM Pilot)
Maximum Hunt Timer - Enter a value (in seconds) that specifies the maximum time for hunting.(Used in conjunction with Forward Hunt Busy)
    Maybe you could leverage these Unity Connection configs to achieve your desired results. These will ensure that the Message is not left unattended;
    Cascading Message Notification
Cascading message notification allows you to send notifications to a widening circle of recipients. Cisco Unity Connection continues to send notifications according to the devices you selected until the message has been saved or deleted by a recipient.
For example, to create a cascade of message notifications for your Technical Support department,
    Chaining Message Notification
Message notification can be set to "chain" to a series of notification devices if an attempt to send notification to the first selected device fails. The definition of failure to a notification device is based on the options you select for retrying a device that is not answered or is busy.

  • Call forwarding keeps getting disabled

    Folks,
I've had a USA/Canada subscription for several years, and have had Call Forwarding set up to my US cell phone for that time & it's worked well. However just recently I've found that the Call Forwarding settings in my account keep getting set back to disabled. I go in an put in the cell phone number (with country code), then I come back a week later and it's set back to disabled. Has anyone else see this? Any idea how to stop it hapenning?

    Interesting.
Haven't seen such problem so far, could you please contact customer service for investigation: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA1170/How-can-I-contact-Skype-Customer-Service

  • Call Forwarding: Change timeout before forwarding ...

    Hi,
I've just set up call forwarding with a Skype number and I'm wondering if there is any way to change the number of times it rings before being diverted to my mobile? People are having to wait too long for me to answer and most people are hanging up before I can answer the call...

Hi, Salsy20 and Joeriba, and welcome to the Community,
Please check your call forwarding settings; Skype does not determine when to activate call forwarding based upon the number of rings; it is based upon an increment of time.  For example, in the screen shot, below, the default increment is 10 seconds (circled in orange pen).  You would need to determine and then experiment with how many rings = [x] seconds, or set to 0.  Remember, if you make any changes to any settings, click Save!

  • Unable to disable Call Forwarding function on my iphone 4

    Hi,
I enabled call forwarding to a certain number. Now I am unable to remove the call forwarding.
    - Tried to "off" card forwarding on iphone setting
    - Restart iphone
    - Reset all settings
    - Called telco to erase my call forwarding details
    - Dial ##21#
    All to no avail.
Anybody faces the same problem? Is it telco issue or iphone issue.
    Help please?

    This is a telco problem.
The interface on the iPhone for call forwarding is only an interface to access the telco's system and set up call forwarding.  It has no control over the actual call forwarding settings.
It might be a good idea to reset network settings on the iPhone in Settings > General > Reset.
You can also eliminate the possibility of it being a setting on your phone by restoring as "new", but that's a bit extreme.

  • Call forwarding question

    Hi All,
I have an odd requirement: my users want to be able to forward externally only the caller is external.  i.e. I call Joe internally, and although he has a forwarder to go to his mobile, it will ring him through Lync.  Is that possible?  If
I call from an external landline to will be forwarded to his mobile.
    Thanks
    Craig

Yes, it's possible. by configure simultaneous ring to mobile and lync.
To set up call forwarding and simultaneous ring, do the following:
In the Lync main window, in the lower-left corner, click the Call Forwarding menu
    , and then click
    Call Forwarding Settings.
In the Lync – Options dialog box, click Forward my calls to:, and then do one of the following:
Click another of your numbers, such as your mobile phone.
Click New Number or Contact, and then search for or click a contact in the dialog box that is displayed.
Click Simultaneously ring, and then do one of the following:
Click another of your numbers, such as your mobile phone.
Click New Number, and then type a new number in the dialog box that appears.

  • Nokia 5800 Remote Sim Mode

What does Remote Sim Mode mean on the Nokia 5800 under Bluetooth settings? I checked the help section but I still don't understand

It means that if your phone is connected to your car for example via bluetooth, you can access your SIM contacts from your cars mobile phone without having to have a second SIM within the car phone.
    Got it?

  • Call Forwarding with Skype Number

I have a skype number and a couple questions. I have searched the forums and did not see this question answered.
I have an unlocked iphone and travel througout a different country every month or so. Each new country means a new sim card and a new number.
My question is: Will purchasing the skype world subscription cover the costs of each country (as long as the country is covered in the plan)? It states that the subscription only covers mobiles in some countries and landlines in others. So if I purchase the unlimited world (and assuming I am in one of the countries covered) will this be all I need to receive unlimited forwarded calls to my mobile?
I hope this isnt too confusing. Thanks!

  • Call forwarding broke after 1.1.2 update

after updating to 1.1.2 call forwarding was rendered useless. Every time I try to enable it I get a pop up box that says something like "cannot save settings" and only let's me dismiss the box. I went to the genius bar and they verfied that any phone that has the 1.1.2 update has the same problem. Do you all have the same problem? I hope that Apple is reading this. I need my call forwarding back.
    Thanks
    Justin

Call ATT and ask them to check your Immediate Call Forwarding Provisioning. This was the problem on my account… see below for the nitty-gritty.
I was experiencing a similar issue in that my call forwarding settings could not be saved. I spoke to ATT for a while and then to Apple for a long time wherein we tried everything and eventually restored the iPhone software. Still no go.
I called ATT and explained the issue to the first line customer service person. Since it didn't appear to be an iPhone issue, I asked if someone in Technical Support could help with the settings on my account. They said that Technical Support would likely be annoyed at him for transferring me to them and would likely end up transferring me to Apple. He did transfer me to Technical Support and after about 15 minutes of hold time, the very friendly Technical Support person (Trina) saw what was wrong about 10 seconds after I explained the problem. She changed a setting and the feature was back to working without even having to restart the phone.
I asked to speak with her supervisor (Steve) to express my gratitude for her quick help and to suggest that they share (through their knowledgebase or whatever the frontline customer service people use) the ease with which my particular problem was solved so that they could spare someone else the time that was spent on non-productive attempts at solutions.

  • Using Nokia 5800 GPS and accepting a call

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to answer calls while the GPS is on on my Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition.  Currently, when I use the GPS and someone calls, I tap the answer button, but I get a message that says not allowed.  I was looking around in the settings, but can't find anything.  I was hoping there would be a way to answer the call and turn on the speakerphone so I can drive and talk at the same time.  Anyway know if this is possible?
    Thanks!

Getting my first call during active turn-by-turn navigation, I wondered about this strange behaviour too. As it is I dont see any green phone icon on the navigation screen. With the terminal placed in the included windscreen fixture, it is hardly traffic safe to have to press many buttons to get the handsfree activated! Nokia could consider another option on the main screen when a call is waiting to be accepted, for going directly to speakerphone-mode, or at least a configurable option within the maps application. As of now it jumps back to the maps app, which induces the added (two) press of the application switch button. I suppose buying a separate handsfree kit might 'solve' this basic issue, but that should really not be needed out-of-the-box with a dedicated navigation edition. If someone figures a setting that I have overlooked, I would be pleased to get a hint, thx.
