Non saleable returned finished goods which are discarded handled in SAP

Hi Gurus,
I have a question with regards to Sales return.  I have some returned finished goods which was taken back in the system and reserved for quality check.  Here FG stock was debited and COGS was creditedat the time of physical receipt of material.  But after quality check it was decided to scrap the material.  How does the system pass the entry for the discarded stock.
Rgds,
MRS

Hi
The entries you have mentioned had set off the goods issue entries.
Now when damaged - the materials can be scrapped with movement type 551
thanks

  • Rework on sales return finished goods material

    Hi all,
There is sales return finished good in stock.
This FG is rejected by quality assurance due to some quality reasons.
Now, rework to be done on this FG to make it as per quality standards,
After rework the material code of FG will remain same and sales will dispatch this FG in the same code.
How to show this rework process and what r the steps.

    Hi,
This is handled via Rework Order type, I Feel PP would be the better forum to Get better details regarding your issue, its a normal process in production to do rework on materials once they are identified as not meeting the required specification.

So is there any standart report for that or which table may I use for this report..

  • How do i check the list of invoices which are not posted into sap.

    Hi All,
Iam displaying(ALV) the list of invoices and epayments for both PO & non PO transactons which are being processed in workflow but not posted in sap.
(Non po transaction is th eone with out reference of a PO)
How to check and list out the invoices that are not posted in sap. where does this get stored.
    please help.
    Thanks
    jyothi.

    Hello Jyothi,
U can give try with EKBE table for getting invoices for PO. In this table there is a field vgabe which has various status. U can try that. Now for Non PO, u would be directly creating invoice doucment using FB60(i guess) which would create an entry directly into BKPF/BSEG. U can scan BKPF for the date range company code document type KR which vendor invoice.

  • How to stop doing LIV for the goods which are rejected during quality check

    Hi,
    My client requirement is
    1. System should not allow doing LIV for complete quantity entered during GR, but it should be as per accepted quantity after quality inspection has been done.
For. ex. Vendor sends 100 quantity of item X. GR will be done for these 100 in system under quality inspection stock type. Now during quality inspection, 80 have been accepted and 20 have been rejected. Now while doing LIV system will propose amount for 100 quantity and not for 80. My client wants system should propose for only 80 and not for 100. How to do it?
    2. Vendor performance report based on the above indicating total quantity accepted, rejected and supplied for a material for a given period.
We do not intend to use QM module.
    My suggestion for above is,
    1. Do the GR as GR blocked stock - movement type 103 for 100. Then transfer 80 to unrestricted stock under movement type 105. Return 20 to vendor under movement type 124. If done this way system will propose amount only for 80 during LIV.
    2. Create Z report to capture the above for vendor performance report.
Is there any other way by which above can be achieved? Is doing GR block stock for all the receipts correct?
    Your suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Satish

    Hi Satish,
The scenario can be mapped as per your sugestions. I don't see any issues with that. The process can be defined for selective vendors.

  • HOW TO BLOCK DELIVERY OF GOODS WHICH ARE NOT EQUAL TO SALES ORDER

    Hi,
I want to block user to create any sales invoice for some customers based on  sales order where quantity in sales order is not equal to invoice.
    Thanks,
    Anitha

    Hi Anitha,
You can do this by selecting check marks on two field under BP Master data >>Payment Terms
    1) Allow Partial Delivery of Sales Order
    2) Allow Partial Delivery per row.

  • How can I get the material consumption of the month for each specific Finished Good?

(Sorry, I first opened this discussion in another space. I guess here's where it belongs).
    Dear Experts,
This is the first time I open a discussion. I'm new at this. I've been reading for a couple of months your forums and certainly you've helped me a lot. Thanks for that. Keep it up! ^_^
Now on business. Let me explain a bit about what I'm looking for.
I've been looking for a report that shows me the material consumption of the month in quantities. Raw Material and Packaging Material to be more specific. Also I need to see the consumption of those materials by each specific Finished Good.
For example, I know the consumption of Flour of all the month, but we use it for all our Finished Goods or SKU's as we call them, since we make cookies. How can I know how much Flour each Finished Good actually used?
I've been trying with different T-Codes, reports, etc. The last thing I've got is using transaction MB51 and filtering movements type from 261 to 262. The beauty of this report is that shows me the Process Order number, since I can match the PO number to a Finished Good with another report from BI (or BEX, however you call it).
Everything was fine until I found that there are some PO's that are not directly related to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good. In some cases I'm able to match the Finished Good, since the majority of Semi Finished Goods are uniques to a Finished Good. But there are three specific cases that are my problem right now:
Cream X: We use it for three Finished Goods.
X Syrup: We use it for all the Finished Goods.
Refined X Sugar: We use it for three Finished Goods.
So those three are Semi Finished Goods which are related to certain numbers of PO's I have on the report.
In the end, with the report from MB51 I have all the list of materials (filtering only Raw and Packaging), I have the consumption of the month (filtering movements 261 and 262) and I have the PO number related to each material. Of course one material is listed many times on the report, but with different PO number.
Then, like I said, I can match the PO number to a Finished Good, except in the cases where the PO is not matched to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good like the three examples I gave you.
I don't know if there's another way to track the Finished Good having the PO number. I've tried T-Code COR3, but couldn't get too far.
I hope I explained myself a bit clear and also sorry if my English is not so good.
    Thanks in advance. ^_^
    Warm regards,
    Rol

    Hi Rolando,
If the purpose is to find the consumption of a material, you can get it from report "MC.9". Plz let me know if it's useful.
    Rgds,
    Sudheer.

  • Reversing subcontracted finished goods that came from customer returns.

    Dear Gurus,
I have a scenario where the finished goods that came from subcontracting needs to be reversed back to its components without reversing the subcontracting charges. How to process this scenario in SAP.
The subcontracting job is packing. The individual materials will be sent to vendor and vendor will return the packed finished product. The packed material will then be sold. The materials that came back as customer returns due to quality reasons is unpacked and reverted back to its components.
How to process this reverting of the packed finished goods back to its components in SAP.
I understand one thing that reversal of subcontracting GR without reversing the subcontracting charges is not possible and it is not a proper procedure. I am unable to trace a way to process this using other indivdual movement types too.
Kindly suggest and Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,

Thanks for your reply Nishant but the problem is subcontracting charges should not be cancelled. The packing job done by vendor was paid and it is irrevokable.
The Finished goods returned from customer should be reduced from inventory and its components should be added back so that we can scrap the defective components and do our further processing using the good components.
The requirement is how to process the reduction of the finished goods from inventory and add the components back to inventory in SAP.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do we track Serial No of Finished Goods in 3rd year of Sales

What is the tracking system of finished goods with their respective Serial. No during:
    a)  The current financial year
    b) The previous financial year
    c) Received during the warranty period ie in the 3rd year.
How do we track the Sales Invoice No  and Delivery Challan No of the Finished Goods in the 3rd year of Financial period.
Ex Goods sold in the year 2006 with 5 year warranty and now we are in 3rd year and the Goods have come back under Warranty Period.User needs to check the Serial No, Sales Invoice No, Party Name......
Is there any Query......... or System by which we can find out...

    Hi,
When you delivery the finished goods to Customer, "Customer Equipment Card" and "Service Contract" will be automatically created. It has link to the Business partner.
In your case, You are providing Warranty for 5 yrs. Then your service contract will be created for 5 yrs for that Business partner. You can link the Warranty type in the Business Partner Master data itself. (ie., There will be an field called "Warranty" in BP master). According to it the Service contract will be created.
"Customer equipment card" will  be created for all serial number managed items automatically when delivery is made.
So, when the finished goods come into your company for service, You will open "Service Call". In that Service call you will enter the customer code. After entering the customer name just come to "Serial Number" Field and click tab. The Serial number items which is sold to that customer will be listed. Choose the finished goods which comes for service from that list.
I hope this could help you.

  • Process for Returns the goods to vendor

    Hi All
Can any body please guide me in the below Returns process:
    1) Goods returned from the customer and placed in to returns storage loaction, then to perform the returns process to vendor for the goods which are at returns S Loc.
    2) Goods recieved from vendor and performed Quality check and found goods are in damage condition then posted to blocked stock to take the decession about the stock.Decession has been made to return ths stock to vendor then the Stock from Blocked Stock has to be returned to vendor.
    Regards,
    Laxmi

    Hi,
    Point No 1 -
You can post the delivery with reference to PO in MIGO transaction using Mvt type - 122
OR can create PO with return tick with Mvt type - 161.
If you choose to post W.R.T PO,You can post substitute delivery W.R.T. return delivery document by using reverse posting with Mvt type - 123.
    Point No 2 -
Here now you have posted  the stock into block stock.
You can post the return using movement type 124 - return delivery from goods receipt blocked stock.
you can reverse the rweturn delivery doc to post the substitute delivery again into block stock. Finally move the stock to unrestricted using 105.
    Hope this helps.

  • Finished goods procurement - Not htrough Third party order

    Hi
    The scenario:
The client purchases some Finished goods, which they are not manufacturing, directly from vendor, (i.e.) the sale sorder requirement for some Finished goods are directly procured from vendor and they require those items to be receipted back from vendor in sales order stock. Then they will deliver to customer.
In normal third party order , i think the Sales order triggers back to back PR with Account Assignment for statistical delivery and Item category 'S', third party. In these cases can we have the physical stock of the material in our Storage location in sales order stock and delivery can happen from thereon.
Please inform me the configuration for the same and any solution to map the process.
    Thanks very much in advance
    regards
    arvind

    hi ,
this is individual purchase order scenario....
while creating sales order you have to change item category from TAN to TAB.
then automatically PR created in sales order...
that you can see in VA02 ---scheduline category view.
    then you create PO.
    goods receipt.
create outbound delivery in  VL01N.( with reference to order).
    Create Billing to customer
otherwise you create material master  as follows.
    material type --- Trading goods.
    General item category--- BANC.
    item category-- TAB.

  • Difference between WIP (work in progress) and Semi finished goods

what is the difference between WIP (work in progress) and Semi finished goods
and how to handle their valuation seperately in SAP.
pls help with some specific important inform on both   WIP   and semi f

    Hello Sanjeev,
The difference between SFG and WIP is that ,
1 ) Valuation Class  For SFG starts 7***   but WIP material stock starts with 3***
2 )  Stock / inventory of  SFG can be seen at point of time but WIP is an Order item
3 ) We can find the stock of SFG at any point of time say it is having specific storage location But WIP is calculated from
Order for which items are drawn .
4 ) Example You have to manufacture Product AAA which contains SFG1 , 2 , 3  which is made up of some component items
once SFG 's made the inventory is updated during GR but the components lying in the shop floor required to complete the order
so we want to know at any point of time how many these materials are lying and the same was issued against Order
reservation to finish the balance Order Quantity is called WIP.  You have confirmed only say 80 Pcs of FERT out of 100 Pcs
remaining 20 Pcs needs to be confirmed and is being manufactured in the shop floor and the same is lying as WIP .
      Material Consumption to Production Order:
    In FI:
ROH consumption Account       Dr (PROFIT & LOSS ACCOUNT)
To ROH Inventory Account       Cr (BALANCE SHEET)
Same in the case with HALB
In CO: Cost of Material is
In CO: Cost of Material is debited to Production Order
       For WIP :
      Calculation of WIP In FI:
          WIP Account                           Dr. (BALANCE SHEET)
To Change in WIP Account      Cr (PROFIT & LOSS ACCOUNT)
    If the Order is completed:
    In FI:
Change in WIP Account           Dr (PROFIT & LOSS ACCOUNT)
    To WIP Account
Pl come back if you have any doubt,

  • Year end Valuation of Finished Goods

    Hi
We have an issue with respect to valuation of Finished Goods. As of fiscal year, there is some stock of Finished Goods, which is valuated at a certain price. On the first day of the next financial year, we run the standard cost estimate, release it, which would change the price in the material master. however, the stock declared at the end of financial year, cannot be changed in the next financial year. The change should be applicable only for the stock produced in the next financial year. How can we account for it?
    Regards
    Sanil Bhandari

    Dear Sanil,
Try to use MR21. This revaluate the material based on the closing stock as on date, irrespective of produced date.
Hope this could help you out.

    Hello to all,
Is it possible to carry out the physical inventory of finished goods, it meet the std od SAP.
    thanks & Regards,

Yes. It is possible and also recommended. Periodically, Physical Stocks are varified with system stock and necessary inventory adjustment are done by MM person.
