Hi Kavya,
Create a new User status profile like PMNOTIFI & mention the follwing status with authorization  code as below
Status No     Status
1                                               - H01
2                                           - APR
Sort text
H01-Hold for approval    (Initial Status  as X)
APR-Approved
Position
Lowest position
(H01)1
(APR)2
Highest Position
(H01)2
(APR )2
Authorization code
H01
APR
double click on the H01  status & select the redio button of the following options.
Put notif. in process again
Put notif. in process again
Put notification in process
Donot select any thing for APR.
By this option user cannot release the notification unless until selecting the APR status.
After that create a separate role for this staus profile  having object B_USERSTAT & mention the following  activities for authorization control of the user status.
Activity-01, 06
Authorization key-H01,APR
Object Category-QMI
Status Profile-PMNOTIFI
U can also add this activities to u r current role with out creating addition role....
Hope this will help you.

  • How to automate WF notification approval in controlled environment

Community, Currently we have to manually approve each of the PO's created in this contolled CRP/UAT test environments as part of testing. We are planning implement whole bunch of sites and this kind of manual approval is cumbersome.
I was wondering if we could automate this WF notification approval process without changing the AME rules? If yes, how do we go about doing it.
    Appreciate any pointers.
    -Maha

    Maha,
You may explore following APIs to approve the PO Programmatically.
po_reqapproval_init1.start_wf_process - Initiates the WF approval
    po_reqapproval_action.approve_doc - Approves PO/Req.
    Thanks,

  • Tricky Requirement for RMA Approval : OM: Notification Approver

    Dear Gurus,
I have a Tricky Requirement here.
My Client Requirement is when they get the RMA, System should trigger the Notification to three people, Means there are three shift manager who works 24*7 in Production. So if one of them is not physically present RMA would stuck and they cant process ahead.
Can it be set by using OM: Notification Approver profile options ?
Presently RMA Approval is working perfectly for a Single Approver.
    Please Advice.
    Regards,
    John

    Hi John,
If you have separate responsibilities for your staff entering the RMAs and their managers, you can specify the manager responsibility (i.e. rather than an individual user) in the OM: Notification Approver profile option (i.e. at responsibility level for the non-manager responsibility).
This will mean that all/any shift managers see the notifications and approval is on a first-to-approve basis.

  • OM Notification Approver profile option issue

    Dear All,
I am facing a issue while setting up *"OM Notification Approver"* profile option, System showing two value for a Single Employee.
For Ex : If Employee is John Edwards, System is showing in LOV as .
    i. John Edwards.
ii. Edwards,John. What could be an issue here.
    Please Advice me.
    Regards,
    JOHN

    John,
The reason for the apparent duplication is that Oracle does a (v. unsophisticated) select on the WF_ROLES table to supply the LOV validating that profile option.
WF_ROLES also includes individuals who have a party type of 'PERSON' in the TCA schema so if, for example, you have defined John Edwards as a contact for one of your customers you will see 'John Edwards' (the TCA party name) in addition to 'Edwards, John' (the employee name assigned to that user's record) in your LOV. You could even see multiple occurrences of 'John Edwards' depending on the party relationships you have.
My advice would be to always select the 'Edwards, John' format. That format should be unique so no issue over which one to select...

  • Adding custom fields to notifications-approval tab alv grid

Transaction IW21 - Create PM Notifications.
on the Approval Tab - there is an ALV grid that contains lots of fields. I know that i can click on the upper right hand corner and modifiy the layout by hidding fields. I want to add some custom fields to this grid.
I added my fields to view QMSM and now when I look at the database table using SE16 - i can see my new fields.
But how do I add them to this ALV grid?
    Please and Thank you,
    Julia Ramos
    Orange County Public Schools.

I have read SAP OSS NOTE:  586523 Customer-defined fields in list editing. This note helped me add these same fields to many of the standard reporting transactions. IQS8, IW28, IW29, IW38, IW39
    I added my fields to
    QMEL - Quality Notification
RIHQMEL_LIST - Display structure reporting for QMEL
RQMQMEL - Quality notification - header data
RQMQMSM - Quality notification - measures (reporting)
Then i ran SAP program BALVBUFDEL. This program refreshs the alv buffer. This was very cool in that it allows us to access and report on all of my custom fields thru the standard reporting transactions!
I thought this same logic might work for transaction IW21. I found the structure used by the approval tab alv program, QMSM,  and created an append structure, ZAQMSM with my fields - ran the balvbufdel program to refresh the alv buffers - but i still can not see my fields in the approval tab. I believe that there must be a way to do this - i will keep trying different things and read thru move OSS notes. If you have any sugestions or ideas - they would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Notification Approval mail did not send

    Dear Sir,
Our Portal is ep6 SP14, The notification mail on CM problem that
    1. Nomally the editor will upload the document -> to approval   (Now the approval got the mail for approve)
    2. After the approval got the mail , already approval.  It should send the email to the editor, But now it does not send for the status for that documents via email. (it just send only in Notification mail in portal).
    Please help.
    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi Vimol,
After the documents gets approved it only sends the notification to the author and the status of the document gets changed. Earlier it shows in progress and after approval it will show Released.
    Check if this helps.

  • Workflow Notification Approver Tracking

    Hi,
I am sending out a approval notification to a group email address. So multiple people will receive the approval email. So suppose if one of them approves the request I want to know which one of the group members approved that request. Can you please suggest how to get this data. I want to know which one of the email group members approved the request.
    Awaiting help
    thanks
    Praveen

In addition to what Matt has said, starting 11.5.10 / 2.6.3.5 following is the behavior.
    1. When an e-mail response is processed by the mailer, the From: email address of the response is taken as the responder e-mail address. This address could belong to a valid user within the Oracle Apps workflow directory services or a different email address since the original e-mail could have been forwarded to another before before responded to.
    2. If the e-mail address matches a valid user in the directory services, the WF_NOTIFICATIONS.RESPONDER column will have the user name and not the e-mail address. If the email address does not match any user name, the email address is stored in RESPONDER column as email:[email protected]
    Hope this helps.

    Hi John,
For the user who has created the RMA, what are his profile option settings at site, responsibility and user level for the profile option OM: Notification Approver?
I assume you have already checked this but it's worth checking that the notification is being routed to whom you expect it to be routed !

  • PO approval Work flow

    Dear All,
Our users need to share the work list for PO Approval workflow with others in the dept. but if the user other than the one who was the initial recipient of the notification approves the PO; the workflow approval history still shows the original recipients name and not the responder as the approver. It does not even puts the message as "Approving on behalf of" as in the case if the notification is forwarded to other user.
Any suggestions how to capture the responder as approver?

I was able to find where it is doing it.
The PO_WF_PO_NOTIFICATION.POST_APPROVAL_NOTIF has a logic (which does not make much sense) but if the session owner (logged in user) is not equal to the original recipient of the notification it reverts the responder to the original recipient.

  • Notification via eMail and/or worklist

    Hi everyone,
We have a requirement that some notifications will need to be send via eMail and worklist and other notification should only be thru worklist only.
    e.g.,
Notification FYI - eMail and Worklist
    Notification Approval - Worklist only
Is there a document or a way to do the such thing?
    Thanks and Regards
    elmer

    Hi,
If they are in separate item types, then I would create a new mailer, specifying the name of the item type as the correlation ID. That way the mailer will only send emails for that one item type. You will need to disable the standard mailer, otherwise that will email everything.
The disadvantage of this approach is that you will need to have multiple mailers if you want to email from different item types - there is no way to include multiple correlations in the mailer configuration (e.g. you can't run a mailer for APINV and POAPPRV item types).
A trigger would still do the job - you could automatically set the mail status for the notification to SENT as soon as the notification is created. If you are going this route, I would write a function that is invoked from the trigger to determine whether the notification should be emailed or not. That way, as more item types are used, you can easily modify the code in the function to determine whether to send the notification or not. I would even have a separate table / value set which can be checked, which contains a list of item types and / or processes which should not be emailed and have the code check that - if you add more conditions, then it's just an extra record in that table / set.

  • SRM 7.0 OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND - static link in Email notification possible

    Hello SRM Gurus,
i have a special question regarding OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND and the link in the Email notification. Is it possible to customize table /SAPSRM/C_PORT_C to provide a static link to the SRM Portal and not use the logic to generate this link.
Background: We have a Federal Network Portal in use for HR and BI. But we are planning now to change the concept to a central portal. So we do the Upgrade to SRM 7.0 with a stand alone Portal but we are getting the SSO Ticket from the Producer Portal over a special static link (e.g. http://producer.portal.net:50000/E_SSO?to=https://srm.portal.net:50201/startsrmportal.
For a interims solution i would provide in the offline Emails a static link to go to the SRM Portal with the SSO ticket from the producer portal. I know that is no standard way for the moment, but we need that to provide SSO to the Managers for there approvals. At the moment they get an Login Page with Username and Password. An that is not acceptable for the Managers
My question is now, could i provide a static link in the offline Emails and override the generated link. Or must i do a modification of the OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND Report? We only need this interims solution for 4 month until the new central portal is ready so that we can move with SRM in. A quick solution would be nice.
Thanks for every usefull suggestion in advance.
    Best regards
    Stefan

  • "From" Name Missing on "Worklist" Notification Screen

I have been tasked to fix a custom Workflow for journal entry approvals. Most of the hard stuff is done, in spite of the fact that I'm completely green at Workflow. There's one nagging issue that I can't seem to resolve...
When a user gets their notification - the one that shows up on the "Worklist" screen - the "From" field is blank. I've got "Type", "Subject", "Sent", and "Due" fields all showing up like they're supposed to, but the "From" is empty. When you click on the message, the "From" field is filled in under "Action History".
I've posted up a screenshot (below) that shows exactly where the missing "From" field is:

    Hi,
If you are using a constant, then you don't need to have an item attribute defined (that said, I'd still define one for future proofing).
1 - Define item attribute #FROM_ROLE of type Role.
2 - Copy the attribute from item level to the message, so that they are automatically synchronised together. This will create a new message attribute also called #FROM_ROLE of type Role and is a send attribute.
If you need to change the attribute from a hard-coded value, then include an activity in the process to set the item attribute to the correct value.
There is a sample workflow for you here which I have run in my 11i instance with no problem - run it from developer studio and choose the role you want to receive the notification (Approver) and who the from role should be (#FROM_ROLE).
If your version doesn't work, then check that the value of the role you are using is correct within the directory service - for example when I run my test workflow with a #FROM_ROLE of "ledger", it doesn't work; when I run it with a #FROM_ROLE of "LEDGER" it works.
