Nxt with touch sensor

Hi I'm looking for some help. I want the touch sensor when pressed to run a loop that causes 1 motor of the nxt to run moving a certain distance at a certain power and then stop. Then I want it to run again when the sensor is pressed (running the same loop) but only running on the press of the sensor when the sensors pressed. I have tried using a case structure and by putting the same circuit I the true and false case I thought it might work but it doesn't and it wasn't a very practical solution

Since I posted this I have changed my mind about what I am looking for the nxt to do. I will give you some background info an hopefully you can help.
Firstly I am using two NXT motors. The first one I have built an arm onto the motor, I want to move a set degree (egg 1degrees) at a set speed. As the NXT move further down( by 1 degrees ) it will apply pressure on a FSR. The FSR will be zero until the arm moves down(by 1degree) an applies the smallest pressure. But when the pressure on the FSR changes I want the DAQassist which is taking in the FSR signal to record the pressure applied at 1degree an output it to the user on the front panel showing the number. Then as the NXT moves down again the FSR resistance changes again and a new number is logged.. Is it possible to do this?? I will attach my code at present.
If I could get that working correctly it would be excellent
Secondly the other NXT motor has another arm built on it where I am placing an Accelerometer. I need this motor to move 180degrees at a speed of 20 forward and then move 180degrees at a speed of 60 (given a ratio of 3:1) backwards. carrying out this motion continuously. The accelerometer will also be attached to the DAQ and then I want the same DAQassist (because I tink you can only have one DAQassist per program) to out the accelerometers movement on a graph. Is this possible??

Just updated to lion 10.7.4 now Apple mouse won't scroll with touch sensor

The mouse is a Apple Magic Mouse a1296-3vdc (Not the mighty mouse with wheel, the sensor one). I don't think I can live without the scroll function..

There do seem to be known issues with the 7300. I'm temped to get an upgrade just for Photoshop performance.

Whenever I connect my iPod touch 5th generation to the charger and turn it on, my touch sensor seems to stop working so I cant unlock my iPod without having to take out the charger. Whats wrong with it?

I got this iPod about 3 weeks ago. Whenever I connect my iPod to the charger the touch sensor seems to stop working. When my alarm goes off in the mornings i have to unplug the charger to stop the alarm. I cant do anything while the charger is connected. Any ideas what the problem is or how I can stop this happening?

A few other users have report the same but I have not heard of a solution. Y can try:
- Another cable
- Another USB port
- A wall charger
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Using Apple Pay no longer displays "pay with touch id"

When using apple pay, my iphone used to display "pay with touch id" and when the transaction was approved, the screen would change to say "done" and a green check mark would appear. Last week, I had to take my phone back to factory default and restore apps, music and photos. Now when using Apple Pay, the screen is black, and neither the "pay with touch id" (to indicate that the transaction is in progress) nor the "done" displays, and I cannot tell if the transaction is going through our not.
Does anyone have any ideas what's going on?

To be functional, Apple Pay must see the chip it uses, which only exists in the iPhone 6/6+. Touch sensor is a security feature for the iphone 5s itself and is independent of Apple Pay.

It was in warranty (one year) until it was opened.
If it is working (other than fingerprint reading), the safest thing is to just use it with a passcode. It is still better than any other model iPhone.
If you are feeling lucky, you could take it back to your service person. Maybe the cable from the home button isn't connected properly, and can be fixed. There is, however, the risk of more damage, so you can end up with no working phone.
If there is a real Apple store available, they may accept it for a non-warranty replacement. It would be cheaper than a new phone, but a lot of money for just getting fingerprint reading.

IPhone screen touch sensors cancelled out over gallery when accordion w/ menu embedded extends over

iPhone 4s screen touch sensors are cancelled out over a gallery when an accordion w/ a menu embedded in it extends over the area. Upon FTP uploading the site, when I load each page from my iPhone the menu extends and then retracts. The area over which the accordian panel with the menu in it extends loses the touch sensitivity. I learned this when I had a gallery at the top of the page. Swiping left or right only continues to work bellow where the accordian extended to before retracting. And although activating the "Light box" works, the light box itself becomes an empty spot on the screen because it's invisible from my phone. Either I can place the Light box at the top of the screen under the banner and menu or at the bottom. Either way, it looks like a blank spot from my phone.

After almost 2 days of ICS, here's another update:
CONS:
No notification on lockscreen. The heck important is that.
Calendar widget not even showing the next event.
Lag on Facebook, or even other social media apps while typing something.
SYSTEM UI IS NOT RESPONDING. I almost gone in that moment, where I did a quick Settings Reset after reboot. This is a major con, Sony.
Swiping up and down with many items is now unresponsive, sometimes stopping quickly at a certain point.
PROS:
Bloatwares can now be disabled, or even uninstalled in Apps Settings. I tried to remove What's App, appXtra, and UEFA.com bloatwares, and now it's gone. Let's Golf HD can now be disabled.

Touch sensor isn't accurate

I've been having problems with the touch sensor on my ipod. It started when first bought it last September. I've noticed it mainly when the ipod is charging with the ac adapter plugged into the wall. When i try to touch a certain menu on the screen, the sensor is off and will open up the wrong menu - like if i try to push the settings menu it will open safari instead, or when i'm on the unlock screen when i type in my password the sensor is off and the wrong password is entered.
I noticed it wasn't so bad during the winter and spring when the weather was cooler. With the summer heat the problem has returned.

Does it only do it when it is charging? If so there may be a problem with the charger or the charging circuit in the iPod. I would first rule out a software problem bt trying in order:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Retoring the iPod from backup
- Restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem and you can repordue it, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Touch sensor

Hi, im hoping someone could help me with what I feel should be a simple process.
Are there more options with the touch sensor using labview other than simply if pressed/release or bumped, do something? Can they be used to say if bumped once do A, if bumped twice, do B etc?

Sure, you just have to program it
I imagine you are talking about a momentary switch that would send a signal to LabVIEW. If you want to do a case for 1 tap and a different case for 2 taps, you need to figure out how you will count the taps.
If you wanted to measure two taps or more you could start a timer on the 1st tap and count any additional taps for a determined amount of time. At the end of that time count the number of taps and go to the case for that number of taps. But you also have to be careful about how you you count the taps. You dont want to hold the button and have that count as multiple taps. So you might look at peak detection or something that only counts a tap as the signal goes high, but does not count again until the signal goes low before counting a high signal again.
Just think through what you would need to do to count your taps and try to make LabVIEW do it. Post some of your code attempts and ask questions.

Quick Launch Touch Sensors on GX740

Ohai again.
I've got the laptop now, and I've encountered a problem. Not all the buttons on the quick launch touch sensor thing work. At least I think they don't. The multimedia ones (Play, stop, skip, go back) are the culprit. Go back works fine. Stop takes more pressure to work, but it still works. Until today I didn't think that the Play/pause one worked, but after pressing very very hard on it, it worked. I've pressed even harder on the Skip one, and nothing happens.

It's sort of hard for me to do any replacing on this, because this laptop is from the US while I'm in Australia. The most important buttons work (Bluetooth, wireless, web cam, program), and so does the eco mode and movie mode. its only the multimedia ones, which i'd hardly use anywya (as i use global hotkeys with my media player).

Help! MSI GT685, Touch sensor not working.

The touch sensors (turbo boost etc. above the keyboard) on my MSI GT685 laptop stops working after I left the laptop in the box for 2 months, with battery taken out (to prevent me from playing games during the study term). Those sensors worked perfectly fine the last time I used the computer... Following the instructions in this forum, I reset the EC, but got no luck. I uninstalled the OC tool and SCM, and then reinstalled them, many times, but got no luck either. I checked the services in administration tools, MSI system control service is running fine. Any other suggestions?
So, if there are no fixes, to prevent mailing the heavy computer to the service center, I wonder if there are any alternatives to enable the turbo boost and fan boost(because all other sensors have the keyboard equivalent). I wonder if there are some key combinations, or cmd commands? I tried typing "MGSysCtrl.exe /?" in the command prompt under the SCM folder, but got nothing, same with the oc tools, anyone knows if there are any cmd commands available for enabling these functions? For OC tool, I am even wondering if importing the MSIWmiAcpi.dll to the Visual Studio as reference, and directly invoke the class functions will work...
And finally, For graphic card overclock I did try MSI Afterburner after the sensors are broken, in both supported and unsupported mode. Under both modes, Afterburner can only change the memory speed, but not the GPU and Shader speeds. Looks like some throttle effect exists, cuz the GPU speed stucks at 576MHz, which is far lower than the 580m's default, 620MHz. I guess there are some manufacturer BIOS settings to prevent me from overclocking. so I wonder if I can modify the VBIOS myself by using some third party tools to remove this throttle.. I already got the current VBIOS rom using GPU-Z though, but I can't do anything with that file because of the limited knowledge I had on that... Someone plz help ..

C6-00. Screen turns off, but touch sensor still wo...

in normal mode (non physical keyboard mode), i use it, everything works fine..
but in physical keyboard mode, once slide it, a few secs later, the screen turns off.. i tried to use the lock button at the side to turn it on back, but, nothing happens, i have to slide n lock unlock it many times to get it turned on again.( BUT SOMETIME, WHEN I SLIDE IT, EVERYTHING WORKS NORMALLY!)
when this thing happen, even in normal mode, i cant revive it back... i take out my batteries, put it back, start, it still doesnt turned on. but with "some miracle", sometimes it does turn on back.. but when i go to keyboad mode again... screen turns off.. same **bleep** happens.

-when the screen turns off(at home screen), i press at the "contact" at bottom right of the screen, the phone does vibrate. proves that the touch sensor works.

It is the latest v 20.0.042. In fact, I already reinstalled the firmware again and did a hard reset *#7370# but problem is still there. The display is totally off now either in vertical or horizontal keyboard mode, I have to slide the keyboard a little and hold it there to get the display back, it is too tiresome and is unacceptable. So I highly suspect the it is the sliding keyboard that causes the display problems.
I went to Nokia Care and they said that this phone is no longer under warranty. I will have to pay a substantial amount of money to have them repair it. This sucks

I have both of these touches. I updated both 3g and 4g to ios 4.2.1 and poof...no docking station support other than charging, no audio and no remote function. My av/cable works with the tv, and the headphone jack still outputs audio, just no auido through the Apple dock and hte remote is dead. I purchased the dock from the apple store last year and it was working with both ipod 3g and 4g grrrrr...
Is Apple now in the bug trade business?, trade one for another....

Hi Donavan,
There are two options for zeroing with the NI-9237. You can perform offset nulling and shunt calibration with a strain task, or if you use custom excitation you can use software compensation.
See the Bridge Balancing, Offset Nulling section in the Load, Force, and Torque Measurements tutorial. Take a measurement before the strain is applied and subtract this from all subsequent measurements. See the above tutorial to consider the tradeoff in accuracy between these two options.

to be able to restore you need to put it into recovery mode first so it won't ask for the passcode
this article will go over how to put into recovery mode at the bottom of the article:

basically with it being powered off hold the home button while plugging it in and keep holding the home button until it shows the iTunes logo with a chord and it will then let you restore the device in iTunes
