Office 2013 patches not installing

I am trying to install some updates for office 2013 through Windows update and I keep on getting the error message 80070663 when installing these (8 so far). Other windows patches
install fine. I am running Windows 7 Pro in a Domain environment and am a domain admin running these with full admin privileges.
I have tried just about every fix suggested in every other post
- Rebuilding the Windows Update environment
- Running Sfc (no errors)
- Running the relevant Fixit's (no issues or repairs found)
- Running Chkdsk Scan (no errors)
- Downloading the patches and trying to run them manually (They error out with a applicability test error)
- Running Antimalware and similar scans (nothing)
- Running a repair on Office 2013 (errors out with a 5 error towards the end of the repair - faulting module msvcrt.dll fault offset 35e1
- Downloading and reinstalling the C++ library re-distributables (i.e. msvcrt.dll)
Not this is only on the Office patches and not any other patches which suggests an office problem rather than a Windows update issue.
Anyone got any thoughts - There was a suggestion that this might be caused by missing update packages...

Regarding Office issue, have you tried Repair Office programs from control panel?

Office 2013 will not open unless user is a Domain Admin

In order to get the Office 2013 suite to install from Office 365, I had to make all the users (115 in 4 offices) a domain admin, we then installed the software on everyone's computers and we have migrated our email. However, I now need
to remove all the users from being a domain admin, but when I do none of Office programs will open, no error message, just a spinning wheel for 10 seconds and nothing. I need to remove the users from being a domain admin as they can now see
network drives that they were previously restricted from. All computers are Windows 7 Pro. I have even installed the suite on a brand new computer, installed as admin, login as a domain user and nothing will open.

What's the default right for the user in your domain, domain user?
Can we open the Office application when the domain user is in local administrator group?
Please turn off all of security programs and 3rd-party programs (Windows clean boot) and then launch Office component, such as Word.exe with safe mode. ("Winword.exe /safe") to check if it opens successful in non-domain user rights.
Don't use Office shortcut to open Office but double click the .exe file under %programfiles%\Microsoft Office to check if the office process appears in Windows Task Manager.
In addition, please go to eventvwr to check if there is any errors regarding to permission or Office exist. If so, post it here for further checking. Thanks.

Removing MS office 2013 patches in windows 8.1 machine

Hi all,
Last two months before in have Deployed Ms office 2013 patches (KB2837618) in All windows 8.1 64 Bit workstations .it causing lot of outlook issues.
Now we have to remove that patches almost around 200 PC.
1.I have created task for that patch remove and add the command ""C:\Windows\System32>msiexec /I {90150000-001A-0409-1000-0000000FF1CE} MSIPATCHREMOVE={C40A6D83-E118-4A09-AAC6-A160C0F02002} /qb /norestart""
2.And deployed to device collection but we getting some error in client machine .failed with error code ""'0X80070002"""
3. I have created some method to remove windows patches in same machine and using same this command ""'C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:2781197 /quiet /norestart"""
Its working without any issues.
Please suggest me where in need to correct it.

The command line is wrong. Just use
msiexec /I {90150000-001A-0409-1000-0000000FF1CE} MSIPATCHREMOVE={C40A6D83-E118-4A09-AAC6-A160C0F02002} /qb /norestart
instead.

Microsoft Office 2013 is not working on Windows 8

I downloaded Microsoft office 2 days ago. Since then Window 8.1 update has basically attempted to ruin my life. Since I attempted to download the update (which will not download properly no matter how many times I try) Microsoft office will not
open on my computer. All the apps are still there. But they simply will not open. I have tried going to the start and typing the stuff in safe mode, still nothing happens! Can someone please help me? I am beyond frustrated with my brand new computer,
Windows 8.1, Microsoft, and everything about this situation.

Did only the Office suits not open or all the apps after you upgrading to Windows 8.1? Please do the following tests to narrow down the issue:
First test:
If only the Office suits could not be opened, please go to Office 2013 installed folder, such as C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15 and double click apps to open them.
If all the apps could not be opened, please press win+R and copy the path:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1} to Windows 8 app folder double click apps to open them.
If they are both opened in folder, please try to unpin and repin apps on start screen.
If they still do not work, do the second test.
Second test:
If only the Office suits could not be opened, please try to re-install the Office 2013 to test.
If all the apps could not be opened, Please follow these steps to check the issue.
Step 1: Try App troubleshooter:

Run the following in a Command Window (CMD) to re-register the Store App:

Office 2013 will not open any applications

I am having a problem with a number of users complaining that Office 2013 applications will not open. I double click on the icon, or single click on the tile (Windows 8.1) nothing happens. Looking at the task manager the only thing related to the office
is the Office ClickToRun service is running.
The only thing I can do to get things working again is to do a full repair from the Programs and Features Control Panel Applet. I have tried the quick repair and numerous other things but nothing else works. I have let it go for many hours thinking it may
be installing something but still nothing happens.
Since I know how to fix it, the problem has a work around, however, since I am running a good number of workstations using 2013 this way I am afraid this is going to happen to more users (So far it is three users).
Please help, there must be a way to fix this instead of repairing every time it happens.

Do you try to open Office with below methods?
Go to Office location folder to open Office suits.
Press Win+R>Enter winword.exe (or other)
If we can open them, please follow the KB and re-create the software shortcut in Windows 8.1

If we still can't open them, please first let me know the update lists you have installed before this issue.
Then, restore the system back to the point when the Office app work fine.
As following, we can install these updates one by one to navigate which update cause this issue.
Then post back the KB number and full name here.

Office 2013 VL Local Install with Project and Visio 2013 App-V

Is it supported to have a local install of Office 2013 and deploy a virtual package for Project and Visio 2013 (created via ODT) using App-V 5.0 SP2?I cannot find any reference in the various support articles.

Office 2013 GPO Silent install doesn't run consistently

client is all Dell Win 7. Servers are 2012. Project is to install Office 2013 silently with GPO at computer start. Everything is configured correctly and it works on some computers. I set it install in a larger group by linking the GPO to that group of computers. Told everyone to reboot and waited. Nothing. It didn't install. I know it works because I haven't changed it and I have seenit work multiple times. Try another reboot. Nothing. Then one of them works. Then another. Then another. Not all at once and not always at reboot. Some of them just install in the middle of the day. Is this a "load balancing" feature where all of them are not installed at once so the server isn't overwhelmed? If not, why does it work sometimes and then at random times. The actual install doesn't take very long. Maybe my server doesn't have the horsepower...

I've not tried the Dashboard connection yet.
I will try to connect and setup permissions using TDADM.
This is my thoughts etc. so far;
problem starts when running dpconfig.exe - therefore I can skip re-running (and 'repairing') the install using the MSI
dpconfig doesn't appear to have any command line options? (ran "dpconfig /?" from a command line and still just launched the wizard)
so far, even if permission are or get set correctly, processor hasn't been linked to the share yet - only dpconfig can do that?
had installed the Processor on Server 2012 in Core UI. Thought dpconfig might be trying to launch Explorer, which isn't available in Core, so went up to "Server with GUI" (bypassing "minimal"). However, this didn't change anything. Left at Server with GUI
for now (although would prefer to run as Core if supported - nothing says it isn't?)
by default, our server config blocks all Firewall ports incoming (the out of the box config) only opening up ports as required. I'll try turning the Processor Firewall off.
Seems like not a lot of people do this (install the 2013 Telemetry), as very little online apart from Microsoft pages. Trying to dig through the Powershell script posted (by you Jill?) here;

Sharepoint Foundation 2013 is not Installing on Window 7

When I click on 'Install Sharepoint Foundation" 2013 nothing happen. Same is issue with "Install Sharepoint Foundation Pr-Requisite"

SharePoint 2013 does not support being installed on Windows client (Windows 7 or 8). Instead, try using a Virtual Machine running a supported Server OS. You can use VMware Player (free) on Windows 7, or if you have Windows 8 Pro or Enterprise, Hyper-V.

Office 2013 Will not open documents in a shared folder but 2007 will.

Recently we are testing office 2013 and have noticed a problem. When office attempts to open an Excel or Word document that is stored on a shared drive on the file server it will not open it. When you double click on the document, either word or
Excel, the appropriate Office app opens, but it opens on the start screen, i.e. the one with the templates displayed.
There are no error messages displayed , and it appears that the office app opens twice, i.e you see the splash screen with the app name on it two times in quick succession, however you cannot find two instances of the app open.
If you simply copy the document from the shared drive to the users desktop and then double click the file , the appropriate app opens and the file also opens without a problem.
Also if you go to a client machine with office 2007 loaded on it then the document on the shared drive opens without a problem at all.
The client machine with office 2013 is a Dell E7440 with windows 7 Pro 64bit.

I think its working now.
Here is what I had to do.
Delete Office from the machine once again, this time using the Microsoft tool to remove all remnants of the office software , then manually check the registry to see all the referenced keys had been removed.
Reboot.
Copy all the users data to another location on the same machine.
Delete the users profile.
Reboot.
Reload office using the link Dell sent me.
Reboot.
Log in as a domain admin and check that office would open the documents on the file share and it did.
Reboot.
Log in as the user who’s profile I had deleted so that the profile was recreated.
Attempt to open documents on the file share and it was successful.
Move most of the users data back to the users folder so that his system looked the same as before.
Reboot.
Try again to use office applications and open documents from the file share and it continued to function correctly.
Waited a day for the user to see how it went and it is still working now.
I have no idea what could have been causing this problem or why doing what I did above fixed it.
I hope the problem does not return.
Now we can move on with more testing to see its suitability to our field service engineers, remote connections and connections to our customer systems will be checked next.

Office 2013 outlook (not responding) opening attachments over a WAN link

Before I get to the question I'll give you some info about our arcitecture.
We have 7 remote sites each with 5mb connections.
5-10 computer at each site
We are running exchange 2010 centrally from one server on a 20mb connection.
All clients are running windows 7 64bit with office 2013
We recetly upgraded from office 2003 to 2013 when this problem started.
If a user clicks on an attachment from one of our remote sites, and if the attachment is larger than 150kb the outlook client displays (not responding) for up to two minutes. If you wait long enough the attachment will open without error. It
doesnt matter if its a word docuemnt, PDF, JPG they all respond the same. There are several active application add-ins running I have not tried to disable any of them yet.

According to your description, I understand that all attachments in Outlook are opened slowly since updating Outlook 2003 to 2013. Please confirm whether all users encounter this issue. Also check whether the issue continues in cached mode and in OWA.

Office 2013 key not working

Funny thing happened.
My customer (I am IT sys admin) bought Office 2013 business (recommendation from the previous I.T.) Anyway he got his computer reinstalled because some problem with motherboard, computer returned back from the store and as I tried to install office it said
that the office isn't paired with his account.
Is there any way to describe to which account is this office paired either, how to unpair the office from the account and pair it to customers account ?

Did you mean you have problem reinstall Office 2013 on the same computer?
Office for a retail version can only be installed once at a computer, if there is significant hardware change to your machine, it will be considered as a new computer you will need to contact Microsoft Customer Service and they will help you to activate
your Office suites.
As far as I know, we cannot directly find out the related account for Office suites, however we can install from the following site with our Product keys:

Office 2010 "outlook not installed"

I have a user (I'm their IT support) who has a BB Curve 8350 (?) and when they try to sync to office 2010 (calendar and address book) it lets me configure it in Intellisync but then gives me an "Microsoft Outlook Not Installed" error directly afterwards. Office is very clearly installed because I can open it up and check email etc. I'm using Windows 7 32 bit OS, Office 2010 32 bit and BBDM 6.0.1 B21. Phone is also updated to 5.0.
I've hunted through the forums but haven't found my answer. Any suggestions?

This error occurs because your Office installation may have got corrupted, and the software update cache registration may be missing from the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\<SID>\Patches\<SQUID>
First, please repair Office from Control Panel -> Programs and Features to check if the problem can be fixed.

This is a known issue after installing the default 10.1.3.1 SOA Suite. You must apply some patches after the installation. Here they are:
