Offline approval email for Workflow approver substitiutes

Hi,
We are on SRM 7.1 ECS.
Does the substitute function work true for OFFLINE APPROVAL emails also??
E.g. User B is a substitute of User A.If user A gest the offline approval emai, then should usre B also get the offline approval email?

Hi,
I do not think the report might have the functionality to handle the substitution. May be what you can try is take a copy of the standard report and then try to customize as per your requirement .
Try some thing like below.
1. I assume that to identify a substitute for a user you might be storing these details in some Z table.
2. Take a copy of the standard offline report and then from this custom report read the try to read this table after the original agents are determined.
3. Finally schedule this report. with the same set of parameters that used to schedule the standard report.
But I I think this report actually reads the agents of the workitems and then it tries to send the notification to the same user. So first you have to check out that how the workitem is forwarded to the substitute . If the substitute is also a agent then this report directly sends the notification.

  • Reminder mail for workflow approval

    Hi All,
We have a scheduled task which sends Reminder mails for workflow approval which has been pending for more than 5 days.
Recently I created new workflow definitions and reminder task stopped sending mails.
I checked task and it has IapiTaskIfc Class com.frictionless.custom.wkfreminder.sendWorkflowReminder.
How to check this class and do i need to make changes somewhere else to send reminder mails?
    Regards,
    Prabhat

    Hi Prabhat,
I am working on creating a scheduled task for sending reminder emails. I need help on IapiTaskIfc Class com.frictionless.custom.wkfreminder.sendWorkflowReminder. Can you please share sendWorkflowReminder class to me, so that I can get idea about the code written for sending reminder emails? It would be great help.
To check the class, you need to get the jar from server and decompile it. You can get some idea by looking at the java class file then.

  • Approval Dates for each Approver in Document Details

    Hello,
Please I want to know if this can be done. I need to show the approval dates for each approval step of a document next to the approver name in the iview,
Context Menu of a document -> Details -> Settings -> Approval. (The approval process must be enabled).
    Example:
    Approval Process
    Step
      Approvers
    1 User, Intranet has approved - 25/07/2010 9:10 AM
    2 lastname, name has approved - 27/07/2010 10:08 AM
I don't know if this is possible.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hello,
After searching for days in SDN / HELP, I found that in "km.appl.ui.statemanagement_api.jar" there are ".properties" for all the languages. What takes my attention is the file "ApprovedItemRenderer_en.properties" that has this content,
#File created by SLIM generator ($SP-DIFF-TRANSLATED-FILE$)
    xfld_author=Approved By
    xfld_date=Approved On
The standard portal displays Approved By. But I see that SAP has thought in the approval date? Is there an easy way or how can I activate the property xfld_date?
    Thanks & Regards

  • URL links for Workflow Approval Email per user & others

Hi all, we have upgraded to SRM7 and understand that we have to switch to using program /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND to generate the workflow notification emails. We have maintained the portal information in the SRM configuration to build the link. However, we have 2 issues here
    1. We currently output collective email so emails are sent out at specific timing on a per user rather than per work item basis. The URL link does not seem to work in this case (for shopping cart approval example) and we get an object GUID error. The URL looks something like this
    http://sap-ped.dev.xyz.com/irj/portal/?navigationtarget=obn://BOSystemAlias=SAP_SRM/BOTechnicalName=sc/Operation=detailprof&NavMode=3
Also, even if I run the program for a PO approval example, the BOTechnicalName is still pointing to sc.
However, if I do it on a per work item basis, the URL works.
Does anyone know where the control this setting?
    2. External and internal portal
We have some users connecting to the portal through more secured channel (external portal). In this case, I couldn't find a way to generate the appropriate URL for the external. In the past in the older SRM version, the program was using the attribute ITS_DEST in PPOPMA_BBP to build the URL link. Now, I do not know how the system knows which portal URL to take if the control is no longer at user level.
Has anyone ever had this requirement before?
My worse case scenario to resolve the above issues would be to use the BADI to alter the content of the email notification. The purpose of posting this message here is to ensure that I am not missing out any standard SAP functionality which could meet our requirements.
    Cheers!

  • Generate email for CCM Approval

    Hi,
I've seen mentioned on a couple of posts that it is possible to use method FINALIZE_ENRICHMENT of BADI /CCM/CTLG_ENRICHMENT to generate emails to notify that items require approval in CCM.
Has anyone actually done this and do they have any hints or tips to share?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hello Chris,
I am having a similar requirement were you able to generate the email for the CCM catalog upload? If so please let me know if you proceeded with the method FINALIZE_ENRICHMENT and the logic used.
    Many thanks

  • Notification email for workflow

I have configured the smtp server and also the email transport and channels and the channel orginators.Emails are sent for subscription service and also 'send to' works fine.
But the problem is that the notification emails are not sent to the approvers when a document is sent for an approval cycle.
I have also seen that the permissions for etc\notification folder is readonly for 'Everybody'
Please can any one tell what i am missing.

    Hi Aamod,
Look at the permissions set for the /etc/notifications folder. The "Everyone" group (or at least, the roles for your users) must have read access on this folder which contains the xml templates for the notification e-mails. This could explain why content_admin and super_admin roles receive e-mails and others do not.
    Also check the following links:

  • Custom report for Workflow approval status

    Hi Friends,
For one of my custom workflow the client needs a custom report to know the approval status. This custom workflow will be a multilevel approval and they want to know the status based on the object key(document number) like who has approved it at what time, who else has to approve etc which standard workflow tables can be used for this? Please advice.

Thanks for the update, but how is this possible if two of them are completely different solutions?
This is a tecnical forum, accuracy is key. The word "and" doesn't really work in the above statement.

  • Garbage Mail in Outlook 2007 for  workflow  approval and completion

    Dear SRM Gurus,
We have implemented SRM 7.0 and are currently facing issue with outlook 2007 integration.
The workflow work item mail are getting Fwd to Outlook  after scheduling  the report /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND with option
    - one e-mail per workitem
    -HTML format
    - approval button not available.
However the  work item mail is coming with garbage content.  earlier we have formating issue and then implemented OSS Note 1482125 , after that entire mail content is a garabage mail in outlook.  the format of the mail in SOST is now showing "HTM"  and  in SOST mail  looks good.
Have anyone experienced this issue earlier ?
Or  does  outlook 2007 only  support  plain text format and not  HTML format.
Any help in this will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Iftekhar Alam

    Dear Iftekhar,
I guess your problem is the HTM format of the mails, as Outlook 2007 does not use browsers but MS Word to display the mails. You should try to send the RAW format.
For Outlook 2010, HTM is supported again, but weu2019re using RAW format, too, for that version.

  • Requistion Approval Issue for iProcurement Approval Flow

    Hi,
The instance details upon which i'm currently working are as follows,
    R12 Instance
    RDBMS : 11.1.0.7.0
    Oracle Applications : 12.1.1
I'm currently working towards resolving an issue where in all the requisitions submitted by a particular user through iProcurement are resulting into the status Incomplete.
After submission by the user the requisition approval workflow is kicked off and the approval request notifications are being sent out.
The approvers have approved the notification as well.
Inspite of all the approvals being gathered for this requisition, the workflow completes but the requisition status is set to Incomplete.
Any pointers as to why this might be the case. Also could you suggest where i need to be looking to resolve this issue.
The workflow i repeat always completes normally.
Any suggestions or advise is much appreciated!!

  • Changing the Offline approval email in SRM 7.0

    Hi all,
Im working on SRM 7.0(SP1).Im workng on customising the email content for the offine approval email for Shopping cart. The SAP help says the badi BBP_OFFLINE_APP_BADI needs to be used  for this.
Now I need to make some changes to the main body of the email. However when i tried debugging this badi,I found out that I cannot read the main body o fthe email in this BADI(Only subject line is available and the first 3 openig lines).I mainly need to change the Item details(dislayed in tabular format) and a/c assignment details(also displayed in tabular format). However I cannot read these details(Item n a/c assignment) in this BADI...
Has anybody worked on similar requirement?I have used this BADI previously in SRM 5.0 successfully. However in SRM 7.0,I found this problem in modifying the email contents for offline approval.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

which reports are using to send workitem ? since 2 rbbp and rsm  reports sends workitem so i think you must drill into the report how workitems are generated and that workitem needs to be modified.
In sost you might seen content of the mail which you are gonna sent.

  • How to use a pwa group in CREATE A TASK PROCESS in SPD 2013 for project server workflow approval process

I am working on a Project Server 2013 workflow. I am creating this using Sharepoint Designer 2013. In this workflow I am using approval process at one stage. I have created a security group SalesManagers in PWA. I want to use this group for workflow approval
process. I want all users of this group get approval tasks.
For this I used START A TASK PROCESS activity in the SP Designer. I clicked on
this user and created task process. But here I could not find SalesManager group which I created in PWA. I was only able to find the users. I can also see
Administrators for PWA . But couldnot find SalesManager or any other security group created in pwa.
Can anyone suggest how I can get the security group created in pwa.

    NBDevelopment,
I believe SPD only recognizes the SharePoint Groups and not the project server security groups.
The Administrators for PWA, and few other groups like Project Managers for PWA etc., are synced SharePoint Groups with the security groups, which is why they show up in SPD.
You could create a SharePoint Group for the Sales Managers group and use that in SPD.

  • Custom Approval Screen required for workflow to be executed via CRM Web UI

My requirement is to create a custom approval screen for workflow. I am Not aware as to how to create a custom approval screen for workflow that could view via CRM Web UI and Execute the workitem as well.
Experts please help me with the creation of a task with custom approval screen.

Hi Surjith, thanks for your answer but is not the right one.
This is an standard method and is working fine, I think the problems must be in some setup I have to do but I'm missing.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Unexpected PO Approval Emails

I have a user who has started to get seemingly random PO Approval emails for a specific supplier. The Supplier and their associated iSupplier account seem to be complete, with no empty email fields. I have seen cases where many setups were missed and the WF Mailer fell back to using the SYSADMIN email, but nothing quite like this. I am familiar with the basics of workflows and find that the Recipient_Role for this notification is adhoc and that the corresponding record in WF_ROLES (and WF_LOCAL_ROLES) has a NULL email address.
Can anyone explain how the appropriate email, and any fallbacks, is derived in the POAPPRV workflow? A point toward a more general "working backward from a Notification to the query that derived the email" article would also get the job done. I am working in EBS 11.5.10.2 and can provide any more details that may be able to help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Leon

Most of the similar issues in metalink point to bugs, but all of them are because of some setup issues which are resolved by patches. In our case since the approvals emails are diaplying the information fine after workflow bounce i believe the issue might be some thing related to workflow and not with PO setup.
    thanks.

  • Submitted form immediately redirects in workflow approval

I've created a form submission process following this description https://blogs.oracle.com/kyle/entry/adding_ucm_web_forms_to_site_s and associated the submission with a workflow
It works, the form gets into ucm and workflow is triggered. However, the confirmation page, what the "form" redirects to after submission shows right away after clicking on the link in the email approval message.
The service used is SUBMIT_HTML_FORM and the redirect is defined as
                   var currentElement7 = document.createElement("input");
                   currentElement7.setAttribute("type", "hidden");
                   currentElement7.setAttribute("name", "RedirectUrl");
                   currentElement7.setAttribute("value", "<!--$ssNodeLink(ConfirmationPage)--><!--$AdditionalConfirmParameters-->");
                   aForm.appendChild(currentElement7);
Any ideas on how to prevent the redirect when the form shows for workflow approval ?
    Thanks ...

    Hello Laxman !
You have stated as follows :
When i assign method in task there is one tick mark to run in back ground that is in display mode
so not able to put in background.
The method you have created in SWO1 could be dialog one. That's why you aren't able to set as back ground in task. So, uncheck the "Dialog" check box under "General" tab.
Since you are unable to open the Adobe form , the problem could be with binding. Also make sure you pass all the required parameters.
Please go through the below URL which gives additional details about how to attach Adobe forms as an attachment to work item : http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/60ff6ad3-729b-2b10-6582-fedc82680a29
