ok, so my iphone was factory reset, but it backed up right before it lost its data. i tried to restore using my mac, but my mac says that it hadnt backed up, even though it definately did. please help. i have an iphone 5c by the way. thanks
you can try to download your icloud backups to computer, such as Tenorshare iPhone data recovery. this tool have 3 way to find back iphone data .
1, directly recover data fom iPhone (your devices have been factory reset, this way no useful)
2, extract data from your iTunes backup (if you sync your iphone 5c to iTunes before)
3, download iCloud backup files to computer. (use your Appple ID and load your data to computer)
just try it~~ good luck for you!

So I accidentaly messed up my files, and the greek passcode won't register on Itunes like the numerical passcode did. How am I to get into my phone thru itunes? Is there a way for me to take the greek from a website and copy and paste into the passcode, because i tried it and it didn't work. Someone please help.
Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync. -
ITunes lost all of its data will my iPad lose all of its data too?
I opened my iTunes then all my music, movies, etc. are gone. I'm afraid if my iPad/itouch will lose all of its data if I sync it to my empty iTunes.
if you do a sync with itunes on your computer before the restore and a sync after the restore (making sure you have set all the the things you want synched turned on) - it should put all of the data back on your restore ipad
when you do a restore (making sure you did a sync before the restore) - check restore from backup not restore as a new device -
I lost all my ipod songs when my mom plugged her exact same ipod (5th generation nano) into my computer. She did not get my songs on hers but somehow I lost mine. I tried the five R's and evrything I could find online. I cannot get the songs from my iTunes library back on my ipod. I get a message that says. "Gina's ipod cannot be restored because it is being used in another application." Please help me
Why do you need to restore your iPod to resync your content back over to it from your iTunes library? You should just be able to configure the content to sync to your device as you did before this problem occurred.

iphone 6 wont turn on after i updated it to ios 3.8. tells me i have to connect to itunes so i did and it doesnt let me restore my phone, it always says an error occured, wha do i do?
If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

How do I authorize my 100+ previously purchased itunes music that is in protected aac form? It prompts that my computer is not authorized even though it is.
are you saying that your computer is autharized from guessing, or do you know it is becuase it says it. in itunes, go to the advanced tab and the last option in that tab should be either aurhorize, or de-authorize. What does it say?

My contacts on my old Iphone I gave a family member were deleted then synced to icloud. My current iphone lost all its contacts when it next synced. I retreived a 6mth old backup to get my contacts, but I want my recent messages back, any help?
The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone. -

Lost all of my data on iphone and have no cloud back up how can i get my data back
lost all of my data on iphone and have no cloud back up how can i get my data back
iOS devices do backup automatically to iCloud providing:
iCloud Backup is turned on
It has a Wi-Fi connection
It is connected to a power source
The screen is off
5GB is plenty of storage for me to backup to iCloud automatically.
I have a 64GB iPhone & a 128GB iPad both backing up to the same iCloud account and I still have nearly 2GB free.
This is mainly because media is not backed up and Photo Stream & iTunes purchases do not count against your iCloud storage.
Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Purchase history for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. Some types of content aren’t downloaded automatically in all countries, and previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store. For more information, see the Apple Support article iTunes in the Cloud availability by country. Some types of content aren’t available in all countries. Not good.
They are likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup. -
my iphone 4 died even though it had plenty of battery, and shows no sign of life until i put it on to charge where it shows the apple sign every now and then but just turns off again after a few seconds.....HELP!!!!
Could be a defective battery, you should get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place.

I recently got a new iphone from the apple store and i forgot to back up before getting one, so i backed up on the icloud for the first time, i had alot of photos ect so i chose to not back them up to save time when i was with my genius guy. But now all my photos are gone, obviously. But im just wondering if i could restore my iphone to the previous back up i had on my mac. Is this possible? I just want my photo stream back !
ThanksIf you are in the US then you should be able to download some or all of your films : re-downloading. If you are not in the US then have you not got them on your computer's iTunes and/or on a backup ?

i got new iphone and when i connect it to my pc, it lost all my current data and replaced it with the backup on my computer, which is from april. so i have lost all my calendar information and schedule. does anyone know how i can reverse this and get my information back?
Every backup replaces the old one, so, unless you included the backup folder in your computer backup routine, you can't get back your calendar info.
The only time iTunes will not replace a backup is, when you use it to restore from, this one will stay in the backup list in iTunes.

When I plug my iPhone into my iMac via USB I can choose to "back up to this computer". On another sync to my iMac, can I choose to " back up to the iCloud"? This way I could restore all my info and settings from either source. Is this possible?
On the phone, under Settings > iCloud you can select to turn iCloud ON or OFF.
One iTunes, it senses that toggle and if you had selected iCloud it will say backup to iCloud. Here you can change the toggle to backup to computer and click "Apply" prior to syncing.
I do both for good measure. I backup to computer and then after i disengage the device from the computer, I set the iCloud toggle back to ON and then perform the iCloud backup over wifi.
I found that using iTunes and saying to backup to iCloud isn't always successful in the "last backed up" time and thus I do it separately.
