Omnia and lg hbm-210

When i first got the Omnia and the blg hbm-210 I was able to listen to my text messages on the bluetooth but after i had to replace the Omnia with another one, I have not been able to do this. Can anyone help?

Try enabling your voice command. The steps are below.
1. Tap the Today screen, tap the right soft key function Main menu , then select Settings and click on Voice Command
2. Tap the enable box to enable/disable the voice command feature.
3.  Tap the menu application and select Messages to indicate that you would like this application to be accessible via Voice Command.  Hope this helps!

    11. replaced the power injector... same problem.
    12. replaced the patch cord from root bridge to switch....  this lasted for more than 12 hours and the problem came back.
    13. switch show log only show that there has been a switchport reset on the port where the root bridge is connected.
    14.
what coudl be the problem here.
    thanks, experts!

Can you please give us some more info so we get better understanding.
    - If sector antenna are working fine then why to replace one of them?
    - Why using sector antenna? why not directional antennas?
    - Provide - if possible - a simple sketch about how your bridges are connected ( I currently imagine that the HQ is in the middle and there is one root bridge on each side of it one bridge communicates with another non-root bridge and all 3 buildings are -almost- on straight ilne).
    - What vendor/model of sector antennas you use?
I would say seeing the switchport issue is not normal. The bridge should not normally disappear from the switch port.
What I suggest is to upgrade the IOS if it is not already on lates version (read the release notes of the newer release before using it to upgrade).

  • Problems with Modbus OMNI driver

    Lookout version 5.1 (build 8)
I am using the Modbus OMNI driver to communicate with 6 OMNI 6000 flow computers at 56K (Hardwired) with a poll rate of every 20 seconds, receive gap 270 bytes and a failure of 1000mS.
The problem I have is that when scanning the OMNI, not only are they slow to respond hence the long delays between scans, but I am also finding that the OMNI data for handling digital outputs is being corrupted causing?? them to fire faster than the period I have set in the OMNI. i.e. if I set a pulse output to occur when 1m3 of fluid has past I should get one pulse from the digital output. What is happening is that the outputs slowly start firing much quicker than this until we lose control of the signal and have to reconfigure the flow computer.
Is there a possibility that Lookout is corrupting some of the memory areas within the OMNI and causing this.
I see from other users that they are having problem with slow responses from this driver.
Any advice you have on this matter would be useful

  • Hp mini 210 1040eh: a 10.8v or an 11.8v battery

    Hi!
I have my netbook (hp mini 210 1040eh) for years. I'm going to change the battery because the primary one is not functioning properly. This one has a characteristic of 10.8V. I was searching for  a replacement with bigger capacity (5600mAh), and mostly found only with 11.1V.
If I  buy one with 11.1V is it going to make problems for my netbook?
Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello @moni17
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I have included the maintenance and service guide for your notebook. Inside it shows the compatible replacement parts. Anything that is not included on the list has not been tested to work with the hardware, and could cause potential problems.  HP Mini 2102, HP Mini 210, and Compaq Mini 210 - Maintenance and Service Guide
If you were to use a power adapter that charges at a higher voltage it is likely going to result in a  higher level of current within  the computer, which is going to make it run hotter at the very least.
    I hope this helps.

  • OmniFocus and the Home button

I've installed OmniFocus for the iPad and synchronised it with OmniFocus for Mac; love the software, love the features. Excellent stuff. Very highly recommended.
However, since this installation I have had intermittent problems with the Home button on the iPad: it responds to a double click, not to a single click.
I've sent a support request to Omni, and am currently restoring the iPad to see if that fixes it.
    Anyone else had similar problems?

Thanks for this - it's useful and I've read those threads.
I've done the full system restore and managed to reset the iPad, too. Not easy with a defective Home button. It's not fixed the problem.
This does look like a defective piece of hardware. I'll have to get to a Genius bar...

  • SunMC 3.0 and 3.5 - E450 and ultra10 black splat problem

    Hi all,
Don't know if this is the right forum, but if not, then I am sure you will re-direct me.
I have just recently configured up all of our Sun servers, ranging from 3800's Exxx and new SunFire 210's 240's 880's 440's etc. All are now working fine with a little help from the Forum aswell.
My remaining problem is that I have an E450 and an Ultra10 that are showing as having a black splat. I am fully aware that this does not necessarily mean that there are any components in Alarm, but does leave the console looking rather messy and indicitive of a failure to the untrained eye (IT director in particular)
I have tried version 3.0 and 3.5 of the agent, but still the problem persists.
It appears to be with the hardware config reader system section, which does not bring back any information.
The agent log file shows the following messages which seem to point to a missing file.

These two systems are the only systems that appear to have the problem through the whole enterprise.
On thinking through the problem we have other E450's (but only 1 U10) and they all seem to be working as expected. The problem common denominator appears to be that both of these servers have been installed using 3.5 BUT their OS versions are 5.6 (BINGO I think). Do you think that I would be better downgrading the version of SUNMC to a pre 3.0 version? Or would the only way around this be to upgrade the OS to 5.8(minimum)
What do you think? Could I be on the right track?????
    Cheers

  • Any OMNIS subscribers had success with iWeb '08?

I followed the instructions from iWeb and spoke to OMNIS and got instructions from them. I've successfully changed the DN to CNAME web.mac.com. I wasn't sure what information to put in the "Content" window. I've tried a few different things. I made these switches three days ago and still when I type in my address it takes me to the OMNIS page. Have I missed something? Anyone else have the same problem? Help. Thanks

Glad to hear that it worked for you. But I am really starting to wonder where I went wrong then, because I did not use third-party anything with iWeb, and I can't update my '06 domain file. iWeb just freezes, shows as "Not responding" and in red in the Force Quit window. I don't believe there's any point in trying to wait that out.
And not only that, but when starting over with a fresh domain file, iWeb '08 crashes or freezes all the time too. I'm a big Apple fan, and I haven't lost anything important because I backed it all up and have a second Mac to rely on, but seriously, this is bad. It's just bad. I can't come up with any excuses for this one (or the stripped-down new iMovie, but I digress). I have a straightforward site -- based on "modern" template -- I don't understand why the new version of iWeb can't read it. I understand even less why iWeb '08 would be crashing with a brand new domain file.
    My site is here: http://web.mac.com/mousie/iWeb/Site/Home.html
If anyone can see any reason why I may be having these problems, please let me know. I've tried all the tricks to "get it to work" that I could find on this forum. Thanks.

  • What Feature/Basic phone works in the US and can d...

I am looking for a phone that works in the US, is a feature/basic phone, and can handle group chat/messaging. The last requirement is the hard part. I want a feature phone that will group message like a smart phone were it bundels the messages in a single chat and responds to the chat, unlike my current basic phone that get a group message and when i give a response is sends it to each member of the chat individually.
This feature is hard to find in the specifications of nokia phones, but im thinking that the Asha 210 or the Nokia 220 might support this feature and i also like the phones.
if these phones can do this please let me know, if you know of another phone that can do this please let me know.

Welcome to our community, kb108904. The Nokia 220 and Nokia Asha 210 support send to many/groups feature and you will receive their reply individually. Both phone models support IM/chat feature. You have to use the Facebook app or similar app though. Note that the group messaging feature can be seen on those smartphones like Windows Phone 8. You may find the list here: Lumia phones. Let us know if you have any clarifications.

  • VPN Causes Xserv to slowdown and stops services

    Hey guys,
I have noticed when someone vpn's into the server it causes the other services that are running to slow down and gives the spinning domino's at the bottom of the server admin screen and all of the services that are indicated by the green buttons get hyphens on them. Everything on the server is movable, like mouse so I know the server is not locked up but I can notice that when someone vpn's it causes the services to go slower and causes the mail to give errors on people on our network. Any suggestions??
    G5 Xserv   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    VPN clients are given 10.20.100.201 - 209
    DHCP clients are given 10.20.100.10 - 200
Servers are >.10 and printers are <.210 for our office.
    I set the routing definition to 10.20.100.0 // 255.255.255.0 // private
The server has 3 NIC cards inside it.
The Built in NIC (eth0) is serving the 10. subnet with an address of 10.20.100.1
eth1 is an apple gig-e card, connected to our SDSL line with a static IP
eth2 is an apple gig-e card, connected to nothing.
I am able to connect SMB shares on the server when connected to the VPN by entering their implicit path in windows //server01/sharedocs, or by afp://10.20.100.1 once the connection is made.
While I remain connected the server is still allowing mail & WebDav connections to our Kerio mail, and webmail users can still get mail. However within a few minutes of disconnecting no one is able to get mail either through entourage, mac mail, outlook or webmail. I am at that point unable to SSH or Timbuktu Pro connect to the server (they time out) i can bring up webmail, and log in, but it hangs at that point, I can bring up the Admin HTTPS page of the kerio server and view settings and status (0 clients connected)
I am wondering if this isnt some issue between the VPN and OpenDirectory, because SSH uses the usernames in open directory, so is Timbuktu, the mail server is getting its users from open directory, so is WebDav, but the Admin account of the webmail is hardwired into the server and not pulled from OpenDirectory. I have nothing but that to go on, and i lack the knowledge to know where to look to test that theory.

  • Should I get the Samsung Omnia?

    Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help me out in making a decision on a Verizon phone. I have been battling between the Samsung Omnia and Palm Centro. The only reason I chose these was because they have chat style texting(threaded ). If I didn't want this feature so badly I'd have a better selection.
I used to have a treo and I liked it, I'm now thinking the Palm OS is a little outdated and the centro is very tiny. Thoughts?
The Omnia though seems to have horrid reviews from Mac users.
Has anyone had success with MissingSync? Can you transfer songs to the Omnia? Perhaps via bluetooth?
Or if you know of other phones with chat style texting..
    Mahalo!

    Hi MahaloNui,
I hope you are still monitoring this thread. I too, used Palm OS devices and have just retired my Tungsten E2. I agree that the Centro is too small and it seemed rather flimsy to me. Also, I am aware that Palm is dropping PalmOS for NetOS. The Omnia is very similar to the WM phone I just bought, the LG Incite. Missing Sync for WM works fine with it with a few caveats: you have to turn everything off, except for the communications type you are using to sync with your Mac and Contacts syncing sometimes provides unexpected results. Both Bluetooth and USB syncing work fine. I did have one, so far unreproducible problem with USB when I kept the phone mounted for a long time while doing other things. The USB controller on the Mac stopped working, and I had to disconnect my hub to get things working again. Syncing music is easy and has never hiccupped. You also have to remember to turn of Missing Sync's Bluetooth connection if you wish to use another Bluetooth device. When I forget, Missing Sync tries to connect with my Bluetooth stereo headphones which really hoses the Bluetooth stack.

  • Coupling between component controller and view controller

    Hello,
I have seen some discussions in this forum regarding the possibilities of calling / triggering a view controllers's method from a component controller's method;  obviously the Web Dynpro framework only provides for the other direction (view ctrl -> comp ctrl) via handle <i>wd_comp_controller</i>.
Some people proposed raising events in the comp controller and catching these in the view controller, others pointed out that any dependance of a view controller on a component controller would violate MVC principles.
Now, I can't see why a tighter coupling (in both ways) between controllers within one component would harm MVC in any way. So I suggest to "register" a view controller in the pertaining component controller if necessary:
    this_controller = wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
    wd_comp_controller->register_view_ctrl_XYZ( this_controller ).
This way the component controller can save the reference and later call any method on it. What do you think, does anything argue against this practice?
    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,
I wouldn't try to explain whether it is violating the MVC principles or not.
Can you please explain how to call methods of view using the view controller?
have you tried using an example???
I want to give a small example which I think is a basic disadvantage of calling View methods from component controller.
Suppose I have 30 methods in a view and such 7 views in a component (I think this is a very common example).
Till now one is very clear that if I have a method in view, it will be called at maximum by other methods with in the view. That means at any point of time, my search is limited to 30 methods.
Now if component controller can also call my search will become horrible and spread to 210 methods, unless otherwise, you are very good at naming attributes and wont make the mistake of assigning attributes wrongly.
Imagine the effort if the outside components also access these methods through interface.
Also I dont think that the webdynpro phase model can support this way of calling view methods. You might be successful once, but then you are trying to open a can of worms.
This is my way of thinking...
Also, it would be great if you can tell me whether you are successful in calling views methods or not???
    Thanks,
    Anand

  • I set MIDI CHANNEL to receive a specific Channel, it nevertheless receives OMNI.

When in LOGIC PRO, I set the MIDI CHANNEL to receive a specific Keyboard Controller assigned Channel, on any channel strip, that strip continues to receive OMNI and respond to ALL Keyboards plugged in by USB.  What am I doing wrong?  It has to be so simple I am missing it!
    Thanks in advance!

No problem, just to let you know, this works perfectly here.
This same sort of craziness happens to me when I am explaining things to other people so I understand completely.  I usually use Digital Performer.  I am trying to make all of this work in LOGIC as a means of using Synths with a Live Orchestra in rehearsals and concert.  Unlike DP, Logic comes with all of the needed sounds, and can be set up in a template that Conductors can simply download.
I've used another "system" with MIDI instruments and so forth since 1980 (yes I'm that old!)... but LOGIC and MAINSTAGE eliminate the need for modules and a whole bunch of hardware.
If we could speak or iCHAT on the phone, I sure would appreciate it.  It has to be something VERY simple that I am not seeing because of my unfamiliarity with LOGIC.  The good news is, I have a system now that works for MAINSTAGE.  The better news would be, making all of this work in LOGIC and the template I have already designed.  My email is [email protected] if you would like to exchange numbers.
    Thanks again!
I'm able to receive MIDI data on independent channels, with each channel being routed to the correct instrument. Problem has to be in your setup.

    1) differecne between double band and single band antenna
    2) does 1040 1140 1240 1260 access point support RP-TNC Connectors (antenna).
can i select these access points with any antenna wth RP-TNC Connectors
    3) what is the difference between omni and dipole antenna
(they both have circular coverage )
    Regards

    Hi,
    1) differecne between double band and single band antenna
ANS - Single-band Antennas use a 2.4-GHz band and dual-band antennas use both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz  band.
    2) does 1040 1140 1240 1260 access point support RP-TNC Connectors (antenna).
can i select these access points with any antenna wth RP-TNC Connectors
ANS - 1040 , 1140 are integrated antennas and does not have RP TNC connectors.. the 1240 and 1260 comes with RPTCN connectors to connect the antenna.
    3) what is the difference between omni and dipole antenna
(they both have circular coverage )
ANS - The below link will provide the depth info regarding different antenna.

  • ASA 5505 Isolated Networks with Site-to-Site VPN Access

I'm in the process of setting up an ASA 5505 for a remote site and needed some assistance determining if what I want to do is possible as well as if I need to upgrade the license from Base to Security Plus.
    Remote Site ASA 5505 Interfaces:
Outside (Interface 0) - Public Internet, Static IP (Connected to Sierra Wireless AirLink Gateway)
    AMI (Interface 1) (VLAN 742) - 10.40.31.129/25
    SCADA (Interface 2) (VLAN 772) - 10.70.0.5/30
I need to ensure that the two internal VLANs cannot access/talk to one another and the "SCADA" network cannot access Internet, just remote subnets across a VPN tunnel.
ASA will need to have three IPsec tunnels:
    Tunnel 1 to SCADA Firewall
    Remote Site - 10.70.0.4/30 Subnet
    Central Site - 10.101.41.0/24 Subnet
    Tunnel 2 to Corporate Firewall
    Remote Site - 10.40.31.129/25 Subnet
    Central Site - 192.168.110.0/24 and 192.168.210.0/24 Subnet
    Tunnel 3 to Partner Firewall
    Remote Site - 10.40.31.129/25 Subnet
    Partner Site Subnets
The ASA is running 9.1(5) and ASDM 7.1(6).
I've attached a diagram of what the connections look like between sites.

I reviewed your diagram attached and trying to give you as much as I can.
other gurus, pls correct me if I am missing anything.
if I remember correctly, with base license, you can set up vpn peers.

Note: on the other side of the firewalls, like SCADA side, CORP Side and Partner FW side, you need to configure same pre-shared key, same crypto ike 1 and 2 policies & same interesting traffic in order to have this working.
let us know how this works.
