On MouseUp not working in .exe

Hey, Everybody. I have an autorunning .exe file on a DVD-ROM
with several buttons. One of them launches the VIDEO_TS.ifo file in
the appropriate directory, and quits the .exe using the following
script.
on mouseUp
dosOpenFile(the moviepath & "..\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO",
"maximized")
quit
end mouseUp
I've used this script before without incident, but now it's
not working at all. When I delete the dosOpenFile, and leave quit,
it still doesn't work. Changing the event handler to mouseDown
doesn't work, either.
However, if I change mouseUp to mouseEnter, it works
perfectly. Is there some reason that my mouseUp and mouseDown
wouldn't be coming through in the projector???

Sounds like some other handler is receiving the event message

Do you have another sprite on top of the button? Or, do you
have a global mouseUp or mouseDown that isn't passing the value
through?

ESC key not working in exe.

Hi,
I'm using Captivate 5 and after publishing an exe project, when we view it, I cannot close the full screen published exe project via the ESC key. Nothing happens. I've heard of the Enter key closing out exe files, but not about the ESC key not working.

Have you ensured that Captivate has been updated with all service releases?
I could be wrong but I seem to recall a service release fixed this issue.

External URL links not working in .exe

I have created a training programme using Adobe Captivate 7 which includes hyperlinks to websites and documents on a DVD Rom as a .exe
I have managed to open the documents, however the URL hyperlinks are not working. I have had these working in previous versions of Adobe Captivate without having to change any 'Global Settings'. The issue being that I can't expect all of the learners who take the course to change their Global settings when they use it.
How come this has changed in the new version?

I know you said you didn't need to set Flash Security in previous versions, but I've been using Captivate since version 1 and it's always worked this way for me. Only if you publish to HTM/SWF and launch from a web server can you use Open URL actions on external files without needing to configure Flash Security.

Exit button not working in exe file made with Aggregator

Hi,
I created an .exe file using Aggregator in full screen mode but the exit button on the skin doesn't work. When I click the exit button, the dislay hiccups (wobbles a bit) but the file keeps playing and doesn't close. This is especially problematic since this occurs in full screen. The only way to exit is by hitting the Escape key on the keyboard. The exit button works fine in individual .exe files of the modules; it's just in the aggregated .exe file that the exit button doesn't work. Is there anything special I need to do to make the exit button work with Aggregator?

Hi, this is more J2EE related stuff, SAP came with a solution but is taking ages to get the next page after the "Exit" button is pushed:
Go to VisualAdnmin >server(n) >Services >Configuration Adapter >
(Right side Pane) webdynpro >sap.com >tcwddispwda >PropertySheet
default.
Edit the property sheet and change the custom value for the property
"sap.locking.maxWaitInterval" to 200.
Note 1113811, explains why these kind of errors happen.
I still waiting for a better solution from SAP.

You changed the password in J2EE instance , however maybe the change didn't go thru into the Database.

File copy does not work with exe files

I used BufferedReader and BufferedWriter to make copy of an exe file in local drive. Nothing was strange in this code. But I wonder the newly created exe file is denied "..exe is not a valid win32 application" by Windows. I could see the bytes are copied. Is that something like header of exe file is damaged etc ??

Readers and Writers are for text. For binary data use InputStream and OutputStream.

Cursor won't show in text fields, Google Street View mouseup not working

My wife and I have nearly identical computers and update Firefox whenever a new version comes out.
Lately, only on her computer, when she clicks into the address bar or into a text field, the cursor sometimes does not appear. In some other text fields it does appear. In the address bar, whenever you click in it and then type, there is no cursor, and the entire address bar is always overwritten.
In Google Street View (I think it uses the Flash player), she can start dragging, but then the mouse "won't let go" - it is as if the mouse up command is ignored. I have to drag the mouse outside the picture area and then back in, or the dragging will continue.

Specific driver (tkdpo7k) not working in .exe

Hi, I am currently using the IVIscope driver together with the specific driver tkdpo7k. Running the labVIEW code in the labVIEW IDE has no problem but when I build my code into .exe format and run my code, my code returns something like this
The following image is a simpler version of my labVIEW code.
I have tried to debug the application file and probed to check the instrument handler wire before the tkdpo7k block and found out that the logical name is indeed transfered. But everytime the execution reachs the tkdpo7k block, the error above pops out. Does anyone experience this and has any solution for that?

It does sound like the indicator rounding up due to the number of significant digits being displayed and rounding up.

Native deployment (self-contained) icon integration not working for .exe?

I am having issues replacing the default icon that is used for the native installer. I referred to this guide: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/self-contained-packaging.htm#BCGICFDB
Using the latest stable v. of JavaFX and NetBeans. The tutorial only had sample instructions for Mac OSX, but I assume they are similar to Windows. What I did was create 2 directories inside my projects root folder (given that my project is called test ) and place an .ico file:
test\package\windows\test.ico
When I dist build the project I get the following message: +Using default package resource [application icon] (add package/windows/test.ico to the class path to customize)+
Does this work for anyone? Any idea where the error might be in my case?

Content Filter block attachment .scr/.cab etc... not working inside archive

Hi,
We have trouble that Content Filter for blocking attachments executable, scr, and cab is not working if .exe, .scr, or.cab are inside 7zip, zip or rar archive.
How deep inside attachment ESA goes, if any?
Antivirus config is set to 5 and some viruses passed like CryptoWall as .scr and .cab.
So, we are blocking that extension but this time they were inside archive.

Currently if there are viral definitions within the attachment, the AV engine would be the first line of defence, if you for some reason notice some viral attachments bypassing your ESA, please open a TAC case so we can escalate the sample to Sophos for you to capture.
As per content filtering.
The scan depth on how deep it will go into a system is defined in 'scanconfig' in the CLI.
This will show your current recursion depth.
As per .cab and .7z attachments not being properly captured if .scr or .exe are inside it
Currently there are some Enh request to allow the unpacking/decompression of these archive files to capture things inside it, at the moment the request is still undergoing review.
As a temporary measure you can proactively send .7z and .cab files to the quarantine for your administrative review --
The ESA will however be able to seek the executable should it be shrouded inside the .rar/.gzip and .zip archives however.

Lenovo T430 - VMware Player - Windows 7 - webcam is not working

I have Windows7 and VMware PLayer.
Webcam is working fine on my Host - it is recognized as ThinkVantage Virtual Camera.
On WMware player webcam is not recognized.
I have tried such drivers on VMware player:
g1c814ww.exe - installed - but webcam is not working
grcu07ww.exe - error message on vmware: Not Supported
Saying honestly I need such driver (make a copy from my host): ThinkVantage Virtual camera
But I need *.INF files. Unfortunately on my Host system I have found only *.SYS files for these driver.
Does anybody know how to enable Integrated camera on WMware player?

Hi Manish,
I've done this several times with Win 7 Pro. IIRC the procedure is to not try to activate during installation. Run the full install without a key. Reboot and attempt to activate. If that fails there should be a link or phone number offered that you can call for phone activation.
Here in the US anyway the calling the number gets you an automated activation process.

This is a new one on me.
It's a server program to interface with QuickTime and some other problematic services.
If you use video or 3D in Photoshop Extended, you probably need it.
Sounds like you are correct in that it has to do wtih Quicktime. Do you have PS extended?
