One digit in customer number missing in Export to excel download

Dear All,
           We have a customized report for customer collection.The output of this report is as per desired. But when we download it to excel last digit in customer master is missing.That means say customer number is 1100051 while we export to excel customer number showing is 110005 , last digit gets missing. This is for all the customers.
          One more point I would like to state here. In that report we have 2 radio buttons. Bank Receipt and Down Payment . This error is coming only for Down payment radio button.
          Can anybody please help me solve this issue.

debug and see the internal table values ,whether the customes is comming fully and also check the fiels length for
that customer .

Serial Number Transaction Report export to excel but serial not exported

Hi Experts,
I'm trying to export Serial Number Transaction Report to excel in a client database (SP00 PL47). Basically, the report has two screen, the Serial Number (Top) and Transactions for Serial Number (Bottom). When I try to export it, it only export the Transaction for Serial Number. We Need the serial number to be exported, how do we go about this? I tested same database on SP01 PL07 and exported the Serial Number and Transactions for Serial Number. Why is it working in other database, do we have settings that we need to configure?

Hi Don,
In the serial number transaction report, when you click on the excel tab the Save as window will open just cancel the first window there is onther window opened, just save that window under the other name e.g. 123.
because both the window has same name.
Then check the excel file.

Maximum number of rows export to excel from WebI

Hello,
I have a WebI Report in BO 4 SP6 which has 14 columns and 80,000 rows. I opened the report in WebI (Internet explorer) and clicked on the export icon but nothing happened. this report was being run for a month 201301.
So I modified the same report with 1 week's data which is 4500 rows and when I exported it to excel 2007 and it worked.
My questions are:
1- how do I export 80,000 rows of data to excel?
2- what servers/services are responsible for exporting data to excel?
3- any other opinions that you can share which might help me.
PS: I have not test this in rich client since rich client is not being used by users, Users only use WebI.

After you click on export to excel. wait for some time for the pop up to come up.... Even after some time if it doesn't come up and throw a timeout error "Missing sEntry parameter", then you can try by increasing the time limit. But I won't recommend this since, this is happening due to huge volume of data.

Hi,
Please check first the regional settings of the client. If that is not set with a comma as decimal seperator then Excel won't show the data either with a comma as decimal seperator.

Material Number Truncated in ALV to Excel Download

Hi Guru,
I have a ALV program report. It has about 18 columns, but for some strange reason, when we download this report to an ALV the 3rd column which host the material number as the last digit missing/truncated.
For example if we have a material number in SAP ALV Grid as 1234567, when we download this the excel, what we get in excel is 123456. with the last number missing.
What is the best solution to fix this issue.

Previously I faced the same situation, like in ALV grid I was displaying the material nos with output length as 15. Since in the Grid display you can readjust the columns, So after displaying we just expanded in the grid and try to download the same in excel. But at that time the ALV was downloading with material number field length as 15 ( What I set in my field catalog). Even when I saw the print priview I saw only the length it is showing as 15. After changing the output length as 18 in field cat I got the correct download.
(Here I am assuming that the question is raised for ALV grid display since no where it is mentioned the type of ALV).

I want a select statement to return two values, sum of one column and customer number

I have two columns one called invoice_number and the other invoice_amount. I want a select statement to return two columns.... invoice_number and then the sum of the invoice_amount(s) for each unique invoice number.
SELECT sum(invoice_amount) AS Totalinvoice_amount FROM InvoiceTB where invoice_number = 'INV102'
This is where I've started, which returns:
Totalinvoice_amount
500.00

Export to Excel & Download in JSPDynpage

Hi All,
I have developed one JSpDynpage application in which I am displaying the custom portal activity report on portal page. I . I have used normal HTML code in JSP file. Now I have to export this data in Excel sheet & Download it.
For this I have gone through these steps.
1) As per the few suggestions on SDN , I have created seperate AbstractPortalComponent for this functionality.
2) I have followed prakash's blog i.e. Create an excel file from JAVA using HSSF api
3) Included all needful POI jar files mentioned in the blog.
But still i am getting error - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/poi/hssf/usermodel/HSSFWorkbook
This class exists in JAR file when i checked. Error is looking simple, but not getting resolved.
Also please suggest me -
1) How to call this AbstractComp. from JSP file , when user click on a link on portal page.
2) what shoud be the additional code for download functionality?

I am facing one problem with customization of portal activity report.
We made some changes to the existing report par file and deployed from NWDS to dev system. When we previewed the existing iview in Dev portal system the changes reflected and once we exported the PAR file to QA system and previewed the iview from portal, there is no data coming to portal.
Can you please let us know what could be the reason for this?

Error: -43..when exporting to Excel

Hi All
A client gets Error: -43 [863-29], when exporting a list to excel.
I cant seem to find what the error means.
Any ideas?

When exporting to excel via Business one , this error occurs if user does not have the correct permissions on the folder he has chosen to save the data in.
Solution
Verify user permissions on the folder.
User must have the correct permissions ie read and write on the folder.
Give user the necessary permissions to be able to save to that folder.
These rights can be given by the local Administrator.

Need advise on a problem one of my customer have with properties going missing in Acrobat Reader

Hi there.
I need some advise on a major problem I got with acrobat reader on one of my customer's laptop.
I might not have all the informations, but I can explain about everything that I could dig out of the problem.
One of my customer asked me to find a solution to his problem as he just bought a Mac laptop and he has only been using a Windows PC before. He needed a way to be able to manipulate some texts and picture on a file (template) that he print a couple of times each week. I have built a 2 pages PDF form for him and it was a success on every computer we tried it on, except for his new Mac Laptop.
Whenever we open the file on his laptop in acrobat reader, every single properties of any forms are not readed.
Those "missing" properties include :
- Everything in the "Text field property" which include size, choice of font (I specifically took a system font available on both PC and Mac and tested it on another Mac), alignment and apearances.
- All forms, checks and buttons are resetted to a "default" appearance.
The names and ID of the forms seems to be correct and forms with the same name seems to work. (if he fills in one part, it automaticly fills some parts on the 2nd pages instead of having him rewrite the whole stuff.)
The sizes of the forms are correct too. It seems to only affect the form properties, but not the manually inserted javascript.
I tried to open another form PDF I took from the Web (gouvernment forms) and it seems like the problem is not from my file as it happen with all PDF files with forms.
I checked his Acrobat Reader version and it seems like it's up to date, as well as his java software.
Since I couldn't do a full check-up and tried to reinstall Acrobat Reader and java as I only had about 20 minutes to check things, I'm asking around before taking that kind of option into account.
If any got any idea or have already experienced that kind of strange thing, please tell me where could the problem be.

The file is opened manually with Adobe Reader directly on the customer's computer harddrive. (Right click on the file directly stored on the desktop. "Open with ..." and then select "Adobe Reader". The program showed on the top bar is Acrobat Reader and it's hard to mix it up as it's totally different from the "Preview" program on the Mac.)
If I opened it with Preview (on the Mac), it was even LESS buggy. While some options are not accessible in Preview (mainly those who use javascripts or adobe reader/acrobat only features), the visual that aren't working in Adobe Reader were working fine. Since some basic options aren't available in Preview, my customer needs to use it in Adobe Reader.
I can garanty that the problem is related to Adobe Reader and/or maybe background process that Adobe Reader uses (for exemple : Java, C++, etc.)
I asked around to know if someone have already experienced this issue and if they have found a way to repair it without doing a full reinstall of every kind of process that Adobe Reader uses.
Also, if I'm doing a clean up for a restoration of Adobe Reader, is there any other program to reinstall then Adobe Reader and Java?

One digit is missing while downloading to excel

Hi,
Format the cells of xcel sheet. You can see the last digit also.
Open the excel .... Press Ctr+A(select all the rows & columns)-> Right clcik & select format cells-
Under Number Tab -- select the TEXT.
Now see you can see the last digit also.

Customer Number is missing.

Dear Guru's.
Hi all. I would like to ask any help or ideas on our concerns/ or should i say issue or problem regarding customer master.
As we all know, we assign number ranges for the customer number.
But when we check customer report to show all list of our customers in the whole organization, we notice that some of the number ranges were skipped. say for example.. our customer should be 10001 - 19999.
Currrently it is ascending but cannot find customer number 10602 to 10604.
I tried to check it in customer table such as KNVV and alike to see whether its there but deleted , but that numbers are really missing.
Question, is it possible that there are certain numbers really been skipped and not used in SAP?
Is there any way to tracked why certain numbers where not assign?

In the number range intervals screen, there are 3 columns,"From Number', 'To Number' & 'Current Number'.
'Current Number' is dynamically updated depending upon the transactions .
Now, we can go to 'change mode' & directly & manually change this 'Current number'.
For eg:
Current number is 5.
Now, if I change it manually to 8, then the numbers 6 & 7 will surely be missing.

Why FormBuilder add one digit in the Maximum Length of number items...????

Why does Form Builder add one digit to the Maximum Length property of number data base block items...????
For example , if a db column is of datatype number(2)... then this item is represented by 3 digits- not 2- in the Maximum Length....This is true if the data block is created via the block wizard....
Would it be any problem... if in the above example , i modified the Maximum Length to 2 ...????

In forms the definition of a number items length is the length of how many characters it holds and not how many digits.
If you have length 4 and you want to set a value of 22.22 it will not accept, since 22.22 is 5 characters 4 numbers and the decimal point. And just like Paul said, if the number is negative then you need one more character for the " - " minus sign.
