Online account shows charges for phone use yet I'm...

Hi
I have been on the phone plus had a call back from customer services as I phoned them up regarding my account showing charges for phone calls.
I struggled as they said no to start with that no charges were made but then said oh yes but they would leave a note on the system saying no charges to be included.
Seemed ok but again I check my account and see they are still charging me.
Is this an error with the BT online account system or am I going to get a nice big bill when its due?
I dont understand as the account shows my package yet the system shows charges for calls.
Has anyone come across this before and is there anyway BT can correct my on line account system?
Solved!

Well definitly give live chat a try.
If after that and having already phoned them, you can still not get anywhere, maybe contact the mods using this form:
If you fill in this form: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 with a link back to your post for ref, the mods will get back to you. it can take up to 3 days.
But to be fair to the mods, give Live Chat a try first.

  • HT204380 Are you charged for the use of face time?

Are you charged for the use of face time?

Currently FaceTime only works over Wi-Fi, so no, you don't get charged for using it. You just have to pay your monthly internet bill to pay for the Wi-Fi.

  • How to get an email online when showing offline for sending. Solutions on site don't solve the problem.

How do you get an email account online when it is showing offline for sending. All settings are correct, previous solutions on the site don't help. One account works find the other one receives but doesn't send. No issues with ISP was found. This may have been happening since OS travel. Took a while to realise it was using the other account for sending.

I just solve the problem. While OS we brought an internet USB and connected to a phone, one or both of these must have caused the problem. When both of the downloads associated with them were deleted the email issue was resolved. regards

  • Charges for phone calls

Hi, wonder if someone can help me?
Yesterday I made some skype phone calls. Today when I logged into Skype the amount in the top left hand corner said I still had 6.86 Sterling (£) in my account (credit). I made one phone call and the balance dropped to 6.54. This was unusual as this was a call to a UK number.
I looked in the billing area and the last call apparently was £0.09 pence, not the 32 pence seen in the Skype console. So why does it appear that Skype is vastly overcharging me even by its own records?
I am now on Skype version 6.2 on Windows 7 (on a PC) but was on 6.18 when I made the calls.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks,

    Hi NormanM,
    1. The point was that I was deducted £0.32 off my credit for just one calll yesterday (looking at my credit before and after the call). In fact, after that call I see that my credit this morning has been reduced by a further £0.09. I have made no other calls. So it now looks like £0.41 has been deducted from the credit.
    2. Perhaps you can tell me. Is the billing real time like I was led to believe from the T&C's?
    Hello John
    1. The GBP0.09 charge was for the 2.59 minute call to UK on 09/15/14 detailed in my previous post. Your account shows that there have been no further charges since then.
    2. When I access a user's account I can see charges being applied in real time.

I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • How can you manage data usage when cellular data is off, but you are using WiFi where your WiFi provider charges for data use?

I spend quite a few months each year in Canada where I use a Telus Cellular Hub device which is also my WiFi Router.  My iPhone 5 has Cellular Data set to "Off" which insures I won't be charged via my Verizon Wireless Service Provider for charges while in Canada.  Trouble is Telus, Rogers and all the Canadian Internet Providers charge for all Data going through their Systems.  Again, My Cellular Data on the iPhone 5 is turned off, but I use WiFi for such things as checking the Weather, or FaceBook, or searching the Web.
I believe that things may be happening in the background from various Apps that use quite a lot of Data.  It could be that iCloud is part of the issue with things being backed up automatically.  It also could be that Apps like AP or other News Apps are sending large amounts of Data in the photos associated with their New Stories, etc.  I typically turn off the App Store "Updates" such that they don't automatically load.  The FaceBook works now posted videos play when you are just scrolling through the News Feed.
I have been trying to fine an article somewhere which focuses on this specific problem but unfortunately many if not most articles are about folks worried about using Cellular Data while in a WiFi environment when their Cellular Data is turned on.
Does anyone know of a fairly comprehensive article about what settings on which Apps might reduce the Data Usage when Cellular Data is turned "Off" but you are going through a Service Provider who charges for all Data Accessed even when you are using WiFi?

Thanks for your comments, it is clear you understand my plight.  The trouble is fully understanding what Apps and App Features are transferring data in the background any time you happen to turn WiFi to on (even if you have had it off most of the day or night).  Obviously things like Location Services can constantly be sending and receiving data from my iPhone without any action on my part.  Also if you have things like photo backup on the iCloud then each time you take a photo you are sending a copy out.  All App Updates if set to Automatic also can add up to quite a bit of Data.  Reading the News on AP or scrolling through FB News Feed is actually adding up to a lot of Data.  There could be other culprits that I am not even thinking of.  I don't want to turn Apps like Find My Phone off or turn iCloud off due to loosing the value of such a program entirely.  Again thanks for your quick response.

  • Equipment charge for phone sent back!

Due to malfunctions my daughter returned 2 phones. Each was sent via Fed Ex with the paperwork supplied by Verizon. She even called asking if the phones were received and told yes. This month we see an equipment charge for $559.99 on our bill! She immediately called and asked what the deal was and is being told they never received one of the phones. She was told that they initiated an investigation and we don't have to pay the amt for the equipment charge at this time.
What do you make of this? How can she prove that the phone was in fact sent back and that a customer service person verified that they did receive it? I haven't called myself because I don't feel that I really know much about the situation as she took care of it all.

Did you keep your tracking numbers from each shipment so you could track them? If you had that and it showed delivered on the FedEx WebSite, that would be all you would need.

  • GOOP Developer free of charge for commercial use

    Hi All
Just to let everyone know that GOOP Developer Full Version 2.2 is now available for commercial use free of charge.
This is being offered as a gift to the LabVIEW Community. I am also willing to release the source code for GOOP Developer under the BSD Open Source License, if enough people are interested. There is some cool stuff in there which I'm happy to share.
Note that GOOP Developer uses scripting to achieve a lot of its wizardry, and now that LabVIEW scripting has been released by NI I can now disclose the scripting code under the hood.
Since GOOP Developer is an executable built with LabVIEW 7.1 I had to perform a few tricks to get the exe to command LabVIEW to do the operations necessary, as you are aware not every property or method that you can run in development mode can be performed by a LabVIEW exe. This is where the concept of agents came in, get your exe to run a vi in the development environment to do the sneaky work.
If any of you script junkies want to take a look at a few tricks, download GOOP Developer and have a look in the Agents folder. The password is "scigoop"
To download GOOP Developer 2.2 simply goto my site
    www.sciware.com.au
BTW, all of my software is now free of charge.

    Hi,
great tool, I'm impressed, thank you very much!
I had some trouble to get it work on LabVIEW 8.0.1 and found the solution
so I'd like to post it here:
If you're using LV 8.0.1 and get a message "Unable to retrieve all VI's in memory",
do the following: Go to the "Agents" subfolder and rename "8.0" to "8.0.1".
    Now it should work perfectly.
I think this could also apply to LabVIEW 8.5.1 so anyone using 8.5.1 could try to rename
    folder "8.5" to "8.5.1".

  • Data charge for phone updates

I recently bought two 9300s from BestBuy.  I'm getting data charges that the rep at Koodo says are related to the phone updating itself.  I don't have a data plan (only used for messaging and as a phone) so these charges stand out.  Some of the charges are at 5AM or at other times when I know the phones are not being used. All data charges are identified simply as RIM.   I have a couple of questions:
Re: the charges in the middle of the night.  I'm at home - the phone is connected to WiFi.  Why would I incur data charges.
Is there a way to tell the phone not to update that will not affect messaging (text & picture) or the phone?  Because I'm not using any higher end abilities of the phone I don't really care if it updates.
Is there a way to tell the phone to only update using WiFi?  Since some of these charges are from when the phone is connected to WiFi I'm not sure how effective this might be.
Any help would be appreciated.  After a month's worth of the BlackBerry/Koodo experience and am somewhat disenchanted.
    Thanks

I recently had my Motorola 4G Droid replaced after it was damaged. After activating the new phone, I received a message about a software update that said, "Your RAZR has been updated with Android 4.0 software". After the update I lost all my emails and contacts that had just been synced to my new phone the day before. I am not a techy by any stretch of the imagination, and have had at least five Verizon Wireless devices over the years, and want to know why the software cannot be update before the device is activated? I had to go to a Verizon Wireless franchise/dealer (Millennium Communications, 1660 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, Pa. 19031) where Bob was of great assistance in getting my emails and contacts restored. It took Bob 45 minutes to do this and he is very conversant with all the Verizon Wireless devices and services. It would have taken incalculably longer for me to to resolve the issue. During the time Bob was assisting me as a "good neighbor" he was unable to make sales during that period and I was unable to fulfill multiple business contacts I had scheduled for that day.
This entire charade seems so unnecessary: Why have a practice that updates software after a device has been activated, only to have all recently transferred emails and contacts erased? This is the antithesis of good customer PR/Service/Customer Support in my opinion. Shame on Verizon Wireless for putting me and Bob through this.

  • Original iphone works but can no longer be activated for phone use????

I have one of the original iphones that works but I no longer use (as in I paid $700 for it when it first came out). I just gave it to my nephew and my brother tells me Apple and ATT don't support it and he's being told that it can't be set-up as a functioning phone? That the current version of itunes won't support it either? Does this make sense to anyone? Could this be true? I'm on my 3rd iphone version and the first 2 work I just upgraded so now the old phones can't be used? I gave the same nephew a much older flip phone that still works and it has phone service.... Thoughts?

This doesn't make any sense to me either. Are we missing some vital information or is he just mistaken?
Until this last November, I was using a Blackberry Curve. I was visiting a friend and complained about the trackball giving me fits. He went to his kitchen junk drawer and pulled out his very first iPhone 2g and tossed it to me. I've been using it ever since without issue.
If the phone is in proper working order, it should only take a call to AT&T to order an appropriate plan and sim card. The original iPhone is still fully supported by AT&T and iTunes. While iOS support does end with version 3.1.3 and more and more apps do require iOS4, it still affords a very reasonable user experience. So reasonable, in fact, I am reconsidering my original plan of upgrading to the iPhone 4 this month. What can I say? It kicks BB Curve behind and does everything I need using a sweet grandfathered calling and data plan! laugh

  • HT204380 Do you incur charges for international use?

I am trying to FaceTime to Germany.  My daughter has an iPhone with cellular data service and I am here in the US.  How do we FaceTime?  And does it cost either of us.

The iPhone 4S, 5 and iPad 3 can do FaceTime over cellular data although some restrictions may apply. The way most carriers charge I would keep FaceTimes calls to wifi connections only unless you have an unlimited plan. To start both you and your daughter will have to set up separate Apple IDs, then you can place a FT call to her Apple ID. You can also use the Apple ID to place iMessages to each other free as well other than the cost of your network connection.
