Opening Screen Freeze Up on Bootup - Random
I've been experiiencing this for sometime, it occurs randomly most of the time during re-startup boot from Windows XP. The opening screen appears and than freezes with the last line on the screen being the firmware driver for the DVD Writer. Any ideas on what maybe causing this? Ussually after a re-set or 2 it boots up just fine. It's a bit annoying, however I lived with it for sometime.
I can also confirm that this issue has to do with the presence/absence of an optical device on the regular IDE channels. I had the same problem on two MSI boards - KT6 Delta FIS2R and K8T NeoF. In both cases I have no devices on the regular IDE channels save CD Rom and if I disconnect the CD the board freezes on bootup.

Hi,
For the last month, I have been having random screen freezes , requiring me to hard-boot the computer. During this freeze the mouse is responsive. I wait 15 minutes to see if the freeze goes away before rebooting.
I have re-formatted the disk and installed Mountain Lion, again , but it did not help. Most of the time it seemed to happen when I am using Safari, but this is not always the case.
The hardware tests came clean.
I have isolated the console logs to the following just before the issue happens. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Firefox can't open normally without going through the "this is embarrassing" routine; nor does it close down properly; I get the "end program" message and have to say "end now"it also sticks frequently, i.e. screen freezes for a minute or more; should I uninstall and re-install to try and debug?
- I've used Firefox exclusively for around 2 years.
- My outlook express has no problems
- other programs seem unaffected; it seems peculiar to Firefox.
- my main use is surfing the net, primarily entering competitions on line via specialist competition sites.
- every day at some stage(s) I have to switch computer off as Firefox has got very slow/sticky/freezes.

I have a consultation with you. Because my sister is updating the IOS8 I phone 4S. Then was not able to use it. Random screen freezes apple. So bring your instruments to Restore Center. Machine can use it. But can not access the page that actually works. Because of the problems with ID of icloud.
She forgot the ID of the user and that of the other. I caught only a password is *******. I would like to ask for technical assistance. What should I do to get back to work normally. Or you can reset the ID and password or not., And set to work. If you do not have an iPhone, this airplane. It becomes a good paperweight itself.Hope you will understand. I have a problem. My screen starts to play like a broken record randomly. This problem started like 2 days ago after I did a huge update after hurricane sandy left me w/o power for a week. I seriously don't know what's going on. I would suspect it's the video card. A GTX 550 ti. Let me know what other specs you need. I'll keep it short because seriously it might freeze any moment.One more thing. It seems like if I get to get past 10 minutes on the computer, then it just doesn't happen at all anymore. If the screen freezes it will freeze within the first 10 minutes. Thanks for your help.

I have a Satellite P200 duo core with 2GB of memory. Quite often when I try to open a screen in ieplorer the screen freezes and goes white. When I look at the computer performance it tells me the CPU is working at 100% and the physical memory at just 50%. Would increasing the memory to 4GBhelp or is there anything else I should try?

Usually for all OS 2GB memory should be enough and in my opinion an upgrade to 4GB is only necessary if you run programs (e. g. games) they need a lot of memory.
As Akuma wrote, I think a software toolbar or something else causes the high CPU usage so remove them.
Make also sure that you are using newest version of Internet Explorer. -
Tried verify and repair disk, or permission. Reinstalled mountain lion and using migrate from my time machine backup. Nothing happen, still screen freeze randomly and the mac just crashes.

Scrabble game freezes on opening screen
I have a Palm Pre (original) thru Sprint. Today, the Scrabble game would not open and it freezes on the opening screen. I turned off the phone, restarted and that did not help. One forum I read to delete and then re-install from the "shopping bag" icon. Except it is no longer there!! I don't wish to pay for the game all over again - How can I reinstall without paying for the game again? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you !

The option of reinstalling the game would be the suggested procedure to get the game working again.
As for the App Catalog: It is pretty difficult to remove the App Catalog from the phone since it doesn't appear in the Software Manager. The icon was probably just accidentally moved to a different tab or lower on the page than its original position. Keep searching for it and hopefully you find it!
Once you do find it, you should not have to repurchase any apps that you've already paid for. The apps that you pay for are recorded in your Palm Profile and should be able to be downloaded and reinstalled without any problems. If you do run into any problems and the app asks for your credit card again, just contact HP support and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to credit you back for the deleted app. -
T410 random beep sound( from machine for less than 5 mins) + screen freeze + Blue Screen (some time)
I have new purchased T410 during christmas time.
here is my machine spec(everything from Levono, did not upgrade any parts):
T410, model 2516CTO
8 GB RAM
i7 CPU
500GB HDD
Integried graphic card
Windows 7 professional (applied all latest updates)
Problem random happen, for about 8 times,
System works regularly
and all of sudden machine make continousely "beep" sound(from machine, not speaker),
after that screen freeze,
and then sometime system go back to normal, sometime crash completely to blue screen(most time).
The whole problem takes about 3-5 mins.
1 time it even happen in safe mode (after log in, desktop freezed immediately, then blue screen).
I chkdsk the whole disk found no problem.
I call Lenovo tech support, he ask me restore the original OS(Windows 7 home prim), then he can help me.
I refused because that's mean i have to destroy all the work I done (spend almost a week to install development tools and software) .
Since the problem is random anyway, I just reboot and bakeup more offen. :-(

I open a text message to respond and my screen freezes
I keep getting the "low on space" message pop up, and when I went to open a text message it would tell me that there is not enough space and I need to delete apps. I deleted some works in the text dictionary and then suddenly my phone started to act up. It wont let me delete blank works in my dictionary. Also, when I go to open up a text and respond I type in one letter and my screen freezes. When I finally get it to the home page the keyboard is still there and is making everything slow and or not work. I have to keep turning my phone on and off. I have already taken out the battery 3 times already and let it sit.
Anyone have advice on what to do???
I don't want to have to do a factor reset because I am scared I will loose my calendar appointments, pictures etc.Your internal storage is getting too low. These phones require a little bit of maintenance from time to time.
Check your internal storage. Settings > sd card & phone storage
Clear cache from the applications. Settings > applications > manage applications > all tab > menu button > sort by size. You will have to go through the apps one by one and pressing the white clear cache button. Browser, market and games seem to be the usual suspects.
Backup your text messages to the sd card or send to an email address. Search the Market for sms backup. If you want to save mms messages, you will likely have to choose a paid application.
After you have backed up the text messages, delete as many threads or individual messages as you can stand.
Clear call history. Not sure if there is an application that will back that up for you. I use Lookout which has that as option.
Move what applications you can to the sd card. The steps will be similar to the clear cache steps above.
After completing all that go back to get your internal storage level and hopefully be amazed how much space you have gained. -
help.... i've faced this problem since the windows phone 8.1 updates.... sometimes my screen freeze after unlock my phone . sometimes after open an app the touch screen not respond to my touch... i tried all the ways like turning off wifi etc and still

Words w friends is freezing up on the new iOS 7 software, the screen freezes leaving a black open space and doesn't fix itself.
Probably an issue with the App itself, not with iOS 7 or your iPad. There will probably be an update coming out soon as there are many people having issues with that App

I was deleting photos when the screen froze and I had to shut down the computer manually. Now after the first minute of being turned on the screen freezes and the mouse arrow goes into that rainbow whirling disc and won't stop no matter how long I let it go. My keyboard is Turkish. My keys are not marked the same as an English one is, further complicating resolving the problem.
The dealer I bought it from doesn't speak English and wants to charge me for repairs. I refuse to pack the computer up and ship it UPS out of town for a repair I can do plus pay for shipping.
When I received my computer I was only given the manual and no system restore discs for situations such as this. I asked where they were and was told there were none.
I suspect this is a tactic to make money on bogus tech repairs off their customers. To purchase new discs, if I can find them, can cost from $30-$40 - the dealer more than likely is re-selling the discs at 100% profit. This is Cizgili Apple Store in Adana, Turkey. I wish to report them. It is a national company too. I don't have a receipt handy, but have an emailed receipt. I can't get my computer's number to get further assistance on the Apple website withput it.

If your computer is on one minute before it freezes, than you have one minute to secure your serial number.
click the apple----->click about this Mac ------> click on version----> until you see the serial number. You may have to do this a couple of times if it freezes before you have all the numbers. A camera might help.

My restore previous session button is gone from the home page. How do i get it back?
