Optimizer to not consider Disrtibution Demand (Planned) with SS "SZ"

Hi Experts,
We have one challanging requirement where we do not want to consider "Disrtibution Demand (Planned)" with safety stock method "SZ" in Optimization runs.
How can we achive this?
Thanks in advance...
Regards
Sujay

Hi Sujay,
Sorry but I am still not quite sure what your requirement is...
Do you want to ignore the distribution demand from what?
What do you mean by "the result will be doulbing"?
Please explain in details you scenario.
Do you want to ignore completely this demand (e.g the optimiser does not see this demand at all, so this demand does not reduce stock?)
Or do you want to ignore the demand from the safety stock calculation?
If it is the first case, then I am really struggling to understand the objective.
If it is the second case, then there is a solution, but it involves extra parameters (GLOBALSAFETYMETHOD) so I will suggest to do it under the guidance of a optimiser expert.
Actually I suggest you to get in contact with SAP optimiser expert to help you; they will be able to review your design and help you with the configuration, test and so on...
Thanks and Regards
Julien

  • On Order Stock not considering while Replenishment planning in IS-Retail

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I am running Replenishment planning in IS -Retail system, but it's not considering On order Stock (e.g  Purchase order - schedule receipts). could you please tell me the config where system can consider on order stock.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Sagar.

    Hi Mayank,
I had already done the steps that you have mentioned. i.e. Changing the error processed records to
"Not Processed" and running the initial load again, but it does not help as the exception still continue to be the same i.e. No Product or Location can be found in the database" whereas these details are already present in the system i.e.if you check /FRE/MASS_LOC or for product.
After checking the help (F1) for TEMPRPFROM, it clearly specifies that if a date is mentioned in the field, it will activate the blocking on the date and if no value is present in the field, then the temporary blocking will not be enabled.
Also, a surprising fact is that whenevr I transfer the product or location details on a particular date, the TEMPRPFROM reflects that particular date even in the interface tables. So wondering whether some customizing field is present in IS-Retail side which is causing this issue

  • Demand planning with BOM

    Dear All,
I have a requirement as follows: Customer create forecast for Garment on the following planning levels
Customer, Product Group, Material and Location  forecast
    cust01    , PG_G              , Garment, DC01,     10
In DP BOM, 1 dozen of garment will use 2.4 yard fabric
In DP, are we able to achieve the following result ? Note, Garment and Fabric belong to different product group, and Garment has forecast in location DC01, dependant requirement for Fabric should be put on location PL01.
Customer, Product Group, Material and Location   dependant requirement
    cust01    , PG_F              , Fabric, PL01,            24
    Thanks,
    Bin

    Hi,
You can use DP BOM functionality where Garmnt will have PPM with fabric matrial with 1:2.4 ratio. PPM usag will be D.
Here dependnt demand for fabric will be forcasted but on same location. You can check IN PPM by maintaining planning location as DC and production location as Fabric location(This is production in another location) I donot think it will work.
Other Approch is maintain special procurement key for fabric material as stock transfer from plant. Transfer the product to APO it will create T-lane fro fabric material from DC to plant.
Hence dependent requirement of fabric will tranferd to other location through stock transfer request.

  • Optimizer is not considering product storage cost

    Hi All,
After SNP Optimizer (lnr) completed Pln Ord are getting generated without considering 'prod storage cost'.
For example: If for certain FC is created on 10th of March, the pln ords r getting generated on 2nd of march...though the 'prod storage cost' are maintained in both the location (plant, customer). And the stock transfer is also happening early.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
                              Satyajit.

    Hi
Remember that the optimisation profile is not just a case of the effects of one parameter (unless you set a cost profile with all other parameters at 0). I would check the costs associated with the other items you have, for example is there a safety stock cost and setting in place, what is the difference in transportation costs versus storage costs etc etc.
It may well be that another cost, means it is cheaper to ignore the storage costs differential in your case and make the product earlier.
Also, you need to consider the "Bucket Offset" factor for both transportation and production, unfortunately, no matter what you set it to the Optimiser will always take a value of 1.00 for scheduling of order creation, in other words availability at the start of the bucket. See OSS Note 434197 which has a good explainantion of the bucket offset in a PDF file and also has some related notes for it:
    [Note 434197 - The Bucket Offset|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=434197&nlang=EN&smpsrv=https%3a%2f%2fwebsmp202%2esap-ag%2ede]
Oh, and as Sanjog says whilst a product is in transport it has no storage costs so may be cheaper to move it earlier and incur no storage for that period. However this behaviour can be changed by a COPT10 optimisation parameter but you will have to speak to SAP themselves to get the details of that one I'm afraid.

  • Mixed periodicities in a forecast are not allowed In Demand Planning

    Hi All,
I am running forecast in background by defining activity and job in transaction /sapapo/mc8t and /sapapo/mc8d .
I am scheduling the job in transaction in /sapapo/mc8g.
Before scheduling the job i checked the job in transaction /sapapo/mc8i and this check is fine.
When I am running the job in background i am getting the following error message:
"Mixed periodicities in a forecast are not allowed".
This error I am getting in the spool of job in SM37 transaction.
I ran a copy key figure macro in the same planning book with the same view and it is having no problem.
In my planning book i am having only one dataview    and with that dataview    only i am scheduling the job.
The strange thing is that the forecast is running smoothly in  interactive mode in same planning book, same data view with same forecast profile.
Did anybody face the same problem in the past?
I am using SAP SCM 7.0 version.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Mukesh Pandey

    Hi,
I contacted SAP on the same and they suggested me exactly what was the problem.
I will try to explain the problem with an example here as that would be easy.
Say, My storage bucket profile is a custom week.
suppose i am doing forecast at custom week level.
my time bucket profile in the planning book is "2 years in months".
So here in the background job we are expecting from the system to first divide years in months and than months to custom weeks. Here we are referring to mixed pereodicities.
So the rule is your time bucket profile and the bucket of forecasting should be directly in proportion of storage bucket profile.
    it should not be
    Year-->month--
    >week
    it should be
    Year-->week or year>month or month--
    >week.
    I hope i am clear.

  • MRP not considering STO as demand

    Hi,
When I run MRP, it is not considering the Storage location STO (SLOC to SLOC) as the demand.
here is the scenario in detial.
Material 1, MRP1 : MRP type V1 Reorder point 10, MRP 4 MRP indicator, SP proc key 20, Reorder point 50, Repl qty 25
STO created for 30. MRP run. ORD DS as -30 and available qty as 20. At this stage I expected a Pur req because the stock fell below reorder point
Material 2, MRP1 : MRP type PD Reorder point 0, MRP 4 MRP indicator, SP proc key 20, Reorder point 50, Repl qty 25
Same thing observed in this case also.
Bottom line STO (SLOC to SLOC) it is not considering as demand.
Please let me know the options that I have and what i am missing.
    Thanks
    Srini

    The problem is solved.
I have made a change to the MRP type.
In the config, Under Additional requirements  in Reorder point Planning, I have selected all the check boxes. For the current requirement, Order Reservation and Release Ord stock transfer are sufficient.
After transporting the values, It worked as expected. It considered, STO as well as reservations as demand.
PS: Initially it did not work after the transport. I went into the Material in the change mode and touched and saved it. It is working fine
    Thanks

  • Optimizer not using correct execution plan

    Hi ,
    DB  version : 11.2.0.3
My sql query ran last month 1 hour. But the same sql query today running for four hours. Looks like optimizer is not using correct execution plan. I have used tuning advisor and applied recommended sql profile and query execution is back to normal. I can see statistics are upto date for the tables. Any other factors why the optimizer is not choosing correct execution plan ?
    Thanks.

What is the correct plan according to you? Multiple factors cause optimizer to chose a different plan. As a rudimentry example - A binary index column having low cardinality than expected, after new data has been inserted. Never ever expect your query to have same execution plan till the entire lifetime, until the underlying data does not change or nobody changes database settings.
You have to give a lot of information if you are looking for performance tuning. Pls see following thread

    Hi,
I am running SCM-Deployment optimizer.I am facing issue like optimizer is not considering five buckets of fixed receipts.Need your help on this.

    Hi
is it possible for you to check the values in pull deployment horizon, push deployment horizon and SNP checking horizon in the location product master (tab page SNP2). If you want the deployment optimizer to consider these values, they must have a value of > 0.

How can I copy test plan WITH ITS RESULTS (PASS/FAIL) to other project in MTM??

    Hi odedn,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
Based on your issue, you mean that you want to copy the test plan with test results from the current team project
to other team project, am I right?
If yes, as far as I know that when we copy test plan with test results to other team proejcts. It is default that
there just will not copy the test plan with test results (pass/fail) to other team project in MTM.
You can refer the following MSDN document’s
what gets cloned, it explained that which objects are copied from the source test plan to the destination test plan.

  • System is not considering Planned Delivery time

    Dear Gurus,
As iam planning for the month of January and running the MRP,schedulelines are getting generated but system is not condering Planned Delivery time maintained in the material master ie. 7days.Following is the example:
I have a FERT-X with a component A-1PC in its BOM and its planned delvery time from vendor is 7 Days.If iam running the MRP on 13/12/2010 for FERT-X  100 PCS for January1,2011 then the schedule lines are getting generated for for component A is on 01/01/2011.But PDT is maintianed in material master is 7 days and same has been maintianed in vendor inforecord. But system is not considering it.
Kindly help to resolve the issue.
    With Regards.

I have one ROH which has two different vendors.
Two scheduling Agreemnt with target qty 100000 kg each.
Two different Vendor info record with Min. order qty maintained.V1-1000Kg,V2-6000Kg.
One source list with two vendors and with respective scheduling agreement.
Quota arrangement is there in which SOB is maintiained 50:50.
I hv the requirement of 3084 kg of ROH.
I run the MRP and two diiferent schedule lines are getting generated with 50:50 qty as mentioned in Quota arrangement.
Not considering the minimum order qty maintiained in vendor info record.
    The above process is correct
Only One doubt In Quota Arrangement?
IS two schedule line is created after MRP run?
Generally System will  select a vendor Whose Quota value is less
quota rating   = quota base quantity + quota-allocated quantity/ quota

  • Planned Delivery time not considered after MRP run for scheduling

    Dear All,
After running MRP, the planned delivery time maintained in Purchase info record is not taken into consideration for calculating start date of the schedule line of externally procured material generated by the system.
Planned delivery time is 3 days & Requirement of parent material falls on 15/02/2010. With this, system should calculate the start date for schedule line as on 12/02/2010 considering 3 days Planned Delivery time.
Any idea as to what might have gone wrong?
thx for your help in advance.
    Rgds,
    Ranjeet

    Hi,
Determination of PLD from the Purchase info record is maintained in transaction code:OMDT. Planned Delivery time is also maintained in Scheduling agreement. However, it is not calculating delivery date as well as release date.

  • MRS - Resources and demands are not visible in the Planning Board

Hi Friends - I am working on the the MRSS 610. We have installed it on the our ECC 6.0 as an add-on. We have configured the system as per the configuration guide.
But when I am accessing Manageru2019s Planning Board -  /MRSS/PLBOMGR , using the Organization unit, I am getting Notification saying that the resources assigned to the Organization unit are not available in the MRS.
"Resource 00000000010000000000000000000000 not yet created in the WFM Core"
The details of the Error message
"Resource 00000000010000000000000000000000 not yet created in the WFM Core

    Procedure

    I have run the Report
/MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF : Transfers the HR data (availability times, qualifications and the resources itself) into the MRS Basis
But even after that I am not getting the resources in the planning board.
Also I am not able to view the Demands from PM/CS orders.
I have created PM Orders and
Assigned Work centres to the operations and
assigned the Resources to the Operations.
The HR assignment to the work center is also done.
I have tried T Code   /MRSS/PLBOSRV - Enter the MRS planning board using a specified order
to pull the order demand. But it is not working
    Its giving following message
1004280 is not a valid demand
    Message no. /MRSS/SGU139
    Diagnosis
The order does not exist in MRS.
    This may be because:
The order number has an invalid format.
    The order does not exist.
The order is not relevant for planning and has therefore not been transferred to MRS.
The order has been deleted from MRS.
    Pls help me on this.
Thanks in advance and warm regards
    Purnendu

Hi Anil/Saurabh - Thanks a lot for your replies.
I have checked the MRS configuration as per your suggestion.
It looks fine as per the configuration guide. I have done the PM/CS integration for Orders as demand.
But the Demands are not visible on the Planning Board.
I have checked in the debugging mode what is causing the problem - It looks like
"The Database Table: /mrss/d_dem_h  needs entry"
But there are no entries in this table.
I could not find any Customizing transactions or Application transactions for maintaining this table. This is an Application Table for Master and Transaction Data and its Display and Maintenance allowed with Restriction.
I could not also find any transaction for transferring Demand from ECC(R/3) to MRS.
How do I maintain entries in this table?
How do I transfer Demand from ECC to MRS?
Saurabh - I have also been not able to transfer HR Resources from ECC to MRS.
We don't have WFM Core installed in our instance. But MRS should work fine without WFM. MRS Basis should take care of it.
To transfer Employee resources i have run the Program " /MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF". But when I execute the transaction with the selection parameters system shows that it is processing (Clock at the bottom Status bar) but it does not shows any result or status.
So I am not sure whether it is executing the program properly.
Pls help me resolve these issues.
    Thanks and warm regards

    Dear,
Strategy 25 will not consider the existing stock.
What you enter in MRP4 view ind/collective rquirement is applicable only for dependent requirement.

  • Demand Not considered by Heuristics

    Hello ,
I have a customer and plant , i have maintained stock at plant and have manually entered a forecast of 10 quantity by going to change mode in rrp3 . Now when i run heuristics it is not even identifying this demand . But when i do CTM demand simulation it is picking this demand . why is heuristics not considering it .
    Regards,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
Are using any custom planning book or standard planning book snp94?
OK whatever it is, do you see the forecast quantity appear in the total demand key figure? I believe you do as CTM is planning for this demand.
So, heuristic should also plan for this demand. As per your comment.. "Now when i run heuristics it is not even identifying this demand . " Why do you think so? that Heuristic is not picking this demand? I mean you do see the demand in the total demand key figure in your planning book, right? And you are running heuristic interactively. Does the logs shows 'total no. of demand' as 'zero'?
If so you need to check your fore cast horizon. If your forecast falls within this period then it wont be considered as a part of the total demand. (But, again you said that CTM did plan for this forecast/demand).
Anyway check the t-lane for this product for the plant/dc/customer. There should be a valid t-lane. Then re-initialize your planning area and run the LC consistency check.
Now take your planning run (CTM/Heuristic).
Please do update us your findings.
    Thanks,
    Satyajit

Hi, I have iphone 4s and since yesterday my personal hotspot will not work. It's always worked fine in the past and I have a plan with three uk which includes tethering. I've tried everything I can think of including resetting network settings, resetting the phone as a new phone but nothing works. When connected to the pc it shows on the iphone screen '1 connection' but the pc says 'no internet connection' I've spoken to three who say it must be a phone fault. Any help appreciated. :-)

If you have restored as new that pretty well covers software issues
Looks like a trip to an Apple Store and a likely Out of Warranty exchange unit  £159 over the counter
May e consider an upgrade with the money ?
