OracleAS Adapter for SAP

my plan is to extract data from the current Oracle sales and distribution Legacy system into txt file with IDOC format, my question is (since I do not have the SAP experience), how this file will get uploaded into the SAP system through the Oracle AS Adapter .

I have resolved this issue with the help of Mr Hugo Garzon through metalink.
Re-installed (As my installation was worng):
1.Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0
2.Oracle Adapter 10.1.3.1.0
Follow the below mentioned steps to resolve the Jdeveloper issue:
1. Modify the collaxa-config.xml ($SOA_ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/config/) the "ApplicationsWSDLHome" property
before you restart
the server. This property must to be equal to $SOA_ORACLE_HOME/adapters/application/wsdls/
2. This issue is documented in this bug, the Bug 6153919 UNABLE TO BROWSE THE OEM ADAPTERS WSDL IN THE
10.1.3.3 JDEV, in there appears a workaround: In JDeveloper please expand the
created Integration Server Connection before browse the WSDL, after his action,
you will see the Adapter services.
Thanks a lot Hugo for your valuable help.
Cheers,
Shanty

  • When is Oracle Adapter for SAP 10.1.2.0.2 released?

    Hi,
I'm desperately waiting for the release of the Oracle Adapter for SAP
10.1.2.0.2. It is stated as Projected on the Download site.
I do still have serious problems with bug 2574376. This bug was fixed already
in July 2004. In that bug is stated that it is fixed in 10.1.2.
I am using the workaround to kill the process. But when I kill the process while the
adapter is processing data for update in SAP, I am losing that data. So the
update does not take place in SAP and the data is not in the persistence
    anymore.
    So please release this version!
    Regards,
    Aard-Jan

Yes, but not for HPUX jet. And that is what I need.
Via Metalink I heard that it will be available around august.

  • Oracle Adapter for SAP that supports Integration with SAP 6.0??

    Hi,
I am working currently with Oracle Adapter for SAP with SAP 4.6.
But my company is looking for upgrading the Enterprise SAP system to 6.0.
Do we have Oracle Adapter for SAP that supports SAP 6.0? Please let me know if anyone has already worked on this?
    Thanks,
    Sasi Bhushan

    Sasi,
There is a new MySAP adapter with 10.13.1 and above to support ECC 6.0. Please see the following section in the 10.1.3.1 adapter release notes:
12.4.1 MySAP ERP Versions and APIs
The following MySAP ERP platforms are supported by OracleAS Adapter for MySAP
    ERP:
    ■ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x100
    ■ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x200
    ■ MySAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 5.0, deployed on SAP NetWeaver 2004
    ■ MySAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 6.0, deployed on SAP NetWeaver 2004s
    ■ SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) Version 2.18.
For the current release status of the SAP Java Connector, refer to SAP Note #549268

    Respected Guys
I have an oracle-9i database connected with SAP and wants to transfer data from oracle9i database connected with SAP to an another oracle-9i database which is connected with a GPRS system.
Data about only sales has to be transfered from SAP to GPRS database (Oracle9i). I want to know the procudre of transfering data from SAP to GPRS database.
I know there is an Oracle9i Adapter which is used for this purpose. Anyone know about how to use the Idocs or ALE for this purpose.Or if anyone is aware of use of Oracle9i Adapeter. We are using Oralce9i with SAP4.6 and the database connected with GPRS is also oracle9i.

  • Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R/3

I am working with a customer implementing Oracle EBS Release 12.2.
The customer has implemented SAP for financial modules and the oracle solution considers an EBS - SAP Integration for Receivables. Does anyone have any experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP? Can you give us some guidance regarding EBS - SAP Integration best practices?
We have found a paper regarding Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3. We would like to have some information about what are the Oracle products we can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3.
In case Oracle EBS can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter, we would like to know if anyone has experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3 for AR transactions and Receipts?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you veyr much Manoj for your reply. I just tried it now buit no fruits.
I wonder if it can really be due to privileges given to my account, which allows to connect thru SAP Front-end but does not allow to connect by any other means. I can not think of any other possible reason.

  • RFC calls with SAP JCO and IBM resource adapter for SAP - basic tuning

    Hi experts,
we are working on a java portal connected to a backend system SAP by calling RFCs.
On our first integration tests, it appears to be quite slow fetching data from SAP by calling the remote functions from the custom portal. We are using SAP JCo 3.0.6 and IBM resource adapter for SAP 7.0.0.3 to integrate SAP with our portal.
Is there any basic tuning to achieve to improve performances or any hint of where to tune in SAP ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot,
    Jamal

    Hi Jamal,
I understand you have already checked performance issues in the SAP Server. We had some problems with certain RFC calls and it turned out to be a badly developed ABAP sentence.
I'd recommend you to use httpwatch or another tool to check the response times from the browser, so you can point accurately where the is.

  • SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (ST-QCA)

    Hello Folks,
I am configuring Solution Manager, and the current activity asks to download to add-ons that I can't find in the Marketplace - they are required to activate Solution Manager Enhancements:
SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (software component: ST-QCA)
SAP Support Enablement package (software component: ST-SEP)
Does anyone know where to get those components?
    Thanks a lot,
    Marco

    Hi Ravindra babu/ Murali:
I have one very quick doubt and would be really glad if you can help clarify.
As per documentation from SAP and also IMG screens etc. it seems like 'a project' in SolMan will hand-shake with 'a project' in QC.
Can I therefore assume that if there is only one instance of SolMan (productive) and one QC server alone (again, productive), any number of trials I carry out between SolMan project and QC project will not spill over into other projects in these two systems and thus have no impact whatsoever at server level.
The reason for my asking this - in my project, Testing has started using QC in a standalone mode already. We have just one server. If I have to carry out any tests/ demo between SolMan and QC, it shouldn't impact other 'standalone' projects being done in QC.

    Hello,
You may have a lot of greif if this is the wrong version of adaptor for 8.1. I too was directed to this EAR file when looking for the 8.1 adaptor. The problem looks like it is in the weblogic-ra.xml file in BEA_SAP_1_0.rar. The some of the xml entries for <map-config-properties> loo incomplete:
              <map-config-property>
              <map-config-property-name>bselocation</map-config-property-name>
              </map-config-property>
              <map-config-property>
              <map-config-property-name>bseeis</map-config-property-name>
              </map-config-property>
              Are missing a value tags.
You can try adding some dummy ones in order to get passed the SAX exception but you may run into more problems. (I was going to install this my self but never got round to it in the end).
              Good Luck

  • Inqmy resource adapter for SAP with Bea Weblogic Server

              Hi everybody,
Anybody have tried to use INQMY resource adapter for SAP with Bea weblogic server
It works well with INQMY server, but with BEA I'm getting a lot of problems creating
              the connections.
              Thanks in advance.
              Xavi.

    All,
Here are the steps we (used for internal testing) had to perform to get
IN-Q-MY adapter for SAP to work with WebLogic:
The wli.adapter.inqmy.sapr3.spi package contains extensions to the
In-Q-My J2EE Connector Architecture classes to overcome some limitations
in the base implementation classes. To get around these issues, we had
to extend their R3ManagedConnectionFactory, R3ConnectionManager, and
              R3ConnectionFactory classes.
              * The javax.resource.spi.ManagedConnectionFactory implementation
does not over-ride the equals and hashCode methods correctly. This
              causes problems with WLS 6.1.
              * There is a bug in their javax.resource.spi.ConnectionManager
implementation for non-managed uses of the adapter. Consequently, their
adapter cannot be used in a non-managed scenario.
              * The javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory class does not support
the getConnection() method that does not take any arguments (it throws a
              null pointer exception).
I am attaching the classes discussed above.
              Cheers,
              Chris

I have to get values out of miniSAP and integrate them in a BPEL Process. In SAP there is a function to generate a Webservice out of a BAPI for example! This Web Service I want to include in a bpel process. This is the way I try it till now!!!!
Now I read an article about the Adapter.
Is the task i explained abouve possible to do it with the adapter?
If yes, Can I include every BAPI in a bpel process with the adapter?
What are the prerequisites I need for the adapter? I have installed an Infrastructure, a Middle Tier (Portal) and the BPEL process manager.
    Thanks a lot

Thank you veyr much Manoj for your reply. I just tried it now buit no fruits.
I wonder if it can really be due to privileges given to my account, which allows to connect thru SAP Front-end but does not allow to connect by any other means. I can not think of any other possible reason.

  • Logon problem with Oracle AS Adapter for SAP R/3

    Dear All
I am getting below error, when trying to test the SAP Adapter. As seems from the message, its a credential problem, but the same user id/password works fine when using SAP Logon Gui Front-end client.
    Any help/pointers highly appreciated.
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

    Releasing connection
    Further inputs/thoughts,
    1. This must be a very basic, can it be because my user id/password does not have sufficient privilege?
    2. I am using adapters_10131_win32.zip downloaded from Oracle, installed only SAP Adapter and then trying to connect using Adapter Application Explorer.
    Regards.

  • Oracle Adapter for MySAP: Error trying to publish RFC as WSLD using J2CA.

    Hi,
I'm using the "Application Explorer" tool in order to publish a BAPI function as WSLD. I can connect the SAP system, I can access the BAPI function, and when I try to execute "Export Outbound JCA Service (request/response)"... I get nothing but a error trace on the console...
    **Exception occurred during event dispatching:**
    **java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/bea/wli/config/resource/BaseQuery**
    **at com.ibi.bse.gui.ExportIntoWSDLDialog.exportWSDL(ExportIntoWSDLDialog.java:483)**
Although the error is quite clear:
1.- I can not find this class in any JAR file in my Oracle Service Bus installation (10.3.0).
2.- Why is the Application Explorer tool accessing that class? is it right? do I need to make extra-configuration? I just follow all the steps described in "Application Adapter Installation Guide (MySAP ERP, Siebel, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards OneWorld) WebLogic Server 10g Release 3 (10.3.1.0)" and "Application Adapter for MySAP ERP User's Guide WebLogic Server 10g Release 3 (10.3.1.0)".
    Regards,
    Antonio.

The same end-result for What Siva mentioned, can also be accomplished by running setDomainEnv script in command prompt. It would set all the required jars in classpath. In the same prompt use ae.bat. (for eg. in linux it would be . ./setDomainEnv.sh followed by ae.sh in the same bash/prompt)
I prefer to do something like this in first line of ae.bat if the above method is not possible
    SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSAPTH%;D:\bea\osb103MP1\osb_10.3\lib\sb-kernel-api.jar;D:\bea\osb103MP1\modules\com.bea.common.configfwk_1.2.1.0.jar;D:\bea\osb103MP1\modules\com.bea.core.management.jmx_1.1.0.0.jar;D:\bea\osb103MP1\modules\com.bea.core.management.core_2.3.0.0.jar;D:\bea\osb103MP1\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar;%CLASSPATH%
Mostly the problem I see is the version numbers for the jars mentioned by Siva will change from OSB version to version. Can you double check if the version numbers of jars match (eg com.bea.core.management.core_2.3.0.0.jar can be com.bea.core.management.core_2.3.x.y.jar in your installation.)
Let me know if you still have the same issue.

    Hi,
There could be couple of possible reasons for this. Please see below:
    1. When you configure a adapter target for Siebel 7.7 or 7.8, do not supply a value for "Siebel Server" field. Please see details related to this in the "Defining a Target to Siebel" section of the Siebel adapter user guide.
    2. If the adapter is installed in the UNIX platform, then necessary encoding should be added to the Application Explorer and the Application Server. Please see the details for this in the "Establishing a Connection (Target) for Siebel" of the Siebel adapter user guide.
Let me know whether this sorts out the issue or not.

    Kris

  • Set events parameter in oracle 11g for SAP

    Hi All,
Recently we have upgraded 10.2.0.4 oracle database to 11.2.0.3 (AIX 7.1) for SAP application.
Some non-default event parameters were set when Database was running with 10.2.0.4 version. After upgrade to 11.2.0.3, those events were not seen in pfile/spfile. However, post_upgrade log shows that those events were set (and log displays the list of the events as well).
Now, my concern is whether those event parameters were set already by default (if it is already set after upgrade, not sure why pfile not reflecting them) or do I need to set the parameters manually.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
    Regards,
    Prakash

Yes, they seem to be part of the upgrade itself, and SAP seems to set them in multiple places:
    1) During the dbua.sap.sh run, post-processing calls custom scripts which set these events (check the CustomScript.log in $ORACLE_BASE/cfgtoollogs/dbua/SID/upgrade1 and you can see where it is set)
    2) The post_upgrade_status.sql script in $ORACLE_HOME/sap/ora_upgrade/post_upgrade sets them when you run it as directed after the upgrade
    3) The SBP post-patch instructions specify a command to run that sets these in the spfile
I don't think any of the upgrade steps regenerate the pfile, so if you're looking at one you generated pre-upgrade (like I did earlier today to pull out underscore parameters and user/background_dump_dest) that you then used to startup the database, SAP is definitely changing stuff behind your back. I'd just regenerate the pfile to avoid confusion.
