Order Budgeting - Advance Payment Issue

Dear Experts,
I have assigned current budget in one Internal Order. Now while I am posting advance payments with special Gl transaction (F-48) and using this Internal Order as cost object then system is not consuming/assigning any amount to that order.
On the other hand, while I am posting any expense via t-code (FB50) and putting the same internal order as cost object then system is consuming/assigning the same amount to that order as consumed.
Can any one please guide me where i am mistaken or what would be the reason for this ?

The system is behaving as designed. Payments hit balance sheet accoutnt and hence it does not go to the Int Order. Expenses from FB50 do hit internal order
If you want budget check during advance payments, I think its possible with PS module

    Dear Amol,
    I think your issue can be addressed by using Credit control area. Please do the following:
    a) Define a credit control area for the customer.
    b) Maintain credit limit as 1 Rupee T-code - FD32
    c) Whenever the customer gives you a advance payment the same shall be entered in the system thru FI route and using the while FI posting in "More Data" the relevant Credit control area should be entered.
    d) By doing the above the advance payment received from the customer shall be reflected as "Special Liability" in the Credit control area (FD33). Status Tab in FD32.
    e) Now this advance payment will act as the credit limit of the customer. So after this if the Sales order value exceeds this limit the Warning or Error message can be set.

    i raise one po in me21n after that i  post advance payment document through based on the purchase order number  & in f-48 their is field  purchase order number and item numer i had already given what i post the purchase order number and item number after that again i went to me22n display purchase order the advance amount is not updated field in status tab can u please provide the answer

    There is no  way in the system to restrict the payment amount to 50%once, it is mentioned in the payment terms as 50% advance. System does not have control tocheck and avoid the full payment

  • Link with blocked sales order with advance payment

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a scenerio, where, due to a shortfall of customer credit balance, system blocks the sales order and upon receiving an advance payment from the customer, i would like to know if the system can validate that, an advance has been received and can inform the user that advance received against the blocked sales order. So that, instead of manually releasing the blocked sales order user gets to know whihc are the sales orders to be released first and based on which system can allow the user to release first the blocked sales order and then the subsequent sales orders are processed for credit check.
    Is there any exit or what is the enhancement that can be implemented for having this scenerio mapped.

    If you dont maintain any sale order reference and execute VKM3, system will populate all blocked sale orders.  There users can select the required sale order and release it and I dont think, for this purpose, an user exit is required.  You can also even consider VKM1
    Still if you feel that it is required, you can try with any of the following user exits.
    1)  LVKMPFZ1: USER_CREDIT_CHECK1
    2)  LVKMPFZ2: USER_CREDIT_CHECK2
    3)  LVKMPFZ3: USER_CREDIT_CHECK3

    Check the field status group of the Reconciliation account of your vendor and the field status of posting key 39 and make sure that PURCHASE ORDER is not suppressed.
    Field status group of the recon account can be checked at FS00 (3rd tab). Double click on it and it will take you to the status screen.
    The posting key field statuses can be checked at OB41.

    Client A raised sales order for Customer A of Rs1,10,000.. Out of which Customer A had given as Rs50000 before as advance at starting.... so where to maintaiin in the sales order the advance payment and raise invoice for balance payment....

    There is no provision to maintain any advance in sale order.
    You have created a sale order for Rs.110000, that means you have to bill for the same amount.
    Posting advance amount to the customer account is Finance transaction (FI).
    Once you post the advance 50000rs to customer account throuhg FI transaction, same credit balance will be appearing in FBL5N statement of the customer account.
    Once you raise the billing document & post it to accounting, later you can adjust this advance against billing document.

  • Advance Payments in Sales Order

    Hi,
    Say, Customer Terms of Payment --> 50% Advance ; 30% Dely; 20% Receipt.
    The customer can issue Letter of Credit Also.
    Scenario:
    Customer PO value / Sales order value  : USD 5000/-
    Advance to be paid : USD 2500 (50%)
    There may be a scenario where the customer shall pay the Advance - USD 1500 by cash & remaining USD 1000 by Letter of Credit.
    But, when i create a Sales order for this PO, the Order value shall be USD 5000/- whereas the Letter of Credit shall only be for USD 1000. The system blocks the Sales Order for Financial Document value. This block should not happen as this will cause delay the delivery for no fault from the customer.
    Can anyone let me know the SAP standard process for handling Advance payment from Customers.

    Your requirement can be fulfilled through down payment configurations
    Make the following  down payment configurations :
    item category group - 0005
    item category  - TAO
    for this TAO item category a billing plan 01 (milestone billing plan -01) will be assigned and its billing relevance should be I which is order related billing .
    billing doc type - FAZ
    cancellation billing doc type - FAS
    maintain a condition type AZWR which is down payment settlement , it has requirement as 2 and calc type as 48 acct key as ERL
    Now when you enter a material in line item 10 and go to item data , you can see the billing plan tab.
    now go to billing plan tab and enter the start date and enter the dates on which billing has to be done and then in billing request enter 0009 which is for down payment.once u press enter automatically it all the dates get blocked and billing request by default  you get as 1 , that you change it to 4 or 5 . 4 is for down payment at value basis and  5 is for down payment at percentage basis. and beside that there will be a billing type .assign billing doc type as FAZ. to all dates
    check the copying requirements are there at VTFA as 20 and for item category TAO copying requirements 23 is maintained or not 
    now do the cycle    OR - LF - FAZ (billing doc type)

    For this requirement you have to do validation of the amount field for advance payment againest PO.

  • Purchase order advance payment

    Hi Friends,
    Below is five requirement from my client regarding down payment and down payment request.
    A) While posting down payment or down payment request Purchase order should require entry.
    B) System should allowed to put purchase order for the same vendor against we posting advance payment or raising payment request.
    C) If 100% advance has already paid against any purchase order, system should not allow to post any further advance against that purchase order.
    D) If the 100% GRN has been done against any purchase order system should not allow to post any further advance against that purchaser order.
    E) While paying advance system should consider the GRN or advance payment done against the purchase order, and system should allow the pay advance or raise the advance request less the value of advance or GRN value already done.

    whatever Mr.Ajay has told correct 1 & 2
    The 1 and 2 are possible using field status groups. You can make the PO mandatory
    The rest are not possible in standard system.
    but system will propose while posting down payment r down payment request amount more than PO value warning message has accrued but it will never stop for posting ok
    one more solution is with the help of ABAPer we can able to stop - Use Substitution,
    Mr. Ajay below mentioned Option for EHP4 is also available for in this ME2DP also never stop - more than PO value down payment r down payment request
    Its a matter of discipline... however, explore the new feature of PO advance payment in EHP4, Tcode ME2DP. May be you get few answers there

  • Advance payment against Purchase order/Work Order: F-47

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    Our Client's requirement is as follows u2013
    Advance payment against Purchase order/Work Order:
    1. Advance should be PO/WO wise & not item wise.
    2. Advance should not exceed total PO/WO value.
    3. Advance against PO should include taxes & conditions maintained in PO/WO
    When I put the purchase order number along with the item number, it is taking into account the basic price for that specific item. This amount is excluding Tax.
    Actually the advance is given against the Purchase Order. So whether it is possible to
    1. Remove the mandatory filed of  Item number against the PO?
    2. Whether the amount of the advance should be inclusive of the Tax?

  • Unwanted printing of advanced payment when printing a sales order or pick

    It will be great to have an option of disabling the automatic printing of the advanced payment incoming payment when printing a sales order or invoice.
    The option is currently not available on the document printing options.

    No print sequence for sales order is setup.
    But even before on 2007 version, it was SAP default to print always the incoming payment of an advanced payment on every sales order or invoice.

  • Advance payment against Sales order

    Dear SAP consultants,
    A customer pays multiple advances against a sales order.
    The advances can be in different modes of payments (credit cards, cash , Check etc).
    The requirement is that,
    1. These advances should be captured in Sales order, the document should show the flow of advances as well (Sale order document flow).
    2. Modes of payment should be captured
    3. FI document should be created and cleared
    4. Net order value of the sales order should be reduced as and when advance recieved.
    5. Pls note that there is no fixed amount that should be paid by the customer (No billing plan)

    In SD, we have the functionality of downpayments.
    Here when sales order is created, particular part of the money is paid in advance.
    Simultaneously, there will a posting creating manually in FI side for this money in some Special Purpose GL accounts ( indicating this sales order) meant for downpayment purpose and it is not posted as revenue.
    Like this there will be various such advance payments.
    Once the materials are delivered and invoiced, the advance payments will be converted into Revenue in Finance towards this sales order.
    You can ask somebody about this downpayments and make your own customisation to suit to ur reqmt of showing the payments made and the payment mode in saels order itself.

    If there is any adavance payment against vendor and when you do any transaction system will give information massage. then
    you can handle through massage controlle as you required. (some technical changes required and ABAPer will help you in this regard)
