Orders Types on Maintenance Items (Plans)

Dear gurus...
How can I control the order types that can be assign to maitenance plans?
The maintenance items to default orders types is one thing, maintenance items to order types is another thing!
In witch customizing tasks allow me to manage the order types that can be assign to plans?

Hi,
Order type control to Maintenance Plant is at node OIOD.
You can Define Default Order Types for Maintenance Items under
Functions and Settings for Order Types node at SPRO.

  • Order type for conversion of planned order

    Hi gurus,
    I have configured 6 different order types for PPPI and not maintained any default order type for conversion of planned order into process order. But when I am trying to convert planned order into process order by branching out from MD04 to COR7 via the popup window, default order type PI01 gets selected which  cannot be changed. However, if I am converting the planned order into process order directly through COR7, then choice of order type is available.
    Could you please tell me how to ensure choice of order type while branching from MD04 to COR7?

    The order type is selected as below
    First it will look for any scheduling profile is maintained. If so it will select default from the profile.
    Next if the profile is not there it will look for any scheduler is assigned in material master. Through the scheduler it will select the profile and default order order type.
    Next it will look in plant parameter. With conversion from plan order to prod order  order type
    Next it will look in MRP group conversion order type,  if you have mainted it in Material master.
    This is the sequence. Please check have to maintained any of these.

  • Order type settings for  convert planned order to production order

    Dear sir,
    I have 1 company code ,under 2 virtual plants are there.My scenario is plant 1(main plant)and plant 2 (virtual plant)
    both plant same FERT material.in plant 2 i am creating sale order and atual production will be done in plant 1.
    FERT material plant 2(strategy-40 sp.procurement-40 setting in spro ref plant (plant1) )and  plant 1 material (strategy 82)
    run the MRP MD50.panned orders are created but iam not getting production orders directly not getting the production orders
    .i have done settings in spro OPPE order type is given.in MD04 manual conversion planned order to production order system asking order type ,but i given order type in OPPE
    What are the settings for  production order directly from sale order at the time of RUNNING MD50

    Hi,
    You will not get a production order out of MD50. That would have to be set up in the SD customizing for the sales order item, but I am not sure that would work with your two-plant setup.
    After MD50 you need to run CO41 for the collective conversion (and I also recommend the mentioned production scheduling profile customizing and then maintain this profile in the material master work scheduling view)

  • Can not change SO order type - disallowed by item settings

    Hi,
    I want to be able to swap between 2 sales order document types, and use this to control selection of item categories.
    I have 2 order types with exactly the same cofiguration - one is created as a copy of the other with all dependent tables. I then maintained 'the other' order type as alternative in VOV8.
    However, the validation done by standard SAP in transaction VA02 when doing this seem very strict and much stricher than the F1 help in the alternative field in VOV8 indicates. A little debugging reveals this is determined in MV45AFFE_FELDAUSWAHL_VBAP-MATN in the big IF statement in the beginning.
    Most of the checks here make good sense in order to ensure the order is not processed already, but 2 checks are disturbing me :
    1. The check for item category structure ( TVAP-STRUM ) which disallow any material with BOM structure
    2. The check for consumption ( VBAP-KZVBR ) which disallow components with sales order consumption.
    Is anyone using this functionality and has overcome these issues ?
    The Enhancement-point in the end of the form is no help, as it is not executed at EXIT.

    Alternative sales document type
        Alternative sales document type that can be selected during document processing.
    Use
    During sales document processing you can switch to one of the sales document types specified here.
    Dependencies
    So that you change the sales document type during sales order processing, the system has to run certain checks when the alternative sales document types are determined in Customizing.  Only the document types that have passed these checks can be used as alternative document types.
        o   The following sales document categories can be used: Inquiry (A), quotation (B), order (C), contract (G), return (H), free-of-charge delivery (I), credit or debit memo
    Customizing settings for sales document types:
    -   The sales document type must not be blocked (Sales document block field)
    -   The sales document type must not have an indicator (Indicator field)
    -   The settings in the Item division field must agree (the division in the sales document header is valid for all items)
    The following must agree for both document types:
    -   Document payment guarantee procedure
    -   Partner determination procedure
    -   Text determination procedure
    -   Status procedure
    -   Pricing hierarchy category
    -   Billing plan type/invoicing plan
    -   Payment card type
    -   Promotion/receiving point determination (Customizing settings for retail)
    -   Commitment dates
    -   Payment card checking group

  • Error in Rush Order type with BOM item!!

    Hello,
    I am facing a very strange error while creating a rush Order with BOM item.
    System Error:
    1. No item category available (Table T184 SO ERLA TAQ).
    I except the error. I get next error as
    2. Structure explosion for item 000010 is not possible.
    After this BOM explodes with only first 2 Sub Items ( Item cat for main item is determind as TAQ and Sub Items as TAE) , where as the complete BOM has 7 Sub items.
    I have made the required configs in item cat determination in T184 table for order type SO, as follows.
    SO ERLA - TAQ for Main Item of the BOM
    SO NORM TAQ TAE for the Sub Item of the BOM
    The same item (BOM ) works very well in OR/BV kind of sales order types, by exploding the BOM to full level(i.e all the 7 sub items are determined).
    Has any one come across such an issue. Please let me know what could be the solution?

    In vov7 for TAQ Item Cat. the structure scope is maintained as 'A'. And that's the reason for Standard order 'OR' , the BOM is exploding properly.
    It is only with Rush Order , the BOM is not exploding correctly.

  • How to get customer consignm orders (type of cat item KBN) updates LIS

    we have an issue with this type of sales orders, we are trying to update an not standard info structure (created by us) but we have found that this type of category item is not relevant foe info structure updating (it has Statistics group for the item category
    equal blank).
    Does anybody know how to get that this type of item category is relevant foe that updating??

    I believe you can use one of the customer exits in the FM which creates your IDOC to filter items.

    In config, you have to have assignment of the document types to the item category groups.
    In SPRO you can Assign Item Category Usage for a combination of -
    1] Sales Document Type
    2] Item Category Group and
    3] High level Item Category etc.
    The path in SPRO is Sales and Dist --> Sales --> Sales Documents --> Sales Document Item --> Assign Item Categories.
    Just below "Define Item Category Usage".

    Anil,
    If you want to have different order types for different materials then you can define that in transaction OPPR for MRP Groups - Planned order conversion section and assign this MRP group to the relavant materials in Material Master MRP1 view.
    If you are looking at having different order types for a material based on MTS or MTO scenario, then please assign the different order types for the process in Production scheduling profile through transaction OPKP and then assign this profile to material master- work scheduling view.

    Go to SPRO --> Plant Maintenance & CS --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Maintenance and Service Orders --> Assign order types to maintenance plants.
    Maintain the order type SM03 against the plant.
    Go to SPRO --> Plant Maintenance & CS --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Maintenance and Service Orders --> Completion confirmations --> Define the parameters for completion confirmations.
    These both should be done, try to raise the SM03 order now.

    I have one doubt.That when i am converting the planned order to the production order than from which default settings it takes the order type.
    As we can maintain the default order type in OPPQ , under conversion and in production scheduling profile also we maintain order type for make to stock, make to order, etc.
    So my question is to which setting the system gives the priority.
    Or they both are for different purpose.

  • Priority field mandatory for planning plant-order type

    Hi
    Is there a standard way through configuration that I may contol priority field in order header to be mandatory for some order types only in one planning plant?
    Problem is that if I make the priority field mandatory for order type, it will be so for all the planning plants which i dont want. Also i dont want it to mandatory at planning plant level since there are many order types under one planning plant and requirement is to make priority field mandatory only for some order types under this plant.

    My requirement is for combination of both.

    I would like to know what are the implications if you change an existing order type and you make the order type "intergrated planning" applicable??
    And  does the change  allow the existing orders to have plan settlement possible??
    Would it be better to close the existing orders and create a new order type and make intergrated planning possible.

    Hello Roperta,
    You can change the "Integrated planning" indicator at a later date under the following conditions:
    Unit costing was never performed on the job affected. That is, no unit costing was carried out, even if it was later undone.
    Planning data was never entered on the job.
    or
    if planning data was entered, then
    All plan values and -quantities from internal allocations must be zero. Data from primary cost planning is possible.
    The "Integrated planning" indicator may not be set in the fiscal year- dependent data from the plan version.
    No plan line items may exist.

  • SAP QM Inprocess Inspection for a specific Process order type

    Dear All,
    There is a requirement. As no QM type is maintained for FG material in a plant. Now the requirement is there is a specific order type for which Inprocess Inspection  is to be activated for all the FG materials. But at the same tie for all other order types there won't be any inspection for the same set of FG material.
    I tried creation Z03 by copying  03 inspection type. But the problem is source inspection is from Production. So Z03 is not confined to only the specific process order but instead it is generating inspection lot for other Process order also.
    Is it possible to create a scenario where we can attach inprocess inspection to a specific order type only.

    You can assign the in process inspection to Order type in SPRO as shown below in the process order type dependent parameters in Planning tab in COR4.
