Org and Staffing
Hi All
I create the structure in Org and staff. mode from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.9999. After saving and exiting and Reopening it, I cant see the same?, Again I create the same , again its happening. I tried for every search term. But it is not.
Can anybody tell me what could be problem?

Hi Melinda,
Are you able to see any org structure in PPOME, that was created prior or just the new one?? If you don't have the structural authorization you cannot see the org units in PPOME/SE/CE screens.
No matter which transaction you use (PPOCE/PO10), if you saved your information it should be visible if you have all the structual authorization.
If you want to make sure that your entries were saved, Please go to SE16 and go to HRP1000, select Plan version 01, Object type 'O', enter the end date as 12/31/9999, run it for all the Org units.
If you don't know the org unit number, check for the short/long description that you have mentioned while creating.
You should see your org unit in the above table if you would have saved properly.

Can anybody pls help me out with the settings which would enable me to have the various object ids displayed against the objects in PPOCE, PPOME, PPOSE ie Org and Staffing.
Eg. I want to have the org unit id across the Org unit created in PPOME.

Mainly the table HRP1001 gets updated. All the relationships (manager <> subordinate, pernr <-> positioin, etc.) are stored in this table.
So if we create a relationship between manager and subordinate eg., then two records will go in table HRP1001.
record 1 : Manager <----
isthemanger of Subordinate
record2 : subordinate -
> reports to Manager

Problem PPOME - Organization and Staffing
Hi Experts,
I have the following problems concerning Organization and Staffing interface :
1) When trying to create a new Organization Unit or Position in the Basic Data Tab the Abbreviation and Description are lost, instead it keeps the standard ( like New org. unit New Organizational Unit), although I can see the correct Abbreviation and Description in the Overview Area. It seems like a bug, but still couldn't find an appropriate note about it. My customer uses SAP ECC 6.0.
2)I would like to insert new tab pages in the Detail Area with custom pd infotypes. I managed to display one (through configuration in the Hierarchy Framework) but doesn't appear properly. Table T77OMTABUS looks like this :

Difference in views "Organization and Staffing" & "Organization and Staffin
We are using the PPOME Organization and Staffing in a workflow for Role Resolution.
The Standard Role 0000157 (Superior chief Position- ) is to be used, which will require a restructuring of the Org Structure.
Therefore, I need to know,
The difference between the two views "Organization and Staffing" & "Organization and Staffing (workflow)",
and if these two views are synchronized.
And if there is difference between the two views then how to configure the view "Organization and Staffing (workflow)" for using in the workflow.

Khawaja Bilal Sohaib.One works on the structure created for the HR plan variant, the other works on the structure created for the workflow plan variant. Of course, in many (probably most) systems, these two variants are identical, so there will not be any visible difference.

Sorry, I didn't notice that you had already decided that the question had been answered satisfactorily. Still, even if it solved your problem, the correct answer is that all those PP*W transactions work on structure for the workflow plan variant.

Using Simple Maintenance to create organizational units, jobs, positions, and tasks eliminates all but the most essential details. Simple Maintenance knows which relationships are most commonly required, and generates these relationships automatically when you create an object.
It is recommended to create most of the objects and relationships of your organizational structure using Simple Maintenance. Detail Maintenance is best used to perform maintenance functions on individual objects, especially, it is an effective means to update a particular objectu2019s infotypes
Difference between - Simple maintainence and Expert Mode
Both the interfaces are used to create Org structure. If the company needs to create a huge structure, we will use Simple maintenance, because it is user friendly that is it is easy to create a structure, the system automatically relationship between the objects. Using Infotypes we can create Objects in Expert mode and we have to use different transactions to create various types of objects
Normally we use Simple Maintanience.

Our server is CRM 5.0, I would like to download the data from CRM , however, I would like to know the table name which keep the sales org and sales area of role Sold-to in T-code : BP . However, we can't find the actualty table.

I think, for you Organization related table CRMM_BUT_LNK0141 would be useful.
From this table you will get Sales Org, Division, Distribution Channel.
And in order to get Sales Office of BP, you will get it from table CRMM_BUT_SET0140 where you can put set_guid fetched from CRMM_BUT_LNK0141

BAPI to get customers filtered by sales org and distribution channel

I'm writing a little portal web-app on an MS platform to allow externals to place orders directly. I have a problem that I need to get a list of customers (for ship-to) that is filtered by the same sales org and dist chan as my sold-to company and BAPI_CUSTOMER_GETLIST doesn't return this info for filtering. What options do I have?

in our implementation we plan to use ERP sales org for all sales documents in CRM hence we plan to map org structures between CRM and ERP.
we also have a need to leverage Employee maintenance done in HR. hence we plan to download employees from HR into CRM.
can you please help guide on how we can achieve both the above scenarios?..can we maintain HR org and ERP org in CRM?

What I undestand is u want to map the ERP sales area i.e. the Logistic Org Structure into CRM as well as u want the HR Integration with employees coming from HR.
a. ERP Sales Area or Logistic Org structure
This implies mapping of the Sales Organization with CRM.
This can be downloaded using the transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE. This will result in creation of organization unit in CRM represting the ECC sales area.
b. HR employees
This will requre HR integration to be activated, here the employees will flow from HR to CRM via ALE and will be maintained as business partners with the role Employees.

where should I look for documentation on org and javax packages?
I mean, if I see a function from the java package, I can google it and find out which are it's constructors, methods, what it implements or extends etc.
But if I see for instance import org.jdesktop.application.ResourceMap where can I find out anything about this one? Just try to google it, nothing useful comes up. Or try FrameView, which is quite important- the same problem.
Are this packages documented somewhere, like java package is?Javax packages are standard Java eXtensions (y'see?) and the docs tend to be in the standard Sun documentation. As for "org", you need to look a bit further. For instance if you're talking about packages starting with org.apache, that points you to apache.org. So for org.jdesktop, guess where you go? It's the recommended way to name your packages, from your domain name that way.

There is no direct relation.
Sales organisation in broader level, it is responsible for selling a product in a company.
It is liable to the customer interms of service of the product or service and confirmation of the sale order, delivery and invoicing.
Shipping Point is a logical point from where the shipment / dispatch begins.
Both Sales organisation & Shipping point wil be linked to plant (one or more).
In case of sale order, sales org will decide the delivering plant.
Shipping point will be picked based on delivery plant, sh.conditions (cmr) & loading grp (mmr).

Cannot create Org. and Groups BP.
I'm trying to create a BP Org. but the button in BP is grey-out. The only BP I can create is Person.
When I look at the Settings->Authorization Overview, I can see the the option to create Org and Grp is unchecked.
The account I'm using has the profile SAP_ALL. I've checked the BAPU_GRP and BAPU_RLT, all are * as default.

Check the details of the BP Role '000000'.
It should be valid for all the business partner categories 'Organization', 'Person' and 'Group'.

Rearrange workitems after organisation and staffing change
Hello,
I have a question regarding workitems after an organisation and staffing change.
Old situation
Organisation A has Position A and B.
Position A is described by responsibility E
Position B is described by responsibility F
Position C is described by responsibility G
Position D is described by responsibility H
New situation
We disconnect responsibilies E, F, G and H from position A, B, C and D.
We created Organisation Q with position W and X.
Position W is described by responsibility E, F.
Position X is described by responsibility G, H.
I expected that the workitems which were not already assigned to users were taken over to the new positions. This is not the case.
Should I run a job or did I do something wrong?

I run the program, assigned an item to myself and then released it. The workitem is now attached to the new position and not to any user. This is what I want.
Is there a transaction/program to assign and release workitems en masse?
It's about 21.000 workitems which have to be reassigned.

Central Purchase Org and Multiple co codes
Hello everyone,
We are working in SRM 5.0 classic deployment and PDP scenario. We have an issue. We have central purchase org and multiple co codes. So one purchase org will be responsible for all the co codes. In the backend system, pur org is not assigned to any co code since it is a central pur org. Now in SRM , we created a root org, under the root org we created different companies and at the same level i.e under root- purchase org is created and then purchsae groups. In attribute BUK of purchase org, all co codes are assigned. When we check BBP_ATTR_CHECK for this purchase org, we get an error- "company cannot be determined. So we'll not be able to shop. Please let me know if anyone has ever worked on this scenario and whatz the solution? Suitable points will be awarded for the useful answers. Thanks in advance.

KapilI would not suggest this as an approach. First question is what kind of accounting reports do they need on plant level? Is it AR/AP items per plant or complete set of financial reports include BS and P&L statement.
WERKS field exists in BSEG, so I guess some report can be generated to represent open items on this level.
But if you need deeper division in the company on this level, then segments or business areas should be used.
