Original Planned order quantity

Hi,
I want to capture the planned order quantity. Since planned order quantity is dynamic, I cant able to capture the original planned order quantity.
Eg: After running MRP, system gives a planned order 001 = 10,000 pcs.
When I convert this planned order in to partial order. Partial order quantity = 1000
Now system shows remaining planned order is 9000 pcs.
In which table system will store the original planned order quantity of 10,000 pcs. I tried in planned order table PLAF. The field total planned order quantity (GSMNG) is dynamic. It shows the current planned order quantity only.
Question:
1. Is it possible to find original planned order quantity?
2. If yes, then from which table we can see that.
Regards / US

MD05 info cannot be directly read from a table in a meaningful manner unless you have setup the same to be a transparent table. So to read the info you will have to use - BAPI_MATERIAL_MRP_LIST
But I believe a better approach for your need would be to read the planned order & planned qty. from AFPO, add this to the value which you see in PLAF. This would give you the correct picture in your report, as MRP list keeps changing & you will not be able to have a reliable report if its based on MD05 data.
Provide the above spec's to your developer & the report should be easily built.

  • Read planned order quantity

    Hi Experts,
I wanted to know if is there any way to read the planned order quantity directly in a macro ?
The scenario is that production is planned on 3 machines in production shop. When I refer to planning book, I get consolidated production of all the 3 machines (in KF Production Planned) but I want to use the production of individual machine & do some calculation in macro. Is there any BAPI / User Exit available to achieve this?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Sandeep Patil

You can use User exit macro to do this. Call BAPI_MOSRVAPS_GETLIST2 in this macro and you can get the planned order data. but this is complex developement and you need a good ABAP skill to do this.

  • Plan Order Quantity Table & Field

    Hi
I want Plan Order quantity in z report.
Please help how I will get from system.
I required table & field name.
    Regards
    ARK

    Dear Ashish,
    No
    This is not possible
Once the plan order is deleted you can not get in any table and
Also once the plan order is partially converted to process order then only remaining qty will be stored in PLAF table
PLAF is only table for plan orders as plan orders are not confirmed receipts
Only in initial stage when plan order is created with the quantity then it appears in PLAF
Once you start converting partially then the remaining qty gets updated in PLAF

  • Srap quantity should reduce planned order quantity

    Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario here and i wanted to know if this can be technically achieved .
1.We have IDOC flowing from legacy system and it consists of both good quantities produced and scrap quantities produced .
2.Good quantity produced must be reported as a reporting point confirmation. Scrap quantity produced must be reported as reporting point scrap.  Scrap quantity produced must also reduce the planned order planned order quantity.
3.Function module currently calls BAPI 'BAPI_REPMANCONF1_CREATE_MTS’ to post good Pieces Produced, can the same BAPI be used to call the scrap quantity and reduce the planned order ?
I have tried 'BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CHANGE’ to achieve this scenario but still the planned order quantity is not getting reduced.
I want to know the feasibility to achieve this in technical or functional side .
Kindly help me to solve this problem , rewards would be generous enough for people who solve my problem.

    Hi Santosh,
Yes, it's true, it would simplify a lot. Unfortunately it can't be done.
These are high-end, high value and small life-cycle components and some packaging materials. Packaging materials are relatively easy to stock for one week or more but the other components should only be stocked to a minimum level.
Moreover, suppliers of high-end components do not feel the need to respect scheduled delivery dates because they "own" the market, so we can't be sure when stock will be available. The high demand for this components also adds more uncertainty because there might be only (unplanned) partial deliveries during the week as of production is available and distributed for us and other supplier's vendors.
Oh, and a production lot can really be of as low as 40 units in some cases.
Well anyway, I've tried the ATP approach but immediately run into a problem. In the morning I might be assembling a component (A) for the afternoon and I have a delivery scheduled for the morning of another component (B). I can't plan the afternoon production of a product with both components. Even being 2-3 days, in some very frequent cases we should immediately start production as soon as components arrive.
So ATP isn't very adequate even in the shortest time-frame to plan production in this scenario.
Thanks a lot for your input Santosh, it was worth a shot. Right now I can't see an option other than copy SAP_PP_009 to a new heuristic that reduces planned orders to component availability or to use a very small maximum lot size for these short production runs.

  • Ppds Planned order quantity is taken back to DP for analysis

    Hi Guru,
Can any one explaine in step by step how i can release my order quantity from PPDS to DP to do my further analysis?
Please it will be really great if any one can guide me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kumar.

    Kumar,
Can you explain a little more what you are asking?
DP is demand planning.  Here you are managing and deciding what your demand will be (predicting what you will sell is one of the more common outputs of DP)
PPDS is detailed supply planning.  Here you are creating your supply elements, determining exactly how you actually intend to procure or build the product.  In this plan, you have the opportunity to take into consideration capacity, execution duration, and the availability of lower level materials. In many (but not all)  cases, the PPDS plan is built after the Demand plan has been turned into a final production demand forecast, and released to production for execution, prior to actually receiving the actual sales orders.  In some cases, companies also may create an intermediate supply plan, which would usually be at a simpler level of detail (SNP).
Now you say you wish to 'release my order quantity from PPDS to DP' for some kind of analysis.  I am not sure what this means.  Supply and demand are two different things.
Companies that wish to, say, compare the demand plan to the supply plan typically don't do it in DP.  Some will write custom reports, others build custom infocubes in a BW and perform their analyses there.  It is definitely possible to extract supply elements (or just about any other type of data) into some kind of data structure, and place these elements into a DP planning book, if there is a business requirement.  This would definitely be non-standard, and would have to be designed and built from scratch.
If you are looking for a transaction that will 'releases the order quantity from PPDS to DP', I don't believe it exists.  If you wish to pull data from PPDS or SNP or ERP into DP in general, I would say you should talk to your local BW and DP experts to see what they can design for you.

    now problem solved

  • Planned Order Rates

We run detail scheduling for our plant. We often change the duration of the planned order to either run longer or slower than what was created by the system (based off of the rates). If we change the planned order quantity the rate of the planned order will change back to original and the duration will change based off the new planned order quantity. How can I prevent the rate from reverting back to its original rate if we decide we want to change the planned order quantity after the rate has been changed?
Just in case you are wondering. We often change the duration of planned order or process order letu2019s say from 5 hrs to  8 hrs to fill in a shift and at the last minute we may decide to build more.
    Thanks
    Rob
    Thanks

    Hi,
If i understand you correctly, currently your planned overhead rate is 3% and you wants to change to 2%.
if this is the case goto your Overhead rate in configuration and copy overhead rate key which is with plan overhead type(2). and change 3% end as of today and copied one with new rate (e.g 2%) as of tomorrow and till end of life(12/31/9999)....
    hope this helps you.
    Thanks,

  • Planned Order creation for Sales Order and Purchase Order

    Hi
    We have a following requirement.
In normal scenario when we have demand for material  which was created by MD61 and in addition to that if there is Sales Order the 1st planned order gets revised. To better expalin this consider possible scenario
You create plan via MD61 for 200 qty .The system creates Planned Order for 200.
Now there is Sales Order for 150 peices. Then what happens is original  Planed Order of 200 is changed to 50 and another planned order is created for 150 peices. The requirement is not summed.
Now in new scenario instead of Sales Order there is Intercompany Purchase Order of 150 peices.
Now the system is not changing original Planned Order of 200,but it created another planned order of 150.So now there are 2 Planned Orders of 150 and 200.
What I want to know is there any way wherein the system will reduce the original planned order (similar to Sales Order scenario)
    Regards

    Hi,
Use Strategy 52 in urs case.
    PIR witll be created .
None convertable planned order will be created.
Once you get sales order for that material.
New planned order will be created which will consume PIR( planned order ).
    Eg.
    PIR 10.
    Planned order 10 qty.
    Sales oder 6
Planned order for SO 6 qty
Planned order through pir will become 4 qty.

  • Tracking the actual sale order quantity

    Hi Friends,
How to track the actual sales order quantity given by the customer.
Ex: we assume the customer has placed an order of 100 units and stock is only 90 so we create the sales order for 90 units only.
How to find out the difference of 10 units as a report in standard sap system.
    Thanks
    AJ

    Dear AJ,
This is how normal sales process works.
You create Sales Order line item for the quantity that customer has requested. (eg: 100)
Then you do a ATP for that Line item. Let's say you have only 90 in the stock. In that case system will confirm 90 for the sales order line item. (You can see the confirmed quantity in the Schedule line tab)
Normally we don't change the LI quantity as per the ATP confirmed quantity (i.e 90). Because then we loose the visibility to the customers original requested quantity (i.e 100).
Say you don't change your Line Item Order quantity to 90. Then your delivery & billing will be for 90.
So you can see in VA05, Order quantity as 100 and confirmed quantity as 90.
Your sales reports will show delivery & billing as 90. So that you have a clear visibility to the original order quantity, delivered quantity & billed quantity.
Further if remaining (open) quantity 10 is appearing your MRP & creating troubles, please use Line Item Rejection Reason as Completed. So that everything is perfect.
    Coming back to your issue.
Since your changing LI quantity to 90, you cant see 100 in the VA05 report. It always show the existing sales order line item quantity, which is 90 in this example.
Only way you can find your original sales order quantity is in the Line Item / Change Log.
This can be view by selecting below Menu option.
    Environment -> Changes
If you execute it for the relevant Line Item, you can see the Change log. In that by double clicking relevant quantity change line, you  can see the old value & new value. (In this example 100 & 90)
But that is not a good practice to do as changes will show all quantity changes that you might do based on  customer request. (Imagine if you customer ask to change it later to 95 not 100).
In that case change log will display 100 to 95, then 95 to 90. So your loosing the required visibility.
Hope this is helpful to you !

  • Sales order quantity in MD04

    Hi Gurus,
    This is my problem -
51 links (Base UoM) = 2.5 feet (Sales & Production UoM)
    Delivery unit = 53 links
In VA01 -> when I entered Sales order = 12 feet system automatically rounded it to 12.990 feet.
I also received a pop up showing "Item 10 rounded to 265 lk. Rounding reasons 1,2,8 -> long text"
In MD04 -> when I look at the Sales order quantity = 264.996 links.
Ran MRP and the planned order quantity = 265 links
There is a surplus inventory of  ------------> 0.0004 links
Settings in CUNI: (due to business reasons - Links can NOT be in Decimals. Feet has to be in decimals)

    Please help

Thanks a lot Dave. You are the only guy who really understood my issue in the first place.
And you asked all the right questions.
Just for the sake of our discussion - I created a brand new material (material setup is same as production client). MRP settings- Proc type E, PD, EX, no rounding profiles, strategy 40, Collective.
    Material master sales view
    Rounding on Sales order
    MD04 before MRP run
    MD04 after MRP run
    MD04 in Feet
    Production order conversion
Please let me know if you can not see these images.
    I really appreciate your help.
Sorry for the delay in reply. I was travelling.

  • Query on open planned orders details with process order GR details

    Dear Experts,
I need to create a query in SQ01 where the requirement is as given below,
Query output should display the open planned orders  (Planned orders which is not converted to process order details) details for a material like Planned order number, Planned order quantity, Start date, Finish date and also  the details of the list of process orders created for the same material with its details like PO qty, GR qty, Basic start date, Finish date, Actual finish date, BOM Component material codes, component quantity.
But i tried creating this query by joing the tables PLAF+ AFPO+AUFK+ AFKO+RESB . My input parameter will be the Material Number for which Planned order and Process orders are being created.
But i am unable to generate the output when i create a query by joining these tables
Is it possible to obtain the output for open planned order details and process order details in a single query ?
I am failing in my repeated attempts
Please provide your suggestions for developing this query
    Regards,
    J.Balakrishnan

    Dear Bala,
as alternative , for use a query report and not a custom abap report, you can try to read data from MRP tables MDKP and MDTB . In these one tables you can find both elements (planned order and production orders) for to start to research all details that you need.
You can also use MDTB-DELKZ to filter only planned order (PA) and Production order (FE).
With the number order you can read the RESB table in order to define components details.
With this table would you the advantage to have always the opened orders.
If the following table are empty you should make a little customizing modification so that once MRP run will write them.
Give me feedback if i have been useful for you.

  • Multiple planned orders for a requirement

    Hi,
We have PPDS MRP with NEW shelflife w/ lot size profle run for product and produces multiple planned orders for the the requirements.
I have a requirement of 4,750 and 14,976 in the system and available stock 86,966.
The system creates two planned orders with 34,632 and 26,771 PCs.
Why is the system creating two order instead of one??
The min. lot size is 1876 and rounding is 936.
can somebody tell me what factors the system is considering??
    Thanks.

    Hi Visu,
Which lot size procedure you are using , please check in lot size tab in Product master, it should be lot for lot.
if it is lot for lot , please change it to by period and weekly , is it change the planned order quantity ?
