Oslo Masterpage - How to decrease the height of ms-dialogHidden ms-core-header ms-tableRow?

I want to decrease the height of one of the elements. It's the header. I identified it using IE, as ms-dialogHidden ms-core-header ms-tableRow. I tried setting the height in the css, but nothing happens. It looks like it's fixed. I can manipulate the other
elements, but not this one. Image included. Does anyone know how I could change the height of it?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to decrease the height of one of the elements.
Please add the JavaScript code to the Content Edit Web Part, then the height will be changed.

How much do you want to decrease the panel height?
There are two limiting factors, namely the minimum computed size of its components and the layout-dependent computed size. Window resizing will 'clip' the panel, but its dimensions remain the same once this limit has been reached.
With respect to the first factor, there are only a few things that can be done: change the font or image sizes of internal components, change the spacing between components, change the borders around and within the components (where applicable).
With respect to the second factor, there is some flexibility, but it depends on what your app requires. The only way to reduce the height of a BorderLayout.NORTH panel is to force its size down by adding other panels BorderLayout.CENTER and/or BorderLayout.SOUTH in such a way that at least the CENTER panel expands out and causes the NORTH (and possibly SOUTH) panel(s) to compute to their smallest dimensions. Otherwise, the computation will expand the NORTH panel as far as it can or divide between the two or three equally (for example, if each panel only contains buttons with text). Nonetheless, by default, the CENTER panel occupies the largest region, pushing the others to the borders as tightly as possible. Do you have a CENTER panel added?

Set your columns back to one for the moment. In layout mode, insert a Text box. Place it in the upper left corner of your document, and drag down and right to the size of the container for your two columns. Click inside the Text Box, and now bump up your columns to 2. Your two columns are now contained in this resizable Text Box.

I create two webdynpro based iViews in the EP, then I create a page use the "2 column layout(Narrow:Wide)".I put one iview in the left column and another iview in the right column. When I preview my page, I found the left column still too wide. So how to decrease the width of my page's left column?

Hi Deyang,
You have to create your own layout:
- Navigate to System Administration->Support
- Choose Portal Runtime -> Browse Deployment
- Navigate under pcd or under temp, and download the layouts par (com.sap.portal.layouts.default.par.bak if I recall correctly)
- Import that par as a project to Developer Studio
- Make your changes (create a new jsp acording to the existing examples, and update the portalapp.xml accordingly)
- Export to par (in a different name!) and deploy
- In the portal content: new from par -> Layout (don't forget to mark it as a template).
- Your new layout template will now be available when you create new pages.

Probably Existing Aggregates are not useful .. you can edit them based on below factors
You can also check ST03N - > BI Workload - > select Weekly/Monthly - >Choose All data tab - >dbl click on Infocube - > choose query - > check the DB time % > 30% and Aggregation ratio is > 10 % then create aggregates.
Now goto RSRT choose query - > Execute debug mode - > check 'Display Aggr found' and choose 'Display Stats' -> now you can check records selected Vs records transferred in % .. it should be > 10 % .. That means the query is fetching records from Aggrs which will also improve query performance!
Also check RSRT - Execute in Debug and choose display aggregates found.. If it found aggregates then the query is using/fetching data from aggr's

How to decrease the latency with flash+http+camera video?

I build a HTTP server between live camera and flash player. The flash player connect http server with NetStream. But i find there is a long latency and NetStream doesn't decode frames when the buffersize reach a special value. So i want to know, how to decrease the latency in those environment?
And why the frame cannot be decoded when the buffersize reachs a special value. I find the buffersize*framerate is about 64. Can i low this value?

How to get the height of JPanel?

I am new to GUI programming.
I am trying to get the height of a JPanel which I put inside a JFrame but the getHeight() method returns me zero.
My code are as follows:

I am trying to get the height of a JPanelComponents don't have a size until the JFrame is made visible and all the components are layed out by the LayoutManager. You can use a WindowListener to tell when a frame is shown.

Hi Kumar,
Row height it predefined and you won't change it, but you can adjust column width.
For that use field COL_OPT of layout structure ( type LVC_SLAYO ) to optimize all columns width, or set explicit width using field catalog, setting field OUTPUTLEN for certain column.

Business Graphics - Bar Chart - How to make the height extendable

Hi Experts,
I have created Business Graphics UI element for my WD application which fetches data from R/3. I am displaying
1) Cost Element in Y-axis and Cost in X-axis.
2) I have set ChartType = Bar, height = 300, width = 830
When the no of cost elements is upto 7-8, the graph is getting displayed correctly.
However when the no of cost elements increases to more than 12, the graph becomes un readable. The system displays lot of texts in Y-axis.
I want to make sure that if no of cost elements increases, the Y-axis of graph should extend.
How we can do so?

I could not got any solution of this issue. Finally I convinced the customer to display only top 10 records. Any way higher level managers won't have time to see the graphs of all data.
One way of resolving the issue is like this - create say 3 Business Graphic UI element. The height of Business Graphic UI element can be set as 300, 600, 900 etc.
For 10 records use Business Graphic UI element of height 300.
For 20 records use Business Graphic UI element of height 600.
For 30 records use Business Graphic UI element of height 900.
Use the 'Visibility' data type to hide / unhide the Business Graphic UI of different height.

In a table I am using expand to fit height for the text fields in the table.It's working fine.But the height of the partition lines of the table which divide the columns are not increasing.
I have taken the rows of the table as different subform.I have written the following script on the exit event of the each subform to increase the height of the lines but it's not working.

I'm after pretty much the same thing too.
I have a table of text fields which are all set to vertically expand to fit. If you enter data into 1 and make it expand vertically, none of the other fields in that row expand with it. This results in table rows looking uneven.
I looked into using the 'h' property, but it doesn't seem to work. If you set up a field that displays the h value of another field it never budges from '0in', regardless of the field's height.
I'd also be grateful for any ideas.
