Outlook 2010 Migration From .PST to Online Mailbox server.

Dear All,
I have a project where the users' default email delivery location has to be moved from local .PST to the online mailbox server.
The cached exchange mode also should be enabled while doing this.
I am aware of how to do this manually, but when it comes to 2000+ users, its a head ache.
Can anyone here please point me in the right direction on how to automate this?

Can't think of a way to automate the Outlook client side of things, but in terms of importing the contents of the users .pst files into their Exchange mailboxes you can automate that using PowerShell, just as long as you can get all the .pst's into one place
and their names are the same as the target mailbox alias.
For Exchange 2007 or 2010 (without sp1) you can use Import-Mailbox
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb629586(v=exchg.80).aspx to do it. Note, you need to do it from a machine with PowerShell, access to the Exchange extensions, admin permissions and a copy of Outlook installed.
For Exchange 2010 SP1 + you can user New-MailboxImportRequest
