Outlook 2010 won't send email after a move of the .pst file.

I moved the pst file from an external drive to C:. When I restarted outlook, it asked where the file was located. After selecting the pst file in the new location, it all appeared fine. The mail was there and could be read and new mail was received. However,
it was soon discovered that the outbox was piling up and no mail could be sent. I have tried creating a new profile as suggested in other help articles, but this simply created a new and different pst and mail structure. How can I get the old one to be
able to send mail again?

What type of account are you using? POP3 or IMAP?
You mentioned you created a new profile to setup the account, can you send emails with the new profile?
If issue persists, some security program and firewall may cause the sent mail stuck in Outbox issue, please disable the firewall and anti-virus program to test the result again.
We can also run Outlook in Safe Mode to determine if 3rd-party add-ins caused this issue:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.
In case the .pst file was damaged during the move, we can also run scanpst.exe to repair the .pst file, test if this helps:

After updating to 10.8.5, I can no longer send emails out of my .mac account. I am using Outlook 2011 and have double checked the outgoing server settings and everyting checks out fine. Outlook 2010 won't send/receive at startup or at scheduled intervals

I've searched through some of the forums, but can't seem to find anything... I have a user who's Outlook 2010 won't do a send/receive at startup, nor at the scheduled intervals I have it set to.... It works in safe mode, so I have everything set right, but
when I try to go in the regular way it won't work... I've unchecked all add-ins to make them inactive, one at a time until they all were, and it still wouldn't work properly.
I've created a new profile... confirmed the send/received settings under File>Options>Advanced>Send/Receive....
Any other suggestions?

Do you have any kind of virus scanner integration? It may expose itself as an add-in in Outlook, try to disable it and check the result.
Please also try if this issue persists after you create a new Send/Receive Group.
Click File, and then click Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
In the Find Send and Recieve section, click Send/Recieve.
Under Group Name, click the group, and then click Copy.
Under Send/Receive Group Name, type the new group name, and then click OK.
Under Group Name, click the old group name.
Under both When Outlook is Online and When Outlook is Offline, click to clear the check box for Include this group in Send/Receive (F9).
Click Close.
Quit Outlook, and then restart Outlook.

I have Outlook 2010 and I use Yahoo mail as my relay. Recently, any message initiated from Outlook 2010 which contains a web link won't send (stays in outbox). I have disabled all anti-virus software. I tried changing it to plain text - so that it
shouldn't even recognize it as a link. I've tried removing the hyperlink. Nothing so far has worked. Has anyone else experienced this?

Open MS-Outlook in safe mode and then try to send emails. There can be lot of reasons behind such issue if your emails are going into Outlook instead of sending.
Common causes of such disturbance are:
Offline Mode (enable it or work with Online Mode)
Send/Receive Settings (Change manually to Automatically)
Wrong password (sync web based mail password with Outlook)
Corrupted Outlook Data File (use scanpst.exe to repair and then try to send emails)
Antivirus scanning programs (disable these programs)

Emails Retention and Re-sending emails after a while from the appliance

I need to know if it would be possible to keep track of the whole email in the appliance not only the message tracking (which contains the Processing details only without the email Body)
And I also need to know if it is possible to resend an email from this backup to a user after a while. For example after 1 month, I need to search in the email retention for a specific email and resend it to the mail server.
Other Vendor are able to do it using the message log, but I am having a hard time finding a solution for that on the cisco email security appliance

For our products we currently do not have any retention mechanism such as this. The appliance is not meant to be a mail retention system.

Outlook 2010 can't send email

When installing a mail account on my laptop, outlook creates 2 accounts and 2 data files. when I try to delete one account, outlook says its in use...
I receive email and when outlook send a test message it sends the test message successfully. The problem is when I click send new email, I get the following message:
cannot create the e-mail message because a data file to send and receive messages cannot be found...
When I check the files they are there, one is selected as default. It all seems to be proper except for there are two accounts. I deleted both accounts and reinstalled a single account. Outlook doubled them again??

Based on my research, this issue is more likely caused by Outlook profile corruption. We may try to recreate the mail profile and then reconfigure your email account in the new mail profile to see the result. To do this, please follow:
1. Go to Control Panel, locate and click Mail (32- bit).
2. Click Show Profiles button to open the Mail dialog.
3. Click Add, type a name for the profile, and then click
OK.
4. Reconfigure your new account in the new profile and then change the "Always use this profile" option to the new profile you created.

OK folks, I think we have a winner.
I finally got frustrated so I sponsored a conference call with a Palm Level 3 tech support guy, the Telus rep and a Bell rep. We were on hold for a total of like 45 minutes as I chained the call along and finally got everyone on the same line.
So here's the deal: The setup has to be done manually as thepoet suggested. The incoming server is OK as imap and imap.telus.net with no encryption. The outgoing server has to be set to point to mail.1xbell.ca with NO authentication, port 25 and no encryption. The initial Bell tech support guy was quite close to the solution, just the wrong port number and the wrong sequence of setting it up.
I have been able to send successfully, but want to try a couple of more things before I declare it a complete success.

Update - I now have it working.
am not really sure what exactly fixed it.
I changed a lot of things but my setup now has the following which I think fixed.
outgoing server - p06-smtp.mail.me.com
override default port checked - port now 587
on more options button changed it to "use incoming server info".

Installed Lion, Outlook 11 for Mac won't send email anymore

Hey all - I installed Lion but now my work Microsft Outlook 11 accounts won't send email...looks like they receive though. Happening to anyone else? Any ideas on a fix?

In Finder you have to go to your user account's library, which Apple hid in Lion. You can still get to it by using the "Go to Folder" option in the Finder>Go menu.
In the dialog option that comes up, type in ~/Library
Inside the library is a "Caches" folder, and inside that folder is one called ".com.microsoft.outlook"
Try deleting that? As always, make sure you have a good backup before deleting anything in the library Hope it helps!

Outlook add-in breaks sending emails

I'm loving my new iPhone 6. But my newly installed iCloud add-in for Outlook 2010 on my Windows 8.1 PC is causing some difficulties.
I can't send email, most of the time. This problem started when I installed iCloud, and stopped when I disabled the iCloud plug-in in Outlook. It's random; some emails I can send, but most, not. I can receive but not send email after the 3.0 upgrade. Also, the stock and weather buttons never update.

Yeah, I put that in the title so hopefully people would see it right off the bat. I've been in the forum, looking at threads since the update to see if I'm the only one, and seem to be. I know tons of people are seeing problems with yahoo pushing email, but that's less of a concern to me at this point. And the fact that it worked just fine until this update tells me Apple broke it with their update. Surely I'm not the only person. And switching to gmail is not a good option for me. First of all, I hate gmail. Second of all, the sbcglobal account is my main mail account for my dsl line and I use it heavily. I don't want to switch. Shouldn't have to in my opinion.
I was in the Promenade in Santa Monica earlier, was going to ask a "Genius", but the wait to see one was ridiculous. couldn't get an appointment till Monday. I have my own email account since updating the system, my emails won't send.
I've tried deleting the account anf then adding it back, however it now has taken it off notes, contacts etc
It keeps coming up with the same message, 'connection to the outgoing server failed', though /i ca connect on my andriod mobile, my pc and my imac.

First it would help if you explain exactly what happens when you send an email.
Do you get an error message?
If so what does the message say?
The abilitly to send or receive emails does not fall on Apple or the IOS 7.
You email provider gives you that ability.
Double check and make sure your outgoing mail server is correct.
