Override Default Page Activation Workflow
Hello,
I am trying to override the default handling of Authors requesting page activations. By default, an Author that doesn’t have Replication privileges has the request sent to the Admin group. We’ve created several workflows specifically for different groups since each has their own approval flow:
CQ User Group CQ Workflow
Consumer >> Consumer Approval Workflow
eCRM >> Consumer Approval Workflow
Business >> Business Approval Workflow
I realize the Author could select the workflow from the Sidekick, but I need ot ensure the correct workflow is assigned if they simply click “Activate” from the Sidekick or the Site Admin (Websites) page. What’s the best way to accomplish this – writing some sort of servlet, using the Dynamic Participant Step, something else? The logic would be fairly straight forward – on activation request, check user group and assign page to pre-defined workflow and initiate.
You can set this in version 5.1.

When printing a front panel the default page size is letter. My windows printer has A4 as default page size. LabView always overrides my printer's default page size to letter.
The problem: I want to print programmatically the front panel. With the page size letter I get a broad left and bottom margin on the A4 page. I didn't find a possibility to change the default page size programmatically or manually.
I use LabView 2011 on Windows Vista.

i couldn`t find a programmtically way to set the page size to A4 in LabView. You can change parameters like orientation and print method (Postscript..), but i couldn`t find methods to determine windows printer dialog options.
A possible work around would be, to use System Exec VI to perform a print command on a prior LabView created report file (Word or PDF). There are several command line print tools on the web.

Well, you need to to know lit bit of BSP for this. The Page that is called initially is leso.html.
From SE80 > BSP Application > HCM_LEARNING, look for Leso.htm. In the onRequest event, you should find the below code
CALL METHOD application->create_url

im_parameter = lt_parameter
im_target = 'content'
IMPORTING
ex_url = core.
This code takes the user always to Training home. You need to replace this code to take the user to activities.htm.
Ofcourse, you cannot modify HCM_LEARNING. So you would need to create a Z copy of this and do the mapping in the view LSPAGE_ALIAS_C.

Can we configure the amount of newsfeed show on Mysite default page?
Our users will goto the My Site Host web application to check their newsfeed every working day. On the MySite default page, it used to show past several day's newsfeed. However, when the farm was rebooted at weekend, only last day (Friday) newsfeeds are
shown on their mysite default page on Monday. If they click their names, older newsfeed will be shown.
So the feeds are not lost. They are still resident in database or cache. But the default page just don't list them out by some reason. Users feel it is very inconsistent. May I know is it possible to change the behavior?Hi Mark,
The thing that there are some activities saved and some are not so mostly the activities that are not saved
are just kept in the distributed cache and once you reboot they are lost

I'm creating a single-page document, landscape orientation, and because I want most of the page filled with copy, I want top and bottom margins narrower than the default margins of Pages'09. I tried changing the margins in inspector, but I can't get around the default settings.

Did you set all four margin settings to zero in the Document Inspector, Document tab? Did you set the margin stops on the Rulers to the extremes? Are all the margins on the Layout Inspector, Layout tab set to zero? Those are about all you options, as far as I know. I'm assuming that your text is all in the text layer of a Word Processing Template.

To Bypass CAF Process Initiation default page
Hi folks,
I am triggering a CAF process from WebDynpro application and navigating to process iView from WD iView in portal using Absolute Navigation approach.
Note: i have created a URL iView to show CAF process in portal.
I am able to navigate to process iView. Here i get default page of process which contains input parameters and buttons to Initiate process.
I want to bypass this initial page.

i can think of two reason for this "default page" to appear:
1- You have exposed in input parameters with the " is required " checkbox activated , but you are not sending them any values in the URL, so as they are NULL the framework asks you to fill them.
2- You said you are using URL Instantiation, please check if you are using the &process.autostart=t in the url, for example:
../../sap.com/cafeugpuiinst/AInstantiation?process.template.id=4CC025B0506A11DE98E000145E2A8FE2&process.autostart=t

Other notes that might help yuo help me.
Machine is an iMac with 16gig of RAM.
There are two partitions on the drive... one for the OS and one for users.
The OS has an 80gig Partition with 50% free space.
The User partition is much more with about 75% free space.
In the past I have noticed Photoshop to be using over 8gig of RAM so maybe it is photoshop.

MorgsThere is excessive swapping of data between physical memory and virtual memory. That can happen for two reasons:
You have a long-running process with a memory leak (i.e., a bug), or
You don't have enough memory installed for your usage pattern.
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
When you notice the swap activity, open the Activity Monitor application and select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Click the heading of the Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The process named "Safari Web Content" renders web pages for Safari and other applications. It uses a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider it a prime suspect.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details. -
Errors displayed on the default page

When I launch EM, the default page shows two errors, one below the HOST CPU and the other under Active Sessions:
The one under HOST CPU Says:

The one under Active Sessions says:

VenkatI have seen such errors before (especially when the CPU was very busy). Log off and log back in.
It should fix the problem. If the error persists, reboot your machine as a last resort. -
How to Get My Dashboard as Default Page Instead of Home Page in OBIEE 11G?

I have one requirement where i need to change default page to "My Dashboard" like what we had in OBIEE 10G ?
Rite-now in OBIEE 11G when any user logs in they are directed to "Home" Page, but i want to change the navigation to "My Dashboard" for all user..
I know the option to in My Account and Change the Default dashboard in Preferences , but it's manual way to do it for all end-users.
and the other is to create the PORTALPATH Variable and do it from RPD.
So I am looking to some other way there we can change the navigation path from system file itself...

Actually I am just concern abt the OBIEE Dashboard page, the link that u have mentioned is for Application Server, where we can manage the multiple Application Portals.
and it also doesn't come with Middleware that we are installing for OBIEE.
so i did get some useful information but not related to my question.
is there any place in EM(Enterprise Manager) or Console(Admin Console) from where we can manage the Default Portal for OBIEE Users?

Opening firefox from begining, I have been able to set it to always open to google as it was in my old firefox default settings. If I remember correctly when you opened a tab, it would automatically open to the homepage. I'm not expierencing this with the new version. It is automatically going to the default page rather than the set homepage. (I just have learned to prefer the google search over the yahoo search over the years and am resistant to changing over, sorry)
A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).<br />
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

How to load a default page in web based application ?

I am new to j2ee , I have an application in which , when i start the application , login.html should be open by default .
One way i found is that put the page name in <welcome-file> tag inside web.xml.
My question is that there any other way like calling the dafault servlet or something else by which we can load the default page ?

that sounds (to me) like the right way to do this. I suppose another way would be to have index.html redirect using a meta tag, but that's a little messy IMHO.

How can I set app tabs to open to the default page on startup?
If I use an App Tab and click on a link from that tab, then exit and open Firefox, it opens up the website I was on when I closed Firefox the last time as the App Tab. For example, If I have Google as an app tab, make a search, click on a new website, and exit Firefox, the same website from before will load in my App tab instead of Google. When I open Firefox, I want my app tabs to open to their default pages, not the pages I was surfing from those tabs when I closed Firefox.
App Tabs are not protected against changing the URL by opening a link in that same tab and Firefox doesn't keep a record of the original URL.<br />
You can middle click a link to open the link in a new tab if you do not want the tab changing the URL.
You can lock the tab with the Tab Mix Plus extension.

1. check which is the Navigation bar assigned to the profile assigned to Agent.
2.. follow path : Customer Relationship Management Interaction Center WebClient Basic Functions Define Navigation Bar Profiles, look for the navigation assigned to your profile.
3. selecting your Navigation bar profile from Define Profiles and goto Assign Entries to Profiles, here you have Navigation Bar ID and Tittle. Against each of the navigation bar id a position has been assigned.
4. The lowest position assigned to Navigation bar Id will be set as default.
In your profile lowest position has been assigned to Identify Account, you assign even lower position to whichever ID you want to assign as default.

In JSF how do I set up a default page? Normally I would build a page called "index.htm" and the server would return this in response to requests containing no specific resource information (e.g. www.myweb.com).
