OWB-BI Derivation Error

After adding a BI-Location and Derivation of objects, When want to Deploy shows following error in log file:
Bad response: 404 - Not Found??
Help.
Regards,
Waqas

Somehow my 'REP_OWNER' got completely corrupted. I used following steps to resolve the issue.
1. Create a new repository called REP_OWNER2.
2. Delete an old repository (REP_OWNER) using ‘Repository_Assistant’ which also deletes the related roles pointing to REP_OWNER from each target schema (ex: STAGE, EDW, DM).
3. Manually delete all synonyms and WB_RT_VERSION_FLAG table from each target schema pointing to REP_OWNER.
4. Register all the target users from the Design Center.
5. First, import all the locations into the new repository (REP_OWNER2) from a backup .MDL file and register all of them. Then import rest of the stuff like database modules, file modules, process flows, pluggable mappings.
6. Configure all the database and process flow modules to their proper locations.
7. Deploy and execute.
Thanks

  • Funds Mangement - Fund center derivation error at the time of PO/MIGO

    Hello -
Generally ,If FM account assignements are available in purchase requisition , same should be carried to purchase order and to the good receipts. But I am getting an error at the time of PO or MIGO that " Fund center not derived'. Why this happening ? What can I do to avoid this problem. can I create a step in the derivation to keep the original FM assignments from the previous documents....is there something to do with field status??
    Thanks in Advance
    Chris

    Hi
Please read carefully tye warehouse concept
    Excample warehouse concept II
    >At PR no FM update
    >At PO no FM update
    >AT GR no FM update
    >AT consumption on Cost center, WBS or Internal order FM is updated and AVC is checked
Read the release note of ERP 6 or ERP5 the customising of Warehouse concept is well explained
    In sumary:
Create a stock commitment item statistically
    Create a warehouse funds center
    Create a funds
Create a derivation rule for warehouse concept 2
Create a derivation rule where you have plant, valuation class and warehouse funds center
Cretae a derivation rule fund>warehouse funds center>stock commitment item
Go in customising integration to make field status for assignement FM account asignments
Select PO and PR and make optional the funds, funds cenbter, commitment item
And when you will create a PR or PO FM data will come automatically

  • OWB repository login error

    Hi,
While connecting to the OWB design repository from OWB client the following errors are occured. This happens intermittently. Pls suggest how this can be rectified. we are using OWB 10g (10.1) and oracle 10g database.
AP10420:Error Message: Listener refused the connection with the following error
ORA-12516, TNS:listener could not find available handler with matching protocol stack.
followed by the host name and connection string
    Regards
    Kishan

I'm not sure I can help you, but I have some questions....
Is OWB the only software getting this error message?
If it's not, does this gives you any clue?
When you say interminttently, I understand that sometimes you can connect to database, sometimes don't. Is it true?
Does this happens since you have installed OWB or is it something recent?
Have you asked the DBA if he/she has recently changed something about db configuration? It might be related to dispatchers (multi threaded servers)...
Maybe looking for ORA-12516 in database general forum and you'll find answeres for your question.
    Good luck.

  • Owb process flow error handling

    Hi,
    I am using OWB 10gR2.
I have 2 process flows that each call a series of mappings. Then I have one "master" process flow that calls the two aforementioned proecess flows. When a mapping errors, I want my whole master process flow to abort. I put error handling in, but it doesn't seem to work. For example, if I get an error in the first process flow, I get my email notification that something is wrong. The process ends. However, the master process flow continues to go. I want it to stop. It continues to go because there wasn't an error in the first process flow. The error was handled, and the process flow ended successfully. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to handle this type of situation? I'm not doing anything revolutionary. I'm just new to these process flows.
    Thanks,
    Tim

hmm ok this sounds a bit weird to me.
I've created similar processflows with customers and never had similar problems like you describe.
Just to verify your design, here is how I would solve your master1 processflow.
    _______________________END_WARNING
    w w
    start----PF1----------s---------------PF2------s---- END_SUCCESS
    e e
    \___________________\____END_WARNING
where the conditions for the transitions is indicated with w for warning, s for success and e for error.
Some poorly made ascii art there but hopefully you get the idea...:p
This also sounds like what you've done already and with extra email functionality.
Are you sure that pf2 starts after pf1? Or can it actually run in parallel with pf1 but just finishes after pf1 so it seems like it its done afterwards? The reason I ask is that I experienced that in one of my processflows with around 30+ mappings, one of the mappings that was supposed to be executed almost at the end, executed before everything else and messed everything up. It was quite the annoying little bug and took a long time for me to discover. If you have noticed on the transitions, there is a little number next to the line on the canvas, indicating in which order the operators are to be executed. In my case, two transitions had the same number and that caused one of the mappings to just start as soon as the processflow was told to start. If this is the case there is a way to set these, but I don't remember right now. Delete and recreate the transitions also do the trick I think.
    Hope you figure it out!
    Ragnar
edit: seems like my ascii art got a bit messed up... :(

    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi Mallee,
I think it is database instance configuration issue, look at this error
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 4096 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","BEGIN
Check requirements for instance configuration in OWB installation guide and increase memory parameter(s) (for Oracle10G database it is SGA_TARGET parameter).
Talk about this problem with your DB administrator.

  • OWB execute mapping error

I am getting the following error in OWB when I try to execute the mapping.
“RTC-5006: an error occurred during execution. The exception was oracle.wh.service.sdk.runtime.queryException: null
    <Map_Name> has not been deployed.”
I have deployed the mappings and process flow and the deploy status is "success"
This was working fine until I purged the deployment data through repository browser yesterday
We are using OWB repository 10.2.0.1.0 and OWB client 10.2.0.1.31. The Oracle version is 10 G (10.2.0.3.0). OWB is installed on Redhat Linux.

I was able to resolve this by copying the mdl file to the linux guest machine and running the import from there.

  • OWB package import error. PRS-00318. In need of urgent help

    Hello everyone,
I am having a weird error when i try to import a package in owb. Saying "PRS-00318: SQL Error encountered while updating CMPALLFOLDERFCO for key ********************************* Please contact Oracle Support with the stack trace and details on how to reproduce it. " ( neglect the ** i didnt want to write that bit )
This started to happen a couple of days ago. When i try to import a package or re-import them it seems like the procedures in the packages all seems like they are requiring a parameter ( i understand it in the import window, the paranthesis after the procedure name like procudre_name( ) ) But actually there is not a parameter required for the procedure to work. It is not declared at all. When i hit the import button it gives me the error below.

Well i have no idea what is going on. Even the existing packages ( that are imported long before this error ocurred ) are showing the procedures with parameters.
Anyone having any idea how to solve this problem ?
    Your help would be appreciated.

finally sorted it out! it had something to do with the ArrayCollection in the mx.collections not being linked to the AS hence the error. so heres what i did:
    import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
    import flash.net.registerClassAlias;
    registerClassAlias("flex.messaging.io.ArrayCollection", ArrayCollection);
i imported the ArrayCollection class and the registerClassAlias class into the AS i was using and then registered the alias then voila! error gone!

  • OWB deploy system error

    Hello,
I'm having issues deploying large mappings:
"ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 4000 bytes (PLS non-lib hp,pdzdM80_Allocate_Block)"
I'm getting the same error when deploying via either XP Client or OMB*Plus on the server. This started to happen a couple of days ago on a brand new system. On the old system it is still a OK. I CAN get source code for the mapping (package) in question off of the old system and compile it on a new system using SQL*PLUS?!
What could be wrong with OWB install/ setup? Some notes on Metalink suggest that it is purely DB/ HOST issue, but then how come via SQL*PLUS deploy works?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex.

    Mark
Thank you for your response, I have figure out and I now successfully deploy, I deployed through Deployment Management. But when I go to database as a target and the table is create there but empty, (no data)
    I have 2 questions:
    1. When I deploy the mapping itself sucessfully, do I need to Execute the mapping ? I tried to right click / Execute then it saying something like this :
    Starting Execution COLLEGE_YR_CODES_MAP
    Starting Task COLLEGE_YR_CODES_MAP
RPE-1013-SQL_LOADER_ERROR SQL Loader reported error condition, number 3.
    Completing Task COLLEGE_YR_CODES_MAP
    Completing Execution COLLEGE_YR_CODES_MAP
(college_yr_codes_map is the mapping name, i map a flat file to a relational table)
    2. I have to map multi flat files as source file to target as oracle table, do I need to create multi connector for each flat files.
Thank you very much for all the help I can get here.

Is the schema that you are deploying to a member of OWB (security in the global explorer)? Are they registered as a target schema? I have a synonym for created in each of my registered target schemas for the owb.WB_RT_MAPAUDIT object.
