  • IPad won't send emails but iPhone does. iPad message says server does not recognise email address resetting account makes no difference what else can I try?,

My iPad won't send emails despite identical settings with iPhone which does work. " server does not recognise email address" resetting account fails to solve issue. What else can I try?

Have you checked ALL the settings including the port assignments? Easiest way to get those back to is to delete the email account from the iPad then redo the email account. Usually the ISP providing the email account will have instructions on their web site.

  • TS3276 Mac Mail won't send emails with signatures

My Mac Mail won't send emails with signatures. I get the "whoosh" sound and they show in sent mail, but the recipient doesn't receive them until I take off the signature and resend the email. Without a signature, it is received. It never used to be a problem, but started this past month. Please advise!

Did Earthlink have you try using their authenticated SMTP server?
If not, try changing Earthlink's SMTP server settings to the following:
    SMTP Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Server Port: 25 or 587. Assuming Earthlink is your ISP, 25 should work.
Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL): Off or not selected.
Authentication Type: MD5 Challenge-Response. Not sure if this authentication type is available with 10.2 and if not, select Password.
User Name: Your entire Earthlink email address.
Password: The password for your Earthlink email account - the same password used to check the incoming mail server for new messages.

  • Calendar won't send email reminders since updating to Mavericks?

Since upgrading to OS Mavericks Calendar won't send email reminders.
I have been able to set them.  But they don't actually send.
I have visited multiple sites and discussions and attempted the suggestions posted there but nothing seems to help.  I have even contact Apple feedback, and still haven't heard back from anyone.
Just to clarify, i have attempted the following fixes:
    - Adjusted email settings to ensure iCloud ermail account is properly set up
    - Adjusted reminder settings in calendar to ensure the reminders should send
    - ensured that "My Card" is properly set up in Contacts
I can't seem to find anything else to help?  Anyone have any ideas?

I am haivng the same issue too.
According to some other posts, I deleted and readded the "Me" record in the address book. When creating a new calender entry I set it to send email. When the notification pops up it's just a normal alert and no email.
    Any ideas?

  • IPhone won't send email

My iPhone 4S won't send emails. I can receive emails just fine but I can't seem to send any. Each time I try to send an email it says my password is incorrect (which is isn't). I've checked my STMP server to make sure the information on it was correct but when I typed in my password it wasn't responding. Any other suggestions or solutions I could try to fix this problem?

    Hello Chantelle103
If everything checks out, then the only other option is to remove the email account and then add it back. Then test with sending out the email again.

  • Installed Lion, Outlook 11 for Mac won't send email anymore

Hey all - I installed Lion but now my work Microsft Outlook 11 accounts won't send email...looks like they receive though. Happening to anyone else? Any ideas on a fix?

In Finder you have to go to your user account's library, which Apple hid in Lion.  You can still get to it by using the "Go to Folder" option in the Finder>Go menu.
In the dialog option that comes up, type in ~/Library
Inside the library is a "Caches" folder, and inside that folder is one called ".com.microsoft.outlook"
Try deleting that?  As always, make sure you have a good backup before deleting anything in the library   Hope it helps!

  • Sending EMAIL to Verizon

I've looked through the verizon.com site several times and I still can't find email address for verizon billing.  I have a question about my service and the bill for that service, but I can't find any place to send email question.  It is all just phone numbers.  And of course the billing office is closed right now.  When they are open, I am not available.  There must be a way to send email to verizon, isn't there?  Can someone point me in the right direction please?I

mac won't send emails but can receive them

    Hi Mick209
I am in the UK and eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router.  Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.
I found this fix below on https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4604180?start=15&tstart=0
It worked for me.  If you can't link to the URL, here is the body of the text
There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
    - Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
    - Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
    And then click on "apply"
    - restart your computer.
    That should fix the issue.
Credit goes to vincentfromcork for providing me with the solution.
If it works, spread the word :-)

  • Changing accounts, won't send email

I created a new Mail account, but when I try to send email I get a message,
"The server response was: 5.7.1 Authentication Required
Use the pop-up menu below to try a different outgoing mail server. All messages will use this server until you quit Mail or change your network settings."
The problem with this is it only lists my old smtp server. I have the new server info entered correctly. I have made the old account inactive. I can't send mail through either account.
I am switching to Verizon Fiber Optic (FiOS).

If you created a new email account on your Mac's Mail.app client program, then does the new username match a valid network mailserver login username at that ISP's mail server, that you have specified in Mail.app's account preferences for this new account? It sounds like the ISP's mail server may not be recognizing your username as a valid user on their mailserver so they are not allowing you to send mail through their smtp server.
Either that, or are you trying to send/retrieve mail through this new mail account when your IP address wasn't assigned by that mail server's network? Sometimes, ISPs won't let you access their mailservers if your computer's WAN IP address does not belong to their network. As an example, the local university won't let me send mail from my home computer because my computer's WAN IP address is not part of the university's subnet. They do let me retrieve mail via SSL, but they won't let me send it, SSL or not, username/password authentication or not. If I'm not physically attached to their subnet, then no can do -- only webmail available. (They do allow secure shell access from "foreign" IP addresses so there is a way around that to where I can send and receive mail from my university account, but I have to start Terminal and establish a ssh session with port tunneling before I can launch Mail, and my mail server prefs are set up in what might be considered an unorthodox manner).

  • Cannot send email from Verizon to a specific domain using the web UI

I'm trying to send an email to a specific address on a domain I own from a Verizon account using the web UI. Whenever I click send, a popup appears saying "Your e-mail contains the following invalid e-mail addresses:" followed by the email address. I can send email to this address from a GMail account as well as my work email.
In Chrome, I can see that a "code":1002 error is being produced.
Does anyone know why this would happen? Does Verizon check destination domains for reputation? Is there any way to debug this further?

  • Document library workflow won't send email

    Hi,
when i set the settings for a workflow on a Document library, it won't send an email.
I use a workflow on a document item.
In the settings i use the Three statement, task list "tasks". History list is "Workflow History".
Then i use "Start this workflow when a new item is created".
On the next settings page I set the task details to sent an email to a costum AD account.
Further i have set all the states in the library and settings.
But even though the custom account(email) is filled in, it won't sent an email to that email adress.
Can anyone help me to understand why it won't sent an email?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Many things can go wrong with the a workflow.  I am going to assume you are creating your own workflow via Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer. I always recommend you add a couple "Log to Workflow History" actions to see where the workflow
is working and is not working.  For example, when the workflow starts, immediately log "Started WF".  Also add one to the end of the WF.  Some times a couple in between actions will help you track progress.
Run the workflow with the "Log to Workflow History" Actions ... if it runs but stops when trying to email ... the email is your issue.
Now for a couple things to check:
Are the Outgoing email settings in Central Administration configured?
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263462%28v=office.15%29.aspx
If this is not configured, email cannot be sent.
Does the user have a valid email account?
If so, this is good (send a quick email to verify). Be sure you can validate incoming emails.
Is the User Profile Synchronization Running?
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee721049%28v=office.15%29.aspx
    http://www.harbar.net/archive/2012/07/23/sp13adi.aspx
When the User Profile Sync is not running, funny things can happen with profiles ... such as no email for the user.  The User Profile Sync pulls the Active Directory attributes and set them in SharePoint. It also copies this information to all the site
collections on the farm.  Without the user profile sync running, it is very likely that you may not have an email on the user.
You can add the email to the user on the particular site manually via PowerShell:
    Set-SPUser -Identity
    "DOMAINusername" -Email
    "[email protected]"-Web
    http://yourdomain.com
    More Info on Set-SPUser: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff607827%28v=office.15%29.aspx
If you are having this issue and you have many users, consider using the User Profile Sync.
Hope this helps .. .please pick answer if it does help you.
    Cheers,
    -Brian Culver
