Password being forced to change every next day.

Hello,
I have this one user who is being forced to change the EBS password evry next login. He alswys being asked to change the password every next day.
What could the Possibly the issue?
Password expiration is set none. and there is no specific settings done in profile options for sign on. but only this user is facing this issue.. any idea?

    I am no longer able to access my Apple ID account settings as every time I log in I am prompted to change my password.  My password absolutely meets all the minimum requirements and yet I cannot get past the login for being forced into changing the password. Is this defective behavior on the Apple site or is Apple really forcing me to change my password?

    Welcome to the Support Communities!  So that I can understand your question, where are you trying to log in when the password request happens?  Are you at iCloud.com, or using email, or iTunes, FaceTime or iMessage?  Are you getting an error message that states to change the password, or is it that when you enter your password, you can't get past the log in screen?  Are you working with a Mac, an iPhone or iPad, or a PC?
    The first thing I would suggest is to go to the Apple ID website, sign in with your password, and confirm that the one you are currently using is correct.   If you change the password here, you will need to change it in each of the settings I mentioned above.

    Click “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
    If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you're unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
    Click "Password and Security".
    In the "Choose a new password" section, click Change Password. 
    Enter your old password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Click Save when done.
    The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password.
    If you are using an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) - I would first restart the device.  If you still get the prompt, then you may need to reset the device.

    If the issue still persists, then re-entering the password information for each of the services above would be the next thing to try.  You can do this from the Settings app on the iOS devices; System Preferences on your Mac; or iCloud Control Panel on a PC.

    How are you trying to log into your account ? You can log into an account :
    - via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com
    - Store > View Account menu option on a computer's iTunes
    - tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on an iOS device
    All three let you view and/or change your billing address, though only the last you let you view payment details. You could try one of the other methods and see if they let you login without requesting a password change.

    If you want to check your account's purchase history then you can do so via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com

  • Changing a password on installed Windows Printer every 90 days

    I use an HP off my networked office PC. To get to the attached printer from my iBookG4 I had to use my user name and password...you know the drill...smb://username:password@computer/share. Well, good old Sarbanes Oxley requires that passwords be changed every 90 days. I cannot find anywhere where I can simply change the password. Right now I have to delete and reinstall and my IS guy gave me a share name that is 15 characters long all by itself, with underscores (he's a PC guy...). Please tell me there is somewhere I can go and just change the password....

    Hi there,
    You can change this via the CUPS web interface. Open your browser and type http://127.0.0.1:631/printers. Click on Modify Printer for the one you need to modify. You will be prompted for your admin account and pwd. Then click Continue until you get to the Device URI where you can change the password. Then click Continue until you finish.

  • Being forced to change Administrator Account when Loading Visual Admin

    Hello,
    When logging into Visual Admin I am being forced to change my Administrator password.
    I followed the instructions on enabling the SAP* user.  When I log into Visual Admin I can not change the "No password change required" checkbox for the Administrator user, and it does not look like it is set either.
    Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated?

    No.  It all of the sudden required me to change it.  I do not want to change the password, I just need to know why I am getting the prompt and how to reslove it.

    There are several possible causes for this problem.
    1. Two (or more) computers on the local network have the same Bonjour name, such as "X's-MacBook-Pro.local".
    2. You have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
    3. A Mac wakes from sleep due to network traffic. This is due to a bug in OS X that may only affect some models.
    4. A device that gets its network address from the router wakes from sleep, and the address it was using before has been assigned to another device.
    5. A third-party wireless router has incompatible settings or firmware. In that case, refer to the manufacturer or ISP for support. Restarting the router may help, temporarily.

  • Why is Password being forcefully changed, every time i buy anything on app store or itunes? happened at least 6 times in the last 2 months.

    i have a apple phone and a ipad Air, eveytime i buy anything on itunes or even something free or not free on the app store, i am forced to changed my password, as it says my old password does not work no more. if there is anything i should know of what is going it would be great.

    For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices. 
    That all works.
    It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now.  They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
    I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

  • New user profile every 20 days - how to disable?

    we're using zenworks 7 to manage windows xp sp3 clients. Actually every 20 days every client gets a new one (username.001) is written locally :( - i don't know why. There must be a rule with 20 days in it which is the reason for this behaviour.
    Im not familiar with zenworks - but i searched the entire menues from zenworks for a value of 20 days and i found a menue called "Properties of Workstation Pack: Windows XP: Zenworks Desktop Management Agent" with an option "policy definition for dynamic local users" - there is a mark enabled for "enable cache for temporary users" with an value of 20 days - could that be the bad value who is responsible for the new profiles every 20 days? I've set the value to 200 and applied, but nothing changes and next day also 4 users told me that they become a new profile - what can i do.

    Are you looking all users to reset their password at once ? If not, as and when you define users (I assume you don't define users in large volumes daily), you can set this to 60. Assuming you've set this policy today (to expire passwords every 60 days) and wish to update this in the database for all users, the update statement that you've specified is correct (with suitable WHERE clause). For all new users, you've got to define this when defining the users, though !

  • I am being harassed by customer service the day after my bill is due every month.

    At least 6 phone calls every day, beginning at 5am, followed by text messages. All you have to you is tell me once, via text, that my payment is due. I indicated on my Verizon Wireless account online that my preferred method of contact is text message. I do not appreciate the harassment, as a customer of 11 years, who always pays the bill without disconnection. Here's a novel idea - Leave me a voicemail, automated or not, and you will get the message across. Of course I'm not going to answer the phone at 5am, but that is no reason to call me every 2 hours for the rest of the day! Calling every 2 hours is not going to magically make more money appear in my bank account. Yesterday it was 5:43am, 9:10am, 10:21am, and 11:24am. I answered the one at 11:24am to indicate to the service rep that I was planning to pay my bill the following day, but just waiting for a check to clear in my bank account. When the service rep actually picked up from the automated calling system, it sounded like she was on an airplane rifling through a big stack of papers in a microphone. I couldn't hear a single thing she said, and just tried to yell over the background noise that I was paying my bill the next day. Finally I had to tell her that I was hanging up because I couldn't hear hear at all. Today so far I've been called at 5:43am, 7:36am, 9:36am. I paid my bill at 9:30, and just got another call at 10:07am and 10:14am. No voicemails, of course. I do not appreciate this treatment, and it disgusts me to be harassed on this level. It's inhuman.

    mrhelper If I am paying my bill late, it does not mean I am deserving of harassment. It means I deserve to be called and notified of my late payment and asked for said payment. It does not mean I deserve calls every 2 hours beginning at 5am. I'm talking about harassment here. It is illegal for a debt collector to harass you under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). It does not mean that you don't still owe the money, but it means you are entitled to being treated like a human being about it. There are laws being broken here. I'm filling out a report with the FTC, and hopefully they will consider changing their methods of contacting their customers. My phone has never been disconnected, but yes, I have delayed the payment a few days past due before. Sometimes the money just isn't there on the exact day the bill is due, but I always pay it. Such was the case this month. I am on a road trip across the country, have no access to my bank, and had to wait for a paycheck to clear from across the country. There was nothing I could do except wait. My snarky response to anyone else is because the point is being missed about my complaint. I didn't write this forum post to get lectured about being responsible about my bills. I wrote this post because I am reaching a dead end with contacting Verizon Wireless customer service directly. They seem to pigeonhole you into using their social media outlets. Instead of hearing from Verizon Wireless directly, I hear from people who are just trolling this forum to be mean to people.

    one of my application uses APEX authentication scheme. I would like to force end users to change their passwords every 30 days.
    Account Expiration and Locking is enabled. Is it enough to set "30 days" in End User Account Lifetime (days) option that I've found in Home>Administration>Manage Services>Set Workspace Preferences, or should I do something else?

    We are using NW2004s with BI and DI,EP. We set the parameter "user password expiration" for every 30 days for the NW2004S systems(dual stack).
    In  the system  users SAPJSF,NWDI_CMSADM,J2EE_ADMIN,NWDI_ADM, ADMINITRATOR is also getting change once in every month(30 days),So that we need to change the password and it should get update in the visual admin and config tools. Some time this arising problem. Is there any way to avoid the password expire for this particular user in the system .
    Note :Password expire parameter should keep compulsory  in the system
    So Please guide us to resolve those problem.

    I don't suggest you to change J2EE_ADMIN password. instead you should logon with your user.
    Anyway.... please find below a small program to control passwords validity. for some users is very usefull.

  • Windows 7 Expired Password - Recvd Warning prompts but not forced to change password

    Our Windows 7 users are prompted when their passwords will expire in 14 Days, however They are not forced to change thier password before it expires. If the users ignore the expiration warning they can only get logged into the network after having the helpdesk
    reset thier password.
    Is there a way to force Windows 7 users to change thier passwords on the day it expires. Our WinXP users get the 14 day warning and are forced to change thier passwords on day 14.
    I have the GPO configured to notifiy users when thier passwords will expire in 14 days

    After applying above settings, the user can change the password by default at the expire day. Please create a new domain profile and test the issue on several Windows
    7 machines. Can the user be enforced to change password at expire day? If not, please refer to the following steps to collect the information for research.
    1. On the DC, open GPMC, right-click Group Policy Results, choose Group Policy Results Wizard, follow the wizard to collect a Group Policy result for problematic
    Windows 7 client.
    2. On the Windows 7 machine where GPO failed to apply, please perform the following steps to collect log files:
    a) Please add the specified registry key to enable group policy log (%windir%\debug\usermode\gpsvc.log), and remove or rename it to disable group policy log after
    collecting data. You may need to create the Diagnostics key if it is not there.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics
    Type: DWORD
    Value: GPSvcDebugLevel
    Data: 0x30002 (hexadecimal)

  • I am having to reset my icloud password every few days

    I have had this recurrent problem over the last 2 - 3 weeks.  Every few days I find that Mail won't log in to my .mac account and tells me to reset my password. When I go to the reset page it tells me my password has been locked 'for security reasons'.  I am on maybe my 5th or 6th new password in around 3 weeks, when I have not had to reset my password for over a decade previously.  This is all obviously a massive pain: I am now having to use passwords I cannot readily remember, because iCloud won't let me re-use old passwords; and I am, of course, also having to change the password on my iPad and my iPhone and re-enter it for various iCloud sync'd services such as Address Book.
    Can anyone please explain why this is happening and if there is anything I can do to stop it?

    In my case I have to change the password every week.
    The requested reset takes long time when I am on mobile modem with low quality connection (traveling). Have file on Desktop, where type  my new password instead of the old one every reset. Do not think this is secure - but what to do...
    The only guess is - Mail is checking the account every several minutes (I have it open when in office) and Apple has some  limit to the number of connections before such request is issued.
    I would prefer not to be bothered by this. I was using the same password from the beginning till quite recent time when this reqests started. There were no problems with security and I do not like and do not want to change password so often.
    Anyone in here managed to avoid these requests? I am not using LinkedIn. Actually do not remember anything where I  could put my iCloud password even once (especially to put it each week after weekly reset) - except iCloud itself...
    Or are there just 5 of us with such problem - something common with the iCloud registration? I have my account since iTools/.Mac. May be they simply want me out?
